Work Text:

Amity wiped more flour from her face, letting out an annoyed huff as she watched more of the white powder puff from her lips like smoke. She frowned, resting her hands on the table tensely as she stared at the book of recipes in front of her.

Luz and Camila would be back from the store at any time, and she wanted to at least be nearly finished by the time they got home!

“Amity?” Willow’s voice broke her from her spiraling thoughts. “You okay?”

“No.” Amity sighed, resting her forehead on the flour covered surface not even caring how it might cling to her skin at that point.

“That's…a lot of flour.” Willow chuckled, walking closer and wiping some up from the counter with her fingertips.

“I wanted to bake Luz a human-world pie.” Amity groaned.

Willow smiled softly and patted her back. “You'll get there. Want some help?”

“Please?” Amity asked, looking up with pleading eyes and flour brushed across her cheek.

Willow snickered and wiped it away with her thumb. “Sure thing. Luz is gonna love your pie.”

“Thanks, Willow.” Amity said, shoulders sagging in relief.

“Don't mention it. Pass me that book?”

“You got it.”

They set to work, mixing and pouring and filling until it was ready for the oven, both slumping down to the floor against the cabinets once it was safely placed inside.

“We did good.” Willow grinned, wiping a bit of batter from her cheek.

“Let's just hope it doesn't burn.” Amity giggled.

“Don't jinx it, Blight.” Willow teased. Amity rolled her eyes fondly.

“Hey, Willow?” The purple haired witch said after some silence. “Thanks.”

Willow nudged their shoulders together, resting them there. “No problem, Amity.”

They smiled at each other before the silence was rudely broken by the oven timer.
