Chapter 1: Punctual

Chapter Text

Chloe Charming was confused.

After changing the past, saving her mom and Auradon, changing Bridget to be nicer, and starting at Auradon Prep, she didn’t think she could be as confused as she is now. Her and Red had started dating shortly after the school year started and it had been the most wonderful three months of Chloe’s life.

She loved how sweet and caring Red was and it didn’t hurt that it seemed like the red head was only like that for her. Throughout those three months though, Chloe has begun to notice some of Red’s quirks. They weren’t anything major so to say. Like sometimes when she was thinking really hard, Red would make ticking noises with her tongue, or like how Red was attracted to gold trinkets.

One thing Chloe noticed as well, was that Red was always on time. Never early, never late, but exactly on time. Once, Chloe had planned a date and had told Red to meet her at 6:30. At 6:29, Red was nowhere to be seen but right when Chloe’s phone said 6:30, there she was. At first the bluenette had brushed it off as a coincidence, but then it started happening more and more.

If class started at 7, Red would walk through the door at 7 exactly. Never 6:59 or 7:01, always at 7. If Chloe had Swords and Shields practice and it started at 4, Red would be sitting down in her usual seat in the bleachers at 4. It had started to genuinely freak Chloe out. How could no one ever see Red until it was the exact time. The youngest Charming had to get to the bottom of it.

She was currently in history, her and Red’s shared last class of the day. Chloe wouldn’t let her eyes leave the clock and her girlfriend looks over at her in confusion. Chloe was never this distracted in class, especially not her favorite class of the day. “You alright, Clover?”, Red questions. Chloe’s eyes snap over to Red and they soften at the little concerned smile on her girlfriend’s face.

The bluenette picks up their intertwined hands and presses a kiss to the back of Red’s. “Yeah, I’m just excited for the weekend.”, Chloe says. Red could easily tell she was lying but she couldn’t really think right after that kiss to the hand. She loved that she was left handed, this meant that her and Chloe could always hold hands no matter what. “If you say so.”, Red shrugs. The final bell rings and Chloe hops up from her seat. “Gotta get to practice. See you there, boo.”, she says, leaving a quick kiss on Red’s cheek.

Red watches her walk off, half confused from the abrupt departure of her girlfriend, half smitten from the unexpected kiss on her cheek.

Chloe was determined to see Red get there. She was the first one in the gym and instead of setting up like usual, she sat down on the floor and kept her eyes trained on the door. Soon, her teammates began to fill up the gym as timed ticked closer and closer to the start of practice. “Hey, Captain.”, Kristian, Kristoff and Anna’s son says. “Hey, Kris.”, Chloe says. Her eyes stay trained on the door, not wanting to miss anything.

It was now 3:58 and Chloe still hadn’t seen any sign of Red. Maybe today was the day she finally had bested Red. “Hey, Chloe? You think you can help me with something?”, Tion, Tiana and Naveen’s say questions. Two minutes. Chloe’s eyes dart to the door before quickly looking to her teammate. “My sword is a little dirty, do you know how to clean it?”, he questions. “Alcohol, microfiber cloth, polishing cloth. In that order.”, Chloe says quickly.

Her eyes dart up to the bleachers and she still sees no sign of her girlfriend. It was only one more minute until practice officially started and Chloe’s eyes weren’t leaving their spot. The clock strikes four and Chloe startles at the sound of the bell ringing. Her eyes close for a spilt second and there Red is, sitting in her usual spot with her sketchbook in hand.

The red head gives a wave to her girlfriend before beginning to draw. Chloe scowls and begins practice.

By the end of it, her anger is gone leaving behind confusion. As usual, Red meets her at the door and takes her hand. “Are you sure you’re ok? You were out of it at practice.”, she questions. “Can we talk when we get back to the dorm?”, Chloe asks. “Sure?”, Red says confused.

They make it back to their dorm and as usual, Red takes both their bags and drop them in their usual spots. “What’d you wanna talk about?”, she questions. Chloe takes a minute to figure out an approach. “How do you do it?”, is all she can come up with. “Be this hot? I dunno, I was just born like this.”, Red jokes. Chloe laughs and hits her shoulder before focusing.

“How are you always on time? Do you get there early and just wait or something? And how does no one ever see you?”, she rambles. Red looks taken aback for a second, a little overwhelmed from all the questions, before she lets out a laugh. Chloe pouts and pushes Red’s shoulder. “I’m serious, stop laughing!”, Chloe says exasperatedly.

“I-I’m sorry, Princess. It’s just-you had me so worried and that’s all you wanted to ask?”, Red says between laughs. “Y’know what? I don’t care anymore.”, Chloe says as she folds her arms. Red unfolds her arms and sits her down on the bed. “No, no. It’s a Wonderland thing, Clover.”, she says. Chloe perks up a little and looks at her girlfriend.

Red never talked about Wonderland much so her attention was immediately focused. “In Wonderland, time is a big thing. Being early to stuff is very very rude. It’s like saying, ‘I don’t wanna be here so I’m coming early to show I’m leaving early.’” Red says. “What about being late?”, Chloe questions. “Pretty much the same thing but being late shows that you don’t respect the person enough to be on time.”, Red answers.

“So by showing up to everything on time, you’re being as respectful as possible?”, Chloe says slowly, trying to make sense of it all. “Pretty much. I know stuff is different here so I’m trying my best to fit in.”, Red says. She was still a little embarrassed about her Wonderlandian background so she did her best to keep herself normal.

“You never have to be ashamed of that, darling. Your quirks are what make you, you.”, Chloe says. Her hands come up to cup Red’s face and her thumbs stroke her cheeks. Red’s face turns her namesake and she smiles softly. “One more thing though.”, Chloe says. “Hm?”, Red hums. “How come no one ever sees you?”, Chloe questions. “Oh that? That’s card magic.”, Red answers. She pulls away from her girlfriend and goes into her bag for her deck of cards.

They were a gift from her new, nicer mother. She shuffles through them for a second before holding out half of the deck to the bluenette. “Pick a card, Princess.”, she says. Chloe’s eyes light up and she quickly grabs a card from the deck. Red takes it back and begins to shake it. She tosses it up in the air and Chloe watches in awe as the card grows and lands back down in front of them.

“Doorway. It’s one of the first things my mom taught me.”, Red says. “Where does this one go?”, Chloe questions. “This goes to the dining hall. It’s time for dinner.”, Red answers. As if she spoke it up, the dinner bell rings and Chloe looks up. “Another Wonderlandian thing, we have internal clocks. In Wonderland, mine are a bit wonky, but they work just fine in Auradon.”, Red says.

“Well, let’s get to dinner.”, Chloe smiles. Red takes a step back and bows. “After you, Princess.”, she grins. “Gods, you’re such a dork.”, Chloe snorts. “But I’m your dork, aren’t I?”, Red teases. “Always and forever.”, Chloe nods as she pulls the redhead through.

Chapter 2: Ticking

Summary:

Chloe keeps hearing a ticking and feels like she’s going insane.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Chloe felt like she was going crazy.

The first time she heard it, she was in her and Red’s shared dorm, her head resting on her girlfriend’s chest as the two of them watched a movie. “And so none of this stuff is real?”, Red questions. She was still having a hard time processing the difference between film and real life. “Nope. It’s a story that someone comes up with.”, Chloe says. The two quiet down again and that’s when Chloe first hears it.

Ticking. Not loud enough to distract but loud enough to be heard. At first she thought it was Red since her girlfriend often made the ticking sound in different situations. “Babe, you’re ticking again.”, she softly says. “No I’m not? I don’t think I am at least.”, Red says confused. The red head could typically tell when she was ticking because her tongue would end up sticking to the roof of her mouth.

Chloe picks her head up to look at her and that’s when she notices that the ticking had stopped. “Hm, I must’ve been hearing things.”, she says still not fully convinced.

The second time, was when they were out with their friends. More so Chloe’s friends that Red tolerated because her girlfriend liked them. It was Tion, Kristian, and Melody, Ariel and Eric’s daughter. The five of them were in the campus hangout spot and they had it to themselves. “How’d we get this place to ourselves?”, Tion questions. Red grins smugly and Chloe sighs out in frustration.

“Red threatened to feed everyone to the jobberwocky if they didn’t leave.”, the bluenette sighs. “Jokes on them, Mr. Hearts doesn’t eat people meat anymore. Mom weened him off a long time ago.”, Red says. Melody laughs as the two boys look on in fear. “Your girlfriend is scary, Captain.”, Tion shudders. “We could use her on the team.”, Kris nods. “Swords aren’t my thing.”, Red declines.

During their conversation, Red had moved her arm to the back of the couch to let Chloe lean on her. Noticing the gesture, Chloe is quick to tuck herself against the taller girl and rest her head on her chest. “You two make me feel so single.”, Kristian sighs. “Good.”, the two say together. That’s when Chloe hears it again. Just barely there, ticking.

“Do you guys hear that?”, she questions. “Tion’s mouth breathing? I thought it was only me.”, Melody says. Red laughs and Chloe nearly falls over from the sound. Gods, she loved her girlfriend so much. Tuning out Tion and Melody’s playful argument, Chloe focuses on the ticking. Her eyes survey the room, looking for anything that could be making the sound.

“Clover?”, Red questions. Chloe smiles and looks up. “I felt like I was losing you. What’s up?”, she questions. Not being able to resist, Chloe pulls her into a quick kiss. Red gets a goofy smile on her face and clears her throat. “I still wanna know what’s up.”, she says. “I keep hearing this ticking. I feel like I’m going crazy.”, Chloe sighs.

“I hear ticking all the time.”, Red says absentmindedly. It was true. There was always a ticking in her mind, keeping her grounded. Her internal clock no doubt. “So does that mean you’re hearing the one I’m hearing?”, Chloe questions hopefully. “Afraid not, Princess. We’ll get to the bottom of it.”, Red assures. She rubs Chloe’s shoulder and focuses back on their friends.

The third time, Chloe was ready to turn the room upside down. She was lying on Red’s chest as the two just hung on when she begins to hear the ticking. She growls in frustration and sits up causing Red to look away from her phone. “I’m sorry but the ticking is back.”, Chloe says to the red head. Red’s arms come up to circle Chloe’s waist, and she grins.

“Never apologize for giving me the view of you from this angle. I will never be upset about my hot girlfriend being on top of me.”, she says. Chloe’s face flushes and Red’s grin turns into a smile. “I love how you look with my color on you.”, she says softly. Chloe leans down and presses a kiss to her lips and rests her head on the red head’s chest.

The ticking makes itself present again and Chloe all but jumps off her girlfriend. “What is that?!”, she shouts. She walks over to her side of the room and begins to toss things around. She was basically a blur of blue as she tore apart her side of the room. “Chloe?”, Red questions as she sits up. “Gotta find it. Gotta shut it up.”, Chloe mutters as she continues opening and emptying drawers.

“Princess blue?”, Red tries again. Chloe beings muttering to herself in a different language as she all but crawls under her bed. “As hot as you sound right now, I have no clue what you’re saying.”, the red head says standing up. Chloe was now trying to make a hole in the wall to see if the ticking was in there. “Ok, Clover. That’s enough of that.”, the red head says.

Seeing that her words weren’t working, Red grabs Chloe by the waist and lifts her off the bed. “Put me down, Red! I have to figure this out.”, the bluenette says. “Calm down first. You’re trying to put a hole in our wall, Bunny Blue.”, Red says. Chloe giggles at the name before hearing the ticking come back. Her hands clench into fists and she lets at a frustrated yell.

Red stands her in front of her and grabs her shoulders. “We’ll figure it out.”, she says. Chloe notices that the ticking had stopped and sighs out with a nod of her head. Red pulls her into a hug and the ticking comes back. “The heck?”, Chloe questions pulling back. “Clocks, Princes. Just swear, you’re a big girl.”, Red says in pretend exasperation. “Shut up. Hug me again.”, Chloe says.

“Don’t have to tell me twice.”, Red mumbles. She pulls her girlfriend close again and the ticking comes back. Chloe pushes her away with wide eyes and the red head falls down onto her bed with a startled yelp. “Rabbits, maybe you are going a bit mad.”, she says. “It’s you! You’re the ticking!”, Chloe exclaims. She climbs on top of her girlfriend and Red’s face flushes. She opens her mouth to speak and Chloe shushes her.

She lowers her head down to the Wonderlandian’s chest and her eyes go wide at the ticking. “You’re the ticking. That’s why I only ever heard it around you.”, she says quietly. “Oh, yeah. It’s another Wonderland thing.”, Red shrugs. “Explain. Now.”, Chloe says as her eyes narrow. Red, feeling the heat of the look, gulps and does her best to explain. “Uh, well, that’s Wonderland’s equivalent of a heartbeat.”, she says.

“What?”, Chloe questions. “Well, me and my mom, our heartbeats sound like ticking clocks. It’s a royal thing I guess.”, Red shrugs. “So, I thought I was going crazy and the whole time, it was you?”, Chloe questions. “I guess so.”, Red nods. “You’re cleaning up the room.”, Chloe says with no room for argument. She gets up off of Red and the red head releases the breath she was holding. “Yes, ma’am.”, she says quickly.

Notes:

This one was just a personal headcannon of mine I guess. Just seems appropriate for royal Wonderlandians to have ticking heartbeats.

Chapter 3: Table Etiquette

Summary:

In Wonderland table etiquette is very different from Auradon table etiquette.

Notes:

This one is an idea from a supporter. @Lucasss you commented on chapter 1 so I hope you see this friend and I hope I did justice to your idea. :)

Chapter Text

Chloe loved her girlfriend, yes, but sometimes, her girlfriend lacked certain..etiquettes.

The two students were on a break from school so the Charmings thought to invite Red over for dinner to get to know her better. When Chloe heard the news, she was ecstatic. She had given the kitchen staff a list of things Red could and couldn’t eat because of the different diet in Wonderland. She spent the day tidying things and picking out her best clothes.

“It’s getting awfully close to dinner time. Are you sure she’s coming?”, King Charming questions his daughter. “Red is always on time. Never early, never late.”, Chloe says as she does her eyeliner. “Getting here early shows commitment.”, Chad says. “In Auradon, yes. In Wonderland, being early is rude. She’s being respectful by being exactly on time.”, Chloe explains.

“Oh, Bridget was the same way. She showed up to every class exactly on time.”, Ella says with small smile from the memory. Chloe checks the clock and grins as she heads towards the gates. As she greets the guards, she sees Red getting out of a car. “You scratch her and it’s off with your head.”, the red head says to the guard taking her keys. The man nods in fear and carefully pulls off.

Chloe runs up and wraps her arms around the taller girl’s neck. “Hi, boo.”, she smiles. “Hi, Clover.”, Red says returning the smile. They share a quick kiss before Chloe pulls away and takes her hand and leads her to the castle. “Holy hex, Princess. This place is huge.”, Red says. “You should see our vacation castle.”, Chloe subtly brags. They make it to the main room and the Charmings greet Red.

“Hi, your majesties.”, Red says with a small bow. “Red, dear, you’re part of the family now. Chloe hasn’t stopped talking about you.”, Ella says. “Mom!”, Chloe whines. Her face flushes red and her girlfriend laughs. “Oh yeah it’s always ‘Red this’ and ‘Red would love that’. You’re always on her mind.”, Charming chimes. “Dad!”, Chloe says. She covers her face and bows her head. “She’s so grossly obsessed with you.”, Chad scoffs.

Chloe punches her brother in the stomach and he folds in on himself. “Chloe Grace Charming! We do not use violence on our family.”, Ella scolds. “Your middle name is Grace?”, Red questions. “Everyone stop talking!”, Chloe commands. “It’s cute, Princess. And if it helps, I’m obsessed with you too. I’ve started a new garden just for blue and yellow roses in Wonderland.”, Red says presses a kiss to her girlfriend’s hand.

Chloe gasps and smiles. “Really? Can I see it?”, she questions. “Of course. As soon as they bloom, I’ll bring you to Wonderland.”, Red says. Chloe pulls the red head into a searing kiss and when they pull back, Red is a little dazed as her eyes seen to spin. “ Blorp me like that snozzle and you can flibber whatever you glorp .”, Red murmurs.

“Huh?”, Chloe questions. “Sorry, sorry. Sometimes when I’m startled or excited I start speaking in my first language.”, Red says as she shakes her head. “You’ll have to teach me.”, Chloe smiles. “Come on girls, let’s sit. Dinner is almost served.”, King Charming says. “Our seats are over there. I made sure we could sit together.”, Chloe says quietly.

“Awesome.”, Red nods. She walks up to the table and sizes it up. “What are you doing?”, Chloe questions. “Making sure your table is sturdy.”, Red answers as if it’s normal. Her boot covered foot meets the table and Chloe is quick to gasp in shock. Not noticing, Red ends up making it to her seat and drops down off the table. “Red, why on Earth would you do that?”, Chloe questions. She walks around the table and grabs her girlfriend’s wrist. “Why on Earth would you do that? Have you no respect for your parents?”, Red questions just as shocked.

“You just walked on a table!”, Chloe says putting emphasis on words to drive her point across. “And you just walked around a table!”, Red says. “If I may, girls. Red, I assume walking on tables, it’s a Wonderland thing, right?”, Ella questions. Red breaks away from her girlfriend and nods. “In Wonderland, walking around a table is improper etiquette. It’s like saying you don’t respect a place or you don’t trust it.”, Red explains.

“I remember. Bridget had a big problem with walking on tables.”, Ella chuckles. Chloe sighs out and Red turns back to her. “I’m sorry, Boo. I forgot things are different for you.”, the bluenette says. “Wait, did I do something wrong?”, Red questions, looking around. “We don’t walk on tables here, honey. It’s considered rude because your shoes are dirty.”, Chloe explains.

Red looks around and sees the sympathetic look from Ella which causes her face to go well, red. The Wonderlandian covers her face with her hands and bows her head. “Clocks, I’m so sorry. I thought I was being respectful.”, she muffles into her hands. “It’s ok, sweetie. You didn’t know.”, Ella consoles. “You guys probably think I’m so gallymoggers.”, Red groans.

“Considering the fact that I don’t think any of us knows what that means, no we don’t.”, Chloe says. Red lets out a quiet snort and smiles a little. “It’s another way of saying crazy or weird.”, she says. “Well then no we don’t. Different cultures are what makes the world so interesting.”, King Charming grins. “How about we call someone out here to clean up the table and then get started on dinner?”, he suggests. “That sounds wonderful, dear.”, Ella says with a smile. “Ugh. All these happy couples make me sick.”, Chad gags.

Chapter 4: Gravity

Summary:

Gravity basically doesn’t exist in Wonderland so in Auradon, Red has a very odd center of gravity.

Notes:

Do you guys want more than 5 of these? I have a lot of ideas and scenarios.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

At first, Chloe thought she was just hysterical.

Sometimes Red seemed almost..floaty. The red head was incredibly light-footed. Nobody ever heard her walking around them. Chloe didn’t either but she could always sense her girlfriend. Anyways, back on topic. Red was light, not weight wise, she actually was quite lean and muscular, but light in the sense that she sometimes seemed to defy gravity.

The first time Chloe saw it, Red was doing something she definitely wasn’t supposed to be. Chloe had stayed late after chemistry class for some extra tutoring since it was her weakest subject. Chloe usually supervised her girlfriend and kept her from making decisions that would negatively impact her but with her being distracted, Red fell victim to her own impulsive actions.

She had climbed to the roof of the school and began to draw the landscape. In the courtyard below her, students begin to spot her and whisper and murmur amongst themselves. “What’s she doing up there?”, Tion questions. Melody shakes her head to signify she doesn’t know and hits Kristian on the shoulder. “Go get Chloe. There could be something wrong.”, she says.

Kristian runs off and the other two continue watching Red. “Yo, Hearts! Whatcha doin?”, Melody questions. Red looks down and then back to her sketchbook. “Chillin’! How ‘bout you!”, Red responds. Kristian makes his way back with Chloe and the blue haired princess puts a hand to her chest in shock. “Red, what the hell are you doing?!”, she shouts.

Red startles from not only the cursing, but the anger in her girlfriend’s voice. Chloe on the other hand, could physically feel years of her life fading away. Of course she would get the weird girlfriend who liked to climb tall stuff and give her heart palpitations at the age of 17. “Get down here! Now, Red!”, she shouts again. “Ok, ok. Geez.”, Red says. She tucks her sketchbook safely in her waistband before backing up out of sight.

Chloe sighs and runs a hand over her face before she hears students start to panic. Her eyes snap up and go wide at the sight of her girlfriend jumping down off the building. “Baby!”, she cries out. She runs forward in attempts to catch her when she notices how slowly the red head is falling. She’s still coming down pretty fast but nowhere near as fast as some who just jumped off of a build should be coming down.

Red lands in the grass a little further away and Chloe tackles her to the ground in a hug. Red laughs until she feels wetness hitting her neck. “Please, never do that to me again. You scared me so bad.”, Chloe says. Red tilts her head up and gently wipes at the tears. “I’m sorry for worrying you, Clover. Calm down, okay? I’m here and I’m alright.”, Red assures.

She notices the other students crowding them and stands up with her girlfriend still latched on. Chloe yelps when she feels herself rise up and grips onto the back of Red’s jacket. “C’mon, Princess. Bring your legs up and I’ll get us back to the dorm.”, Red says patting the girl’s thigh. Chloe brings her legs up and Red begins walking them back to their dorm. Once they’re a little further away from the crowd, Red shuffles through her cards with one hand before tossing one in front of them and opening a doorway portal.

The second time is a little more subtle.

Red was at the tryouts for a Taekwondo club that the school offered. Chloe had offered to come with her since Red didn’t like strangers. The bluenette was sitting on the bleachers holding both their backpacks and watching her girlfriend. “Alright, welcome to tryouts everyone, I am Grandmaster Li Shang. I see a lot of promising candidates here today so with that being said, each one of you will compete against a member of the team and if you manage to beat them, you make the team.”, the man says.

Red gets paired up with a fourth year fighter, Tara, Jane and Tarzan’s daughter. Red was tall but her opponent was taller than her and looked to be stronger. Chloe quietly wondered if this is how Red felt watching her sword fights as her heart began to race. “You use any weapons?”, Tara questions as she grabs her own pair of eskrima sticks. “I’m partial to a bō staff.”, Red shrugs, grabbing one of the training staffs offered.

She twirls it in her hand and Chloe’s eyes go wide at her level of skill. Has her girlfriend been hiding this talent from her this whole time? Red goes through her warm up stretches and prepares herself for a fight. She twirls the staff over her head and lowers herself into a fighting stance.

The fight begins and Chloe watches with rapt attention as her girlfriend evades and doges the other girl. Red seems to float around the matt, leaping through the air with agility never seen before. Even Tara seemed in awe of how nimble her opponent was. Red flips over the girl’s head and jabs the staff into her back, sending her to the ground. Remembering Chloe’s talk about good sportsmanship, the red head offers a hand to her downed opponent.

“Good job, fire top. It’ll be good to have you as a teammate.”, the girl says.

The third time, Chloe knows what she saw. She was with Red for a little hang out. The red head was taking them to a little village at the edge of town for a little shopping trip. After the last bell, the two went and changed into some more casual clothes before leaving campus. As they walk Chloe eagerly talks about how excited she is to see such a new place. “How’d you find out about this place?”, she questions. “I have my ways. I really wanted to show it to you.”, Red answers.

They make it into the town and Chloe looks around in wonder. “There are so many shops. Where do we start?”, she questions eagerly. “Let’s just start here and see how far we get before curfew.”, Red says. The two set off on their journey and it seems like time flies. As Chloe drags Red out of the 12th store, she suddenly gasps and turns towards her girlfriend.

The red head was holding onto all of her girlfriend’s bags contently which makes Chloe smile for a second before she remembers why she gasped in the first place. “What time is it, Red?”, she questions. Red stares off into space for a second before blinking. “7:25, why?”, she questions. “Curfew is in 5 minutes!”, Chloe says in a panic.

She grabs Red’s wrist and pulls her through the town quickly. “Can’t you make us a doorway? Where are your cards?”, Chloe questions. “I left them in the dorm. Magic’s not allowed here.”, Red answers. “The one time you decide to follow rules!”, Chloe groans as she runs faster. “What’s the problem? So we miss curfew, what’ll they do, kick us out?”, Red scoffs.

“You listen to me Red Avani D’Amore Hearts. I have never had a detention and I never will have one so you better whip up some type of Wonderland magic that will get us to our dorm in the next three minutes.”, the bluenette says. Red looks at her girlfriend and gives a jerky nod. “I can hop up to our balcony but I need you to trust me.”, she says.

“Oh so now you’re not taking me seriously. How in the hell are you going to jump me and you up to the balcony?”, Chloe says. “Do you know how hot you are when you swear?”, Red questions. Chloe flushes before looking at the clock. “Fine! Whatever your plan is, do it.”, she says. “Get on my back and hold on tight.”, Red instructs. “Are you sure this’ll work?”, Chloe questions. “Just trust me, Clover.”, Red says.

Chloe sighs and hops on her girlfriend’s back. Red mumbles to herself as she backs up and looks to their balcony. The pair had a dorm on the fourth floor so she had to do some quick mental calculations. “A-one, and a-two, and a-here we go!”, Red says as she launches them into the air. Chloe yelps in fear and clings onto her girlfriend tighter as she buries her face in her neck.

Red lands on their balcony easily and carries Chloe, and all her bags, into their dorm. “We’re here, Princess.”, she says softly. Chloe lifts her head up and all but falls to the ground. Her hands tremble as she steadies herself on the floor. Her hair was tussled and her face had a red flush to it. “Are you okay, Chlo?”, Red questions in concern. “What in the fuck was that?”, the blue princess questions.

“Clocks, if you keep swearing at me I won’t be able to control myself.”, Red groans. Chloe flushes a deeper red and she takes a breath to calm herself. “What just happened? It happened when you jumped off the roof too.”, she questions. “It’s a Wonderland thing.”, Red shrugs. “Elaborate.”, Chloe says through clenched teeth. “In Wonderland, gravity is..less than necessary.”, Red begins.

She gathers her thoughts more clearly and nods to herself. “Yeah, it doesn’t really exist there. Here in Auradon, Wonderlandians are held down by you guys’ gravity, yeah, but we can defy it if we want to. Our center of gravity is different.”, she explains. “So you can float?”, Chloe questions. “No, just jump a lot higher and fall a lot slower.”, Red corrects.

Chloe stares blankly for a second before falling into a fit of laughter. Red blinks and tilts her head. “So, I spend all this time thinking you’re going to one day fall and break your neck and the whole time, you couldn’t hurt yourself if you tried.”, Chloe says. She continues her hysterical laughter before pushing her girlfriend. Due to her lightness, Red all but flies back into her bed.

“That’s why you always fall when I push you! I thought you were being dramatic.”, Chloe says. “Stop abusing me.”, Red says dramatically. “You’re lucky that’s the only thing I do to you.”, Chloe mutters. “Now go get changed. I want to cuddle and watch a movie.”, she says. “I feel like a henchman.”, Red says as she walks into their shared closet.

Notes:

Another personal hc i guess. But a lot of the time Wonderland doesn’t know what gravity is so i feel like the people wouldn’t be held down by it in other places very well. Let me know if anyone else had done this.

Chapter 5: Madness

Summary:

Wonderlandian anger is so much more than Auradonian anger. Red hardly ever gets angry, but when she does? It’s scary.

Notes:

Ik Jasmine and Aladdin have a canon son, Aziz, but I gave him a brother so deal with it.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

For the first time ever, Chloe Charming was afraid of her own girlfriend.

That day had started out like any other. The two went to their classes and went about their days. They had a hang out planned with their friends so they were in their dorm getting ready. Well Chloe was getting ready, Red had finished twenty minutes ago. The red head was lying on her back, texting her mom about the upcoming parent’s day.

She had decided to go casual with a pair of baggy jeans with red heart patches, a black muscle shirt and her usual red leather jacket. “Princess, are you almost ready? We’re gonna be late.”, she questions. “Don’t rush me.”, Chloe says from the bathroom. “This is what I get for dating a princess.”, Red mumbles to herself.

She stands up and makes her way into the bathroom where she finds her girlfriend meticulously braiding her hair. Chloe barely spares her a glance in the mirror before going back to her own hair. Red chuckles and walks up behind her blue counterpart and wraps her arms around her waist.

“How much longer? We have ten minutes.”, she says softly. Chloe finishes with her hair and secures it with a baby blue ribbon to match the crop top she’s wearing and leans back into her girlfriend. Familiar ticking fills her ears and she sighs out. She brings her phone out to take a quick picture before pressing a kiss to the red head’s cheek and walking off.

“You act like you’re not just gonna make a doorway for us anyway.”, Chloe scoffs as she slides her phone into her purse. “I don’t know why you chose to wear a skirt for going out into town. What if you get cold?”, Red questions as she pulls on her usual black boots. “I have a sexy, leather jacket wearing girlfriend that loves me and will give me her jacket.”, Chloe answers.

She finishes lacing up her converse and Red looks away with a flushed face. She tucks her usual dagger into the hidden holster on her hip and begins to shuffle her cards. They gain a red shimmer and she throws one in front of them. Red takes Chloe’s hand and bows. “After you, my lady.”, she says. As usual, Chloe laughs and does the adorable little nose scrunch that Red loves so much.

“Oh my gods, let’s go you dork.”, the bluenette says as she pulls her girlfriend through. She takes a second to look at her girlfriend’s outfit once they make it to the other side. Red was absentmindedly doing card tricks as she waited for their friends when she feels arms circle her neck from behind. “You look really good, boo.”, Chloe says in her ear.

“Get a room!”, someone shouts at them. Red’s fist clenches and she looks for whoever said it. “It’s not worth it.”, Chloe says turning her around. Her eyes wonder around her girlfriend’s face and her hand comes up to play with the girl’s nose ring. “That tickles, Clover.”, Red chuckles. “When did you get it?”, Chloe questions. “Clocks, I don’t even remember. I was like, 12 or 13.”, Red answers.

“Ugh, of course I get here first.”, Tion says walking up. Red scowls at him and bares her teeth making the boy cower back. “Red!”, Chloe scolds. “I’m joking, Princess. Not my fault he’s scared of me.”, Red shrugs. Chloe hits her chest and steps up to give Tion a hug. “The others should be here soon.”, he says.

Red gives a half hearted thumbs up as Chloe smiles and claps her hands quietly. “I’m so excited. Red took me to a town a little while ago and it was so beautiful.”, she says. “This town is known for its beautiful views and amazing food so we definitely have lots to do.”, Tion says. Melody and Kristian walk up panting causing the two to look at them in confusion. Red was less than indifferent as she scrolled through her phone.

“Sorry..we’re late.”, Melody wheezes out. “Not even gonna ask.”, Tion says. The five begin walking and eagerly talking about what they couldn’t wait to do. Not Red though, she was just quietly letting herself be pulled along by her girlfriend and chiming in every now and then. “Alright, welcome to Varensburg.”, Melody says. She’s the one who planned the hang out so she was acting as the unofficial tour guide.

As they walk through the town, Red couldn’t hate it more. It was loud, really loud. Unlike the town she took Chloe to, it was bustling with people and children and animals. The different smells overwhelmed her sensitive senses and gave her a splitting headache. Everything was beginning to irritate her. A burning hot sensation was building in her chest and just about anything would send her off the deep end.

Even in her silent crisis though, she was obediently following behind her girlfriend as she looked around stores. A familiar squeal breaks her out of her mind and she looks over to see her girlfriend looking at an outfit in the mirror. “This is the one. What do you think, Bunny?”, she questions. “If you like it, I love it.”, Red answers. “You go and get changed, I’ll pay for it.”, she says.

Chloe smiles at her and presses a loving kiss to her lips before disappearing inside the dressing room. Red gets a dopey little smile on her face as she leans against the wall. She hears a scoff from a little bit over and looks over to see a group of boys looking at her. “Yo, can I help you?”, she questions rudely. “That girl your girlfriend or something?”, one questions.

“What about it?”, Red responds. “She would look way better with me.”, another says stepping forward. The burning sensation spreads across Red’s chest and a noise similar to a growl sounds in her throat. “Watch your next words carefully.”, she warns. Her vision had begun to tint red and her hand was itching to grab her dagger. “What’s going on out here?”, Chloe questions as she walks out of the dressing room.

“Nothing, babe. Right boys?”, Red questions. “Nah, not nothing. I was saying you’d look much better with me. Prince Jospeh, son of Jasmine and Aladdin.”, the boy says. He bows and picks up Chloe’s hand to press a kiss to it. Something inside of Red snaps and she punches him in the face. “I want your blood. I need to paint the roses, the roses need to be painted, your blood, the blood of yours.”, she says, her Wonderlandian riddle tongue slipping out.

She follows him down to the floor and continues to punch him as he tries to cover his face. “Watching your blood spill is beautiful. The beautiful spilling of your blood. I’ll paint a garden of roses red.”, she says with a maniacal laugh.

Chloe was watching on, frozen in fear as her girlfriend beat up the poor prince. She watches as Red throws her head back in laughter and gasps at the sight of red eyes. “What beats and gets broken and is about to be carved out of your chest?”, Red questions. Her hand wraps around her dagger and that’s when Chloe springs into action. She tackles her girlfriend from behind and pins her hands by her head.

Red snarls underneath her and easily flips them over as she pins Chloe’s hands above her head. “It’s you, as true as you are blue, who are you?”, Red says. Chloe forces herself to stay focused on the task of calming down her girlfriend and not on the surprisingly attractive, insane other half of her. She manages to free one of her wrists and wraps her hand around the back of Red’s neck.

“Let’s hope this works.”, she mutters to herself. She pulls Red down in attempts to kiss her, but yelps when suddenly sharp teeth snap at her. “Oh this better work.”, she says in frustration. She smashes their lips together and holds back a squeal as sharp teeth dig into her lower lip. Red’s grip on her other wrist loosens and Chloe quickly snatches it back. She flips them over again and pins Red’s arms by her head.

“Blue? What’s going on?”, the red head questions. The red tint had faded from her eyes, only leaving behind red specks that glowed in the light. The sharp teeth were still there though and they gave her a little lisp. “As much as I love this position, I didn’t think you’d be into exhibitionism.”, she tries again. That’s when Chloe realizes their.. less than innocent position.

She hurriedly stands up and offers her girlfriend a hand. “We are so talking about this when we get back to the dorm.”, she scowls. “Ok? I-is your lip bleeding?”, Red questions. “Who is that on the floor?”, she asks. “Your unfortunate victim.”, Chloe answers. “My what?”, Red questions. “Just-make the doorway.”, Chloe says exasperatedly. She sadly looks at the outfit she was leaving behind and sighs as she steps through the portal.

She paces their dorm as she waits for Red to come through and stills when the red head steps out. “Let me guess, a Wonderland thing?”, she sighs. “I’m not sure.”, Red shrugs. She could still see the tension on Chloe’s face and that just wouldn’t do. She pulls the blue haired girl into her arms and presses a kiss to her hairline.

“That was really scary, Red. You were gonna carve his heart out.”, Chloe says. “I think I might know what happened. We should call my mom to make sure.”, Red says. She shuffles through her deck of cards and mumbles to herself before a card turns face up on its own. The Queen of Hearts. “Nailed it!”, Red cheers quietly. She shakes it before throwing it in front of them.

The card shows a kitchen before Bridget walks into frame. “Oh! Hello, darlings.”, she says as she startles. “Hi, mom.”, Red says. “Hi, Ms. Hearts.”, Chloe waves. “Oh, I’ve told you to call me Bridget, Chloe. What’s going on, girls?”, Bridget questions as she pulls a pan of cupcakes out of the oven. “Today Red had an..episode if you wanna call it that.”, Chloe says.

“Red, we’ve talked about this. We don’t bite people when we don’t get our way.”, Bridget says in exhaustion. “I didn’t bite anyone!”, Red whines. “You bit me. That’s why my lip was bleeding.”, Chloe says. “I don’t remember biting you.”, Red says. “We’ll talk about it later. Anyway, Ms-I mean Bridget. Red got really angry and her eyes turned red, and her teeth got really sharp, and she started speaking in riddles. Oh and she growled at me!”, Chloe says.

“I did no such thing!”, Red says, offended. “Oh I hoped this wouldn’t have happened without me there to help you. Congratulations dear, you’ve had your first madness.”, Bridget says. “My what?”, Red questions. “Your first madness. It’s something that runs in our blood. It seems that your madness has manifested in a more..primal way. With the growling and the fangs and whatnot.”, Bridget explains.

Chloe stays silent in thought before perking up. “Quick question.”, she says. Bridget nods and looks up from what she was doing. “Are the fangs permanent? Just as a-research question.”, Chloe asks. “Yes dear, they’re permanent. I hope your research comes out good.”, Bridget answers with a knowing smirk as she sends the blue haired girl a wink.

“I must be going. I love you, my little wild flower.”, she says. “Love you too, mom”, Red says. “Tell your mother I say hello, Chloe.”, Bridget says. “Will do.”, the bluenette says. Bridget waves to them and the card shrinks back down and returns to the deck. Red was in the mirror looking at her new teeth. “You think these’ll get in the way when I sleep?”, she questions as she touches them with her thumbs.

She gets turned around and pulled into a kiss. “You won’t be going to sleep for a while so don’t worry about out that. Let’s see what those fangs can really do.”, Chloe says suggestively. The red specks in Red’s eyes flash and she smiles. “I think I might like this test.”, she says. She suddenly remembers something and pulls away. “I got you this.”, she says as she pulls a bag out of her jacket. Chloe takes it and peeks inside before letting out a gasp. “You got me my outfit!”, she squeals. She all by flies into her girlfriend’s arms and presses kisses all over her face. “Now, how about we get back to that research?”, Red suggets.

Notes:

Id like to say it’s a fandom agreed hc that Red has that good ole Wonderland madness in her. I love seeing everyone’s interpretations of it so, here’s mine ig.
Also, if you all noticed, I changed the summary so that it’s not just 5 times. Feel free to give me some suggestions but be patient with me please and thanks.

Chapter Text

Chloe Charming was confused.

Dating Red wasn’t like anything she’d ever done. It was a roller coaster for sure. The cultural differences definitely played a big part in that but that’s what Chloe had grown to love. One main thing that still puzzled her though, was Red’s hatred of tea.

From the start, she knew Red hated tea. However, whenever the talked to Bridget, the queen would always mention tea time and their tea parties. So, Chloe decided to ask.

“Hey, boo?”, she begins. The two were in their dorm, having their separate activity time. Red was shuffling through cards and had looked up at the call. “Why don’t you like tea? Isn’t it a big thing in Wonderland?”, Chloe continues. “What are you talking about, Princess? I love tea.”, Red answers in confusion. “I’ve never seen you drink tea.”, Chloe says, unconvinced.

“That’s ‘cause Auradon tea doesn’t compare to Wonderland tea.”, Red scoffs. “How so?”, Chloe questions. Her homework was long forgotten on her desk as she moves to sit with her girlfriend. “Wonderland tea parties are an event. Not just some little one and done thing.”, Red says.

“Is that why your mom is always busy whenever she has one?”, Chloe asks. “That and then some. I’ll show you a proper Wonderland tea party.”, Red declares. She jumps up and marches out of the door, leaving behind her confused girlfriend. “..alright then.”, Chloe says to herself.

When Red returns to the dorm three and a half hours later, she smiles triumphantly at her girlfriend. “Get up, get dressed, and get ready to have your mind blown.”, she says. Chloe looks at her in confusion causing the red head to sigh. “You wanted to see a Wonderland tea party. Now, I’m going to show you the most romantic one ever.”, she says.

Chloe perks up and jumps into her girlfriend’s arms. “You set it up, just for me?”, she questions. “A traditional tea party isn’t anything compared to what I’d do for you.”, Red dismisses. “Oh really? And what is it that you’d do for me?”, Chloe questions as her arms circle Red’s neck. Red looks into her eyes and grins. “I’d burn the world for you.”, she answers. She checks the clock on the wall and makes a ‘tsk’ sound.

“As lovely as this little situation is, it’s almost tea time.”, she sighs. Chloe perks up and skips off into their closet. Red quickly swaps out her shirt for a burgundy button down. Her black jeans and black and red boots stay in place as she reapplies her eyeliner. “This good?”, Chloe questions. She was in a blue sundress with a gold bandanna holding her hair back.

“You’re perfect. I-I mean it’s perfect! Not saying you’re not perfect, ‘cause you’re so perfect.”, Red says quickly. She mentally curses herself for sounding so stupid and winces. Chloe laughs as she slips on a pair of sandals. She presses a kiss to a reddened cheek and links their arms together. “Thank you, boo. You look really good too.”, she says.

“Y-yeah. Uh, anyway.”, Red stammers before clearing her throat. She takes a pre-shuffled card out of her pocket and tosses it in front of them. “After you.”, she bows. “Are you gonna do that every time?”, Chloe giggles as they step through. “Of course. I have to bow to my queen.”, Red answers with a cheeky grin. “I’m only a princess. And here I thought you knew that.”, Chloe teases.

“You’re the queen of my heart.”, Red says. “That’s so corny.”, Chloe says. “But you’re smiling.”, Red points out. “It can be corny and sweet.”, Chloe shrugs. “Welcome, to a traditional Wonderlandian tea party.”, Red says as they make it to the little set up. Chloe looks around in awe at the setup and Red leads them closer.

It was a beautiful little meadow with a nice view of the pond a little further away from it. “The first part of a traditional tea party, are the flowers. The flowers should represent the two parties individually and together.”, she explains. She leads Chloe over to the flowers surrounded the area and gently picks one. “This is your side. The different shades of blue and yellow and the different types of flowers represent you.”, she says.

A yellow flower gets tucked into blue hair and they walk to the other side. “All these red and black flowers represent me.”, she continues as she repeats the same process of picking one of the black flowers and tucking it in the chest pocket of her shirt. “This is beautiful, Red.”, Chloe says softly. Red smiles at her and leads her over to the middle section of flowers.

“All these purples, they represent us. As partners, companions, and lovers.”, she says. She grabs one and offers it to her girlfriend. Chloe takes it and holds it close to her chest. “Let’s sit.”, Red says. She pulls out Chloe’s chair and motions for her to sit. “The next part, is the decor. I know right now it looks pretty plain, but the decor comes from within with our intentions.”, she says.

Noticing her girlfriend’s confused look, Red sits down across from her and offers Chloe her hands. “Take my hands, and just feel me. Don’t worry about anything, just focus on me and my touch and your heart.”, she instructs. Chloe nods and takes her girlfriend’s hands with a smile. Below them, the plain table cloth transforms.

One half a beautiful baby blue, the other a deep red. In the middle where the two sides met, a beautiful wine purple color completed the gradient. Chloe watches in awe as the plates and cups float above the table and form all types of shapes and designs. “Third, the cutlery. Your cup and plate will choose you. Let them find your heart and they’ll do the rest.”, Red says.

The cups and plates finish their little dance and begin to swirl around the two of them. Red holds her hands out and a plate and cup land in them. The plate turns a dark red and gets a little checkered pattern. Meanwhile, the cup also turns red, but instead of checkered like the plate, it gets a black heart pattern. She sets them on the table and looks to her girlfriend.

A plate had landed in her hands but the cup was being tricky and was bouncing around. Chloe laughs as the cup hops from the plate to her head and back again. “Hey, behave.”, Red scolds. To Chloe’s surprise, the cup listens and settles onto the plate. “Oh come on, Bunny. She was having fun.”, she pouts. “She was being naughty.”, Red says.

The plate takes on a blue and gold checkered pattern while the cup gets a blue color with little silver swords on it. “This is so cute!”, Chloe squeals. “Can we keep these?”, she questions. “I have a feeling she’ll want to stay with you.”, Red nods. She checks her watch and claps her hands. “Now, the food.”, she says. The basket on the table opens and two dishes float out.

“Where’s the tea?”, Chloe questions. “Right! Silly me.”, Red gasps. She picks up her cup and motions for Chloe to do the same. “Why don’t you two surprise us?”, the red head says to the cups. Chloe gasps as her cup begins to fill itself up. “No way!”, she says. “Yes way.”, Red nods. She takes a sip of her tea and hums. “Raspberry. One of my favorites.”, she smiles.

Chloe takes a sip of her tea and smiles as her eyes go big. “Chocolate? I love chocolate. I didn’t know chocolate tea existed.”, she says quickly. “It doesn’t, not in Auradon at least. Damn near every tea exists in Wonderland.”, Red says. Chloe looks around and Red gasps. “I almost forgot, the ambiance.”, she says.

She takes another card out of her pocket and shakes it before throwing it up in the sky. Chloe watches it until she can see it anymore and looks to her girlfriend. Red holds up a finger and snaps with her other hand. Purple lights fall down around them causing Chloe to look around in awe. “You did all this, for me?”, she questions with tears in her eyes. “Of course. You’re the queen of my heart after all.”, Red answers.

Tears begin to leave Chloe’s eyes and the red head springs into action. “I take it you like your tea party?”, she jokes. Chloe gives a watery chuckle and pushes her shoulder lightly. “I love it. This is so romantic and you’re so you.”, she says. “Hey! I’m plenty romantic.”, Red says. “You know what I meant.”, Chloe says. She rests her head on Red’s shoulder and begins to hum.

“I don’t know that song. What’s it called?”, the red head questions. “It..it’s my parents’ song.”, Chloe answers. “They used to sing it to me all the time.”, she says. “It sounds beautiful.”, Red says honestly. “Thank you for this. This was amazing.”, Chloe says.

“Of course, Clover. Let’s head back to the dorm, curfew is in ten minutes.”, Red says. “What about all this stuff?”, Chloe questions. “The best part is the clean up.”, Red grins. She claps her hands and the table begins to march away. Chloe laughs then squeals as her plate and cup come flying to her. “I told you they’d wanna stay.”, Red says.

Chapter Text

Chloe Charming was scaroused? arouscared? Either way, her girlfriend was kind of scaring her and she was kinda into it.

Like every good significant other, Red was protective of Chloe. The blue haired princess loved when the red head would step in front of her in serious situations, or when she would threaten people on her behalf. As cute as it was, Red could be a little..possessive.

The two were holding hands as they walked through campus. “Can we pretty please stop at the library? I need to do some research for my project.”, Chloe questions. “You know I hate the library.”, Red sighs. “I’ll take you to the new art exhibit in the museum tomorrow.”, Chloe bargains. Red looks into hopeful eyes and groans.

“I’ll buy you the new spray paints you want.”, Chloe throws in desperately. “Fine!”, Red says. Chloe squeals and pulls the red head into a hug. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”, she cheers. She leaves a kiss on an anger flushed cheek and drags her redder half to the library.

Once they make it, Red finds a couch and glares at the other people inhabiting it, making them flee. She chuckles to herself and sits down, stretching across the entire thing. “Take your time, Princess. I’m good here.”, she says as she closes her eyes. Chloe shakes her head and ventures off into the library. She begins to gather the books she needs and spots the last one she needs.

She reaches up for it and grunts as she falls short. Red would’ve been able to get it down, but the Wonderlandian was probably asleep by now. Who cared about that? Chloe needed her girlfriend’s help and was gonna get it. All of a sudden, she feels a presence behind her that almost forces her against the bookshelf before it’s gone.

“I noticed you reaching for this earlier.”, a deep voice says. When he backs up and Chloe gets a look at him she grimaces. “Thanks..Henry.”, she says hesitantly. Henry, son of Hans, was just like his father. A womanizer and a user. “You know, I’ve seen you around and I think the two of us would be good together.”, he says.

“No thanks.”, Chloe says. In her mind, she was screaming for her girlfriend. Back on the couch, Red jerks up as Chloe’s phone begins buzzing. “She has got to stop leaving her phone places.”, she groans. After checking who was calling, she quickly picks up at the sight of Chloe’s mom. “Hi, Mrs. Charming.”, she says groggily. “Oh, hello, Red. Is there a reason you have Chloe’s phone?”, Ella questions.

“She left it with me while she was browsing the library. I’ll take you to her.”, Red answers. The two make small talk as Red walks and the red head rubs at her eyes. Back with Chloe, she was trying to side step Henry but the boy was persistent. “Just one date?”, he says. Getting fed up with it, Chloe snaps. “My girlfriend is crazy. She bites people, and beheads them.”, she says quickly.

As if speaking her up, Red finally stumbles upon them and her alarm bells immediately start ringing. “Yeah, I’ll tell her to call you back.”, she says before hanging up the phone. Completely ignoring the prince, she turns to her girlfriend. “Who is he and why is he speaking to you?”, she questions. “Boo, this is prince Henry.”, Chloe says in a strained voice.

“Hans’ kid?”, Red questions. “You know it’s rude to ignore someone?”, Henry comments. “Speak when spoken to.”, Red growls. “He helped me get the book down then he asked me on a date. I declined and told him about my crazy girlfriend that bites and beheads people.”, Chloe says. “Did he make you uncomfortable, Blue?”, Red questions. Chloe thinks it over in her head.

If she says no, Henry can keep doing what he did and making other girls uncomfortable. If she says yes, she might have to bail Red out of prison. Well, she had plenty of money. “Yes, he did.”, she answers. Red grabs the boy by the collar of his shirt and pulls him in. “Listen to me and listen to me good, prince jackass. You’re not going to touch, look, speak to, or even think about, Chloe Charming ever again. If I find out from anyone, that you’ve bothered her again, I will rip your throat out and use your blood to paint Wonderland’s roses red. Am I clear?”, she says to him.

He stays silent, shaking in fear, before Red yanks him closer. “I asked you a question. Speak!”, she commands. “Y-yes! I understand, just leave me alone!”, the boy cries. “Tears are for the weak.”, Red scowls pushing him to the floor. “Get out of here before I change my mind.”, she says. Henry scrambles up and stumbles away as the red head stares at his retreating figure.

“Pathetic thing.”, she mutters. She’s snapped out of her thoughts when a pair of arms circle her waist. “Thanks for that.”, Chloe says. “Of course. You have to call your mom back, by the way.”, Red says.

The second time, Red may have been in the wrong. The two were in their dorm unwinding after class. Chloe was sitting on her bed on her phone while Red took a nap with her head rested on her girlfriend’s stomach. Chloe’s free hand was gently scratching Red scalps making little contented sighs leave Red’s parted lips. They liked to call this their time, no interruptions, just Red and Blue time.

Then, a poor unfortunate soul made the biggest mistake they could make, they knocked at the door. Chloe looks over and back down to her girlfriend. Another knock sounds a d Red grumbles in her sleep before settling down. A third knock bounces around the room and Chloe glares at the door, hoping the idiot on the other side of it could feel it. “I’m sorry, Bunny.”, she says quietly.

She slips from under the red head and moves towards the door. Red clutches on to the blankets under her and huffs. Chloe cracks the door open and sees her own step-cousin, Dizzy, on the other side. “Oh thank goodness you answered!”, she squeals. Chloe winces at the volume and glances back to her girlfriend.

“Uh, hi, Dizzy. How can I help you?”, Chloe questions. “Auntie Ella called and asked me to take your measurements and make you a dress for the upcoming ball.”, Dizzy says. “C-could we maybe do it later? Nows not really a good time.”, Chloe asks. Red had woken up and was looking around as she rubbed her eyes. “Auntie Ella said it was urgent.”, Dizzy says.

Chloe goes to respond when she feels familiar body heat behind her. “Oh, hi Red.”, Dizzy smiles. A small growl leaves Red and Chloe coughs to cover it up. “Later, I promise.”, she says to Dizzy. Dizzy sighs and pulls out her phone. She shows the screen to Chloe and the bluenette winces.

If she says later, show her this and tell her that she’ll be in big trouble.”, the message from her mom reads. Chloe sighs out and goes to open the door before getting placed behind her girlfriend. “She said no. I still have two more hours of Chloe time and so help me hearts, if you or anyone else interrupts us again, I will watch everyone’s head roll. Now get lost.”, the red head snarls.

The red specks in her eyes had began to glow and that majorly freaks Dizzy out, so the other red head nods with a squeak and scurries away. Red slams the door and turns to her girlfriend. Chloe opens her mouth to scold her girlfriend’s behavior but her words are cut off by a squeal as she’s picked up and slung over her girlfriend’s shoulder. “Red? What are you doing?”, she questions as she stares at the floor.

Red just grumbles and lays her down on the bed before crawling on top of her and resting her head on a blue tank top covered chest. She grabs Chloe’s wrist and uses it to place the bluenette’s hand back in her hair. “Scratch.”, she demands. Chloe sighs but does as told. “You know, you were really mean to Dizzy. She was doing what my mom told her to.”, she says.

“Don’t care. My Princess, no one else’s.”, Red murmurs. “Possessive much?”, Chloe comments. “Shh, pillows don’t talk.”, Red grumbles.

The third time, Red was definitely out of line. As usual, Chloe got to class first. She was looking over her homework when someone taps her shoulder. “Hi, I’m Ronnie. Can I sit here?”, the boy questions. “Oh, sorry. This seat’s taken.”, Chloe says. “Oh darn, I would’ve loved to have the great Chloe Charming as a seat mate.”, he jokes. “You know my name?”, Chloe questions.

The two continue to make small talk and before they know it, the bell rings and Red walks through the door. “Nice meeting you. Maybe we could talk more after class.”, Ronnie waves. Red sits down next to her girlfriend and glares at the boy as he leaves. “Who was that?”, she questions. “New kid, I think. He asked if he could sit here.”, Chloe answers.

“I don’t like him.”, Red comments. “Let it go, boo.”, Chloe sighs. Class finishes and as usual, the two lock hands and begin to walk to their next class. “Hey, Chloe. And you are?”, Ronnie says as he catches up to them. “Her girlfriend.”, Red deadpans. Chloe elbows her in the side and sends her a quick look.

“This is my girlfriend, Red. Red, this is Ronnie.”, she says. “Nice to meet you.”, Ronnie says as he extends his hand. Red looks him up and down before looking at his outstretched hand. She lets out a huff and folds her arms. “She’s not big on touching people.”, Chloe says hoping her girlfriend can tell she’s getting fed up with the rudeness.

“We’re gonna be late.”, Red comments. “See you around, Ronnie.”, Chloe waves. “Hopefully not.”, Red mutters. As they walk away Chloe looks at her girlfriend angrily. “Staring is rude, Princess.”, the red head smirks. “Don’t you princess me! Why are you so rude to Ronnie?”, Chloe snaps. “I have no clue what you’re talking about.”, Red says. Chloe huffs and looks at the clock. “You’re lucky we have class.”, she says.

Lunch finally comes around and Chloe has calmed down. Since Red had a different diet than the Auradonians, her mom sent her different premade meals from Wonderland. “What’s your lunch today?”, Chloe questions as they sit down. “Oh she made me this grilled jub jub bird salad. Pretty sure it’s the same thing as your salad just a different meat.”, Red explains.

Their friends start to fill in at the table and Chloe gets lost in conversation with Tion. All the peace, in Red’s opinion at least, is shattered as Ronnie walks up. “Hey Chloe! Could I sit with you guys?”, the glasses wearing boy questions. “If it’s ok with everyone else.”, Chloe smiles. “Sure man.”, Tion smiles. “Alright with me.”, Kristian nods. “All good here.”, Melody adds.

Red grumbles as the boy sits down next to her. She scoots closer to her girlfriend and nuzzles her nose into her neck. Chloe giggles from the tickling feeling and brings a hand up to rub her girlfriend’s head. “So Chloe, I was thinking you and me could hang out sometime.”, Ronnie says. That’s when all madness breaks loose.

Chloe goes to respond when she feels her girlfriend start to growl. “That’s it!”, Red snaps. She doesn’t give anyone time to react as she takes the boy to the floor and grabs her dagger. “She’s mine!”, the red head growls. She holds her dagger up to his neck and bares her teeth. “I don’t know who you are and I don’t care, Chloe Charming is mine.”, she says through clenched teeth.

Ronnie nods wordlessly and Red slams him into the ground again. “Those morons and Melody? They’re mine too. I don’t share.”, she scowls. She’s tackled to the ground a second later and looks up to see Tion. “You have got to calm down, Red Hot.”, he says. “I’ll calm down when his head rolls!”, Red shouts as she pushes Tion off. Chloe grabs her next and wrestles the two of them into an empty room.

“What the hell, Red?!”, Chloe questions. “What?!”, Red questions back. “You just pulled a dagger on an innocent kid.”, Chloe says angrily. “He’s not innocent, he’s a thief.”, Red says in disbelief. How could the princess not see it? “He hasn’t stolen anything!”, Chloe says exasperatedly. “He’s trying to steal you!”, Red whines. “He-what? Red, what are you talking about?”, Chloe questions in confusion.

“He keeps coming around you and he wants to hang out with you and only you. You’re mine. My girlfriend, my best friend, my princess.”, Red answer. Chloe looks at her for a second before pulling the red head into a hug. “Oh Bunny, no one’s ever gonna take me away from you.”, she sighs. “You’ve got to turn this possessiveness down, boo. You could’ve killed him.”, she adds.

“I can’t help it. It’s a royal Wonderlandian thing.”, Red says. She had calmed down considerably and was now breathing in Chloe’s scent. “What do you mean?”, the bluenette questions. “Me and my mom, we don’t share well. When something or well..someone is ours, we want them to ourselves. According to my mom, she almost killed your dad when they were our age.”, Red recounts.

“We can’t control it. It’s like the madness but more from the heart.”, she continues. “You trust me, right?”, Chloe questions. “With my life.”, Red nods. “Then trust me enough to know that I’ll never willingly let someone take me away from you.”, Chloe says softly. Her thumbs come up to stroke Red’s checks and the red head hums. “And don’t think I didn’t hear you claim our friends.”, Chloe teases.

“I have no clue what you’re talking about.”, Red dismisses. “You have to apologize to Ronnie.”, the bluenette sighs. “No, not right now. The madness wants his head rolling and his blood painting roses.”, Red says. “The madness is going to get you kicked out of our bed for the night.”, Chloe deadpans. “You wouldn’t dare.”, Red challenges with a small nip to the bluenettes neck.

Chloe loses her tough glare at the feeling of those familiar fangs on her skin. “You’re right, I wouldn’t.”, Chloe grins as she pulls the taller girl into a kiss. Ok scratch what she said at the beginning-she was totally into her girlfriend’s possessiveness.

Chapter Text

Chloe always knew that Red liked physical touch.

From the moment they met, even when the Queen of Hearts was evil, Red would still brush her fingers against her mother’s dress every now and again. She was quick to grab Chloe by the wrist to stop her from waving at people. All in all, she liked to touch. On the other hand, she didn’t like to be touched unless she allowed it.

That being said, she doesn’t let people anywhere near her ears. The same with her neck, she never let anyone be behind her. There were certain parts of herself that she just kept away from people. At first Chloe never knew, but then she learns the hard way.

Let’s get into the first time she saw how Red reacted, was when she was scolding her girlfriend. The two were walking through campus holding hands when someone bumps into the red head. “Oh so you can’t say sorry?”, she questions after the boy. Chloe tunes back into the world at the sound of her girlfriend’s voice and zeroes in on her girlfriend’s retreating figure.

“It was a mistake.”, the boy shrugs dismissively. “Oh I see the problem. You don’t know how to apologize for mistakes since no one ever apologized about you.”, Red smiles sarcastically. Her hand reaches for her dagger but she freezes in place when a hand clamps around the back of her neck.

“N-not there.”, she stammers as sparks shoot through her body. “We’re not doing this right now.”, Chloe sighs as she leads the red head away. She leads Red into a janitors closet and her girlfriend looks at her with half lidded eyes.

Not that Chloe wasn’t a fan of that look, because trust, she definitely was, but it didn’t seem right. She removes her hand and Red falls to her knees. Chloe stares at her with wide eyes and backs up out of shock. “Red?”, she calls. Red tinged eyes look up to meet hers and she gasps. “Are you okay?”, she questions.

“I’d be better if we were back in our dorm, alone.”, Red answers. She begins to slowly crawl forward making Chloe back up. She squeaks as a hand wraps around her calf and looks down into red eyes. “I don’t know what’s gotten into you, and as much as I would love it any other time, you’re freaking me out.”, Chloe says as she opens the door.

She grabs the red head by the wrist and drags her to the nurses office. As they sit and wait, Red can’t control her wandering hands. They grab and rub and it drives Chloe crazy. The other people waiting give them strange looks as Chloe bats her girlfriend’s hands away every few second. “Hands to yourself.”, she scolds quietly.

“How could I not touch you, Princess? You’re irresistible.”, Red practically purrs as she leans closer. Chloe leans away and almost falls out of her chair. “Ok, this is taking too long. We’re getting to the bottom of this.”, she says. She grabs Red by the collar of her jacket and pulls her all the way to their room. After getting the door open, she pushes Red towards her own bed and points a finger at her.

“Sit.”, she commands. The red head does as told and looks up with a playful smirk. “Now..stay. I’m going to call your mom and figure out what’s wrong with you.”, Chloe says. “No head pat?”, Red pouts in pretend sadness. She yelps as Chloe slaps her in the back of the head and looks at the bluenette in surprise.

“How’d you know I was into pain?”, she questions. Chloe lets out something between a squawk and a gasp as her face turns red. “Ok, that’s it!”, she says. She grabs one of her bandannas and shoves it in the red heads mouth. “You spit it out and you sleep in your own bed.”, she threatens.

Red holds her hands up in false surrender and watches her girlfriend. Chloe chances one last glance to her before looking for Red’s deck of cards. “Where are your cards?”, she questions. Red smirks behind the bandanna and motions to her jacket pocket. “Give them to me.”, Chloe says, holding out her hand expectedly.

Red shakes her head and makes a ‘come here’ motion with her hand. “What?”, Chloe asks. Red points a finger at her then at her own jacket pocket and Chloe sighs as she realizes what the red head wants. “I am not getting any closer to you. You better either come and get me yourself, or give me the cards.”, she says.

Red grins and jumps up. “Red, no!”, Chloe squeaks as she slips just out of her girlfriend’s reach. The red head chases her making Chloe have to decide if she was scared or having fun. The fun she was having is cut short when she’s tackled from behind. The world seems to spin as she flipped over.

When she regains her bearings, she looks down into her girlfriend’s eyes. “Hey, Princess.”, the red head grins. Chloe quickly snatches the deck of cards out of the girl’s pocket and throws the queen of hearts in the air. “Hello-oh. I think you girls may have accidentally called.”, Bridget comments as she sees their position.

“No, it was on purpose. Red is acting weird.”, Chloe grunts as she pins Red wrists to the bed underneath. “Clover, hang up.”, Red whines. “Oh dear. You must’ve touched her neck or her ears.”, Bridget says. “She was going to stab someone, I just grabbed where I could reach.”, Chloe explains. She begins to feel little kisses and nips on her now exposed stomach and looks down at the red head.

“Behave yourself!”, she grits with a sharp pinch to her vein. “So, can you help?”, she questions to Bridget. “Of course, dear. Look in Red’s mini fridge. I sent her a package of my famous flamingo feather cupcakes. Take a feather off and get her to eat it.”, the queen answers. “Thanks, Bridget.”, Chloe sighs. “Anytime. Hm, remind me to apologize to your mother the next time we see each other.”, Bridget comments.

“Huh?”, Chloe questions. “Anyway! You two have a good night.”, Bridget interrupts as she hangs up. Chloe looks at where the card once was and watches as it falls back into the deck. It’s only then that she feels warmth on her stomach. “What have you done now?”, she sighs. She sits back on her girlfriend’s lap and her eyes go wide at the sight of the four different card suits on her stomach made out of hickies.

“How?!”, she groans. “I could put them somewhere else.”, Red offers with a fiendish smile. Chloe puts the bandanna in her mouth again and climbs off her. She grumbles to herself as she yanks a feather off of a cupcake and slams the mini fridge shut. “Eat it. Now.”, she commands as she takes the bandanna away.

“I’d rather eat-Nope!”, Chloe interjects. She places the feather between her own lips and pulls the red head into a kiss. Red groans appreciatively and Chloe takes the chance to shove the feather in her mouth. “Swallow.”, she says as she clamps a hand over Red’s mouth. “Mm-mm.”, the Wonderlandian muffles, shaking her head.

Chloe thinks about what to do before getting an idea. “If you swallow it, I’ll let you do whatever you want to me.”, she whispers. She pairs it with a small scratch to the red heads stomach. Red swallows the feather and her eyes flash pink and she promptly passes out.

Chloe climbs off of her and looks at her stomach in the mirror. “How am I gonna cover this up?”, she mumbles to herself. A groan snaps her out of it and she looks up to see Red looking at her. “Blue? When did we get back to the dorm?”, she questions. “What all do you remember?”, Chloe questions. “We were walking and someone bumped into me and now we’re here.”, Red answers.

“I grabbed you by the neck and you did this to me.”, Chloe says motioning to her stomach. “Oh. Sorry?”, the red head shrugs. “I should’ve told you, it’s another Wonderland thing.”, she sighs. “I figured.”, Chloe deadpans. “Well, we have these..soft spots I guess you could call them. They make us all, touchy touchy.”, Red explains.

“So I’ve noticed. I had to call your mom.”, Chloe says. “You called my mom?! Oh rabbits, that’s so embarrassing.”, Red groans. She hides her face in her hands and lets out a deep exhale. “Oh, boo, it could never be more embarrassing than talking to your girlfriend’s mom whilst sitting on top of said girlfriend and getting hickies sucked into your stomach.”, Chloe says sarcastically.

“Again, sorry. But hey, at least they look good. I made a perfect heart, on my perfect heart.”, Red says in attempt to pacify her girlfriend. “You’re waking up early and helping me cover them.”, Chloe says walking away. “Alright.”, Red sighs in defeat.

Notes:

Whew, this was a long one. You guessed it, another personal headcannon, what do we think? Also, would you guys mind if I made Bridgella versions of these? Someone put the idea in my head and I thought it was interesting.

Chapter Text

Ella had never seen her best friend act like this before. She was kinda into it?

Everyone that knew Bridget of Hearts knew that the girl was as sweet as sugar. The pink princess wouldn’t hurt a fly. That was meant literally by the way, she genuinely couldn’t. She was the stereotypical princess, pink, nice, and could talk to animals. When asked about that last thing her only answer was ‘What, you can’t?’ before she skipped off.

The Wonderlandian princess was waiting outside of the campus for her best and only friend, Ella. She glances at her heart shaped pocket watch and smiles as she sees Ella walking up the path. “Just on time.”, she says to herself. She grabs the little tray of muffins she brought and offers them to the blue haired girl as she walks up.

“Good morning, Ella. I made your favorite, blueberry.”, she smiles. “Thanks, B. You always know what I need in the morning.”, Ella says. She wraps her arm around Bridget’s and the two begin walking onto campus. They make small talk as they walk with Bridget handing out different muffins as they go. “Oh here we go.”, Ella sighs and the familiar gang stalk through the courtyard.

“Well, if it isn’t Princess Pinky and her peasant friend.”, Uliana sneers. “Well if it isn’t Captain Squidface and her lame pirates.”, Ella scoffs. “Oh, good morning, Uli. Would you like a muffin?”, Bridget offers. She didn’t really want to share them since they were Ella’s favorite but she supposed one or two wouldn’t hurt. “Oh, I do!”, Morgie says happily.

“No you don’t, ye’ dip.”, Hook scolds, slapping him in the back of the head. “That’s not very nice, James. You’re more than welcome to have one, Morgie.”, Bridget says. “Pssh, no way I want one of your stupid muffins.”, Morgie says in fake disinterest. “And my name, is Hook, Pinky.”, Captain Hook spits. “No need to be rude, and there’s certainly no need for name calling.”, Bridget says firmly.

“Let’s just go, B. I don’t even know why you waste your time on these nobodies.”, Ella says with an eye roll. “Uh, if anyone is a nobody, it’s you. I’m the god of the Underworld.”, Hades says in offense. “Yet you’re in the over world following behind some random squid chick. You’re totally somebody.”, Ella mocks sarcastically.

Bridget catches herself giving heart eyes to her best friend and forces herself to look away. Hades seems to sputter before snarling at the pair. “Hmph, this is what I think about your stupid muffins.”, he says smacking the tray out of Bridget’s hands. He stomps on the muffins and returns back to his girlfriend.

Whatever Ella says to him falls on dead ears as Bridget stares down at the muffins. They were Ella’s favorite and now they were ruined. She hadn’t even done anything and they were picking on her. Even worse, they were bothering Ella. Ella didn’t deserve to be bothered just because people couldn’t leave Bridget alone. A hot pressure starts to build in the pink haired princess’s chest as she clenches and unclenches her fists.

“Uh oh, looks like Princess Pinky is having an episode.”, Uliana taunts. “Leave her alone!”, Ella commands. “And if I don’t?”, Uliana questions as she steps closer. Bridget watches the interaction and feels the pressure become stronger. “Are you her royal guard dog now? Where’s your little tag, hm? ‘If lost return to Princess Pinky’ Every good guard dog needs a tag, right Cinderella?”, Uliana says.

“Don’t call her that!”, Bridget says. She had managed to push the pressure down but it had flared up at that remark. “Oh no you guys, we can’t call her that ‘cause it makes her bestie westie mad.”, Uliana says in a baby voice. The rest of the gang laughs and Bridget swears it feels like hammers beating into her skull. “I don’t feel good, Ella. We should go.”, she says.

“Come on, B. They’re not worth it anyways.”, Ella says. She takes her friend’s hand and begins to lead her away. “Oh no you don’t!”, Uliana says as one of her tentacles wraps around Ella’s waist. The blue haired girl is lifted into the air and she squirms. She was deathly afraid of heights and Bridget knew this. “Hey, put her down!”, she shouts. The pressure was burning hotter as it spread through her body.

She feels something poke at her lip but brushes it off as she focuses on Ella. “Give me back my Ella.”, she demands through clenched teeth. “You want her? Take her.”, Uliana cackles as she throws the blue haired girl towards her friend. Ella squeal of fear is cut short by Bridget catching her. A growling sound comes from her friend and she looks up into shocking red eyes.

“B?”, she questions. Her friend sets her on the ground and charges towards Uliana. Her fist connects with the sea-witch’s face before anyone could sense it and she bares her teeth. “I am so tired of you thinking you can do whatever you want! Newsflash, you’re not special!”, she grunts as she continues to punch and scratch.

“Get off me!”, Uliana cries. “You never stopped when I begged you to! You or anybody else ever cared when I cried and begged and tried to be nice!”, Bridget rants angrily. She feels hands truing to pull her off and looks up to see Hook. “Come on little princess, this isn’t how princesses behave.”, he says.

“And what would you know? You’re a half-assed excuse of a pirate who’s never even stepped foot on a boat!”, Bridget shouts. Her pink heeled boot kicks him where the sun doesn’t shine and he crumples to the ground. Ella was frozen in shock as she watched her friend snap.

The swearing, the growling, the slight sadistic tone of her voice, Ella was feeling a lot of conflicting feelings right now. “I want all your heads! I’ll paint the roses in my garden red, each shade from your heads!”, she snarls. She laughs maniacally as she rips his hook off his hand and throws it away. “Not so tough now, huh? What now, James?!”, she shouts, kicking him in the ribs.

He wheezes and curls up on his side away from her. “Oh come on, little pirate, you don’t wanna play?”, she cackles as she stomps onto his ribs. She looks down at her pink nails and smiles as she gets an idea. “I’m gomna rip your fuckin’ head off.”, she says quietly, her voice full of glee. She kicks the pirate again to make him uncurl and climbs on top of him. She digs her nails into his neck and begins to squeeze.

She imagines the blood trialing down her fingers, warm and sticky, leaving that familiar metallic scent in the air. Hook begins to choke as he scratches at her hands to no avail. He locks eyes with the blue haired girl standing behind them and pleads with his eyes. “P-please.”, he begs. “Silence!”, Bridget commands. Ella shakes herself out of her slightly concerning fantasy and grabs onto Bridget.

“Let go of me!”, Bridget demands as she kicks at the air. “B. B! It’s me, it’s Ella.”, the blue haired girl says softly. “E-Ella?”, Bridget questions. She turns around and looks into familiar brown eyes. She smiles and looks back at Hook. “Look what I did.”, she says happily. “Why’d you do it?”, Ella questions, genuinely curious for the answer.

“For you. I do everything for you.”, Bridget answers. She takes one of Ella’s hands and presses a kiss to the back of it. “You have to snap out of it, B. As much as I enjoyed this, and trust me, I enjoyed it a lot, this is kind of scary.”, Ella says. “B-but I did it for you.”, Bridget stammers. Noticing how the girl had begun shaking, Ella cups the princess’s face with her hands.

“I know, baby, I know. Just, come back to me, okay? This isn’t you.”, she says softy. Her thumbs stroke Bridget’s face and red eyes flutter closed. Bridget’s shaking stops and the tension drains from her body. Her eyes open and they’re back to their usual brown, now with red specks that reflected in the light. She groans and sluggishly blinks.

She presses a kiss to Ella’s right palm and looks into her eyes. “What happened?”, she questions softly. Her mouth felt awkward and her fist hurt. She couldn’t see inside her mouth but she could definitely look down at her fist. She gasps whens he sees how red and irritated it is. Her hands start to shake and Ella is quick to take her non-injured hand. “Breathe, honey.”, is all she says.

Following her words, Bridget lets out the breath she had sucked in. “You snapped on Uliana and her gang. Mostly her and Hook. You tried to behead Hook with your bare hands.”, Ella recounts. Bridget looks under her fingernails and sees blood beginning to dry. “Oh no. Oh no, no, no, no, no.”, she says.

Her hands come up to cover her mouth but Ella is quick to pull them away. “What was that, B?”, she questions. “My-my madness. I didn’t think I could get it here-in Auradon. I was hoping I couldn’t get here. Mom said I was a late bloomer so that meant I wasn’t gonna get it.”, Bridget rambles. She uses her tongue to feel the new teeth in her mouth and pauses at the feeling of fangs.

“Oh gosh. Do I have fangs?”, she questions. Ella looks up and had to force herself to keep her cool. “Uh, yeah, you do. Are those uh-permanent?”, she questions. Her voice betrayed just how affected she was by her friend’s display. Bridget nods sadly and Ella silently thanks whatever gods have decided to bless her with this image. “Oh gods.”, she breathes. “How about you explain a little more?”, she suggests.

“It’s a Wonderland thing-a royal thing, to be more exact. In my mother’s bloodline, there is one of the most ancient Wonderland diseases that’s been passed down. That’s the madness. It’s like all the hatred and anger in the world squeezed into one little container.”, Bridget explains. “I guess you flipped your lid today, huh?”, Ella says sympathetically.

Bridget nods sadly again and Ella coos before pulling her into a hug. “Don’t worry, honey. You didn’t go too far. Now, we’ve already missed first period, how about we go and bake something to help you feel better?”, she suggests. Bridget brightens up and nods. “I found a new blueberry pie recipe.”, she says.

“Even better. Let’s go.”, Ella smiles. So that’s how they spend the rest of their day. In the kitchen, baking together. Well Bridget baked, Ella sat on the counter, sneaking blueberries when Bridget wasn’t looking. She also may have just been sneaking glances at her now fanged friend and imagining what those fangs would feel like. She’d never admit or confirm that last part though.

Notes:

What do we think? But it’ll probably switch back and forth between bridgella and glassheart and of course feel free to give me some scenarios for either pair or both.

Chapter Text

It was the start of what Red had been dreading, Family Week. It was called that because it was a week worth of crap to do. She was excited to see her mom but she was wasn’t excited for all the so called festivities. Apparently there were a bunch of kingdom bonding exercises and other crap like that. “C’mon, boo. We have to get ready.”, Chloe says as she breaks their cuddle bubble.

“Do we have to go?”, Red huffs. She just wanted to spend their one free week in bed with her blue. “Yes, we do. I haven’t seen my brother in months and he’s finally on break.”, Chloe says happily. She couldn’t wait for family day to start. All the people she loved in one spot for a whole week? How could it get better than that.

Light kisses on her neck make her eyes flutter shut before she realizes what’s happening. “Hey, no. We’re going and you’re going to put on some presentable clothes.”, she says pulling away from the red head. She turns to look at her and holds back a laugh at the sight of the sleepy pout on her usually tough girlfriend’s face. “It’s too early.”, Red whines. “We have to go welcome them.”, Chloe says.

“Y’know, I blame your enthusiasm on your dad. Your mom is super chill.”, Red sighs as she stands up. “Well-you..I don’t know what to blame on your dad. Do you even have one?”, Chloe questions in confusion. “Nope. My old mom was the stereotypical man hating lesbian. Now she’s just a lesbian.”, Red answers with a shrug. “Then how do you exist?”, Chloe pushes. “My love, I’m from Wonderland. Do you really want to get into how children can be conceived there?”, Red deadpans.

“Not at all.”, Chloe responds with a small shudder. She checks the time and a smile breaks out on her face. “Go get ready, I’ll get you something out.”, she says. “Blue.”, Red says skeptically as she’s pushed into the bathroom. “Trust me, Bunny.”, Chloe smiles as she shuts the door. Red gets showered and sticks her hand out of the door for clothes.

“Please nothing dorky.”, she says as she feels the fabric being set in her hand. “I know how to dress you better than you do. I know what you like.”, Chloe scoffs. Red sucks it up and gets dressed in the clothes she was handed. One of her brighter red button ups, a pair of black slacks and a black and red vest.

“I look like a dork.”, she comments as she steps out. “Shush and let me work.”, Chloe says. Red goes to retaliate but is stopped by her phone ringing. “Hi, mom.”, she greets as she picks up. “Hello, my darling! I’m quite excited to see you again. It’s been ages since I held my baby.”, Bridget coos sarcastically. “Not a baby.”, Red sighs. “Oh, don’t be a party pooper. Are you excited?”, Bridget questions.

“I’m excited to see you but I’m not excited about all the people.”, Red answers. “I share your sentiments. You know how the madness gets in crowds. All the overwhelming noise, the touching.”, Bridget sighs. “At least you get to see Ella, right?”, Red says in attempts to lighten the mood.

“That, I do. It’s been entirely too long.”, the queen sighs wistfully. “Ew mom, your gay is showing.”, Red teases with a snort. “You cheeky booger. I’ll see you in a little bit, alright?”, Bridget chuckles. “Okay. I love you.”, Red says. “I love you more, my heart.”, Bridget says as she hangs up. “Awe, look at you being a mommy’s girl.”, Chloe teases softly.

Red looks in the mirror and sees her clothes properly adjusted. “I’m gonna go get ready. You have some matching socks on your bed, pick a pair of your boots that actually go with your outfit, please? And for the love of Merlin, put on a belt.”, Chloe says. “Aye, aye, Princess.”, Red says with a grin as she grabs her favorite belt. It was black with a golden bedazzled heart shaped buckle.

She carefully considers all her boots before going with the pair with gold buckles on the sides. She grabs some jewelry, rings, earrings for her many piercings, and the necklace Chloe gifted her. It was a thin gold necklace with a ‘C’ pendant hanging from it. “Alright Princess, I’m ready.”, she calls out. Chloe slips out of the bathroom in a simple gold dress and the red head looks at her in awe.

“What do you think?”, Chloe questions, doing a small twirl. “You look absolutely maddening.”, Red breathes, still in awe of the girl she gets to call her girlfriend. “Thank you, boo. And you look rather charming.”, Chloe smiles. “Stop it with the puns.”, Red says. “You know you love them.”, Chloe says as she heads over to her jewelry box.

She takes out the necklace Red got her, a simple silver chain with an ‘R’ pendant. “Put it on for me?”, she questions. Red slips behind her easily and claps the necklace on. She leaves a kiss on the blue haired girl’s shoulder and looks at her in the mirror. “By the rabbit, I am the luckiest girl in all of Wonderland and Auradon.”, she says softly.

“I might have beat you there. My girlfriend is pretty awesome.”, Chloe says. “Impossible.”, Red grins. Chloe breaks away again and digs in her closet. “Ok, bow tie or regular tie?”, she questions holding both up. “Why do you need a tie?”, Red questions. “It’s for you.”, Chloe deadpans. “No, I don’t wanna.”, Red says childishly. “It’s a formal dinner.”, Chloe sighs.

“It makes me feel like a dog on a leash.”, Red whines. “Ok then wear the bow tie.”, Chloe says in exasperation. “But that makes me look like a dork.”, Red says. “Red, bottom line, you’re wearing one of these ties. They both go good with my dress and you need one to get into the dinner. So pick one or I’ll pick for you.”, Chloe says through clenched teeth.

Red says nothing and folds her arms. Chloe grins and snakes her hands around the taller girl’s neck. They cup the back of her neck as she pulls the red head into a kiss. “You know how I get when you touch my neck.”, Red warns as they pull back. “I know, I just needed to distract you while I tied your tie.”, Chloe smiles. Red looks at her confused before the blue haired princess backs away.

Red looks in the mirror and sees the longer gold tie fasted neatly around her neck. “How the hell?”, she questions to herself. “You coming? My mom just texted me.”, Chloe questions. Red catches up and the two lock hands as they walk. “How did you do that?”, Red questions. “I know how to tie a tie, you were distracted.”, Chloe shrugs as she trails off. “But that was quick, like really quick.”, Red pushes.

“Oh look, there’s my parents.”, Chloe says, changing the subject. “There’s my girl.”, Charming says as Chloe runs into his arms. “Hi, dad.”, she smiles. “Hello to you, Red.”, Charming says. “Hi, Mr. Charming.”, Red responds. “Hi there, Red.”, Ella says. “Hi, Ella.”, Red smiles, allowing herself to be pulled into a hug. “Oh you’re just like your mother, you favor Ella more.”, Charming says playfully.

“I’m sure that’s not true. Red is just more comfortable with mom.”, Chloe says to her father. “Yeah but Bridget definitely likes your mom more.”, the man says. “I heard my name?”, Bridget questions as she walks up. “Mother.”, Red greets. “Daughter.”, Bridget nods. The two break into laughter and the queen pulls her daughter into a hug.

“I’ve missed you, my rose.”, she says. “I missed you more.”, Red says as she settles into her mother’s hold. “Where’s my hug?”, Chad questions as he walks up. Chloe squeals and jumps into her brother’s arms. Ella waits for the mother daughter duo to break apart and steps closer. “Hi, B. It’s been so long.”, the blue queen smiles. She pulls her friend into a hug and Bridget sighs. “Entirely too long, my heart.”, the red haired queen smiles.

The two engage in a small conversation that looked far too intimate for friends. “So girls, what’s first?”, Charming questions as he throws his arms over his daughter and her girlfriend. “Well there’s a little meet and greet going on in here for all the rulers to just mingle. Then there’s a dinner for everyone and Principal Uma’s gonna make a speech.” Chloe lists.

“You got forced into a tie too?”, Chad whispers to Red. The red head sighs and nods and the blonde hums sympathetically. “What do you think our moms are talking about?”, he asks. “Probably just catching up.”, Red shrugs. Her hand gets grabbed by her girlfriend and she allows herself to be pulled along.

“How’ve you been?”, Ella questions. “I can’t complain. I’ve been trying out new recipes. I tried this enchanted blueberry pie, you’d love it.”, Bridget smiles. “You’ll have to bring me a piece sometime. You know I love anything you bake.”, Ella grins. The two giggle like the schoolgirls they once were and rest their heads against each other. “Don’t think I didn’t notice that you ignored Charming.”, Ella says.

“I have no clue what you’re talking about, my heart.”, Bridget says. “I mean it, B. Play nice.”, Ella warns. “When don’t I?”, Bridget smirks. The two walk into the main area and catch back up with everyone. “Hello, darling, Bridget.”, Charming says. “Christopher.”, Bridget says. “What did I just tell you?”, Ella questions to the red head.

Bridget holds her hands up in surrender and looks over at her daughter. “Now how did you get convinced to put on a tie?”, she questions. Red’s face flushes at the memory and she huffs before looking away. “I put it on her.”, Chloe answers. She teasingly pats at her girlfriend’s cheek and the red head snaps her teeth at the air.

“No biting.”, both her mother and girlfriend say. “I feel like I have two moms.”, Red groans. She walks away to Ella and her own mother chuckles. “Just so you know, I distracted her and tied it.”, Chloe says. “I figured as much. You’re just like your mother, conniving and sneaky.”, the red queen says happily. She was glad that her daughter got her own blue.

The Family Day meet and greet commences right on time. The adult royals, dressed in their finest attire, mingled and exchanged pleasantries. Red stood in a corner, her eyes scanning the room filled with faces that once knew her mother as she fidgets with her tie.

Bridget, standing beside Red, fidgeted nervously with her nails, trying her best to seem unaffected. She never felt at ease in social gatherings, and tonight was no exception. Red, sensing her mother's discomfort, felt her own anxiety intensify. They both preferred solitude over crowds, and the extravagance of the event only made them feel more out of place.

Across the room, Chloe navigated the social scene with ease, her confidence and charm drawing people towards her. Ella watched proudly as Chloe engaged in lively conversations, effortlessly blending in with the crowd.

Chloe's eyes eventually found Red and Bridget, standing awkwardly in their corner. She nudged Ella. "Mom, look at them. They look like they're plotting an escape.” Ella chuckled. "Well, you know Bridgey. It takes her a while to warm up to people. Plus, I think you're just eager to get back to Red.” Chloe grinned. "Guilty as charged. But seriously, maybe we should go rescue them?"

Ella nodded thoughtfully. "Alright, but let's give them a bit of time first. You know how Bridget—sorry, 'Queen of Awkwardness'—is."

Chloe laughed. "Mom, you're terrible. But yeah, you're right. Let's keep an eye on them and swoop in if they look like they're about to bolt."

As they watched, Red continued to fiddle with her tie, looking like she was trying to solve a complex puzzle. Bridget, meanwhile, was lost in her own world of nervous fidgeting. Chloe and Ella exchanged amused glances, ready to step in.

Red and Bridget chat lightly, trying to shake each other out of their nerves when the whispering starts. Snippets of conversations about the past reaching Red's ears. "Remember Bridget? She was always so... troubled," one royal murmured to another. Red's heart pounded in her chest, the weight of their judgment pressing down on her. She clenched her fists, trying to hold back the rising tide of anger and resentment.

Bridget, noticing Red's agitation, leaned closer and whispered, "Are you okay?" Her voice was shaky, betraying her own unease. Red shook her head, her eyes burning with a mixture of pain and fury. "They're talking about you. They don't know anything," she spat, her voice trembling.

Her eyes begin to tint red and she takes a breath. “It’s expected, my dear. They’re afraid of me, they always have been,” Bridget murmurs. Her own rage had begun feeding off of her daughter’s and she could feel the familiar hot pressure in her chest. Madness recognized madness and as much as she wanted to push it down, Red’s was enticing her own.

Who were these uptight jerks to judge her, The Queen of Hearts? She’d have their heads. No, she shouldn’t be thinking like that, she’s not that Bridget anymore, and she promised Ella that she’d play nice. “Bridget Hearts?” A voice questions, breaking her train of heart. Bridget draws in a harsh breath and her hands grip her daughter’s shoulders.

“Jasmine, Aladdin. Such a..pleasure to see you again,” she spits out. The two boys next to them begin looking at Red as their parents continue to talk. “Wow, you’ve matured. The red hair is a nice touch,” Aladdin comments. “Not like I did it on purpose,” Bridget mutters. “And who is this young lady?” Jasmine questions, motioning to a now trembling Red.

The girl was angry from seeing Joseph looking at her like she was some monster. He’s the one that flirted with her girlfriend. She grins at the sight of his black eye and busted lip as he scowls at her. Her hand was twitching, eager to grab the dagger she had hidden in her boot.

“This is my daughter, Red,” Bridget answers. “These are our boys, Jospeh and Aziz,” Aladdin says. “I graduated last year,” Aziz says. “She’s the one who did this to me,” Jospeh spits. “Well you should’ve kept your grimy lips off my girlfriend,” Red snarls. Her world begins to tint red and she huffs as her mother pulls her back.

“Your daughter did this to my son?” Aladdin questions. “And so if she did? I don’t care to know how it works up here, but in Wonderland, flirting with someone’s partner is cause for treason,” Bridget responds. Her world was now beginning to turn red in the corners of her vision. The two red heads were almost glowing with a red aura surrounding them.

“I see your problems got passed down to your daughter. What else to expect from the mad princess?” Jasmine spits. Everyone gasps as gold and red dagger is pointed to her throat. A low growl rumbles in Red’s chest and her eyes begin to turn red. “Don’t talk about my mom like that”, she warns.

“And what else to expect from the lying thief turned king, other than a son who tries to take things thay don’t belong to him?” Bridget sneers as the red specks in her eyes begin to glow. “And if you’re gonna call her names, get your titles right. She’s not the ‘mad princess’, she’s the Queen of Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts,” Red growls. Bridget pulls a deck of cards out of her boot and shuffles through them with a maniacal laugh.

The madness had taken over.

Back inside, Chloe was chewing on her lip from worry. “I’m getting worried, mom. We haven’t seen either of them,” Chloe says to her mother. “As much as I’d like to brush it off, I know Bridget,” Ella sighs. “And I know Red. She’s either snuck off of or in an argument,” Chloe agrees. The blue haired duo make their way outside and their attention is immediately drawn to the small crowd of people heading outside.

Red's eyes blazed with a fierce intensity as she brandished her dagger, her voice laced with a dark thrill. "Shall we carve out some hearts, Mother? I do so love the way they beat in my hands before they go still."

Bridget's eyes sparkled with a matching madness as she shuffled her enchanted cards, each one representing a gruesome fate. "Oh, Red, you always know how to make things interesting. But I do have a fondness for beheading. There's something so... final about it." She drew a card and showed it to Red, the image, the queen of hearts. "Shall we see who loses their head next?"

Red let out a chilling laugh, her dagger poised and ready. "Why not both? A heart for me, a head for you. It's only fair, after all."

Bridget claps her hands with a large smile. “Oh, my rose, you always know just what to say. Why don’t you pick?” she giggles. Red’s dagger points to Jospeh and her eyes seem to flash. “I want his heart. Treason is a punishable offense after all. His heart for my heart that he wished to claim.” Red laughs. Joseph pales and runs outside.

“Don’t you love a good chase, darling?” Bridget laughs. Red just lets out an excited growl in response as she takes off after the prince.

Chloe and Ella sit in shock as they both process all of the thoughts racing through their mind. “I swear I told Red to leave her dagger,” Chloe says breathlessly. “And I made Bridget promise to leave her cards,” Ella comments. They hear a loud yelp and another growl from a little further away and suck in harsh breaths. “That’s our cue?” Chloe questions. “That’s our cue,” Ella nods.

Chloe takes off after her girlfriend, cursing the heels she had chosen to wear, while Ella approaches Bridget.

Chloe finds Red on top of Jospeh with her dagger against his chest. “You think..I’d let you get away with trying to steal my heart?” Red questions slowly. The point of her dagger traces a heart into his shirt, right over where his heart would be, and she giggles, a light growl underlaying the sound.

The blue princess takes a moment to assess the situation. Red was more far gone than she’d ever seen her. It almost seemed like the red head was full animal. With that thought, she makes up her plan of action. She ditches her heels and gets a running start. She tackles her girlfriend to the ground, causing the red head to land on her stomach. “You know who I am. If you bite me, I’ll muzzle you like the animal you are,” she whispers in the red head’s ear.

Red growls and flips around, causing Chloe to quickly grab her wrists and pin them to the ground. She tightenes her grip on Red, feeling the struggle intensify. "You think you can handle me, Red?" she taunted, her voice dripping with defiance. Red's eyes flashed with fury, but there was a glint of something else—respect, perhaps, for Chloe's audacity to challenge her at a time like this.

Red snarled, her teeth snapping in the air between them, a primal growl rumbling from deep within her chest. Chloe couldn't help but feel a strange attraction to Red's wild side, a smirk forming on her lips. "You know, this whole feral thing, I’m kinda into it," she whispered, her tone playful despite the chaos.

Red twisted and turned, trying to break free, but Chloe held firm. "You like the chase, don’t you?" Chloe murmured, her breath hot against Red’s ear. "But this time, the prize is different. It’s your sanity." Red's breathing was ragged, her movements frantic yet calculated.

Chloe could feel the raw power and determination in Red's attempts to escape. But she also sensed the underlying conflict, the part of Red that was still fighting against the madness.

"Stay with me, Red," Chloe urged, her voice softer now but no less intense. "You can get through this. C’mon." Red's struggles began to slow, the wildness in her eyes dimming slightly as Chloe's words reached her. A low growl escaped Red's throat, but the ferocity in her eyes was beginning to wane. Chloe sighs, "Gods, I never thought I'd be this attracted to my girlfriend’s growling."

Meanwhile, Ella continued to hold Bridget, her touch steady and reassuring. "Bridget, listen to me," she said softly, her voice a gentle command that carried an unspoken authority. Bridget's eyes fluttered, the madness in them waning under Ella's calm presence. Bridget let out a guttural snarl, her teeth bared as she fought against the primal urges coursing through her. Ella, despite the dire situation, found herself strangely attracted to her best friend's wild side.

Ella's fingers traced soothing patterns on Bridget's shoulders, her touch both grounding and comforting. "You don't have to be afraid," she murmured, her tone a mix of warmth and quiet strength. "I'm here with you." Bridget's breathing began to even out, her body relaxing slightly against Ella's. The subtle power dynamic between them was at play, with Ella naturally taking the lead, though it was almost imperceptible. Bridget, despite her initial resistance, found solace in Ella's quiet dominance.

"Just focus on my voice," Ella continued, her words a lifeline for Bridget. "We're going to get through this, together." Bridget's eyes, once wild with madness, now showed a flicker of clarity as she held onto Ella's steady presence. A low growl echoed from Bridget's chest, but it was softer now, more subdued. Ella smirked, "You know how I get when you growl at me, Bridgey."

Bridget, still a bit hazy, barely processed them moving into a little secluded hallway. She only lifts her head when she senses her daughter. A low grumble builds in her chest but it trails off into a low whine as Ella’s thumb rubs that one special spot right below her ear. “No need to be so worked up, baby. Calm down for me.” Ella murmurs quietly.

Chloe looked over at Red, who was still visibly shaken. "Hey, boo,  you okay?" she asked softly, her voice filled with concern. Red nodded, still a bit too gone for words. With a quiet grumble, she rests her head on her girlfriend’s shoulder

Bridget, sitting across from her, was equally unsettled. Ella placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "It's alright, Bridget. You're okay now," she said gently. Bridget took a deep breath, trying to get her words. "Thanks, heart,” she utters. Ella gave her a sympathetic smile. "We all have our moments. What's important is that we get through them."

Chloe, sensing that Red needed some space, gently took her hand. "Wanna sneak off for a bit? Just the two of us?" she offered. Red looked at her, grateful for the suggestion. "Yeah," she roughs out. The two of them slipped away, finding a secluded spot in the garden. The night air was cool and refreshing, a stark contrast to the chaos they had just left behind.

Chloe squeezed Red's hand, offering silent support. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to," she said softly. Red shook her head. "No, it's okay. I just... sometimes it feels like everything is spiraling out of control, and I can't do anything to stop it," Chloe nodded, understanding. "I get it. But you don't have to go through it alone. I'm here for you, Bunny."

Red looked at Chloe, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thanks, Clover. It means a lot." Chloe smiled, leaning in to give Red a gentle kiss. "Anytime. Now, let's just enjoy the quiet for a bit, okay?" Red nodded, leaning her head on Chloe's shoulder. As they sat there in the peaceful garden, the chaos of the evening seemed to fade away, replaced by a comforting sense of calm and togetherness.

After Red and Chloe slipped away, Bridget and Ella remained in their secluded corner, the remnants of chaos still lingering in the air around them. Ella could sense Bridget's unease and gently asked, "Are you okay, cupcake? That was quite the scene back there."

Bridget took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "I just... I hate losing control like that," she admitted, her voice tinged with vulnerability. Ella placed a firm, reassuring hand on Bridget's shoulder, her voice steady and resolute.

"Listen to me, baby. It's okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes, but you need to know this—you are never alone. I'm always here for you, no matter what."

Bridget looked at Ella, grateful for her presence. "Thank you, my heart. I appreciate you being here for me," she said softly. Ella's gaze was unwavering. "Of course, B. We're in this together. You can always count on me, and I won't let you forget that."

As they sat together in the quiet corner, the night enveloped them in a sense of peace and understanding. Bridget found solace in Ella's steadfast presence, knowing that even in moments of chaos, there was a steady anchor in their bond of relationship.

After a few moments of peaceful silence, Bridget and Ella sat together, feeling a bit more grounded. The calm was abruptly interrupted by the sound of Chloe's voice, growing louder as she approached.

"Come on, boo! It's not that big of a deal!" Chloe's voice carried through the air, filled with playful exasperation. Red, being dragged by her tie, protested loudly, "Chloe, let go! I swear, if you don't stop—"

Chloe just grinned, ignoring Red's pleas, and continued pulling her along. As they came into view, Bridget and Ella couldn't help but burst into laughter at the comical sight. "Looks like someone's in trouble," Ella teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Bridget chuckled, "Oh, Red, you never learn, do you?,” Red shot them a mock glare, though a smile tugged at her lips. "You two are enjoying this way too much,” Chloe finally let go of Red's tie, giving her a light shove towards the group. "Alright, alright, no more protests. We're all here together, and that's what matters."

Red straightened her tie, grumbling good-naturedly. "Yeah, yeah. Just remember this the next time you need saving, Princess.” Chloe winked, "I'll keep that in mind."

The four settled back into their corner, the tension from earlier dissipating in the warmth of their shared laughter and camaraderie. Despite the chaos and the madness that often surrounded them, moments like these reminded them of the strength and comfort they found in each other.

Chapter Text

Chloe was stressed and fed up at the same time.

Red had always been a bit of an enigma to Chloe. Dating someone from Wonderland came with its quirks, but Chloe loved Red's eccentricities. However, nothing could have prepared her for the peculiar ordeal that began one seemingly ordinary night after Red’s first madness.

It started subtly. Chloe woke up one morning with a dull ache in her shoulder, only to find tiny indentations that felt suspiciously like teeth marks. Her fingers traced over them and she held back a wince. Red was still fast asleep, her lips slightly parted, revealing the faintest glimmer of her new fangs. “Bunny, did you bite me?” she questioned quietly. “Mm-mm,” Red hummed sleepily. Chloe looked at her skeptically before brushing it off and lying back down.

As the days went by, the gnawing became more frequent. Red would absentmindedly nibble on Chloe's arm while they watched TV, or chew on her fork during dinner. Her gums were clearly causing her discomfort, and Chloe could see the frustration in Red's eyes. Red would sometimes, not so subtly, stick a finger in her mouth and scratch her gums.

One evening, as they cuddled on the couch, Red's teething habits took a more intense turn. She was gently nibbling on Chloe’s bare shoulder, something that her girlfriend noticed that she did a lot. She never did it too hard and it seemed to help her feel better, so Chloe allowed it to happen.

Suddenly, Red felt a burning hot, searing pain shoot through her gums, causing her to instinctively clamp her teeth down into Chloe’s shoulder, causing her to yelp in pain. Red immediately pulled back, her eyes wide with guilt and worry. "I'm so sorry, Clover. I didn't mean to. My teeth, they hurt so bad, it’s driving me mad," Red said, her voice trembling.

"I know, Bunny. But this is getting out of hand. Your gums must be really bothering you," Chloe replied, rubbing her sore shoulder. Red whined softly at seeing her girlfriend in pain because of her. Chloe gently cups her cheek and strokes it with her thumb. “I just..I need it to stop. My mouth is hot and my gums itch and I can’t focus on anything else,” Red huffed.

Chloe hummed sympathetically and rubbed her girlfriend’s shoulder. “I know you can’t control it,” she sighed.

The next time was really her last straw.

It had started out a relatively normal day. The two woke up together, Chloe had another hole in yet another sleep shirt, they got ready and went to class. Red was in class, chewing on her pen more than she was taking notes. The hard plastic was cool and felt so good against her hot gums. She gnawed on it with an increasing intensity, completely abandoning the façade of pretending to be listening.

Unconsciously, she was making little growling sounds as she went to town on her pen. Chloe, who heard the quiet rumblings from behind her, turned to see her girlfriend feverishly chewing on her pen. She mentally cursed the teacher for assigning seats and turns to face the girl. “Red, spit it out,” she commanded quietly.

Her hand made an attempt to reach for it, only to be met with red eyes and sharp teeth. “Mine,” the redhead growled with bared teeth. Chloe pulled back and huffed at her girlfriend. “Ms. Bell? Can I take Red to the infirmary? She’s..not feeling well,” she questioned. The teachers had learned a few things from the odd couple.

One, never question it if Chloe had to take Red somewhere. The redhead hated everyone but her girlfriend and would make it very known. Two, if Chloe says that Red needs to leave class, let them go unless someone wanted to lose their head or their heart.

The teacher looked to Chloe, then to Red and gasped at the sight of the feral looking redhead, still going to town on her pen. As if she felt the stare, Red’s wild eyes looked up to lock eyes with the teacher. She snarled at the woman causing the small woman to startle. Chloe winced and hit her girlfriend on the back of the head.

“G-go right ahead, Ms. Charming,” the woman stammered. Chloe gratefully gathered her things and Red’s things before yanking her girlfriend out of the room. “Red Avani D’Amore Hearts, you cut it out right now.”, Chloe whispered harshly as the walked through the halls. She had taken the pen out of Red’s mouth and tossed it somewhere into the courtyard.

“Hurts..needa make it..stop,” Red panted as she sticks her fingers in her mouth. “Your fingers aren’t clean, Bunny. Out of your mouth,” Chloe sighs. Red huffed out a whine and picks up Chloe’s hand. She began to gnaw on her girlfriend’s fingers, knowing the princess prioritized hygiene. Chloe just groaned and allowed it to happen.

They made it back to their dorm and Chloe sat Red in the bed with a cold towel in her mouth. “I’m gonna go and get some ice from the dining hall, you wait here.”, the youngest Charming sighed as she left. Red nodded her head and sat at her desk, trying to get some work done. The towel had began to melt and lose its firmness, causing Red to lose interest.

She dumped the towel in the sink and sits back at the desk. “Gotta get this work done,” she mumbled to herself. She had started to chew on her pen when her eyes drifted over to Chloe’s blue notebook. The metal spine looked inviting and before she could stop herself, her girlfriend’s notebook was in her mouth and she was going to town.

The pressure of the cardboard was just right and the ache in her gums had finally gone away. Without noticing, her fangs had punctured through and began tearing at the paper inside. It was only when the notebook split in half did she notice. Before she could hide it, Chloe comes through the door with a bucket of ice.

Red looked at her with wide eyes as the blue princess set the bucket down. “Red,” she said lowly. Red hummed to show her acknowledgment but still avoided eye contact. “Is that my notebook?” Chloe continued. Red nodded wordlessly and hesitantly glanced at her girlfriend.

It looked like Chloe went through all five stages of grief before she sighed out and stepped closer. With a firm tug, she yanked the remainder of her notebook out of Red’s hand and paged through it. “Great. How am I gonna explain this to my teacher? ‘Oh sorry I don’t have the homework sir, my girlfriend ate it.’ Do you hear how ridiculous that is?” she questioned.

“I-I didn’t eat it. The rest of it is right here,” Red said, trying to ease the tension. Chloe rubbed a hand over her head and grabbed Red’s cards. “Enough is enough, boo. We’ve got to ask your mom,” she said. Red bowed her head and nodded, causing a small frown to appear on her girlfriend’s face. “Don’t be so down. This’ll help you feel better,” Chloe assures.

She tossed the Queen of Hearts card in the air and was met with Bridget at a desk, doing work. “Hello, Chloe. Where’s Red, is everything alright?”she questions. "Bridget, I need your help. Red's been teething, and it's getting really painful for both of us. What can we do?" Chloe asked, her voice tinged with desperation.

Bridget chuckled softly on the other end. "Ah, the first madness and the arrival of adult fangs. It's a rite of passage for us royal Wonderlandians. Red's gums are inflamed because her fangs are growing in. She needs something to chew on to ease the pain."

"But what can she chew on that won't hurt her or anyone else?" Chloe asked, eager for a solution. "I'll send over some special teething toys made from enchanted wood. They’re designed to withstand the pressure and help soothe the gums. In the meantime, try giving her a cold towel or some ice to numb the pain a bit," Bridget advised.

“I really hope this works. Look at what she did to my homework,” Chloe whines, holding up her ruined notebook. “Ah yes, I remember how bad it was. I chewed right through Ella’s favorite pillow,” Bridget says with a small smile. “I’ll let you know how everything goes. Thanks again, Bridget,” Chloe smiles. “Of course, dear. And tell my little devil that I love her,” Bridget smiles. She hangs up the call and the card falls back into the deck.

With a new sense of relief, Chloe immediately prepared a cold compress out of a towel and some ice and handed it to Red, who gratefully pressed it against her aching gums.

The next day, a package arrived from Wonderland. Inside were several beautifully crafted teething toys. Red's eyes lit up with relief as she picked one up and began to chew. The enchanted wood seemed to work wonders, and the tension in her face began to ease.

Over the next few weeks, Red's teething habits gradually subsided. With Bridget's advice and the enchanted toys, Red was able to manage her discomfort without causing Chloe any more pain.

******Bonus******

“Ms. Charming, your homework?” the teacher questions as he stops at her desk. “Sir, I promise I did it. But this is what my notebook currently looks like,” Chloe sighs as she pulls out the pieces of her notebook. “Dog?” the teacher questions sympathetically. “Significant other,” Chloe corrects. The man looks at her in confusion before moving on for the homework check.

Chapter Text

Red paced restlessly around the room, her fingers twitching at her sides. She could feel the pressure building in her gums—sharp and relentless. The ache was a constant throb, an irritating reminder of her nature, her madness. Chloe watched from the bed, her eyes tracking Red’s every movement, her patience fraying as she surveyed the mess. Her belongings were scattered and chewed up, and she was struggling to keep her frustration in check.

“Red,” Chloe’s voice cut through the chaos, sharp yet controlled. “Enough. You need to stop tearing into everything. I can’t keep replacing my stuff.”

Red paused, her breath coming in ragged, frustrated bursts. “I’m sorry,” she muttered, but even as she said it, her tongue flicked over her canines, which were sharpening more each second. She could feel the itch beneath the surface, the urge to bite, to tear. It was unbearable. It was maddening.

Chloe rose from the bed, closing the distance between them in a few steps. She cupped Red’s face, forcing her to meet her gaze. “I know you’re in pain,” Chloe said, her thumb brushing gently over Red’s lips, teasing at the sharp edges of her teeth. “But this isn’t working. You’re destroying everything, and I’m at my limit. I know you’re suffering. But you need to control this. If you need to bite something, then bite me.”

Red’s eyes widened, pupils dilating at Chloe’s words. It wasn’t the first time Chloe had said something like that, but tonight there was a new edge to it—one that sent a shiver down Red’s spine. “Are you sure?” Red asked, her voice low, almost a growl, trembling with a mix of hope and desperation.

Chloe didn’t answer with words. Instead, she pushed Red backward, pressing her against the wall with a confidence that made Red’s pulse quicken. Chloe leaned in, her lips barely brushing against Red’s ear. “You’re going to listen to me,” Chloe whispered, her tone commanding. “And you’re going to make it worth my while.”

Red’s breath hitched, the challenge clear in Chloe’s eyes. The dynamic between them shifted, Chloe taking control with a confidence that left Red breathless. Chloe’s hands roamed, slipping beneath the hem of Red’s shirt, her touch light but firm—setting every nerve ablaze. Red’s instincts kicked in; her hands trembled as they gripped Chloe’s hips, holding on as if Chloe was her anchor in the storm.

“Show me,” Chloe murmured, tilting Red’s chin with her finger, her voice laced with a mix of irritation and desire. “You’ve been reckless. Show me how much you need this,” she instructed, her voice a low, commanding purr.

Red sank to her knees, her body moving on autopilot as Chloe’s fingers tangled in her hair. She pressed her face against Chloe’s thigh, inhaling the familiar scent that grounded her, the ache in her gums momentarily soothed by the closeness. Chloe guided her movements with a gentle but unyielding touch, every shift of her fingers directing Red exactly where she wanted her.

Before Red does anything, she hesitates, her eyes on Chloe’s for permission. Her lips part, and a needy whimper escapes as she waits, her body tensing with barely-contained energy. When Chloe finally nods, Red lets out a relieved growl, diving in with renewed intensity and eagerness, all hesitation gone, and sinks her fangs into a familiar thigh.

Chloe’s sharp intake of breath was all the encouragement Red needed. She pressed harder, her fangs sinking in just enough to leave a mark, a symbol of their connection. Chloe’s moan echoed in the small room, and Red knew she was doing something right.

“Good girl,” Chloe breathed, pulling Red up and kissing her with a fierce possessiveness. “Just like that, sweetheart. You’re doing so well,” Chloe breathed, her voice dripping with both praise and authoritative command.

As they continued, Chloe gently guided Red up and forward with a single finger on her chin. The blue haired girl sat her girlfriend down before climbing on her lap and wrapping her arms around the redheads neck.

“See? You’re not hurting me,” Chloe said, her breath warm against Red’s ear, voice heavy with affection. “You’re just doing what you need to do, and I’m right here with you.”

Red pulled back slightly, her lips tinged with the faintest hint of Chloe’s skin, a mix of sweetness and something raw. She looked up, her gaze half-lidded and hazy with gratitude.

Chloe brushed her thumb across Red’s cheek, a soft, soothing touch. “There’s my good girl,” she purred, kissing Red’s forehead. “Always so tough, but so sweet when it counts.”Red leaned into Chloe’s touch, her usual bravado melting under the weight of Chloe’s tender affection.

Red’s agitation had eased, replaced by an overwhelming urge to show her gratitude. Her desperation to please Chloe was palpable, her eyes wide with a feverish intensity. She was practically vibrating with eagerness, soft whines escaping her lips, her body betraying her need to make Chloe feel as incredible as possible.

Chloe, still catching her breath and surveying the chaos, raised an eyebrow as she saw Red’s frantic energy. Her belongings were still in disarray, a reminder of the frustration that lingered.

“Red,” Chloe’s voice was firm, her gaze piercing. “I can see how much you want to make up for this. But you’re going to do it right.”

Red nodded vigorously, a low growl of agreement rumbling in her throat. Her movements were a bit sloppy with her intense desire to please. “I want to show you how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me,” she said, her voice thick with longing “Please, let me.”

Chloe’s eyes gleamed with a mixture of satisfaction and controlled mockery. “Alright then,” she said, her tone laced with a teasing edge. “Show me. But you’d better make it worth it.”

Red’s hands trembled with anticipation as she hurriedly undressed Chloe, her eagerness causing her movements to be a bit clumsy. A soft, frustrated growl slipped from her lips when she fumbled, her breath was uneven, her lips slightly parted as she focused on Chloe’s exposed skin.

The redhead flipped them around so that Chloe was lying on her back, surrounded by red and black bedding. Blue hair made a halo of curls that made her girlfriend look like the angel Red knew she was. Red could feel a different type of madness clawing at her chest, one that screamed at her to pounce, take, and everything else under the sun. A low growl escaped her throat, vibrating with a mixture of need and frustration.

Chloe watched her with a mix of amusement and authority, clearly enjoying the redhead’s struggle. Red’s lips and tongue were all over Chloe’s body, her kisses almost frantic as she moved from Chloe’s neck to her collarbone, and then down to her chest. She let out soft, needy whines between kisses, her voice betraying the desperation bubbling inside her.

Chloe’s breath caught with pleasure, but she maintained a cool, mocking demeanor. “You’re so eager,” she purred, her voice dripping with a blend of teasing and command. “I can see how badly you want to make me feel good. Keep going.”

Red’s hands and mouth were relentless, her desperate need to please causing her to be almost sloppy in her attentions. She traced kisses and licks with a fervor, her eyes glazed with a mix of desire and submission. Soft growls and whimpers slipped from her lips as she moved, each sound underscoring her frantic need to satisfy Chloe. Chloe’s moans were a blend of pleasure and bemusement, her control evident as she guided Red’s movements with a firm, practiced hand.

Chloe deliberately slowed her touch, teasing Red by holding her in place and lightly tugging on her hair, a silent command to wait. Red, unable to control herself, dropped her head to Chloe’s thigh, letting out a series of plaintive whines, almost like a puppy begging for attention. She nuzzled Chloe’s skin, her lips brushing softly as she pleaded, her whines growing more insistent, high-pitched and desperate.

Chloe’s smirk only made Red’s noises more frantic, her breaths ragged with frustration and longing. The sound of Chloe’s teasing laughter drew a guttural whine from Red, a mix of impatience and raw desire that made her whole body shiver.

Chloe’s fingers traced lightly along Red’s jaw, lifting her head just enough to meet her eyes. “Oh, Bunny,” Chloe cooed, her tone mockingly sweet, “I love it when you beg. But be patient; you’ll get what you want soon enough.” Red’s whimper of acknowledgment was low and pitiful, her eyes wide as she held herself back, barely.

Chloe watched her, half amused, half impressed by Red’s sheer desperation. She finally leaned back, motioning for Red to continue, and Red practically leaped forward with renewed eagerness, a sharp, eager whimper escaping her as she resumed her task with more fervor.

“Careful,” Chloe warned, her voice low and commanding. “You’re getting a bit messy. Focus on what I want, not just your own desperation.”

Red’s eyes widened in alarm, a pitiful whine escaped her throat as she quickly pulled back, her face flushed with embarrassment. “I-I’m sorry, Clover,” she stammered, her voice breathy and broken. “I just wanted to—wanted to make you feel good. I-I didn’t mean to—” A soft whimper cut her off, the sound filled with regret.

Chloe’s gaze was both stern and amused as she gently guided Red back into position. “It’s okay, Bunny,” Chloe said, her voice a mixture of command and affection. “But you need to focus. I want to feel every bit of your devotion, but I don’t want it to be so sloppy.”

Red’s desperation was palpable as she resumed her task, her kisses growing more focused and deliberate, though still tinged with the urgency of her desire to please. Each time her lips met Chloe’s skin, Red let out a quiet growl, the sound more animal than human. Her lips and tongue were almost frantic, moving with a fervent eagerness that bordered on frantic, whines escaping her every so often as if she couldn’t contain her need.

“I’ll do better,” she murmured, her voice trembling with a mix of apology and fervent dedication. “I just want to make it right. Please, Chloe, I’ll do whatever you want.” The plea ended in a low whimper, her desperation obvious.

Chloe’s reactions were a mix of pleasure and controlled mockery, her body responding to Red’s touch as she guided Red’s head with a firm but affectionate grip. “That’s it,” Chloe encouraged, her voice dripping with authority. “Keep that energy, but remember to be precise. I want to feel every bit of you.”

Red complied with renewed fervor, her kisses and licks growing more intense as she focused on Chloe’s needs. Her efforts were almost clumsy, but her enthusiasm was undeniable. She let out a small growl of frustration when her hands fumbled, the sound low and guttural. Chloe’s breaths grew more ragged, her moans a testament to the pleasure she was receiving. She maintained a teasing tone, her hands guiding Red’s head with a mix of authority and affection.

“You’re so desperate to please,” Chloe teased, her voice both mocking and encouraging. “It’s almost adorable. Keep it up.”

As Chloe reached her climax, her moans became louder, her body arching with pleasure. Red whimpered, the sound filled with relief and satisfaction as she felt Chloe’s body respond. She pulled Red up to her and held her close, their bodies tangled in a mixture of passion and satisfaction. Chloe’s gaze softened as she looked at Red, her earlier mockery replaced with genuine warmth.

“You were almost too eager,” Chloe said with a teasing smile, her voice dripping with affection. “But you made me feel amazing. I’m proud of you.”

Red’s eyes were filled with adoration and gratitude as she looked at Chloe, her body still tingling from the intensity of their experience. A soft whine escaped her, almost like a purr of contentment. “Thank you,” Red whispered, her voice a mix of reverence and devotion. “I just wanted to show you how much I love you.”

Chloe’s smile was tender as she kissed Red deeply, the kiss a mixture of lingering dominance and soft affection. “I love you, too,” Chloe murmured against Red’s lips. “And I’m grateful for you every day.”

As they embraced, Chloe’s touch was a blend of gentle affection and possessive warmth, her hands tracing soothing patterns on Red’s back. “You’re safe with me,” Chloe murmured, her breath warm against Red’s ear. “Even when I’m in charge, you’re always loved.”

Red nestled against Chloe, feeling the ache in her gums ease, replaced by the soothing comfort of Chloe’s presence. The connection between them was deep, rooted in trust and an understanding of each other’s needs.

Chapter Text

Bridget and Ella sat at a small table in their favorite café, enjoying a leisurely lunch. The sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow on their table. As they chatted about their plans for the weekend, Bridget reached over and casually brushed her fingers against Ella’s arm while gesturing excitedly about a new activity she wanted to try. The light caress of Bridget’s fingers made Ella’s heart skip a beat, her cheeks warming slightly.

During their meal, Bridget reached over to pass Ella a napkin. Her fingers lingered on Ella’s hand for a moment longer than necessary, gently grazing her skin. The unexpected contact made Ella’s pulse quicken, and she felt a wave of warmth spread through her. She tried to focus on the conversation, but her mind was preoccupied with the feeling of Bridget’s touch.

Later that week, Bridget and Ella were studying in the library. The quiet atmosphere was punctuated by the soft rustle of pages and occasional whispers. As they sat side by side at a study table, Bridget reached over to point out something in Ella’s textbook. Her hand brushed against Ella’s, and their fingers lightly touched. The gentle contact sent a jolt of warmth through Ella, who felt her cheeks flush as she tried to maintain her composure.

As Bridget leaned closer to explain a concept, her shoulder brushed against Ella’s, and their arms touched. The closeness of their bodies and the subtle pressure of Bridget’s arm against Ella’s sent a shiver down her spine. Ella’s heart raced, and she found herself fidgeting with her pen, trying to ignore the rush of excitement from Bridget’s touch.

One afternoon, the two friends were hanging out in a common area with a group of mutual friends. Bridget, in her usual bubbly manner, decided to show off a new dance move she had learned. She stood up and pulled Ella into a quick, playful spin. As they laughed and enjoyed the moment, Bridget’s arms wrapped around Ella’s waist from behind, her touch pressing against Ella’s lower back and sides.

Ella stiffened for a moment, her face flushing deeply as Bridget’s fingers lightly traced along her sides. The intimate nature of the touch, combined with the presence of their friends, made it difficult for Ella to manage her reactions. She felt her breath hitch and her pulse quicken, struggling to keep up with the conversation while trying to hide her flustered state.

As Bridget continued to hold Ella, she gently adjusted her grip, her fingers pressing slightly more firmly against Ella’s sides. The added pressure made Ella’s heart race even faster, and she found it increasingly challenging to maintain her composure. She forced herself to smile and laugh along with their friends, but the warmth of Bridget’s touch was overwhelming.

The pink princess had tucked her face into Ella neck and it took everything for the blue haired girl not to freak out. As far as she could tell, Bridget was just nuzzling her neck but the feeling was send all types of crossed signals to Ella’s brain. Needing to get to the bottom of it, she announces that they need to go and drags Bridget back to her dorm.

“Ella?” Bridget questions softly. Brown eyes go wide in worry after her friend still doesn’t respond.

Her racing thoughts are cut off as a squeal is forced out of her when she gets pushed down into her bed. Ella’s face was a mixture of determination and frustration. She had tried to process the overwhelming feelings caused by Bridget’s affectionate touches, but now she was reaching a breaking point.

Ella took a deep breath, her frustration boiling over. “B, I need to talk to you about something. Something that’s been driving me crazy.”

Ella climbed on top of Bridget, pinning her down with a mix of determination and anxiety. She held Bridget’s wrists above her head, keeping them restrained against the mattress. Bridget’s breath hitched as she looked up at Ella, her cheeks flushing with a blend of arousal and surprise. Her eyes were half-lidded, a dopey grin spreading across her face, though there was a clear hint of panic in her gaze.

“Why do you touch me like that in front of everyone?” Ella demanded, her voice trembling slightly with a mix of anger and vulnerability. “Why do you make me feel like this when you know how much it affects me?”

Bridget’s eyes darted around, clearly flustered and overwhelmed. Her breath came in quick, shallow bursts as she tried to process the situation. “I—I didn’t mean to—” she stammered, her voice trembling. “ Oh my gosh, a pretty girl is sitting on top of me... MY pretty girl is sitting on top of me..What do I do? What can I do? ” she thinks desperately. “You look so... cute like this,” she flirts.

Ella’s grip tightened on Bridget’s wrists, her cheeks flushing a deeper shade of red as she met Bridget’s panicked gaze. “I’m serious, Bridget. I need to know why you keep doing this. It’s overwhelming and confusing.”

Ella’s grip tightened on Bridget’s wrists, her eyes locking onto Bridget’s with an intense focus. “Then why do you keep doing it? Why do you touch me like that, making me feel so... overwhelmed?”

Bridget’s panicked expression was mixed with a flirtatious edge. “It’s just... how we are in Wonderland,” she said, her voice shaky and breathless. “We use touch to show affection. I didn’t realize it was affecting you this much.”

Ella’s frustration mingled with a playful exasperation as she saw Bridget’s reaction. “It’s not just about your Wonderland ways. It’s making me feel things I can’t control. Can you please take this seriously?”

Bridget’s gaze softened, her panic fading slightly but still present. “I’m sorry, Ella. I didn’t mean to overwhelm you. It’s just... natural for me. And honestly, I don’t mind being close like this. It’s just—well, you’re kind of making me a bit flustered.”

Ella’s resolve wavered as she took in Bridget’s flustered reaction. “You’re impossible,” Ella said with a soft chuckle, finally moving off Bridget but still keeping close.

Bridget’s eyes softened, still glimmering with a flirtatious edge. “I know. And I’ll be more mindful. But you have to admit, it’s kind of nice having you so close.”

Ella’s cheeks burned, and she found herself both flustered and amused by Bridget’s reaction. “You really are something else,” she said with a soft chuckle, finally moving off Bridget but still keeping close.

Bridget sat up, her expression a mix of relief and lingering affection, her cheeks still flushed with a mix of embarrassment and excitement. “I’m glad we talked. And I promise to respect your boundaries.”

Ella nodded, her face still slightly flushed but with a sense of relief. “Thanks. Let’s just keep communicating like this, okay?”

Bridget’s expression softened with understanding. “Oh, I see. It’s actually a pretty normal thing for us in Wonderland. Physical touch is a big part of how we connect with others. It’s not just about being friendly; it’s a way of showing affection and building closeness. We’re very touch-oriented there, so I guess I didn’t think much of it. For us, touch is a way to express emotions that words can’t always capture.”

Ella listened intently, feeling a sense of relief and clarity. “That makes sense. I’m glad to understand why you’re so affectionate. It’s comforting, even if it sometimes feels a bit overwhelming.”

Bridget smiled warmly, her hand gently squeezing Ella’s. “I’m glad it’s comforting for you. I’ll always be mindful of how much touch you’re comfortable with. It’s just my way of showing that I care.”

Ella’s heart warmed at Bridget’s words, and she felt a deeper connection with her friend. As they continued their walk, the touch moments between them felt more natural and meaningful, each gesture now understood and appreciated on a deeper level.

Chapter Text

Ella was so confused how she ended up in this situation.

The day had started relatively normally for a Saturday. She woke up, did her multitude of chores, showered, got dressed, walked to the school, and found her best friend. Today the two of them were making cookies which meant Bridget was making cookies and might let Ella hold something if she was feeling generous.

“Hey, B. What’ve you got today?” she questioned as she walked up the path.

Instead of getting a response, she barely got a second to get her footing before a blur of pink crashed into her. Quiet distressed noises left Bridget’s mouth as her fingers clutched at Ella’s dress. Ella, confused, attempts to separate the two of them and is met with heavy resistance.

Ella staggered back, her eyes wide as she held onto Bridget. “Whoa, baby, hey—what’s wrong?” she murmured, her voice soft as she tried to steady her flustered friend. Bridget’s hands clutched at Ella’s clothes, her breathing uneven, her fingers trembling as though she were holding on for dear life.

“B, I can’t help if you don’t talk to me,” she says softly. Her fingers threaded through pink hair, soothing her friend just a little bit.

As Ella’s touch trailed from Bridget’s hair to the back of her neck, brushing over one of those sensitive spots, Bridget’s eyes fluttered shut, and a low, involuntary whine slipped from her lips. Her eyes snapped open, glowing a bright, hazy pink, and her fangs peeked out as she bit her lip, struggling to regain control.

“Bridget?” Ella asked, her voice tinged with concern. “You with me?”

Bridget’s entire body went rigid, her breathing quickening as she tried to pull herself out of the haze. She could feel the Wonderland madness clawing at the edges of her mind, urging her closer to Ella, urging her to give in. “Y-Yeah, I’m… I’m fine,” Bridget stuttered, her voice strained, her pink eyes flickering with barely restrained need.

Ella gently cupped Bridget’s face, her thumb brushing across Bridget’s cheek. “Hey, look at me. You’re okay, baby. Just breathe.”

Bridget nodded shakily, closing her eyes as she willed the pink glow to fade. Slowly, her breathing steadied, and she forced a nervous smile, though the fangs still lingered. “Sorry, Ella. It’s just… I’m good now.”

Ella nodded, pulling Bridget into a gentle hug. “It’s okay, B. I’m not mad—just worried about you.”

After the two made their way to the kitchen which Bridget seems to always have to herself, Ella helped Bridget prep everything before hopping up on the island.

“Chocolate chip?” Bridget questioned, holding up the bag.

“Oh definitely. Can I have a few?” Ella responds with a mischievous grin.

“You’re lucky you’re cute,” Bridget scowls playfully, feeding a chocolate chip to the blue haired girl.

The kitchen became a cozy sanctuary filled with the warm aroma of baking cookies, and Bridget seemed much more like herself as she moved around the kitchen, her pink hair thrown ip in a messy ponytail and her spirits lifted. Ella sat on the kitchen island, legs swinging, watching Bridget with a fond smile.

“You really are like a little baking fairy, you know that?” Ella teased, unable to hide her affection. “You’ve got magic hands.”

Bridget giggled, her cheeks still slightly flushed from earlier. “Oh, please. It’s just cookies.”

As the last batch went into the oven, Ella gestured for Bridget to come over, patting the space between her legs. Bridget hesitated but complied, letting Ella pull her close. Bridget leaned against the counter, her fingers gently resting on Ella’s thighs.

“Come here, baby,” Ella said softly, letting her fingers trace the line of Bridget’s jaw before drifting up to her ears and neck. The moment her touch found the familiar sensitive spots, Bridget’s reaction was immediate. Her eyes widened, glowing a bright, hazy pink, and her breath hitched as a soft gasp escaped her.

“Ella…” Bridget’s voice was a mix of a plea and a warning, her fangs faintly visible as she struggled to keep herself together. But this time, it was too much. Bridget’s resistance crumbled, and she pressed closer, her whole body melting into Ella’s touch.

“Oh Rabbits, Ella—I can’t… I need you,” Bridget’s voice was frantic, her words tumbling over each other as she nuzzled into Ella’s neck, her fangs lightly grazing Ella’s skin. “You feel so good… I can’t stop—don’t wanna stop.” Bridget’s hands roamed Ella’s waist, her touch lingering, tracing every curve as if mapping her out. “Clocks, I need you so bad.”

Ella’s face flushed as Bridget’s lips ghosted over her collarbone, her kisses needy and frantic. “B, baby, you’re—oh, wow—this is a lot,” Ella stammered, her breath hitching as Bridget’s touch grew bolder. Ella tried to pull back, but Bridget clung to her tighter, her pink eyes glazed with a heady mix of affection and unrestrained desire.

Bridget let out a flustered, airy laugh, nuzzling her face deeper into Ella’s shoulder. “Mmm, you drive me mad, baby… so mad…” Bridget mumbled, her voice a hazy mix of affection and playful flirtation. She nipped teasingly at Ella’s neck, her giggles turning soft and coy. “Can’t get enough of you.”

Ella’s heart pounded as she gently cupped Bridget’s face, forcing her to look up. “B, baby, you gotta snap out of it,” she said, her voice firm but gentle. “We’re in the kitchen, and I don’t want you to do something you’ll regret.”

Bridget blinked, trying to shake off the haze, but the feeling lingered, clinging to her like fog. Her pink eyes dimmed just enough for her to catch her breath. As she came back to herself, her cheeks flushed deep crimson, her eyes wide with embarrassment. She pulled back slightly, biting her lip as she looked up at Ella, her hands still lingering on Ella’s waist but now trembling.

“I-I’m so sorry, sweetheart,” Bridget stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. “I didn’t mean to… I didn’t mean to be so… so… I didn’t mean to lose control like that. You were..touching all the right spots.” She averted her eyes, her face burning with mortification. “I didn’t realize I’d be so… overwhelmed.”

Ella’s eyes widened in realization, her cheeks flushing deeper as she took in the weight of Bridget’s words. “Wait… that was… because of me?” she stammered, her voice a mix of surprise and embarrassment.

Bridget nodded, a sheepish smile tugging at her lips. “Yeah… You’ve got a way of… setting me off.” Bridget’s gaze softened, and she grabbed the blue haired girl’s hand, pressing a gentle, lingering kiss to her knuckles. “Sorry I lost control. It’s these special nerves us Wonderlandians have, they make us..like that. A Wonderland thing you could say it is.”

Ella laughed softly, still flustered but smiling. “It’s okay, B. It was mostly my fault. Just… maybe warn me next time?”

Bridget giggled, her usual confidence returning as she nuzzled closer. “I’ll try, Els. But hey, I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon.”

They stayed wrapped up in each other, the smell of cookies filling the air, a comforting reminder that even the most silly moments could feel like home when they were together.

Chapter Text

Bridget sat hunched over her library table, her usually vibrant demeanor clouded by frustration. She’d been working on a group project for days, and the research notes and sketches in front of her were a chaotic mess. Every attempt to organize the information seemed to make things worse, the details slipping through her fingers like sand.

Her pen flew across the pages, scribbling and crossing out in a frantic dance, but nothing seemed to fit. The project was due tomorrow, and her group members had been less than helpful, each one dropping the ball at critical moments. Bridget’s frustration was palpable, her frustration mounting with every missed deadline and unanswered message.

“Why can’t this just make sense?” she muttered, her voice strained. “Everything’s upside down and sideways. It’s like trying to catch a rabbit in a tea party!”

Ella watched from across the table, her brows knitting together in concern as Bridget’s frustration escalated. The usually calm and composed Bridget was now a whirlwind of disheveled notes and flustered energy. “Hey, Bridget? You’re kinda... losing it here. What’s going on?”

Bridget didn’t look up, her eyes scanning the notes in front of her with increasing desperation. “I’m fine, it’s just—ugh, teapot’s spilled, and the hare’s lost his hat!” she exclaimed, her words spilling out in rapid Wonderlandian. “Caterpillar’s gone mad, and the cards are all mixed up!”

Ella’s confusion deepened as she tried to decipher the jumble of words. “Wait, what? Caterpillars and tea? I’m not following...”

Bridget’s head snapped up, her cheeks flushed and her eyes wide with sudden self-awareness. She clutched her pen, nearly snapping it in her grip. “Oh rabbits, sorry! I didn’t realize I was... babbling. That was Wonderlandian,” she explained, her voice trembling. “It’s my first language. I switch to it when I’m stressed or overwhelmed. English just doesn’t work for me then.”

Ella’s brows furrowed, her gaze flickering between Bridget’s flustered face and the mess of papers. “So, when you’re talking about tea and rabbits, that’s... your way of dealing with frustration? Because I really don’t get it.”

Bridget’s shoulders relaxed slightly, and she let out a shaky laugh. “Yeah, it’s like... when everything’s spinning out of control, Wonderlandian just makes sense. It’s what I think in when I’m overwhelmed, even if it sounds like nonsense.”

Ella gave Bridget’s hand a reassuring squeeze, her own confusion mixed with a deep sense of affection. “I might not understand the words, but I get that you’re stressed. I’m here for you, no matter what language you’re speaking.”

Bridget managed a grateful smile, the weight of her frustration lightening. “Thanks. It’s a bit of a mess in my head, but I’m glad you’re here to help me untangle it.”

Ella nodded, her smile warm and encouraging. “Always. Let’s figure this out together, even if it means deciphering a bit of Wonderlandian along the way.”

Chapter Text

Chloe has never been more attracted to her girlfriend than she is in this moment.

It was a school day and as usual, Chloe was up first. Or so she thought. As she stirred, she heard something, something..delicious. Her ears perked us she subtly turned around with half lidded eyes.

“..Sì, lo capisco… ti amo, mamma..” Red murmured, her voice still riddled with sleep and her red haired tussled.

On the bed, Chloe’s face heated up as her body reacted before her brain did. The combination of Red’s morning raspiness and the seductive soothing tone of whatever language she was speaking had send all the pleasure sections of Chloe’s brain lighting up. The softness of her tone as she talked to whoever was on the other end, combined with her morning appearance sent Chloe’s brain reeling with fantasies that she couldn’t even begin to describe.

She was frozen in the bed as she took shallow breaths to calm herself. Red murmurs a few more quiet words into the phone before hanging up and turning around, only to see her girlfriend staring up at her with parted lips.

“Good morning, Clover. Ready for the day?” she questioned softly. She left a gentle kiss on Chloe’s forehead and the blue princess sputtered.

“Was that Italian? You speak Italian?” Chloe questioned in a daze. Red just chuckled with a nod and went to get dressed. “Gods, I love my girlfriend,” Chloe murmured to herself as she flopped backwards onto the bed.

The next time it happens, Chloe’s able to contain herself better. School was over and the two had retired back to their dorm to finish their homework before they had to meet with their friends. Chloe had chosen to sit on her bed since all she had to do was some reading, so Red got the desk to do her math. She was muttering to herself as the stupid Auradonian math taunted her.

She was from a place that made no sense and even that was easier to understand than this math crap. “Red queen’s rules, no balls and flamingos,” she muttered.

Chloe had looked up at the sound of her girl’s voice and saw her angrily gripping the pencil in her hand. She heard the soft growl bubble in her girlfriend’s chest as the red head erased another answer.

“Hatter’s lost his hat and the hare can’t hop. The tea can’t chirp and the flamingos sip blood,” Red grumbles. As if it would help, she bared her fangs at the paper, just to make herself feel a little better.

Chloe bit her lip at the display. The words made zero sense but Red’s rough raspiness was doing things to the blue haired princess. Seeing her practically growl at the paper, Chloe decided to step in, and hopefully get some out of it.

“Hey, boo. Whatcha talkin’ bout?” she murmured quietly in the redhead’s ear. She pressed a kiss to the special spot underneath Red’s ear and grinned as she felt the redhead lose the tension in her shoulders. “Dunno what you’re saying but it sounds hot,” she continued softly.

Red chuckled and leaned into the ministrations of her girlfriend. She hummed as the kisses on her neck became more frequent and lingered a little longer.

“Sorry, Princess. It’s Wonderlandian. It’s like Wonderlandish but it uses actual words that don’t go together,” Red explained. She closed her eyes as Chloe’s kisses turned to small suckles and let out a shaky breath. “I-I switch to it when I’m angry,” she murmured.

“Keep talking in it. Your voice sounds nice,” Chloe murmured, caught in the trance that is her girlfriend’s voice.

Red choked and sputtered for a second before regaining her cool. “If it’s got you acting like this, no can do, Princess. We’ve got stuff to do in..fifteen minutes. And while I’m sure I can deliver in less, I know you like to take your time and enjoy yourself,” she responded.

That snapped Chloe out of it, and she whacked her girlfriend in the back of the head. Red began to whine but was shut up by a deep kiss that had her clutching her chair so she didn’t fall.

“You’re right, let’s go now,” Chloe said. She trailed her hand from where it was on Red’s jaw to around her throat and to her shoulder. The redhead blinked rapidly before almost knocking her chair over as she stood up. “We can cancel. I’ll give you exactly what you want, right now. You’ve always wanted to do it on the desk,” Red bargained.

Chloe genuinely, heavily considered the offer but ultimately knew that their friends won’t let them live it down if they show up late and she’s covered in heart shaped hickies. Again. The first and last time it happened, they wouldn’t let her live it down till the marks faded away.

“No can do, Bunny. But..I’ll take you up on that offer when we get back.”, she whispered into her girlfriend’s ear. Red all but picked her up, eliciting a squeal that trails off into giggles from her girlfriend as she ran them out of the room. “At least let me get on your back so I can see!” Chloe laughed.

Red stopped and let her girlfriend hop on her back before continuing to run to Tion and Kristian’s dorm. Once they made it, Red kicked the door open and walked in like she owned the place.

“Dude! Headmaster Uma keeps getting on us about boot marks, cut it out,” Tion said. Red looked him up and down as she slowly set her girlfriend down. Realizing who he was talking to, his expression changed. “I-I mean, could you please not kick our door? We-we’d really appreciate it,” he stammered.

Chloe took her girlfriend’s hand and that distracted the redhead long enough for Tion to slip away. “Glad you two made it. I was losing brain cells ‘cause of these two,” Melody joked.

“It’s good to see you, Mels. I had wanted to talk to you about this bag I saw the other day,” Chloe said excitedly, already pulling the bag up on her phone. The two princesses were fashion lovers at heart and everyone knew it. Although Chloe was no stereotypical princess, shoes and purses were her weakness. Red would know, she always carried Chloe’s shopping bags.

“Hey, fire top. You’re on music, your playlist is the best,” Kristian said. Red, who was in the middle of eating a cupcake that looked too inviting to ignore, nodded her acknowledgment and headed over to the speaker. She plugged her phone in and hit play on her art playlist. The music took over the room and everyone fell into relaxation.

Red had joined Chloe and Melody on the couch and was resting her head on Chloe’s shoulder. The first song ends and the second began to play. Chloe’s ears perked up at the sound of low and seductive Spanish vocals that floated around the room.

“Damn fire top, some spicy music, huh?”, Kristian joked.

Red shrugged, her eyes half-lidded as she lazily began to hum along. Chloe watched her girlfriend lips faintly move, every word rolling off her tongue with sleek, effortless, sleepy grace. The low tones of Red’s voice combined with the Spanish lyrics sent a pleasant shiver down Chloe’s spine.

And then, Red started singing.

Her voice was deep, raspy from the sleepiness creeping up on her, but there was something about the way she formed each word-each syllable -that makes Chloe’s body respond before her brain could catch up. Her pulse quickened and she gulped as heat crawled up her neck, and her thoughts spiraled into ones she definitely shouldn’t have been having in front of their friends .

Calm down, Chloe. It’s just your undeniably attractive girlfriend singing in one of the most undeniably attractive languages, fluently ,” Chloe thought to herself. Although her mind processed the words, her body didn’t listening in the slightest.

Red, unaware of how affected her girlfriend is continued to sing along. “Me pierdo en tu mirada, no puedo escapar…” she sung, her lips barely moving, her voice soft but precise. Her eyes were closed as if she was singing herself a lullaby.

Chloe shook her head to try and rid herself of these thoughts. She should’ve been focusing on Melody and their conversation about the bag but the way Red was just effortlessly singing along with no trouble made it difficult for the youngest Charming’s mind not to reach..R rated places. Her control slipped and suddenly she was imagining what it would feel like to have that same soft, raspy voice whispering to her in Italian as featherlight kisses are placed against her neck.

Or better yet, the way Red would passionately murmur those same Spanish words against her neck, soft and breathy…

Chloe shook herself out of that one, and blinked rapidly to partially clear her head more. “ Get it together, Charming. Not in public! ” she scolded herself, mentally hoping to calm herself down.

But Red’s voice kept pulling her back under the wave of aroused thoughts.

Without realizing, Chloe had leaned closer, her lips stopping at Red’s ear. “You sing really well. I didn’t know you spoke Spanish,” she murmured in her girlfriend’s ear, her voice tinged with a certain undertone.

Red opened one eye and peeked up at the blue haired girl with a lazy grin. “You like?” she questioned simply, just now realizing the affect she had on her girlfriend.

“More than like, boo. And you’re going to do something about it,” Chloe responded, her tone final. “Hey guys? We have to go. Red promised her mom a phone call tonight and it’s almost that time,” she lied effortlessly. With a stretch, she stood up, pulling her girlfriend up with her, and bid goodbye to their friends.

Their friends bid them goodbyes as they leave and Red looks at Chloe with a smug grin. The two had made it back to their dorm and Chloe wasted no time pushing Red in as she locked the door behind them.

“You think you’re so funny,” the blue haired girl commented as she pushed her girlfriend onto the bed. “You think you can just not tell me you speak a stupid amount of hot sounding languages around me and expect me to not react?” she continued as she climbed on top of the redhead.

Red had lost her smug expression and was now staring up at her girlfriend, completely starstruck. She stammered as if she couldn’t get words out before her eyes darted to the side. Chloe, who had noticed, took the redheads face in her hands and tilted her head back up.

“What are you thinking about?” she questioned softly.

“I didn’t know you didn’t know multiple-languages as you call them. It’s Wonderland tradition to learn as many tongues as you can. Surface tongue was the last language I learned so that’s why I switch, it’s easier to express myself,” Red explained, her eyes closed.

“Wait, so you know all these languages and what’s surface tongue?”, Chloe questioned, more eager to learn.

“Surface tongue is what you call English. Remember, Wonderland is up, down and all around, but geo-gro-what’s the surface word for like, around the planet and stuff?” Red questioned, cutting off her soon to be frustrations.

“Oh, you mean geographically?” Chloe responded, a little unsure of her own thoughts.

“Yeah! So geo-geographically, Wonderland is underneath, so we call everything above it, the surface. Surface tongue or English is harder than any languages in Wonderland. There’s so much order and so many rules,” Red continued, her thoughts coming out more clearly now.

After thinking about it for a second, Chloe nodded in agreement. English did have a lot of rules and regulations compared to a lot of languages, especially from a place that was founded off of a lack of rules.

“So you’re saying that English was the last language you learned?” she asked, in awe of how her girlfriend was apparently multilingual.

“It was. Now I’m leaning a way to talk with my hands. It makes little to no sense so it’s very easy for my Wonderlandian mind. I planned on introducing to my mom the next time I go to Wonderland so we can get it taught to all the people,” Red corrected, her hands coming up demonstrate.

“Oh, I know that one! It’s called ASL, or Auradonian Sign Language. It’s for people that can’t hear,” Chloe said happily. Her and her girlfriend both knew a language, now it was kinda if cute.

“Hm, I didn’t know it had a name. I just know headmaster Uma had told me I owed her for spray painting lockers around school so she told me I had to join another club if I didn’t want her to call my mom,” Red shrugged, an air of indifference around her.

“Leave it to you to learn a new language to keep out of trouble,” Chloe teased, the smile on her face betraying her serious tone. “What am I gonna do with you?” she added on playfully.

“Kiss me and love me forever?” Red filled in with a cheeky smile.

“If you insist,” Chloe grinned as she leaned in for a kiss.

“Now, I remember I was promised some fun on a desk. Would you happen to know anything about that, Ms. Charming?” Red questioned as she stood up.

Chloe let out an excited squeal as she’s picked up and set down on the desk. “I might know a few things,” she answered, her brown eyes sparkling with mischief.

Red’s hands roamed up and down Chloe’s back, her touch sending shivers down Chloe’s spine. Chloe’s heart raced, caught between anticipation and the lingering thrill of the earlier teasing.

“Hey, Clover?” Red’s voice was softer now, filled with a mix of affection and a hint of mischief.

Chloe’s gaze, already lost in the sensation of Red’s touch, snapped back to her girlfriend’s face. “Hm?” she hummed, her voice breathless as she tried to focus through the haze of warmth spreading through her body.

Red leaned in close, her lips ghosting over Chloe’s neck, planting soft kisses over sensitive skin. She could feel her girlfriend’s pulse pick up, could hear the hitch in her breath. It fueled the redheads inner fire, the desire to completely unravel Chloe.

In a low, sultry whisper, Red spoke, her voice like velvet. “Sei la mia luce, il mio cuore… il mio tutto,” she murmured, her breath hot against Chloe’s already sensitive skin.

Chloe’s brain short-circuited at the sound of Red’s voice, the sensual cadence of the Italian words washing over her like a tidal wave. Her hands gripped Red’s shoulders, her mind struggling to keep up with the intensity of the moment. The words felt like a gentle caress, even though she didn’t understand them fully, it made her heart pound in her chest.

Red, sensing Chloe’s reaction, pulled back just enough to meet her girlfriend’s gaze. She smirked, her eyes dark with desire as she watched her girlfriend struggle to compose herself. “What’s wrong, Charming? Didn’t expect that, did you?” she teased, her voice still carrying that irresistible, honeyed tone.

Chloe just stared at her, wide-eyed, trying to process what just happened. She felt like she was drowning in the overwhelming presence that was her girlfriend. “W-What…What did you just say?” she finally managed to stammer out, her voice shaky, filled with her desperation to know.

Red chuckled softly, leaning in to whisper into her girlfriend’s ear, her lips brushing against it teasingly. “I said, ‘You are my light, my heart…my everything.’”

Chloe’s breath hitched, her heart swelling at the words, the passion and sincerity in Red’s eyes and tone, completely disarming the blue haired girl. She couldn’t hold herself back anymore. In a swift motion, she captured Red’s lips in a fervent kiss pouring all her emotions, her love, and her desire into it.

Red melted into the kiss, her earlier confidence composure fading as Chloe took control, her own heart reacting as she could feel her girlfriend’s emotions through the kiss. She had originally meant to tease, and play around, to throw her girlfriend off balance, just a little, and now she found herself lost in the moment, the taste of Chloe’s lips overwhelming her senses.

Chloe pulled back, her eyes filled with fiery determination. She looked at Red, who was equally breathless and affected. “You…you’re so going to pay for that, Red”, Chloe whispered, her voice trembling from how hot she was, her threat laced with a playful undertone.

Red smirked, though her usual confidence was softened by the thumbs gently massaging her neck. The hazy look in her eyes only thickened as she looked at her girlfriend with all the love she could muster. “I’ll hold you to that, Charming,” she whispered back, playful but tenderly as she leaned in for another kiss.

Chapter Text

Chloe was well aware that hearts was Red’s motif, seeing as it was quite literally the redheads’s family name. She just wasn’t prepared for exactly how big of a part hearts played in her girlfriend.

She had started noticing things a few weeks back.

For once, neither she nor Red had anything to do so they were hanging out in their dorm.

They were in Chloe’s bed, separate but together. Chloe was paging through a book she had been reading and Red was engrossed in her sketchbook, the sound of her pencil scraping along the page providing some light background noise.

“What time is it, boo?” Chloe questioned, her voice popping her girlfriend’s little bubble of focus.

Red stared into space for a second, no doubt consulting her internal clock.

“About 6:30. Why, is there somewhere you need to be?” Red answered, tucking her pencil in her sketchbook to keep the page.

Chloe chuckled, the sound bringing a smile to her girlfriend’s face.

“Nope. I wanted to know because I was wondering if we had some time for a nap before dinner,” Chloe replied, sticking her bookmark in the book to keep her page. “Were you trying to get rid of me? Some girlfriend you are,” she continued, her tone teasing.

Red sat up as well, stretching her arms above her head. The red haired rebel was in a red cropped top and some black joggers and her girlfriend couldn’t love it more. She had a perfect view of the redhead’s toned stomach.

Red, noticing where her girlfriend’s eyes were lingering, smirked and tilted her head. “Like what you see, Clover? You seem to have a staring problem,” she teased.

Chloe grinned and stepped closer. Since Red was still sitting Chloe had to look down at her. “And so what if I do? Can you blame me? You look so good, boo,” Chloe responded, her tone bordering on lustful.

Red’s grin widened as her girlfriend stepped between her legs, the redhead’s hands came up to rest on her girlfriend’s waist. Chloe cupped Red’s face in her hands, perfectly manicured blue nails coming up to stroke Red’s cheekbones.

In her position, Chloe had the perfect angle to just admire Red in. Those mesmerizing hazel eyes with little red flecks in them that caught the light, her nose with that simple golden hoop accessorizing it, her usually red painted lips, now bare as they curved into a smile, those adorable heart shaped freckles—wait, heart shaped freckles?

Without realizing it, Chloe gripped her girlfriend’s face tighter and pulled it closer to inspect it. Right there, dusting Red’s cheeks, were little heart shaped freckles. They were scattered, some sideways, some upside down and some right side up. They were on both cheeks, some even were on her nose.

“Uh, Chlo?” Red called, confused. She thought she was about to get an awesome make out sesh, not have her face examined. “Baby? What are you doing?” she tried again after the blue haired princess had still yet to answer her.

That seemed to snap Chloe out of it and the girl decided to file away her new discovery and focus on the task at hand. She’s only a teenage girl after all.

The next instance came when the two were caught having a moment by their friends.

The two were sitting in the courtyard hanging out. Red was sitting on the table, her usual black boots resting on the bench below. Chloe was standing in front of her, passionately talking about a book she read and how it was so life changing.

Red was listening but she was also taking advantage of the opportunity to admire her girlfriend. The way her blue hair caught the sun and looked like it was glowing, how her beautiful brown eyes sparkled as she recalled her favorite parts, how her hands made big gestures to help her fully express herself. To Red, her girlfriend was the picture of perfection.

Without realizing, the redhead was wearing a genuine smile. Not her usual little smirk, a full smile, one that was only reserved for her girlfriend. The one that made her dimples pop out.

From across the courtyard, Melody was walking in with Tion when they spotted the couple. Melody motioned for her friend to be quiet before pulling out her phone. She took a sneaky picture and chuckled before sending it to Chloe with a little winky face attached.

Chloe felt her phone buzz and excused herself before pulling it out to check it. She opened the message from Melody and grinned at the sight. Red was looking at her with so much love and had the most adorable smile on her face. She didn’t even know her girlfriend had dimples but they were so prominent in the picture.

Upon looking closer, she had discovered that Red’s dimples were heart shaped? Chloe looked closer, her eyes narrowing as she tried to make sure she wasn’t imagining things. Right there in the picture, Red had heart shaped dimples on display.

“Is your phone more interesting than finishing the story? You saying I’m boring, Charming? Way harsh,” Red tease, her voice holding no real bite.

“Of course not, boo,” Chloe responded, a smile taking over her features. She dove back into her story, after making sure she saved the picture.

The last instance was Chloe’s favorite.

The two were once again in their dorm, bed rotting together. Chloe’s Swords and Shields match had been cancelled and Red didn’t feel like going out to cause her usual chaos, especially not when her beautiful girlfriend was laying in bed with her hair up in a messy bun, wearing one of Red’s oversized shirts.

The redhead had no qualms about being used as her girlfriend’s pillow, mostly because that meant her girlfriend was laying on top of her.

Though Chloe loved being active and getting things done, she cherished those days where she could be lazy and just be with her girl. Her eyes were closed but she wasn’t asleep, just resting and enjoying the sound of Red's ticking heartbeat. To think that the ticking that  once drove Chloe up the wall was now something she found so much comfort in was baffling but this is her new normal.

Red was just silently admiring her girlfriend. Her right arm was loosely thrown over Chloe’s waist, keeping her in place, while her left hand was tracing patterns on the back of her girlfriend’s thigh. The Wonderlandian heir couldn’t believe how lucky she was. She had been given the chance to date this absolute goddess and all she had to do was threaten to feed her to the Jabberwocky and call her annoying.

Red thought back to when they first began dating. Everything was awkward and new and just..innocent. She was so afraid of messing up. All her life she was raised to believe that love was nothing but a weakness, something that would be her downfall. She held herself back a lot at first. She was still learning surface tongue and didn’t want to say the wrong thing so she often sat quietly. She had quickly learned her love language was physical touch but she didn’t want to annoy Chloe and seem clingy so she let Chloe initiate.

Through all the awkwardness and the shyness, Chloe was there. Her bluey, her lucky clover, the love of her life.

Chloe’s rest was disturbed when the calm, measured ticking of Red’s heart sped up erratically. Her eyes popped open and she sat up confused. She had thought something was wrong with Red but she could now see the dopey smile taking over the redhead’s face.

Red grabbed one of Chloe’s hands that was resting on her stomach and brought it up to her lips to press a kiss to it.

“I love you, Chloe,” Red commented, her voice soft.

Chloe smiled and looked down at her girlfriend, hoping to meet her eyes. The moment they did she let out a gasp.

“Not the reaction I hoped for…,” Red commented dryly.

“Oh! I love you too, boo, always. But I was just surprised when I saw your eyes. Your pupils, they’re heart shapes,” Chloe responded, the smile on her face growing.

Seeing Red’s confused look, the younger princess grabbed her phone and snapped a picture.

“You have literal heart eyes for me!” Chloe squealed. She did a little dance with her shoulders, being mindful of her position.

She turned her phone and the redhead’s eyes widened. She thought her girlfriend was joking but sure enough, her pupils were little hearts.

“Oh, I forgot that could happen,” she commented offhandedly.

Chloe gasped as if her girlfriend offended her. “You knew that it could happen? How?” she questioned, her excitement palpable.

“It’s a Wonderland thing. Or well, a royal Wonderland thing. Y’know, my whole thing is hearts, future queen of hearts and whatnot. It’s not just a name though. Hearts are literally in my blood,” Red explained, her tone casual as if she wasn’t talking about the most amazing and adorable thing Chloe had ever seen. “I’m pretty sure some other things on me are hearts too,” she added, seemingly lost in thought.

“You’re right. You have the cutest heart shaped freckles. And dimples. Oh my gods, you’re so cute!” Chloe exclaimed, leaning down to kiss the redhead senseless.

When they pulled apart, Red had this little dazed smile on and the hearts in her eyes were bigger and her dimples were popping out. Chloe smiled and pressed another quick kiss to her lips.

“You, Red of Hearts, will never fail to amaze me,” Chloe murmured against her lips.

Chapter Text

Ella was incredibly concerned.

It was already the third class of the day, and still no Bridget.

That was enough of a red flag on its own, but when Ella finally tracked Bridget down to her dorm, she realized just how bad things were.

The room was a disaster .

Bite marks covered nearly every wooden surface—the bedposts, the desk, the edges of the bookshelf. A pillow lay shredded in the corner, stuffing spilling out like a crime scene. Even Bridget’s favorite sweater looked like it had been through battle, sleeves frayed and damp with what Ella really hoped wasn’t drool.

But the worst part?

Bridget was hiding.

Ella crouched by the bed, heart aching at the sight of her girl curled up underneath, arms wrapped around her knees. Pink hair a mess, wide eyes glistening, her sharp little fangs poking over her bottom lip as she trembled .

“B,” Ella called softly. “Come here, baby.”

Bridget whimpered but didn’t budge. “I… I can’t,” she mumbled. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”

Ella frowned, reaching out. “You’re not sick, are you?”

Bridget shook her head frantically. “No! Just—” She squeezed her eyes shut. “I had to chew something, and then I couldn’t stop, and now I ruined everything, and I thought—” Her voice broke. “I thought you’d be mad.”

Oh, Bri .

Ella sighed, slipping her hand under the bed. “Come here, please?”

Bridget hesitated before slowly reaching out. The second their fingers touched, Ella gently pulled her into her arms, cradling her against her chest.

“I could never be mad at you,” Ella murmured, rubbing soothing circles into her back. “You’re okay, B. We’ll figure it out.”

Bridget sniffled. “…Promise?”

Ella pressed a kiss to her temple. “Promise.”

And so, they cleaned up the dorm together—Bridget anxiously chewing her sleeve the whole time, Ella giving her reassuring touches every so often.

But by the time they finished, Ella had come to one very clear conclusion.

Bridget could not be left alone.

Which was why, the next day, Ella was babysitting .

Full-time.

Bridget stuck to her side like glue, but Ella still kept a sharp eye on her. The girl had a problem , and Ella was determined to keep her from gnawing on anything that wasn’t meant to be chewed.

For a while, it worked.

Until the library.

Ella had just settled into a book when she heard the telltale sound of splintering wood .

Her stomach dropped .

Slowly, she turned her head.

And there was Bridget.

Absolutely going to town on the library table.

Ella’s brain short-circuited. “ BRIDGET!

Bridget jumped , fangs still buried in the wood, her eyes wide and guilty.

Ella rushed over, prying her off. “Oh my god , B, what are you doing?!”

Bridget shrank in on herself. “I—I couldn’t help it! It was right there ! And my teeth hurt and—” She flailed, completely panicked. “I-I didn’t mean to, I swear, please don’t be mad—”

Ella exhaled, pinching the bridge of her nose. “ Bri.

Bridget whimpered, looking two seconds from bursting into tears. “I’m sorry, Ellie…”

Ella sighed , tilting Bridget’s chin up. “I’m not mad at you, B. Just… concerned .”

Bridget sniffled. “…Really?”

Ella gave her a look . “You think I’d get mad at you for something you can’t control ?”

Bridget looked down, picking at her sleeve. “I dunno… I did almost eat a table.”

Ella grimaced. “Yeah, well. You are being a little bit of a menace.”

Bridget groaned, flopping into her arms. “I knew it.”

Ella smirked, squeezing her waist. “So… are you gonna tell me what’s going on?”

Bridget fidgeted before mumbling, “I think I’m… teething.”

Ella blinked. “Teething.”

Bridget gave a small nod. “My fangs finally grew in all the way, and now my gums ache , and if I don’t bite something, it drives me crazy .”

Ella exhaled, shaking her head. “Okay. Alright. We can handle this.”

Bridget peeked up at her. “… We ?”

Ella rolled her eyes but smiled. “Obviously we . You think I’m just gonna let my cupcake suffer?”

Bridget’s face lit up. “Ellieee, you’re the best.”

Ella smirked, pulling her toward the exit. “Yeah, yeah. Now, let’s get you a proper chew toy before you start snacking on chairs next.”

Bridget gasped. “Ooooh! Can I get one shaped like a cupcake? For the aesthetic ?”

Ella groaned. “You’re impossible .”

Bridget just beamed.

Later that night, Ella was exhausted .

Bridget had her chew necklace, a backup stim toy, strict instructions to not eat school property, and everything was fine .

Or so Ella thought .

She had a feeling that something would happen so she decided to crash in Bridget’s dorm for the night just in case. She had just settled in bed when she heard a soft, muffled chewing .

She sighed. “B, what now ?”

Silence.

Ella turned—

And there, curled up beside her under the blankets, was Bridget.

And she was chewing Ella’s sleeve .

Ella blinked .

Bridget froze , caught mid-bite . Slowly, so slowly, she let go, eyes wide with guilt. “…This isn’t what it looks like?”

Ella looked at the damp spot on her sweater. Then back at Bridget.

She sighed, flopping onto her pillow. “Bridget. Seriously ?”

Bridget pouted, hugging her pillow. “It’s comfy ,” she mumbled. “And it smells like you.”

Ella groaned, covering her face with the blanket. “You’re so lucky you’re cute.”

Bridget giggled, wiggling closer. “Sooo… can I keep chewing your sleeve?”

Ella peeked out. “Go to sleep, B.”

Bridget hummed, nuzzling into her. “Love you, Ellie.”

Ella sighed but pulled her close. “Love you too, baby.”

Bridget beamed, happily dozing off—Ella’s sleeve still in her hands.
