[Erica's POV]
Erica woke up to the obnoxious ringing of her black, modern alarm clock: 6:00AM. Her hair is as messy as you would imagine it being on the first day of school. She stretched her right arm, left arm, legs, and her back.
Erica knew that her father must still be asleep: he would never be awake this early on his own, she was aware of that.
A small huff came out her throat as she straightened up and lifted her body onto the black, fluffy carpet placed under her bed. Looking over to her side table, she took her phone. Erica scrolls through some notifications: many likes on posts on social media.
She gets lots of notifications, logical for being the daughter of the CEO of one of the biggest companies ever. Lots of spam texts fill up her phone almost every day. She can easily ignore them by now.
After about five minutes of checking her messages, she stepped away from her bed, onto the dark, wooden floor. Wandering up to her closet, she thought about what to wear. I mean, it was the first day of junior year, meaning: new classmates to worry about.
She got out some casual clothes: a black tank top; dark blue, loose, baggy jeans; black sneakers; and her usual black headphones. She really didn't want to draw attention to herself. I mean, I also wouldn't.
She gazed upon her several posters of cartoons like Gravity Falls, Inanimate Insanity, and The Owl House. Right after changing into her clothes, she exited her room. Glancing at the master bedroom door, she turned to it and knocked.
"Dad? Are you awake?"
"What...? Oh, thanks for waking me, Eri!" (That was genuine.)
Of course, he just woke up. What a shocker.
Erica sighed with a small smile on her face before stepping towards the stairs leading downstairs.
One last glance at the door before walking down to the kitchen.
[Roa's POV]
Meanwhile, Roa was calmly rising from his bed.
He took a bottle of pills on his side table.
Taking out one pill, he swallows it without any liquids for support.
WHY DON'T YOU TAKE MORE IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OF IT SO BADLY.
He shakes the 'thought' off. Stepping to the closet, he gets out a grey-blue polo shirt and some black jeans for main covering. Roa, with clothes in hands, goes out of his bedroom and to the bathroom to quickly shower and change.
Although the shower was refreshing, it made it his heartbeat faster.
WHY ARE YOU EVEN SHOWERING!?
ARE YOU REALLY THAT DISGUSTING THAT YOU THINK YOU HAVE TO?
CAN'T YOU JUST STOP ACTING SO 'FANCY'?
It felt like there were over a million eyes looking at him; and for him, it even looked like it. But it wasn't people, just eyes.
Finally, he finished showering.
[Erica's POV]
She was already eating her self-made scrambled eggs, leaving a plate on the dining table for her father.
After about five minutes, she was done eating and was about to go pack her backpack, til' she accidentally bumped into her dad.
"Ack! Sorry, dad, I guess I just wasn't looking directly..." She laughed awkwardly, but she stopped as soon as she noticed her dad's silence.
"Dad?"
"Oh, yes, sweetie?.." He smiled.
"Are you okay?"
