He roamed aimlessly. He had no idea he was in the playground of three-dimensional creatures. He recognized the bright ball that those creatures call a star. It was the Helios. He felt it would be interesting to merely stop by and observe the creatures that inhabited on that blue planet. He thought they were cute; however, not everyone of his kind shared his opinion. He glided towards the solar system, passing via Uranus and Neptune. He was shocked to see another member of his kind while passing through Saturn. He knew her, but he didn't expect her to appear like that. Her appearance was that of a human woman, and she was lying on the rings of Saturn. Furthermore, she reached out and ate some clouds from Jupiter. He was confused because he knew these clouds couldn't be eaten.
Now, it would be nice to visualize those species as large floating lights in space because they are more advanced species that humans cannot see, and calling them by human pronouns is incorrect. Humans cannot perceive them because they exist in a higher dimension. Humans are aware that the universe has one, two, and three dimensions. However, many are unaware that the number of dimensions does not stop at three. There are four, five, and possibly many more dimensions, but each is able to perceive its own and the ones below it.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" He questioned as he approached her. Her eyes brightened as she recognized who he was.
"Hey... I didn't expect to see you here."
She was always like this, never addressing him directly and always speaking to him in her low voice, which made him nervous. But he like the sense of being nervous around her.
"I thought those weren't edible?" he inquired.
She paused for a time before grasping what he meant: "Oh, absolutely, they aren't. But they have a nice feeling when they're in my mouth."
He pretended not to hear the implying tone in her voice. "And what about that look of yours?"
She stood up before responding, "What's wrong with me looking like a human? Why are you so boring?" She pouted and began walking towards the blue planet he was heading to at first. He followed her behind.
"Look, that's the woman I aimed to look like," she murmured, scrunching before the Earth and pointing to a land, where Zoro spotted a woman who looked exactly like the one next to him. "Her name is Robin, and I enjoy watching her. Don't you have anyone you enjoy watching?"
The woman, Robin, was lecturing a class at the time, and they were watching her do her job with enthusiasm. Her actions, speech, and emotions made him think of someone he knew.
He considered about the question she posed. He knew the Robin human she mentioned. He recognized all of the humans. Their specie experienced time differently than humans did, thus they could see all of the time that the three-dimensional universe had lived and would continue to exist.
Humans are restricted to three dimensions: length, depth, and width, but not to the time. However, these species can also contain it. Humans only have left-right, front-back, and up-down, but these species also have before-after. Just as humans can look back to see what is behind them, these species can do the same with time, so he looked before to see the ancient humans and after to see the future humans.
Before responding to her, he transformed himself into the human male he most enjoyed watching. "I believe his name is Zoro. He's a fun guy." He then showed the human Zoro, who was training in a gym with inhuman concentration at the time. He knew Robin and Zoro knew each other and had romantic feelings for one other. He loved to come and watch Zoro try to flirt with her and fail, while Robin laughed at him because he thought he was adorable.
She chuckled at him. "I can see the reason," He remembered how much he loved hearing her laugh.
When they first met, she was significantly more quiet, spoke less, and had a more negative vibe about her. However, after so much time together, she began to laugh more, which he enjoyed. They spent their time observing humans and other three-dimensional species, as well as hanging out in their universe's most beautiful areas. They observed the brilliant stars and the colors of the nebulae. They made themselves bigger to watch the whole Milky Way and shrinked to surf with the harsh storms of Jupiter.
He saw her return, away from the Earth and back to their usual hangout. After reaching far enough to observe the entire three-dimensional galaxy, they were able to see more galaxies. He didn't know how many, but he was confident that there were numerous different three-dimensional universes where they could simply hang out. And he was aware that there were numerous versions of four-dimensional worlds that they couldn't see, but he couldn't care less about them.
"Can I ask you something?" She began as they came to a halt among the universes. He nodded for her to continue. "Why did you choose him, Zoro, I mean? You could have made yourself look like anyone or anything..."
He felt he could do what she always did to him: answer the question with another question. "And why did you choose Robin? You may have been the most beautiful person, the strongest, or even a king."
She sighed in response as she gazed at every three-dimensional universe they could perceive. She searched for humans called Robin and Zoro in each one. In one of them, they were in the same friend group; in the other, they were colleagues; in one, Robin was a witch and Zoro was a knight; there was one where Zoro went to fight for his country and Robin always waited for him; in one universe, they were just drawings as two pirates and only existed in two dimensions; in one, they were both immortal deities; in one, they were fighting the bad guys together; in one, Robin was the masculine and Zoro was the feminine human; in one they were highschool students and living their teenage dream together; and in one they were dancing in their kitchen to a well-known song.
She gazed at him as she focused on the final universe, making the melody audible for them as she extended her hand to him. He grinned and accepted it, placing his other hand on her waist and hers on his shoulder, and they began to dance to the rhythm.
We'll meet again
Don't know where, don't know when
But I know we'll meet again
Some sunny day [*]
"I will find you and adore you no matter where we go, what we do, or how we change. If fate does not let me, I am sure that you will find me."
"Because you're Robin and I'm Zoro."
