Patient 842593

Summary:

I was assigned to patient #842593. He’s an interesting guy, he told me stories of pizza places and animatronics. I never believed what was to come, I never thought that would be the outcome.

Notes:

The ending line is from the song “Into the Pit” By Dheusta ft. Dawko (Except I changed it up a bit)
Also the patient number is a reference to the purple hexadecimal code in Five Nights at Freddy’s 3.

Sorry for any spelling mistakes :]

Chapter 1: Hospital room

Chapter Text

“Good morning Mr. Afton.” I always said good morning to him just so he could tell it was me. I could tell he was smiling back at me. His body was badly burned and his vocal cords were so damaged. I’m surprised he’s alive, I guess he’s like superman. A building caught fire a while ago, it was a pizzeria of some kind. That’s where we (the medical team) found him. He was in some odd rabbit metal suit. My guess was that he worked there and was wearing a suit during the fire. He told me about that suit. He did work at a pizzeria but not that one. Fredbear’s Family Diner was the name. I don’t think I remember that place, but I have been to Freddy’s. My mom took me when I was young. I always liked Bonnie the most, he had a charm to him. I heard a game studio was looking for play testers for there new game. Apparently it was for a Freddy’s themed game. “Let’s get some light in this room.” I smiled at waked over to the window. It was nice and sunny out, it has been raining for the past few days. The patient blinked quickly. “Sorry I didn’t mean to hurt your eyes Mr. Afton.” I apologized. I apologize a lot, that’s what my therapist says anyways. Working in a hospital takes a tool on your mental health and physical health. My feet and heart ache at the end of the day. “Do you have any stories for me today?” I chuckle. He slowly nods. I could tell that hurt a bit. I kept a few note pads in his room so he could communicate with people. I took one out of the bedside table’s drawer and a pen. “Here you go.” I smiled. He began scribbling words quickly. He almost ripped the paper, twice. “This must me a long story.” I laughed. He gave me a look. He was writing for almost an hour, I had to leave a few times to help other patients but when I came back he was still writing. I asked the other doctors and nurses to leave him be. “Lunch is here Mr. Afton, have you finished writing?” I asked bringing in a tray. He nodded. I set down the tray and took the note pad from him. “I can’t wait to read this, thank you Mr. Afton.” I smiled. I’ve always liked stories and my mom would take me to the bookstore. He sort of smiled, I could kind of see it. His face was a bit hard to see. I was badly burnt and scared making it a bit hard to see his expressions, but I could always tell what he was feeling. I read the story out loud to him.

"A Bear and a Rabbit"

Long ago there lived two animals, a bear and a rabbit. Both had a comfortable home, a wonderful family and a dream to make kids and grown ups alike smile and enjoy pizza in a new way. They would work together to make a pizzeria with characters that all ages would love. They made suits that the employees would wear, but something was a bit unsafe with these suits. They had dangerous parts inside, so if anyone was willing to wear them, they had to be careful. One wrong move could kill the animal inside in a matter of seconds. The bear and rabbit smiled at their success, their dreams were fulfilled. However something would happen that would change their life's forever. The rabbit’s sons would be playing near one of the suits, their father was inside of the suit. The metal clasps and locks pierced his skin. It felt as if a bear was ripping his insides out. Blood formed around the rabbit staining his skin and the suit. He cried and screamed for help but it was shortly cut off as the locks teared his vocal cords. His children screamed for help but nothing happened. There was no pizzeria, there was no children, there was no one there to help. The rabbit was left to die a slow and painful death.

-W .Afton

“That was rather dark don’t you think?” I felt bad for the little rabbit. The patient nodded. “Sorry! I didn’t mean it like that.” I chuckled. Again I could tell he was smiling. “A rabbit huh? Do you like rabbits?” I asked. The man nodded. “Thank you by the way. I’ve been felling down the past few days but these stories you’ve written for me have been the boost I needed.” I smiled. “See you tomorrow Mr. Afton.” As I left I swear I heard a broken but sort of clear “your welcome.” before I left. I looked behind me but the patient was just looking out the window and smiling. You confuse me Mr. Afton. The sun was slowly setting, the sky looked so beautiful. The stores are still opened. Some however are closed and pitch black inside. There was a building I once saw with nothing but leftovers inside. An entrance with fading letters. Tables and chairs with party themed cloth on them. A big stage and a little stage. It left me with a strange feeling in my stomach. What once was a place for joy, became something dark and empty. I wanted to thank Mr. Afton for all the stories that he shared with me. I looked around the shelf's of the store for anything that he might like. Then I saw it. A white and fluffy rabbit figure. Almost all his stories had a rabbit. I’m not crafty, but I had a great idea. That little rabbit was missing a few little details. So, I got to work. Painting, cutting, gluing and waiting. Finally it was complete.
