What does a wind spirit do when it first gets a human body?
What does a wind spirit do when it's first emotions flood in making it unbearable to move for hours.
And what does a wind spirit do when it's very first feeling is grief and anger.
What can he do other than sobbing over his dead friend's corpse, screaming out to the higher powers to bring him back.
It falls on deaf ears.
He's never coming back, no matter how hard he tries.
So, he finds ways to cope, turning to music and drinks, sleeping for decades at a time, only awaking when he is called for.
He can't abandon his people after all, even if they were independent.
But those first few feelings he was born with will never truly fade.
the first feelings will stick around until the wind no longer blows, until he takes in his own final breath.
But there comes a point where the grief and anger fester so much he can't breathe anymore, where he crumples to the ground, stuck in the grass, begging for the pain to cease.
But it never does.
And it never will.
No matter how hard he tries.
He will always be in such a pain where he just wants to claw out his heart, tear out his throat, and stop the heart ache and the distraught.
To stop the tears that seemed never ending.
To stop it all.
