Sebastian Begrudgingly Does Not Let an Infant Die

"...what the fuck." was the only thing Sebastian could manage upon seeing a small, orca-like baby crawl upwards out of the water and into his shop, blankly staring at him with wide, white eyes that blinked one after the other like a frog's.

The small, weird little creature made a 'bah' sound, startling Sebastian briefly. A small child. Barely a foot long. He could...he could fit that in his palm. He felt anger bubbling inside his gut at the thought of Urbanshade experimenting on anyone so young, but upon closer inspection, it had no scars.

It looked like Z-548. Maybe this was her baby before they killed her. It'd make sense, she did say something about mating and babies when they'd briefly passed by each other a mere week ago.

Wait. But that'd mean this thing's only about a week old at best. How was it alive? Then again, there's plenty of shrimp, an abundance even, underneath the water, maybe it's been living off that. "Can you...speak?" He dumbly asked, cringing at his own words. This is an infant, it obviously can't fucking talk.

It only babbled, patting the ground with its small arms, struggling to crawl on land towards Sebastian, who froze up. Oh, man, he doesn't like kids. He can't just let it die, can he? That'd make him as bad as UrbanShade wants him to be. Supressing a groan, he grabbed the small child with one hand and held it, examining it in his palm.

It seemed to like hugging his fingers, which he could admit was...a little cute. Its hands were too small to wrap around much of anything, maybe the tip of his claws if it tried hard enough, but that'd probably hurt it. As much as he dislikes children, he wouldn't want to hurt any, it's not their faults they're so underdeveloped and stupid. That's evolution's fault.

With a sigh, he set it on the platform behind him, and without a moment left to spare, several expendables swam up and into his shop. A day like any other, from then on, he supposed.
