Arthur lay in the snow as he thought about how he needed to live, but what were his reasons? As he dragged himself through the snow as he was dying by bleeding out because the of the silt throat he did to himself as he recounted his reasons.
1. He needed to live to honor Faroe because she couldn't be here because of his neglect that was the reason she was dead. He remembered all the memories of the once happy girl he taught to play piano and hummed to during a thunderstorm to get her to fall asleep in his arms. How he missed those days of happiness and no worries about if he was going to survive or not.
After thinking about that over and over again he slowly crawls a step though the snow. Then, to get more motivation, to get out of the snow, to stop bleeding from the wound on his neck of hid own making. Why did he do this to himself, then he remembered his second reason.
2. He wanted to live for John because he sacrificed his freedom for Arthur. Even after everything that's happened he would do this for him and he wanted to see him again even though it probably never going to happen, he held on to that hope to see John again.
He took another step and he as he heard wolfs start to howl, he needed to live needed- then he remembered his third reason.
3. He needed to do this for Lilly, the creature that was so sweet after such a horrible experience, when he had to kill her with the hand that once belonged to Arthur now taken over by John. Arthur having to feel John crying with Arthur's eyes after getting attach to Lilly and having to put her out of misery. He needed to do this to keep her sweetness alive.
He kept dragging thought the snow until he felt a cabin door, hope sparked in stomach he banged and banged on the door seeing if the door was unlocked then he remembered his last two reasons.
4. His partner, Parker Yang the one who saved him from a life of alcohol as a coping skill after his daughter's death. He was my best friend the one who gave him a job as being partners as private investigators. He finally getting better from drinking alcohol and he had his friend to lean on when needed, next thing he knew Parker was dead because of John killing him after Arthur opened John's book. Arthur missed him dearly, he needed to keep his patience alive.
5. Lastly he needed to do this for Bella, the woman that being with her felt wrong. She was mother of his daughter. His guilt about not being there when she was giving birth and not being there for her death. He needed stay life to show his regret for leaving her when she needed him the most.
He opened the door and fumbled into the building to find bandages he puts on his wound, as he does he passes out he dreams about his main reason.
