Chapter Text
Izuku entered 1st period groggily, having stayed up the whole night working on new boots; they should boost your jumping capability by 7% but everytime he tested it, it would only come up to 3%. Sitting down, he pulled out his textbook and began reviewing passages for the up-coming test later that day. Ironically, math was never his strong suit. He tended to guess until things looked right and threw any knowledge of organization out the window. What the heck is a interger anyway? It's just a number right? What's with all the fancy terminology? Pointless in his opin-
"Hey!" Izuku looked up to crimson eyes staring down at his, as if he were the one to snatch his textbook.
"Can I get that back? I need it fo-"
Cut off by the textbook being thrown across the room and the classroom door opening, both boys looked to the door as their teacher walked in.
"Sit Bakugou" The teacher said without even looking up, treating the words like an everyday catchphrase said by a tired weather reporter.
"And Midoriya, stop treating school property like a toddler's toy"
Both boys dispersed from their current positions, not without Bakugou whispering how freakish Midoriya was in his ear before turning back to his seat. Midoriya, on the other hand, didn't even hear him as his mind was clouded with all the different ways to cheat on math quizzes. Grabbing the textbook, he walked back to his own seat, ready to listen to a middle aged man with almost fried off hair yap about upcoming school events.
《 after school 》
I can't believe I failed a test I cheated on. How is that even possible? Mom is gonna be so mad.. Good thing I won't have to think about those kinds of things anymore. I still have to sleep so obviously it would have to be delayed by atleast another month or two, nevermind what seems to be endless school hours. I have to finish before school starts up again. What highschool am I supposed to go to? Isn't it that one down by-
Izuku was suddenly flying forward towards the concrete sidewalk.
Not a moment of peace around here, is there? Quickly throwing his hands infront of himself, he landed on his palms, ready to face whatever caused him to fall in the first place.
"Hey, wanna try the new soda I got? Heard it tastes good." The familiar, taunting voice echoed in his ears: like a bad song stuck on repeat.
"Ba-Kacchan what do yo-" Fluffy green hair was suddenly soaked with sticky, purple liquid that released a scent of grape and watermelon. Looking up through his now wet hair, he saw his childhood friend turned enemy laugh off about how weak and sad Izuku was. He almost wanted to show Katsuki how much muscle was hiding under his baggy school uniform, of which he developed oven the past 5 months, but of course, that would just cause more unnecessary drama.
Pulling himself off the ground, he retrieved his backpack and started to walk off before Katsuki could realize he was even leaving. He wondered how someone so obsessed with Izuku couldn't see him dissappear right infront of his eyes.
I literally got up and just walked away! How blind can someone be..
Quickly hiding behind the nearby corner, The freckled boy walked back to his apartment to scrub the sticky soda out his hair.
I needed to wash it anyways..
Stepping out the bathroom in fresh clothes, He greeted his mother coming home from work with a warm smile and a hug, realizing how much he would miss small moments like this in the future.
"Look at you, baby." Inko told him stepping out of his warm embrace to take her shoes off.
"You've gotten so big over the last year. It's hard to believe you'll be going into highschool soon!" The small woman said, forcing a small chuckle out of Izuku.
"Or so I've heard," The boy replied "How was work?"
"Not much happened, a rather slow day, actually" "I'll start up on dinner, you go work on your robotics"
"Ok, mom." Izuku smiled "I love you."
"Love you too, dear."
