Chapter 1: So High School

Summary:

Coming into her Junior Year of High School, Lucy has already been confronted by an ex-boyfriend who she was not interested in seeing.

Chapter Text

Lucy had hated her father for the longest time. But she had to admit she was grateful he let her choose where she wanted to go for high school. As she was part of the top 1% in terms of wealth (or more like her father was part of the top 1%), she went to a load of private schools for the majority of her younger life.

But then the two of them, following the death of her mother, moved to a small town named Magnolia. Her father, Jude, had gone on and on about needing to “get some fresh air”, and perhaps she’d have felt something more negative if she didn’t wholeheartedly agree. She needed to get out of her city, and wanted nothing more than to attend the local high school in the small town.

“Lucy, dear, it’s time for your first day of school! Are you sure you want to go here for your junior year? It seems awfully silly to transfer in a couple years before graduation. I’m sure that Jude-sama wouldn’t mind letting you get homeschooled if you’d like.”

”That’s quite alright, thank you,” Lucy smiled, finishing up her morning routine. She forgot to mention that she was entering as a junior. She’d tested out of the different things that she’d have needed to take since she was popping in two years late. She had turned 17 just a couple weeks ago, and she was ready to experience everything that this small town high school had to offer! She was well aware it wouldn’t be what her father had given her entire life, but she was lowkey kind of sick of it. Her father gave a lot of material possessions, but always hesitated in giving any kind of affection, “I’m ready to go whenever you guys are.”

”Alright Lady Lucy, let’s,” one of her maids offered as they headed to the limo. She’d requested just being dropped off a couple blocks away from the school, not wanting to be seen in the limo. Her last name would be a huge bullseye as is… so if she could get away with anything else making her under the spotlight, she’d really appreciate that.

After she is dropped off, she makes her way around the corner and there she sees him. The prettiest boy she’d ever seen in her entire life. He was leaning against the wall, arguing with another tall man with black hair who was in an obnoxious wife-beater tank top- as close to shirtless as a male can be in a public high school. Moving on, the pretty boy she was talking about had the prettiest pink hair, which should have not been as attractive as it was. She felt herself drooling over him already. His eyes were a pretty amber-green that seemed agitated with the argument he was getting into. He also had a white, scale-like scarf around his neck, which definitely had a story behind it, and as a writer, she was dying to know what it was. But, she knew she had probably been staring for far too long already, so she snapped her head away, stalking into the building to find the principal's office, which was thankfully right next to the entrance.

She knocked on the door, and heard a ragged voice call “come in”. She entered the door, where there sat a very old looking man, and he looked up and smiled.

“Lucy Heartfilia, I assume? My name is Makarov, the Assistant Principal here at Fairy Tail High. Principal Vermillion is ready to see you whenever you’re ready,” the old man smiled, and nodded his head towards a door at the end of the hall. There was a name “MAVIS VERMILLION - Principal” on the door. She bowed slightly before scurrying off to the door.

She knocked again. The door was opened by a small, seemingly her age lady, with green eyes and long, flowing hair, and a very pretty engagement ring resting on her finger. She raised an eyebrow, but knew better than to ask invasive questions to adults she’d just met.

“Lucy Heartfilia! Welcome to Fairy Tail High, it’s such an honor to meet you,” the tiny principal smiled, ushering her in and having the teenager sit on a chair across from her desk. She made her way back to her chair behind her desk and smiled again, “Well Lucy. We’re certainly happy you decided to join us for your Junior year! That’s truly wonderful. I’d like to point out that you’re clearly a very intelligent individual, based on your exams we had you take over the summer. Thank you for completing that, especially with all that’s happened. If I can offer any advice or help for you to adjust, please ask. Since you’re a very smart individual, your tour guide will be none-other than the library assistant, Levy McGarden. She’s currently Valedictorian for your group, and is in many clubs. She’ll be entering soon-“

“Apologies for my tardiness, Principal Mavis! Gajeel was being clingy once more, so I apologize!” a small girl cried, entering the room with even shorter blue hair, her eyes wide in anxiousness, but her posture showed she demanded respect. She looked over to Lucy and smiled brightly, “It’s so nice to meet you, Lucy-san! I’m Levy McGarden, your tour guide for the next week and hopefully a friend for the rest of your life!”

Lucy giggled at the enthusiasm, “Pleasure’s all mine. Thank you for volunteering to help me,” she nodded her head, and grabbed her schedule from the principal with a wide grin, “Thank you again, Principal Vermillion.”

Mavis waved her hand, “Mavis is fine. Just throw the Principal in front of it please. Vermillion is a mouthful! Besides, I’m engaged so that’ll be changing soon anyways.”

The two girls nodded, and headed out. Once they were past the secretary, which sat a lady with silver hair that reached her back neck, or so she thought was the secretary. Turns out it was a Student Assistant.

”Oh Mirajane-san! I didn’t know you were on office aid this morning,” Levy smiled, “Makarov really puts you to work!”

Mirajane, the pretty silverette with pretty blue eyes to match smiled at the short girl, “Yup! Seniors can be office aid instead of taking an additional core class. Trust me, with Laxus being an asshole, I needed some space.”

Levy giggled, ”Sounds like Laxus. What did he do this time?”

”Well…” she glanced at Lucy, “Maybe it’s a story for another time. Nothing bad, I promise. Laxus is a good boyfriend, just has a shit dad.”

Levy grimaced, “That checks out. I’m sorry to hear that. Have a good office aid period. I need to show Lucy-san to her first class, so I’ll see you later.”

Mirajae nodded and Lucy waved as the two of them left the office. The two of them walked down the hallways as more people started piling in. Lucy grimaced as she saw a familiar face.

“Oh my fucking Goddess, is that the Lucy Heartfilia?!” Questioned her good-for-nothing ex-boyfriend, Loke, and she felt her cheeks flush with shame, “Still getting excited at the sight of me?”

”More like dreading your presence,” she hummed sweetly, “Fuck off, Loke. If I’d have known this is where your ass went to I’d have avoided it like the plague,” she emphasized with a growl. Levy’s eyes widened, but didn’t say anything more on the subject. It seemed like her ex was not just her ex judging by the horde of women behind him.

”Come on, baby, don’t be like that,” he tried to move in on her, licking his lips, “It’s been so long since we got to… chat.”

Lucy felt her stomach drop and she was about to push him away whenever a flash of pink indicated that Loke had been shoved away. And there was the handsome pinkett from earlier. Her stomach did something that she was not familiar with. Like… fluttering?!

”Yo, Loke, we’ve talked about you harassing girls. It’s fucking creepy, especially new girls,” the pink-haired boy asserted, standing protectively in front of a girl he’d just met and the butterflies were now raging, “Seriously? She just walked through the doors. McGarden, this your touree you’ve been talkin’ about all week?”

”Yes Natsu,” Levy grumbled, “You can just call me Levy, we’ve talked about this.”

”My bad, but Gajeel gets on my ass every time I do, and as fun as beating his ass is, sometimes I’m not in the mood,” he grinned, a canine showing, and Lucy swore something in between her legs throbbed, “Loke. Leave the new girl alone, especailly since she’s expressed her disinterest and is clearly uncomfortable. Don’t be a dog. You’re giving a bad rep to men who aren’t assholes.”

Loke grumbled, rubbing his cheek like a little bitch and wandered off. Natsu, so that was his name, she giggled inwardly, turned to look her up and down and good goddess he was even prettier up close. His cheek bones were gloriously cut, like a greek god, and his eyes were sharp and delicately painted on by the goddess. Like his “friend” with the black hair, he was wearing a tank-top, with the scarf around it, highlighting the distinct muscles that were clearly from working out. Lucy now wondered what kind of sports the school offered and was now committed to attending every single thing this delicious boy (who was also respectful) was a part of.

“Nice to meet you, Lucy Heartfilia. Levy’s been talkin’ about ya all this week. I also saw you sneak in this mornin’. If that asshole bothers you again, find me and I’ll handle him,” and handed her something before winking and walking off, cursing at the black-haired man, as he was clearly teasing Natsu about something. She looked down and oh my goodness gracious it was his NUMBER-

Chapter 2: I feel so High School every time I’m with you

Summary:

Natsu has a crush.

Notes:

Sorry this was late! I moved into college 6 days ago and the classes are hitting hard and fast! Love you all<3

Chapter Text

Following Levy, she finally made it to her first class. AP Physics. Admittedly, she was more of an English person than a science or math person, but her father insisted she at least put forth effort, even threatening to take away paying for her college education should she decline. He had no problem actually with her pursuing a writing career, especially after reading her 11-page essay on why her major should be an English Major with a specification in creative writing. He was more than impressed (it had been her best day ever up until recently)… but he had specifically requested she minor in a science or math. So she agreed, if only to gain a moment of praise. Her dad would be leaving that night anyway, because he had a business meeting in the USA where he was trying to make some “friends” over there. She didn’t mind, but she also missed her dad.

She missed who her dad was before her mom died. She missed who her dad was before he decided that business was more important than her. She misses who her dad was before she discovered he loved his wife more than he could ever love his daughter.

But, she didn’t have time to think about what life would be like if her mother had survived the incurable disease she’d been battling all her life. She didn’t have time. Not when her entire life was ahead of her. Not when-

“Welcome to Fairy Tail High,” the teacher, Precht Gaebolg, who apparently was known by “Hades” around campus. She wondered who started that rumor. His teacher’s assistant sat at a smaller desk beside him, her long dark hair reminded her of someone she’d seen earlier, but she can’t put a finger on it, “Please introduce yourself.”

She stood tall, and then bowed, before confidently stating, “Hello, my name is Lucy Heartfilia. I’m starting my Junior Year here. Thank you for having me.”

Hades-san nodded before pointing to a seat beside a woman with long blue hair, with equally as startling blue eyes, “Go sit by Lockser.”

Lucy made eye contact with the woman, who was frowning, and even if it didn’t particularly seem to be connected to Lucy herself, she felt nervous as she sat beside the blue woman. Lockser didn’t introduce herself, but from a notebook, she could see the name “Juvia” written in pretty, cursive handwriting. After her godawful introduction, Hades-san continued on with his lecture, introducing the course and the expectations. He even assigned the first homework of the year, despite it being the first day. The rest of class went by fine, and soon enough she went through the rest of her classes. She shared a lot of her english classes with Levy, and had art with Erza, who was taking it for her Fine Arts Credit. Erz was the President of the Student Council, and ruled with a firm but fair ruling. She was actually elected as a Freshman, and has remained the President, by election ever since.

But then came her last class of the day, AP BC Calc, which made her cry on the inside, when she ran into the pinkett from the hallway… Natsu Dragneel if she remembered correctly. She hated to assume this, but he didn’t seem like the… smarts type. But, when she walked in, there he was, chatting up the teacher and going over some work he did over the summer. When she made her way in, those auburn eyes turned to greet her own, and seemed to spark with something.

“Alright, thanks teach. I’m gonna go say hi to the new student,” he grinned manically like he was planning something sinister, and then walked over to her. He wasn’t impressively tall like the Grandson of the VP, who stood around 6’6, but he was still significantly taller than her, so when he approached her, she felt herself blushing. She hated that he’d almost “saved” her from Loke, because she didn’t need to be saved. But… she’d be lying to herself if she didn’t think it was hot, “Well look what the cat dragged in.”

“How sweet,” she grumbled, flicking his forehead before going to introduce herself to her math teacher for the next year. She wasn’t a good math person like perhaps other people, so she’d need to take advantage of any hours for tutoring or assistance if it was available. She really, really did not want to ask her dad for a private tutor, “Hello. My name is Lucy Heartfilia and I’m a transfer student starting junior year here at Fairy Tail High,” she smiled, “Thank you for accepting my scores.”

The teacher, Macao Conbolt, who had a freshman son at the school, found out when she asked Levy about her teachers, “Welcome Heartfilia-san, it’s a pleasure to have such a hard—working young lady join us. If your test scores are anything to go by you’re either good at math or good at working hard. If you have any trouble at all, know we have a math group that uses my room to study Wednesdays and Fridays.”

Lucy beamed at the compliment as other students filed in and she was delighted to see the woman she’d seen in the office, Mirajane, who seemed both personable, and smart if she was in this class. Mirajane smiled and waved at the younger before sitting down next to her boyfriend, who’d followed closely behind her, clearly not too keen on speaking to anyone outside of her. Laxus Dreyer was one scary motherfucker, standing around 6’6 and was extremely well built. If Lucy were into blondes, she’d have a real nasty crush on the man, but clearly he was spoken for if the hickey barely showing on his collarbone was to show for anything. Macao pointed to a seat next to Natsu fucking Dragneel before looking back at his computer to send some emails before class.

She walked over to him and sighed, opening up her planner and going over what she’d discussed with her teachers about homework, tutoring times, and different available clubs. Overall, she liked all her teachers, most of her classes, and some of her classmates.

And as cute as this particular classmate of hers was, she could not for the life of her understand his “deal”.

“So, Heartfilia, what caused you to come all the way to little ol’ Magnolia? Not that I blame ya, small towns are so much prettier at night cause we know how to avoid light pollution. But, my brother always says that city girls know-“

“Alright class, thank you to all who showed up on time, much appreciated,” Macao grinned, as the black haired near-stripper sauntered in, with a lipstick stain on his collarbone. She swore she saw Juvia sink into herself, like her whole world collapsed, “Fullbuster, sit next to Lockster and stop being an idiot, thank you.”

Lucy felt her own heart break for the woman who was clearly in love with an idiot.

[ Natsu’s POV ]

-

When Natsu first saw her, he was in the middle of arguing with Gray. They had been arguing about something, he thinks he’d been defending someone and Gray was all like “pussy” and Natsu was not one to stand for that.

Moving on, when she walked around the corner to the high school, her blonde hair was half up half down and it was the most gorgeous shade of yellow he’d ever seen. Her eyes were a pretty shade of brown, that seemed to glow in the sun. He felt her own eyes look back at him whenever he went back to arguing with Gray.

It made him happy.

But whenever he went into the building, he was disgusted to see Loke of all people already creeping on her. It made him feel protective for some reason, so he threw the punch before he could even really think about it. He said something cool before turning back to the blondie.

And that’s where he knew her.

This was Levy McGarden’s touree. Lucy Heartfilia. A city girl who moved to Magnolia for her junior and senior years of high school.

How intriguing, he grinned as he winked at her before walking off with Gray, insulting the icy bastard and going to find the rest of the friend group.

-

When he saw her walk into his math class, he was elated. Mostly because this meant he got a chance to get to know the beautiful transfer student… but also because Natsu was unreasonably good at math. Something that shocked people to the core to this day. It was quite entertaining actually.

Especially when Natsu could outdo Gray in any math problem ever.

But Gray was smarter than Natsu in some ways, and Natsu was better than Gray in most ways. It's what made them honest to Goddess rivals.

He went up to her, flirting with her a little, and felt bad whenever her cheeks were flushed bright red. He simply winked at her and went back to his seat. He listened to Macao talk about all the different things they were going to do that year before starting the first lesson. Lucy looked very lost.

Natsu smirked, a perfect opportunity to get to know her more… but I don’t wanna overwhelm her…

“Dragneel, come up to the board and solve this problem, please,” Macao deadpanned, knowing he had zoned out and turned to look at the teacher. Natsu stood, took one look at the problem before solving it without so much of a thought. Most other subjects weren’t easy for Natsu, so it was nice coming to Math and succeeding like this.

The rest of the day went by fine, and he eventually went home without getting the blonde’s number. But that’s what Social Media was for- stalking!

When he walked through the door, he was immediately met with the scalding temperature his father and brother’s liked to keep the house at. Ignia, Natsu’s eldest brother, was sitting at the kitchen table, chatting with their father, Igneel.

”Oh, hey kid. How was the first day back?” Ignia grinned, standing up to ruffle the hair of his youngest brother. When Natsu and Zeref were first adopted, Ignia did not like them. It had just been the two of them since Ignia’s mother had gone on the run, and he hated the fact that Igneel adopted not one little brat, but a little brat and an absolutely obnoxiously smart twerp. It’s safe to say Ignia prefered Natsu to Zeref for a million different reasons.

Especially since Zeref was engaged to be married and moved out a couple months ago, after he finished his undergrad, moving onto his master’s degree.

Ignia had begun working with Igneel in the family business, and spent quite a bit of time at home, if only to piss Natsu off.

“Hi Ignia-nii-san,” Natsu rolled his eyes, “What are you doing back here already?”

“Wow,” Ignia grimaced, “How mean! I’m here to visit dear ol’ dad!”

“Ignia, stop harassing Natsu. Let the kid live his life,” he glared, “Now then. Natsu, Zeref and Mavis should be here for dinner soon. Go get cleaned up and then we can chat more about it.”

Ignia rolled his eyes, but went over to help clean the area. Ignia didn’t feel much for the black haired kid, but knew he made Natsu happy, who Ignia was very fond of.

“Natsu-nii-chan!” Zeref called as he entered the door, tackling his baby brother with all the love in the world, “How are you? I heard there’s a new kid at Mavis’ school… are you being nice to her? Is she being nice to you? Do I need to kill her-“

”No, no, calm down,” he laughed, hugging Zeref and waving to Mavis, who was walking in behind him with August standing next behind her with a smile, and Larcade was looking up at Natsu like he was the entire world, “Hey nephews! Goddess August, you just keep getting older everytime I see you.”

”I am older than you, Natsu-san,” he grumbled, kicking some dirt before the Dragneel’s sauntered in, “We’re home Igneel.”

“All my boys in one place, what a blessing,” he kissed Zeref’s cheek, “Hey, where did Ignia go?”

Natsu deadpanned, “You sent him away?”

“Oh yes, he’s coming here,” Igneel smiled softly at his family that had already grown, “IGNIA.”

“Damn you just told me to fuck off,” he grumbled, coming bck in to looking at his father with raised eyebrows, “Hey kids. FYI, I told Dogramag he could come over.”

Igneel rolled his eyes, “Fine then.”

Ignia’s eyes lightened if only a moment and Natsu smiled.

Chapter Text

Lucy yawned, sitting in the back of the classroom, when her phone went off, but it was okay because the teacher was taking his sweet time getting into class.

Levy-chan

Hey Lu-chan! There’s a

party tonight… Erza

invited me and said

I could invite you :)

Lu-Chan

Oh yes! Are you sure?

Levy-chan

Uh duh! I was nervous

the first time I went too.

So don’t worry about it!

Plus, I heard there’s

someone who might be excited

to see you hehe

Lu-Chan

I don’t think I need

to hear more about that…

but ok! Send me the details.

the teacher is coming in, so

I'll text ya later!

The teacher did walk in, his eyes tired as he looked over them. This was the AP Macro/Government class, but he did look eerily familiar. He looked to be in his early 30s, but there was a particular shape of his face that made her curious.

”Hello everyone, my name is August Dragneel. Yes, Natsu Dragneel is my uncle, it’s weird,” he sighed, “So please just call me Mr. August or just August. Except when my mother comes in, then keeps it with Mr. Dragneel. Thank you. In this class, we’ll spend the first semester studying AP Macroeconomics, and the second semester will be AP Government.”

Lucy deadpanned, of course it's a relative of his, but there was nothing more to be done. She continued to listen to his speech about whatever they were going to be doing. Because her father was so rich, he made her study the economics of the country. So, she wouldn't completely be lost over the fact that she was probably going to take over the company some day. Especially since her mother’s dying wish was for Lucy to be able to marry whoever she loved.

It was the greatest gift her mother had ever given her.

Mr. August continued to talk about what the course would look like and what they wanted to do for the best course of how to handle all of their courses. But then again, what did this old person know? Which… How was he Natsu’s nephew? And… who the hell was his parents? Natsu had a brother…? This is a lot to digest.

Lucy sighed softly, looking to the side and saw Juvia, again. Her eyes widened and saw her doodling, drawing hearts in blue, a frown on her lips as she tried to sketch something- a face?

”Alright, that’s it for the day,” Mr. August sighed, “Thanks for showing up.”

His Student Aid stayed behind, talking to him about something, and Lucy hurried out of the room, checking her phone and then jumped a little when Levy appeared in front of her.

”Hey girl!” Levy smiled, “How was your first day?”

”It was good,” Lucy smiled, tilting her head, rubbing her fingers over the paper with the pinkett's phone number on it in her pocket, “How was yours, girl? Are you excited for the party?”

”For sure! Do you wanna get ready together and then Gajeel can drive us?”

”Uh… who’s that?”

Levy grinned, “My boyfriend! He looks a little intense, but he’s a sweet guy deep down.”

“Telling lies about me, shrimp?” A deep voice, menacing and all, came from behind them, and Lucy snapped her head around. Behind her, stood the most metal looking guy she had ever seen. There were piercings down his nose, and doubled up on his ears, and she was pretty sure there was plenty more where that came from. His hair, black, was long and probably stopped down his back. His eyes, red, which was such a creepy color, and his smile was malicious. She’d think he would be a delinquent if he didn’t look at Levy like she hung the stars from her fingers, and held her with the love of all the world.

She turned to him and grinned, “Gajeel! Come on now,” she pouted, looking at her boyfriend. And Lucy really wanted to know how that happened.

“Anyway,” Levy grinned, turning to Lcuy, “Do you wanna get ready at my place or?”

“We can get ready at my place,” she laughed, rolling her eyes, “But, let’s see what happens. Will Gajeel be joining you?”

”Gajeel is usually my,” she brings her voice down to a whisper, “designated driver. He doesn’t drink.”

Lucy raised an eyebrow, that doesn’t fit the idea of Gajeel she had in her head. She snorted at herself, “Cool. Well, my ride is almost here. I’ll see you guys later tonight?”

”Yep,” Gajeel nodded, keeping his face blank, until looking at Levy, who grinned and nodded.

“Bye, Levy. Thank you for hanging out with me all day, I’ll see you later,” Lucy grinned, turning and walking out the door and heading around the corner, and ran into a chest. She gasped, and looked up and realized this was going to be a problem.

Black hair, and black eyes, and raised an eyebrow. She recognized the white tank top, wife-beater and she rolled her eyes inwardly.

“Woah, in a rush, princess?” The guy snorted, “No worries, I’m sure Natsu will come to save you again.”

Natsu? Pinky? Was this the guy who was arguing with him this morning? “Haha, you’re so funny,” Lucy awkwardly backed-up, and was looking around, because she hadn’t thought this would be an issue, “uh… what’s your name?”

”Gray Fullbuster,” he grinned, and he wasn’t exactly ugly. But, given what she knew about her classmate Juvia, she didn’t want to be another reason that girl was struggling. Also, as she had recently learned, her type was definitely not dark haired idiots who were basically half naked.

“Well, given I have plans tonight, I think I need to be going,” she awkwardly backed up, hoping Virgo would sense where she was, as she was a good friend of her mother’s who was left behind to take care of her, along with Aquarius. Lucy had always wanted to unpack why her mother was friends with people who had the names similar to the zodiac signs, which her father had always hated, because she was weird as hell when it came to the zodiacs.

“Oh? Plans?” he grinned, leaning on the brick wall next to them, but not encroaching even more on her space, which she could respect, “I wonder what Levy has gotten you into. I know Mira-san talks high about Levy and her valedictorian status, but she can be a real party animal when she gets around her team.”

“Team?”

“Ah, it’s a weird Fairy Tail High thing,” he grinned, “Sometimes, if people get along real well, they make “teams”, like Levy and her friend, and then her boyfriend tagged along, and tends to protect the three of them. Jet and Troy are pretty sad compared to the other two,” he hummed, looking behind her with a raised eyebrow, “And here comes your new boy toy.”

Lucy raised an eyebrow, looking over her shoulder and her heart fluttered and she turned to face him, but the man brushed past her, careful to not hurt her, she noticed, and slammed Gray into the wall behind her. Natsu continued yelling at Gray about something that was so clearly not her, and she took this opportunity to scurry away.

Virgo was waiting.

-

Levy

Here!

Lucy ran down to the first floor, opened the door and was met with Levy and her super-metal boyfriend, leaning over her and looking around the first floor. She let them in, and asked them to take off their shoes, and smiled at them.

“Follow me,” she smiled, “We can use the room next to my bedroom, we’re still moving in, so we’re sorry if there is anything around that doesn’t seem in place.”

Levy looked shocked, her eyes were wide as they followed her up to the second floor, the maids smiling and bowing to Lucy, greeting the newcomers.

“Hi, thank you,” Lucy smiled, “This is a new friend, Levy McGarden, and her boyfriend, Gajeel Redfox. Gajell will be our driver to and from a party I was invited to tonight. I will inform father upon my return, so feel free to turn in early, I don’t know when I’ll be returning.”

Spetto smiled kindly, bowing lowly, “Redfox-sama, would you like me to bring you to the waiting room while the ladies get ready? Or would you prefer to stay with McGarden-sama?”

The two of them blushed brightly, and Lucy giggled.

“Er- uh. Gajeel is fine,” he grumbled, and Levy seemed more amused than embarrassed, “Er, whatever Levy wants.”

Levy smiled, grabbing his arm and kissing his cheek, “If Lucy doesn’t mind, I don’t mind you hanging around.”

Lucy smiled, “I think it’s important to get to know who will be driving me home tonight,” she laughed, “Thank you, Spetto-san. Can you get us some tea?”

“Of course, Lucy-sama. Tea for you McGarden-sama and Gajeel-sama?”

“Levy is fine,” Levy blushed, “But yes, tea sounds lovely. Thank you for your kindness.”

Spetto bowed, and left the three of them alone. Lucy opened the door, walking in and sitting down, allowing them to follow her.

“Wow, Lucy, when I heard that the Heartfilia heir was coming to our school, I didn’t think you were a literal princess!” Levy giggled, and Gajeel looked like he agreed, but valued his life.

Lucy waved off her friend (and her friend’s boyfriend), “It’s my father. He’s just… he likes things controlled. He’s off on a business trip, so it’ll be nice to get out of the house.”

Levy raised an eyebrow, and Gajeel had already pulled out his phone. Lucy tried not to giggle.

She got up, opened up one of her many… many wardrobes, and looked over at Levy, “What is the theme tonight? Do you wanna borrow anything?”

She tried not to look at the difference in chest size, which of course there was nothing wrong with, but she wasn’t sure if they would fit…

Levy laughed, like she could read her expression, “Nah, I have my outfit in my bag. The theme is sports. So, I’m wearing Gajeel’s wrestling jersey number… but, you could totally wear like a cheer uniform or like a basketball uniform.”

Lucy laughed, her head falling back, “Lucky for you, I have an old cheer uniform from my private school. My father bought it so I can fuck it up. Should I ‘edit’ it?”

Levy giggled, “You should.”
