I'm still here.

Summary:

As I pass over the places we used to share,
I'm still there.
Stuck between the past and the present,
I'm still here.

(inspired from day6's last track from their band-aid album: Still There)

Notes:

Hello guyss! My first fic from this fandom (if this is considered as one.)

Wrote this after the album was released 5hrs ago. I only remembered myself being immersed by Still There, then I found myself writing this in the middle of studying for tomorrow's oral recitation test!
(It's always the last song of the album huh Still There 🤝 Afraid)

Please correct me if there's any grammatical mistakes as English isn't my first language. Thank you! Stream Melt Down!

Work Text:

I'm still here.
Stuck between acceptance and our aftermath,
Couldn't face the future, Couldn't say goodbye.
Because I longed for you, but you already slipped away.

We used to kill time,
In between schedules and priorities
In between our busy days and deadlines,
We used to laugh at them all away.

the streets i walked together with you
the jokes i played with you
the love we whispered
it's still there

We used to dance in the rain,
In the middle of the street, we waltz
In the alleyway where no one can see.
We used to wipe each other's tears concealed from the mist.

We used to bask in each other's warmth.
In your protective embrace, I seek.
In your presence, I ran to.
We used to comfort one another as time passed.

the way i used to talk with you
the expressions i made with you
the overflowing love
it's still there

As the clock ticked, I became a nobody to you.
As if you don't know me at all, as if I was a stranger.
I will be waiting for you in our meeting place.
Not even a shadow of you showed up amidst the crowds.

Am I just an option?
Am I someone who is destined to accompany you before you set to your fated one?
Should I chase you and bring you back to me?
Oh. You're already far.

the streets that become lonely
the jokes that are no longer fun
the love that's faded
i'm still here

As I pass over the places we used to share,
I'm still there.
Stuck between the past and the present,
I'm still here.
