October 10th, that’s the day Emil was prepared to celebrate Ada’s birthday and to make her the happiest woman ever. Ada noticed the day before of his skeptical behavior, Emil was a pretty bad liar especially to his lover. She walked to Emil, glancing at what he was making until Emil covered her eyes with his hands.
“You can’t see this yet!” He insisted.
“I’m just curious, love.” Ada said, trying to soothe Emil.
Emil hid what he made for her behind a pillow on the couch really quickly with one hand and removed the other from Ada’s eyes. She was extremely curious of what he made her but didn’t want to bother Emil.
“You can see it tomorrow morning…” Emil said with a tone of nervousness.
“Show it to me when you’re comfortable.” Ada said while caressing Emil’s face.
Ada walked away quickly but for Emil it looked like forever, watching her hips move side to side was quite entertaining to him. He took out the real ring that he made personally for his lover, Emil admired the ring for a while. After a few minutes of admiration, he put the ring into its box and hid it once again before walking to his and his lover’s bedroom.
Emil walked into the bedroom and laid down on the bed, Ada was getting ready to go to sleep and saw the tiredness on Emil’s face. She got up from her chair and hopped onto the bed, Emil didn’t pay much attention to her because he couldn’t lie well with her. Ada laid down next to Emil and wrapped her arms around him, proceeding to give him a few kisses all over his face. Emil felt bad that he was the only one getting kissed and stopped Ada, she was confused about him not liking her kisses at the moment. Emil looked at Ada and pulled her in for a kiss, they kept going for a while.
The morning after, Emil was so exhausted from last night and realized Ada got up earlier than him. He was severely embarrassed and got up to see Ada in the kitchen cooking breakfast.
“You don’t have to cook today, I can do it!” Emil said eagerly.
“I love you but I don’t trust you in the kitchen.” Ada said sternly.
She moved her focus back to the food she was making, Emil took that moment to look for the ring that he hid. He found it and went up to Ada, she looked at him but was confused of why he was so joyful. Emil noticed he had Ada’s attention and went down on one knee.
“Ada Mesmer, you’ve helped me so much in my life and especially helped me know what love is. Although this isn’t the nicest ring ever, I hope your love for me is strong enough to accept it. We’re getting older and I want it to be firm that we will be together even when we’re old. Will you marry me?” Emil spoke in a trembling voice, fearing rejection.
“Of course.” Ada hugged Emil tightly and refused to let go of him.
Emil soon then put the ring on Ada’s finger, it was one of the first times he’s seen Ada so happy. She stared at the ring for a few seconds and looked at Emil again, whenever she’d look at Emil she would let out a small smile. They then realized that the breakfast burnt, Emil expected Ada to be a bit upset but she laughed it off. Seems like the changes of getting married were already happening.
