Dunk stares at his phone incredulously. The absolute audacity! What was Joong thinking?! He tagged him in the black photo on accident. He meant to post something else. Leave it to Joong to turn it into something else entirely!
Joong’s edit sat there on Instagram for everyone to see. A black square with the words “And I said ‘YES’” written in the center with the ring and bouquet emojis. Joong had to have known what this would look like from the outside. ‘I’m never gonna live this down!’ Dunk thought forlornly. ‘But would it be so bad?’ His thoughts betrayed him. A hot flush spread over his face at the realization that no, marriage to Joong wouldn’t be bad. It would actually be pretty stellar.
“Sooooooo, when’s the wedding?” Phuwin teases, fully enjoying watching Dunk squirm. The boy smacks him on the hand clearly trying to hide his ever growing blush. “What wedding?” Dunk asks, voice pitching up; betraying his supposed nonchalance. Lookjun snaps her head over to Dunk. “Wedding?! Did I miss something?” She questions, eyes wide.
Phuwin almost dances over to her chair. “Our Dunk here has been proposed to! About time too if you ask me.” Look gasps. “Really? By who?” Phuwin chuckles while Dunk slides down his chair, trying his best to hide. “By our resident Joong, of course! Keep up Look!” He says with a shit eating grin. Dunk buries his head in his hands, heat consuming his face. “Please stoooooooop! If Joong and I really got engaged, trust me Look, you would know.” He groans.
He turns on Phuwin. “And you! You of all people should know better! You would be in on the proposal! You and Pond.” Phuwin puts his hands up in surrender. “Fair. That we would.” He smirks. Dunk sighs. “Can we let this go now?” He asks. Phuwin and Look concede. Everything’s peaceful until AJ walks in. He plops into the seat next to Dunk.
There’s a pause before he turns to the other and says, “So, what’s the dowry?” Phuwin bursts into laughter while Dunk yells out in frustration. Then, as if the world wasn’t done with him, in walked Joong himself. Dunk grabs his hand and storms off to the dressing rooms, Phuwin’s laughter fading into the background.
“Don’t look at me like that. You know what you did.” Dunk pointed a finger right on Joong’s nose. Joong crossed his eyes, smile widening even more. “I don’t know what you’re talking about~” he singsongs. Dunk throws his hands up, smile betraying his earlier frustration. “You’re impossible.”
Joong wraps his arms around Dunk, turning so they were back to chest. He hooked his chin over the other boy’s shoulder, puppy eyes on full blast. “Would you?” He asked. Dunk glances down at Joong, the man blinking up at him. “Would I what?” Dunk asks, side eyeing his friend.
Joong’s gaze remains fixed on him when he asks, “Would you say yes?” A pause. Dunk doesn’t think he’s ever heard Joong sound so…earnest. He stops for a moment, thinking back to what he felt after seeing the post. His stomach drops into his feet, a bright flush warms his face and his breath catches in his throat. Dunk averts his eyes from Joong’s loving gaze. “Maybe…” he murmurs. He feels Joong tighten his grip on him. “Okay…good to know.” Joong whispers.
The two lock eyes. Dunk nods then closes his. Joong looks at him like he hung the stars. He gives the other a small peck or that was the plan until Dunk turns and winds his arms around Joong’s neck, pressing deeper.

Pond sees Phuwin crouched by one of the dressing rooms, ear pressed to the door. He sneaks over coming behind him. “What are you doing?” Pond whispers. Phuwin’s head shoots up to look at Pond. He puts a finger to his lips in a shushing motion. Pond joins Phuwin on the floor confused. “The lovebirds have been in there for 20 minutes!” He whisper shouts.
Pond goes to knock when a bang comes from the other side of the door. He and Phuwin jump back. They look at each other. “We should leave.” Phuwin suggests. Before Pond can reply, they hear Dunk moan out from in the room. “Leaving sounds great!” Pond takes Phuwin’s hand and runs outside. The two stop, catch gazes and start laughing. Phuwin slings an arm over Pond’s shoulder saying, “I think I smell spicy noodles. Shall we?” Pond nods. “It’s a date.”
