Summary:

Just a story of Sam Loomis- Macher's life from the first 24 hours of her life.

Notes:

I've been wanting to do this for ages, just having a few chapters into Sam's early life.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Sam Loomis- Macher

Chapter Text

The first twenty-four hours of Sam’s life had been eventful to say the least, Billy and Stu were not prepared at all. They were released from the hospital a few hours after her birth and walking out of the hospital not being pregnant felt great. But seeing Stu carrying Sam in the car seat felt surreal.

She looked tiny, although she didn’t exactly feel tiny when he was pushing her out. Their lives would change for good as soon as they walked out of here. Stu’s parents had been excited to meet their new granddaughter and were happy to babysit whenever.

Stu placed Sam in the backseat, she made such cute cooing noises which melted his heart. She really did look like a good mix of them, but had more of Billy’s features. He couldn’t wait to what fatherhood brought.

Billy sat next to Sam to keep her safe, as much as he bitched in pregnancy and birth, this was still his little girl. He was so sore when he sat and winced in pain. Stu looked concerned “I’m fine Stu, this is normal. I mean a few hours ago I was pushing her out”

Stu just shrugged and got into the driver’s seat, “Ready for our new lives?”

Billy sighed but smiled “Ready as I’ll ever be”

They entered the house, and sat Sam down. They sat on the couch and just stared at her, “Why does this feel weird?”

Stu laughed “I know what you mean, it doesn’t feel real that we’re parents

Billy nodded, looking down at a sleeping Sam. She looked so cute in the outfit that Stu had picked out while he was only six months pregnant.

“They did say that when the baby sleeps, we should sleep and I feel as if I could sleep for days

Billy went upstairs he just knew going to the toilet was going to be painful, he was bleeding which apparently was normal. Postpartum wasn’t going to be easy that’s for sure, his stomach was still there, he looked like he was six months pregnant still. He knew from the midwife that he could also breastfeed, but was he going to? Did it make him feel like less of a man? He shook his head

He had a warm shower, the water felt great, his chest was heavy and don’t even talk about what’s going on downstairs. He dried himself and got into some pyjama’s that Stu’s parents had bought him last Christmas. He got into bed, it was finally great that he didn’t have a seven-pound baby kicking his organs or making him pee every five minutes.

Billy woke up to a crying Sam and Stu rocking her gently, he was in the nursery looking defeated, Billy felt bad that he had been asleep for so long.

“Stu give her to me, get yourself to bed”

Stu did look exhausted but he was hesitant to let her go “I think she’s hungry, let me make some formula” But before he could Billy stepped in the way

“No, I think I’ll feed her”

Stu looked confused “You want to breastfeed her?”

Billy nodded “it saves money”

Stu was honestly too tired to care at this point, he placed Sam in Billy’s arms and walked out, Billy sat down on the rocking chair they had bought. Sam was still crying, so billy pulled his shirt up and let Sam explore she soon found his nipple and began sucking.

The sensation was really fucking weird, but in some odd way he enjoyed it. He stared down at his baby girl, it certainly felt surreal that he enjoyed taking lives and here he was sat down with a life he had created.

Sam had finished which meant she needed to burp, he patted her tiny back and she let out the cutest burp. Which made him laugh, “Oh Sam, you are very cute, you already have your papa wrapped round your little finger. To say I wasn’t up for the idea of pregnancy or kids, you’re certainly better than I thought”

He laid her down on the changing mat, she really was a cute baby. Her legs were kicking all around and it made Billy smile, it really was much better seeing the kicks from the outside and not having to deal with them.

He dressed her up and laid her gently in the crib, kissing her little forehead. “Just try not to wake me up too much”

But she did, and Billy couldn’t stay mad at his baby girl.

Chapter 2: Grandparents

Summary:

Stu's parents meet Sam

Notes:

Stu and Billy are so freaking domestic its melting my heart

Chapter Text

Sam was a few weeks old when Stu’s parents came over to meet her, Billy’s mom still hadn’t tried to contact him which he felt a bit shit about. He couldn’t exactly blame his mom for not wanting to be around in this area, and that’s exactly why he took revenge out on Sidney.

Stu had dressed Sam in the cutest outfits, she was five weeks old and still looked so tiny.

“She’s gorgeous!” Stu’s mom shrieked

“Isn’t she just mom, I can’t believe we created something so beautiful”

Stu’s father smiled, they were young parents but that didn’t matter, Sam was well looked after and that’s all that mattered.

“Do you want to go to your grandpa sweetpea?” Stu asked Sam in a cutesy voice, and then kissing her forehead.

Stu’s mom sat next to Billy on the couch “How was the birth?”

Billy shrugged “It was painful, and I felt sore for days. But it was quite easy getting her out even though I complained a lot”

She smiled “Yes well, Stu and his sister were also very painful so I feel you there”

They both laughed, Billy wasn’t usually the one for families, but Sam needed to have a bond with her grandparents at least.

Sam started to cry and Billy had actually learnt what her cries meant; this one was hunger. He was embarrassed to feed in front of anyone, it had taken two weeks before he felt semi comfortable doing it in front of Stu.

Stu’s father handed Sam to Billy, who then took her upstairs, she was a champ at finding the nipple straight away, it still felt odd, but these were the moments he enjoyed the most. Just him and Sam, well it had been just him and Sam for nine months but this was different.

Meanwhile, Stu was downstairs with his parents, “Is Billy okay son? He doesn’t have that condition, does he?”

“Postpartum depression? No, he’s fine, he just doesn’t like breastfeeding around anyone”

“No, I meant, he’s not very talkative, you don’t think he has PTSD or something of that nature”

His parents were never going to find out about that night and what him and Billy were truly like as people, they weren’t even planning on ever telling Sam either, but Stu had to come up with something.

“No, he’s fine. I mean he has been through a lot in these past few months.”

His mom didn’t look too convinced but his dad believed him which was thankful for.

“Yes, well, just make sure you look after him Stu, as you said he has been through a lot. Pregnancy and bringing another life into this world is never easy.”

Stu rolled his eyes; his mom was always like this. Which was annoying, always throughout school, she was on his back. He was glad they had met their granddaughter and were happy enough to come and babysit whenever, although that was more his mom talking rather than his dad.

Billy finished up with Sam and put her down for a nap, he didn’t think he would ever have this life but yet here it was. Sam was loved and cared for and that’s all he wanted. He just hoped she would never find out the real him and what he did that night…

Chapter 3: Regrets?

Summary:

Sam is teething and Billy is having thoughts

Notes:

Poor Billy

Chapter Text

Sam was now six months old; Billy’s mom had only visited twice in the last few months. She did however love Sam which was a bonus he guessed. She really was into everything now she had become crawling. On the other hand, she had started teething which meant more sleepless nights.

Sam was crying her eyes out, Stu rocking her in his arms. Billy head read somewhere that alcohol was supposed to help.

“I said no Billy!”

Billy sighed and was feeling angry, “And what better fucking suggestions do you have Stu? Because the way I see it, we’re running out of options here!”

Stu looked angry “what have I said about swearing!”

Billy stormed out of the room; Stu really was the gentler parent. Ever since she had started crawling, he baby proofed everything, yes Billy had suggested the dangerous things but no Stu had to baby proof the top kitchen cabinets.

Billy sighed sitting down, who knew parenting would be this difficult. Was he regretting having Sam? His and Stu’s relationship had certainly changed, they didn’t have enough time for sex, they didn’t even have time to themselves anymore. Did they rush into having children? They were only twenty, maybe if they had waited a few more years things would be different.

He for sure wasn’t going to have anymore children, one was enough. He felt guilty for feeling like this about his own daughter but he was allowed to have emotions, right?

Sam was still screaming away upstairs, if Stu was going to be a bitch about things, then he could deal with her alone. So, he grabbed his coat and headed out to clear his head. He couldn’t be in that house for a second longer.

When he started walking, he saw a couple his and Stu’s age making out and looking properly in love, it made him jealous. Why did Stu want a baby so bad? They could’ve done so many things with their lives, they were found not guilty after framing Sidney and had everything, but Stu wanted a baby.

He wasn’t even one hundred percent on having a baby, but yet after nine long and painful months of pregnancy and hours of childbirth, months of sleepless nights, here she was and there was no turning back.

Billy sighed, he had been walking for more than thirty minutes and decided to head back, not that he really wanted to, but if he wasn’t back soon, Stu would probably call the police and report him missing, he was probably already losing it.

He entered the house and it was quiet, Billy was shocked. Stu was sitting on the couch waiting for him.

“I think we need to talk Billy”

Billy sighed “I’m sorry Stu I- “

“No let me start, I guess I am being a little too crazy with Sam, but she’s the light of my life. The moment you told me you were pregnant with her; it was the best moment of my life”

Billy felt even more guilty for the way he felt, “I get that, but as first-time parents, it’s okay to try new things”

Stu nodded “I know your heart isn’t fully into this Billy and I get that, I really do. I mean I wanted a baby so bad and I made you go through pregnancy and birth that I seemed to forget how you truly felt. You put on this tough act a lot but when your soft side shows, it really shows

Billy smirked; Stu really did know him. “I don’t regret having Sam, I do really love her Stu, I mean I made her, she grew in me. I felt her kicks, when she hiccupped. I birthed her. It’s just sometimes I feel we weren’t really ready”

“I don’t think anyone is ever truly ready for children but I understand where you’re coming from”

Billy leaned in to kiss him, it became heated and soon they were full on making out on the couch, their boners grinding against each other.

They were out of breath, they looked at each other, “Sex now”

Stu didn’t need to be told twice; they were so deprived of it.

Stu lubed up his cock after putting a condom on, Billy may be on birth control but he wasn’t taking any risks.

Billy slowly sat down on Stu’s cock moaning “Fuck Stu you’re so big”

Stu moaned at the contact with Billy’s ass, Billy started to pick up the pace, moaning in the first place.

Sam started to whimper on the monitor so they knew they had to be quick, but hey that was part of being new parents.

Billy came, and it didn’t take long for Stu to either. Billy collapsed onto Stu’s chest, things might be different, but they were a good different.

Chapter 4: Sam's first birthday

Summary:

Sam turns one!

Notes:

I don't know why, but I feel as if Stu's parents are those "annoying" parents that think they know everything and their opinions only matter lol

Chapter Text

How had it been a year already? A year ago, he was in heaps on pain, and now here he was with a one-year-old

Sam had slowly began using her legs to stand up but she hadn’t taken her first steps yet.

Stu walked in carrying Sam who woke up a bit grumpy that morning, it looked like she hadn’t slept well at all.

Billy knew his mom wasn’t going to make it, she didn’t have the best relationship with him and ever since Sam was born, she was more distant than ever. He also wasn’t looking forward to Stu’s parents, they were overbearing and asked too many questions. He only liked them because they were happy to take Sam often.

Stu noticed the look on Billy’s face “You don’t look very happy, considering the circumstances”

Billy sighed “I’m happy about Sam’s birthday, but it’s your parents Stu, they just get on my nerves. I know that sounds harsh, but remember when Sam started to eat solid food? They didn’t stop asking so many questions about the goddamn food. Like how can you ask that many questions about baby food?”

Stu smirked softly, he knew his parents could be too much, but they just cared about their granddaughter.

Sam started to fuss in Stu’s arms so he put her down near her presents, she suddenly became very interested.

“Happy first birthday Sam! To think a year ago today, Daddy was pushing you out!”

Billy rolled his eyes “and papa was watching like a lovesick puppy”

Stu smiled, “Watching her enter the world, was amazing.”

Sam screeched with joy as she ripped off the wrapping paper, Stu had gone a little overboard with the presents. But Billy didn’t care, she deserved the world.

They watched and helped Sam open her presents, but she was far more interested in the wrapping paper than her actual presents in front of her typical.

Two hours later and Billy dressed Sam in the cutest outfit he bought about a week ago and settled her down in front of her building blocks. Stu’s parents would be arriving shortly, he really wanted them not to stay for long but considering it was Sam’s first birthday, he couldn’t really see them going quick.

While Stu was playing with Sam, Billy was busy in the kitchen making lunch, he had become such a domestic bitch housewife. He was a stay-at-home dad and was cooking lunch while cleaning away breakfast.

He sighed and wiped his forehead, any minute they would burst through the front door. And just as he was getting lunch out of the oven there they were.

“How is our sweetpea one already!” Stu’s mom shouted and picked up Sam, she giggled at the sight of her grandma.

Billy rolled his eyes at the reaction, bit over the top if someone asked him. But he put on a fake smile, Stu’s father followed in after carrying way too many presents for a one-year-old, she wouldn’t even remember this.

“I know we kind of went a little crazy with the gifts, but she’s too precious for anything less!”

“Thanks mom, we appreciate it”

She smiled at Stu and then turned to Billy “Oh Billy, how have you been? This is a special day for you too! I mean I bet you remember feeling those contractions all those years ago, eh?”

Billy faked a small laugh and rubbed the back of his neck, “Yeah, they were pretty painful”

She smiled and they all sat and watched Sam as she opened up more presents with the help of Stu and Stu’s dad.

“So, Billy, now that Sam is one, is there any talk about baby number two?”

Billy nearly choked on his drink, were they expecting them to have more?

“We haven’t really talked about it…”

She seemed satisfied but was still curious “Well, Sam needs a baby brother or sister, I often find when children grow up an only child, they give off certain behaviours.” She noticed the look on Billy's face “Oh, no dear, you’re an anomaly. But most of the time they just seem odd and a bit spoilt.”

Billy excused himself to use the toilet, it was his only escape. She was far too much and if he had to spend any longer than he had to he might actually go insane. Sam would be fine as an only child, plus there was no way in hell he was going through that again.

When he came out, he saw Stu’s parents dishing out lunch for everyone, Billy looked over at Stu but he just mouthed ‘sorry’ and shrugged. Billy sighed and rolled his eyes.

“I hope you don’t mind dear, I just thought with you gone for a while, we might start on lunch. Sam was starting to get fussy”

“It’s okay, really”

Stu’s parents smiled, they all sat down and had a conversation about more children, schools for Sam and even pets.

The only good thing was that Stu’s parents were willing to do the cleaning up, Billy put this to good use to put Sam down for her afternoon nap after having her bottle.

He sighed as he watched her in her crib, slowly falling asleep.

“Promise me something Sam, please don’t ever end up like your grandparents. I can’t handle three of you…”

Chapter 5: Surprise

Summary:

Stu has a surprise for Billy

Notes:

So I was originally going to do five chapters so I might do 6 instead lol

Chapter Text

Sam was now a feisty three-year-old and ran wild, it was her first day of pre-school, Billy and Stu couldn’t wait. She was all over the place, they had to first come to accept their daughter was one and learning how to walk, then dealing with her turning two was something else.

They had heard about the terrible two’s but they weren’t expecting it at all. She would have meltdowns after meltdowns over the silliest things, then the sass would come out. As soon as she hit three, it all changed, their charming little girl was back.

Stu was emotional, it seemed like yesterday he was watching her move around in Billy’s tummy. And now here she was, a little walking talking human. Stu had been wanting to have the conversation about having another baby, but Billy was against it. He wouldn’t even listen to one word that came out of Stu’s mouth.

Stu and Billy were stood in front of a young cheerful woman, she eyed Billy up which made Stu slightly pissed off. See if Billy was pregnant, she would back off as she knew Billy belonged to him and him only.

“Are you going to say goodbye to your parents Sam?” she asked bending down to Sam’s level.

Sam giggled “Bye daddies!”

And by that point she had run off into the building, Ellen smiled, but still eyeing up Billy. Billy finally noticed “Look lady, we pay you to look after our kid, not to flirt with me, okay?” Billy says as he sends daggers in her direction.

She blushes with embarrassment and walks fast towards the entrance. Stu sighed in frustration, leaving Billy confused.

“What the fuck Stu?”

Stu didn’t say anything, he was sick of people eyeing up Billy. Which was why he had an idea.

“I’m sorry Billy, I’m just sick of people wanting you, I’ve always been the jealous type when it comes to you”

Billy rolled his eyes “You know I’d never want anyone other than you, you big dork.”

Stu got down on one knee in front of Billy, Billy looked surprised and didn’t know what to say, Stu was proposing to him. He never dreamt it would be today of all days.

“Billy, you’re my one and only. The ying to my yang, you’re the reason why Sam is here today and I can’t thank you enough. So will you marry me?”

Billy laughed lightly; Stu was such a sap but he loved it. “Of course I’ll marry you”

Stu slipped the ring on Billy’s finger and he pulled him into a heated kiss.

“On one slight condition, we don’t invite your parents”

Stu sighed “We can’t get married without them there.

Billy rolled his eyes, “Fine, but we only have them at the service, any more than that and I’d have to kill them”

Stu didn’t know if he was joking or not, but either way, he knew he would never touch them. He wasn’t that cold hearted.

Maybe they could have the baby talk after the wedding…

Chapter 6: Was there any ever doubt?

Summary:

Is Sam ready to be a big sister

Notes:

I might do this with Tara as well, a few chapters into her life. Maybe some more with Sam soon though!

Chapter Text

Sam was four years old when it happened, her daddy was pregnant. She was getting a brand-new sister. She didn’t know what to think first, well when daddy found out he wasn’t very happy. But Sam was, everyone in her class had brothers and sisters and she felt a little left out. Her friend Kacey always came to school with her little brother all the time, well her mommy had him in the pushchair, but he was always there. Sam couldn’t wait for her sister to arrive; her daddy’s belly was huge. Daddy and papa said that she could name her sister, so she decided on Tara.

The only problem with Daddy being pregnant was that he didn’t really have enough time to play with her anymore. She felt a bit sad, but at the same time she still had papa. Papa was really fun, she loved it when he would read her bed time stories and put on funny voices for each character.

Sam was playing with her dolls when her papa walked in, “Sam, you know it’s way past your bedtime”

She whined “But papa, I’m not tired yet”

But papa wasn’t budging, she knew her time was up. She hated sleep time, play time was way more fun.

“you know the rules Sam, how about I read your favourite bedtime story. Go get ready for bed”

Sam did as she was told, she loved bedtime stories with Papa, she just wished her daddy would be there too, ever since daddy found out he was pregnant with her sister he was always in bed sleeping.

She didn’t like that about her sister, daddy was no longer the daddy she was used to. While Papa was helping her get ready for bed she thought, maybe having a sister wasn’t so great after all. Sam came to the sudden realisation that her parents were going to be looking after her sister.

“Papa? Can I ask you a question?”

Stu smiled as he was combing Sam’s long brown hair “Sure sweetie, what’s up?”

“You know when Tara gets here, will you still read bedtime stories to me?”

Stu felt bad, he knew this day would come. As much as Sam seemed excited about having a younger sister, there were clearly going to be doubts.

“Of course, where’s all this coming from Sam?”

She shrugged her shoulders “because daddy is never around anymore and when he is, Tara is making daddy feel sick and tired all the time”

Stu sighed, Billy had been suffering more this pregnancy, and he had been sleeping a lot more.

“Aw sweetie, growing a brand-new person can sometimes be hard work”

“But will he ever play with me again papa, I miss him”

Stu’s heart was breaking, he knew Billy felt just as bad.

“He misses you too Sam, Tara is just making him tired, how about we have a playdate tomorrow? Would that be good?”

Sam decided that sounded good, she missed playing dress up with her daddy. But she would always put the makeup on papa.

“Okay papa, that sounds fun!”

Stu smiled while he hugged his daughter “Now what book should we read then?”

Sam ran into her room, grabbing the longest one. Oh boy was Stu in for a long night, but she was worth it.
