Everything is perfect !
Chapter 1 Who’s at the door?
I stood, thinking to myself. I turned to look behind me and noticed a person standing all alone in a dark corner. She was wearing a dark grey hoodie. Her hair was silky and perfect. She looked familiar, like I had seen her before, perhaps in that dream I had last night.
I started to walk away and head in the direction of Vr Stop. My mind started to drift. Why did she seem so familiar? I started to speed up, cautiously looking around until I finally arrived at Vr stop. It was quite busy in the afternoons, so I decided to go to work earlier than usual to clean up the store a bit. I started to set everything up for the long day ahead of me.
At the corner of my eye, I thought I saw something. I quickly turned around, expecting a customer there. But no-one was there. Around 4pm I started to slowly walk back home, walking past my favourite shops, trying not to go inside. When I got home, I saw all of my friends watching NAME(16 yr old) playing Bear’s Pizzeria. He was shaking all over, and he was a total wimp. I guess he is the youngest. I laughed as I slowly walked over to my room to get my headset. I came back out to see utter chaos—pizza everywhere, rubbish scattered all over the floor—so I started playing Gorilla Tip in my room. Farid can hear talking in the distance.
About an hour later, I was chilling on the couch with my friends, watching a horror movie. It's all about someone who keeps having these thoughts in their head and is being controlled by some sort of god. I was just about to go get some more food because my friend (16 years old) ate all the popcorn when I heard a shattering sound from outside. I went over to the window to check it out.
I couldn't see anything, apart from the light coming from the lights outside that lit up the road with a sort of misty and haunting light. I stared out there for a bit, then I shrugged, walked over to my cozy corner I had made with pillows and blankets, and started reading a book called Everything is Perfect! the cover had a girl hiding her face, her blue eyes exaggerated.
The book starts off with someone walking down an alleyway; it seemed to be run-down, like no one had been there for years.
I kept reading.
The person stops by a hotel, seeming to know it. Like a good friend.
The person smiles.
Then the person steps into the light, showing a gleaming knife in her hand as she looks up at a building close by.
She stood.
Unmoving.
…
She slowly starts to move again, heading towards the building.
She walked up a spiral staircase that was leaning sideways from the weight.
Then she finally gets to where she was hoping.
I hear a banging sound at the door. I look up from the book, putting it beside me.
My heart skips a beat. Quickly, I rushed to the door. Peeking through the window, I stood as still as I had ever been before.
Out of the window, there was a face. Staring into my eyes. I slowly backed away from the door as it creaked open. I shut my eyes and held my breath, covering my mouth. When I heard a familiar voice, it was (17 year old).
I slowly got up from the floor, where I had been lingering, shivering from the sudden gust of wind from outside.
“Are you ok? you seem a bit shaken.” (17 year old) said. “Sort of, but it's safe now, right?” I sigh. It sounded like my voice was coming from all directions. I shook my head, trying to get rid of the uneasy feeling. My head was ringing.
I went to turn the fan on, as I realised I was sweating.
When I looked back at the book, it looked like it was glaring back at me, seeming like it wanted something from me.
(17 year old) “Want to play a game?” she said. I looked up at her, something didn't seem right.
I stepped away from her. (17 year old) “When will you get it?”
As she quickly tried reaching out and grabbing me, she turned into… the creature.
I tried to run, but I was cornered.
I yelled for help, but no-one heard me.
I suddenly jolt up, wide awake. Covered in sweat.
I must've fallen asleep..
But the fan is still on…
I sprint over to the book.
The cover looked back at me with innocent blue eyes.
