Keith doesn’t have to make idle chatter with his customers. Most of them are quiet enough, and the ones who aren’t simply ask him for information he now knows better than the knife always at hand.
Altea’s Garden is a flower shop filled with super exotic, usually dangerous plants. Keith has to give a safety run down practically with every sale, and he lives for the arrogant smiles sliding off into fear and discomfort.
Lance is a personality, and it’s partially thanks to this aspect of him that he does so well at his family run tattoo parlour: “Lost and Found at Sea: Marin-Martinez Tattoos”.

Leo Valdez is a friend, he and Lance get confused for siblings a lot, to which they both sigh at the blatant racism. Keith and Nico aren’t exactly friends, but after Shiro/Matt adopt him, well. Nico’s never had a brother.
Piper is here, and hazel x Frank (nico’s sister is lost, Percy is around sometimes with Annabeth; Reyna checks in on nico sometimes. I kinda want a magical world with magical tattoos...yes. They’ve all got powers—as ‘rare’ as it is (more and more people nowadays since outlawing witch/magic hunts), ppl with powers tend to be drawn to each other. Piper/Reyna? Magnus ChasexAlex (piper and lance /are/ related, tho, through a Scottish great-grandparent).
Stark differences between Lance and Leo—Leo is warmer, his sadness different—he’s never gotten over his mom, he’s still reeling from Jason’s disappearance (knows they’ll never see each other again), and very much feels his lack of family, the lack of a support system that isn’t him. Meanwhile, Lance adores his family, and misses them immensely when he goes off to uni after the summer. Leo and Coran empathise more with each other, tho Leo finds coran’s general behaviour (kindness) a bit off putting. He smiles and compliments allura, but doesn’t linger, mind already drifting elsewhere to focus.
Keith is a fiery, violent anger. Nico is a cold, terrifying one.
Lance flows and changes like the ocean, a vastness about him you can’t hope to see the entirety of. Leo is a calm flame, for the most part- -always moving, still dangerous, but not out of control. Leo has immense self-control when in counts. He’s a bit more mature than Lance, though how is Lance different...Lance is more optimistic about others. Leo just calls it like it is. They actually get off on a challenging foot at first, until Lance, surprisingly, takes a step back and compliments Leo on something. They’ve been great friends ever since.
Arc 2: uni. They’re in the same city, honestly. I’d like it to be London. Different unis, tho Lance’s and Leo’s are super close, and they live close enough to each other. Lance and Hunk are flatmates, mayhaps with pidge. Piper, Hazel, and Leo are flatmates. Nico and Reyna; Thalia and annabeth (ya 1, yr 2 on w Percy); Percy and Frank; keith, Matt, shiro; allura (aro) and grue and Brian (from Wildbow’s “Worm”).
