Chapter Text
There was no love lost between Heesung and Jaekyung. It was no secret, and the actor couldn’t care less about the latter’s birthday celebration. His new fuck buddy, however, was enchanted with the champion and was looking forward to the party.
And this annoyed him.
For some reason.
“ He’s not even my type .” He told himself as he fidgeted with his phone.
To be honest, Heesung was a little offended that Yoongu was still so infatuated with Jaekyung when he was right there. It wasn’t that he liked the young athlete, but his pride was wounded to think he favoured someone like Jaekyung over him. Could he not see that he was a hundred times better?!
“I’m gorgeous, amazing in bed, I let him stay the night then cook breakfast in the morning.” He enumerated his great feats to himself. “What else does he need?!”
It made absolutely no sense.
And so, he decided that he would be petty tonight. The young athlete may be a fool, but he was an honest one. He had promised Heesung he’d take responsibility for him, and not once had he failed to uphold his end of the bargain.
“ Tonight? ” He hit send.
Heesung stared at his screen for a whole minute, waiting for the notification letting him know that Yoongu had read the text. It took a moment for him to realise what he was doing, but when he did, he jumped to his feet, throwing his phone on the couch.
He wasn’t the type to wait around for a booty call, if Yoongu didn’t come it didn’t matter, he had other things to do.
“Fuck’s sake!” He cursed. “I’ll just go out and find someone else to hook up with, he’s not that special!”
Determined not to care, he went to take a shower. His plans for the night would be going out, having a drink, flirting a little and then going home with a pretty boy. That’s the kind of man he had always enjoyed being with, pretty, delicate, soft spoken. Not the short tempered, loud and not-so-cute kind, like Yoongu was.
“He’s really not that cute.” He said out loud, like he was trying to justify himself.
Although…
It was kinda adorable how honest he was in bed, how flushed his skin got, and how the bratty attitude left way for soft pleas and eagerness.
Heesung chuckled. “Yeah, in his own way he’s kinda…” He slapped a hand on his mouth to stop himself.
“It’s the situation that is funny, that’s all .”
He turned the water colder to keep his head straight. God, he was being weird today.
He got out of the shower, a towel around his waist, but instead of going straight to his bedroom, he took a detour to the living room to retrieve his phone. His heart skipped a bit when he saw he had a text.
“ I’m busy, tonight .”
He huffed, not believing his eyes. Was he really going to flake on him now?! Just because of Jaekyung’s stupid birthday! It’s not like he would be his last, the athlete didn’t even like celebrating it!
He dialled the number before he could think about what he was doing, too angry to realise how unlike him he was acting.
Yoongu answered after the third tone.
“Yes?”
Heesung noted the athlete sounded out of breath, much like how he did when he was tangled in the sheets with him. He got lost in the happy memories, until Yoongu repeated himself a little louder.
“Why can’t you come?” He asked. “What’s so important that you wouldn’t hold your promise?”
“Oh…” Yoongu sounded surprised that he had called him for that. “We’re going out to celebrate Jaekyung hyung’s birthday tonight.” He explained. “I told you about it, didn’t I?”
He had, but Heesung didn’t feel like playing along.
“I don’t think so.” He sighed. “I guess you’re not coming, then?”
There was silence on the line.
“Do you really need me?”
Not really, but the actor wasn’t about to admit that. Plus, their deal was that Yoongu would come over whenever he called, so he wasn’t the one in the wrong, technically. He was.
“I want to go to the party but if you need me, I won’t.”
Heesung should be happy he was getting what he wanted, but somehow, he was annoyed. Should the choice really be this difficult, between him and Jaekyung? First Dan, then Yoongu. What did they even see in the champion?!
“I’m feeling under the weather.” He heard himself say.
There was another pause on the line, and he internally cursed himself for saying that. It’s not like this would change anything, their deal was strictly about sex. Who went out of their way to take care of their fuck buddies outside of after care?
“Ok, I’ll be there in two hours.”
Heesung blinked in surprise.
“I’m closing the gym today so I can’t leave earlier. Send me your passcode, so you don’t have to get up and open the door for me.”
“Um… sure. I’ll see you later, then?”
“Yeah, see ya.”
The athlete cut the call and Heesung stood in the middle of his living room, stunned. Yoongu had agreed so easily in the end. He slapped his cheeks to stop them from grinning.
Now wasn’t the time to be happy, he had two hours to make it look convincing that he was sick.
