Chapter Text

The moon.

Our beloved natural satellite, this celestial body has been an object of fascination since the beginning of times; orbiting our blue planet at a distance of approximately 384,400 kilometers, its presence not only illuminates our dark nights but also has the gift of influencing the tides, thus shaping a beautiful marine ecosystem.

It also plays a fundamental role in stabilizing the axis of rotation, helping to maintain stable climates and....

-Ah, Bubba! -Hoppy interrupted with a grunt as he sat down on the grass. -I just asked how the moon was formed, not a thesis.

Bubba Bubbaphant, whose owner's name was a cyan-colored elephant wearing a light bulb pendant, scratched the back of his neck as a rueful smile spread across his face.

In a small glade that opened up in the heart of the forest and the grass spread out next to several colorful flowers, a small group of friends were slightly interrupting the silence of the night with their laughter and voices, their reason for being together at night is because of a unique astronomical event.

-Ah, what a thrill! -Exclaims Dogday, an orange-coated dog whose muzzle and belly were dyed yellow, while his droopy ears, hands, feet and the left side of his face were reddish brown. On his neck rested a sun pendant. -I can't wait to see the rain stars!

-I wonder if they can grant us wishes. -A little red bear whose name was Bobby BearHug spoke, her hands, feet, torso and the inside of her ears were a light pink, on her neck hung a heart charm.

-Uh... Crafty, I don't think it's a good idea to draw at night. -Said a little pig with an apple pendant, in her hooves she held her sandwich.

The unicorn in response, lets out a slight hum in affirmation. -Just let me finish the sketch, Picky. - She says without looking up from her notebook.

Picky, for his part, shrugs his shoulders before finally devouring his midnight lunch.

-Bubba, my dear friend. -Now says a yellow chicken as he rests his sunglasses on the top of his head. -Wouldn't it be amazing if a piece of a star fell to earth?

-Hmm... Well Kickin, it all depends on the size of the meteorite. -The wearer of the light bulb charm answers. - For example, if it's a small one it probably won't do much damage and will go unnoticed as a rock here in the forest, if it's a medium one it could form a crater or damage one of our homes, as for the big ones....

-Anyway, wouldn't it be amazing if a star fell to earth? -Kickin ignores his elephant friend.

-Speaking of stars, look! -Bobby exclaims, pointing to the night sky.

The group looks up, small sparkles begin to appear in the sky until they become comets that travel across the night sky, the eyes of the Critters shine at the spatial spectacle, each one reflecting a different feeling:

Peace, inspiration, awe, wonder, hope....

Love

As the star shower ended, the group began to disperse, each taking their own way home leaving Dogday, who is the last to walk home, satisfied. The door opens with a soft creak, letting the moonlight illuminate the small living room, with a happy sigh he walks inside closing the door behind him, crosses the living room and walks up the stairs to the entrance of his bedroom.

Without wasting time, the solar canine lies down on the bed, adjusting his body to the soft quilt, finally, he takes the blanket and covers his body feeling the warmth of the fabric.

-Another day, another smile. -The happy canine murmurs as he stares at his window.Tiredness catches up with him, slowly his eyelids close until he lets himself be carried away to the land of dreams.

What no one knows is that, a comet had been left behind, it seemed that the earth's gravity had pulled it, because it was approaching dangerously fast towards the solar dog's house, its descent left traces of stars behind it and if you paid attention, it seemed to have the silhouette of something... or someone. This was no an ordinary comet.

Hello!!

Wow, it's been a while since I wrote original stories.(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Anyway, I hope you like this prologue.

And a small announcement, now that i'm in the last year of university, it's probably that the chapters will take longer than normal to be published, so I ask for a lot of patience.

That would be all for now, thanks for reading and see you in the next chapter ;D
