Work Text:
Celeste sipped her tea. It was still warm enough to feel it's heat slide down her throat. Which was good, because it was a bit chilly outside today, and she was going out! It was date night with her girlfriend, Junko; but seeing as she was the Ultimate Fashionista, she took a while to get ready... Even with Celeste's love of elaborate gothic lolita clothes, she could get ready far before Enoshima. So she sat at the dinner table... Sipping her tea. A smile grew on her face imagining their upcoming time together. A quiet sit down, talking about whatever came to mind with some light and high-class food.
"Hmhmhm..."
Celeste couldn't help but giggle at her thoughts. Despite Junko's tendency to shift her behavior, she's held it together for expensive dinners.
"What's up bitches! You ready for this fuckin' date, Cece?"
Junko shouted exiting their bedroom, in her loud, delinquent mood. Throwing her hands into the air before letting them fall to her hips. Leaning against the doorframe, she was dressed in her typical attire, not exactly fancy but her fashion sense could carry her to fit relatively well just about anywhere, opposed to Celeste who almost always overdressed.
"So where the hell are we going?"
Ludenberg smiled hesitantly, she loved hearing Junko like this, she loved hearing her in all her forms, but she knew that this type of talk wouldn't fly where they were going. She puts her tea down on the table in front of her.
"Well, Junko. I've decided that we are going out to Die Schönheit tonight."
Die Schönheit was a common choice of Celeste's. It suited her well with it's beautiful architecture, quiet nature and very, very subservient staff. And between all her winnings and Junko's constant high pay deals, the cost was equivalent to going to local diner for them. But Although Junko couldn't deny her love of some of the items there, she certainty did not love how she had to restrain herself in such a high-class environment
"What.......? Dlee Shhonlight again.....? I'll have to sit there and look pretty the whole time............ and it stinks of those rich, geriatric bums.... It'd be so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so lame.................."
Junko's explosive mood settled quickly. Shifting into a somber stare, her arms falling limp at her side, shoulders slumping. Celeste took a deep breath, she had anticipated this reaction for her girlfriend. But it was never an easy task to convince her when she was like this.
"Well you most certainly will be looking pretty, yes. But you simply can't be so loud in such a place. I'm sorry, dear. But you've done it before, haven't you? It will just be for a few hours and we can talk on anything that catches your busy brain!"
She smiled at Junko, she didn't give such honest smiles to anyone else. Junko looked up, and though she knew that Celeste loved this place, she really, REALLY did not want to deal with that tonight.
"I've been doing modeling work and deals that last two weeks...... I don't wanna spend the whole date bottle up more..... so boring.............. Can't we go to Habanero?"
"'Habanero'?" Celeste asked.
"Yes! All those baby faces going up to the stage with their hearts full of confidence, mind full of jokes, only for the despair to consume them as they BOMB!! Puhuhuhuhuuu!~"
Junko had pulled out a smaller, handmade plush version of her Monokuma bot. The more portable bear was held up to her mouth, covering it but still leaving her eyes visible as they narrowed, expanded and darted all around as she gleefully explained her love of the open mic night. Celeste nodded along as she waved her fingers, having heard this description many times before.
"Yes beloved, I know. But we have been there a multitude of times, even recently! And just the other week, we made that compromise, remember? I would like a turn going to were I wish."
She ended her statement by putting her hand on her chest, looking into Junko's eyes with her sharp red ones. Junko stared back, her guard raised for another battle of the wills between them.
"Well your boring place is still gonna be there next date night! There might be some a couple of losers who will ONLY be there TONIGHT! And I can't make them cry if they never come back!"
She leaned in, placing a hand on the table. A determined glare shot from her glossy blue eyes. Celeste took the last sip of her tea, putting it on it's plate before standing.
"Enoshima. Pardon me for my bluntness, but you are behaving like a spoiled, selfish child! Perhaps I have been too easy on accepting your demands and compromises! Is it so much to ask that we go somewhere your girlfriend enjoys?"
She sounded almost flustered, the sharpness of her words pricing through her calm demeanor. She whipped her arms down to punctuate her speech. What only made Celestia more emotional, was HOW emotional she was openly getting. Junko was surprised too, leaning back from it... However, it only seemed to fuel her more.
"Well I'm sorry, darling, but in actuality we have been going to your places ever since we went on our first date. It took quite awhile of convincing before you went to Habanero or anywhere that wasn't high-class for that matter, so you still owe me a multitude of dates."
Junko shifted her voice to be lower in pitch, speaking slower but effectively. Stern and almost motherly. Though Celeste was not comforted by this.
"Huff... I know we didn't venture out of my comfort zone early on, but just because I've left it doesn't mean I don't still find it conferrable! Since when did love involve keeping score of such things?"
"OOOOOHH really now?! love doesn't fuckin' keep that kind of score!? Alight, Ms. 'It's YOUR turn to make dinner!'"
"Tch... That's because... I know... You- uhg."
The pale goth gritted her teeth, her hands shaking. holding back her anger; despite how much she didn't want to. She hated how emotional Junko could get her, any other situation, no matter the game state, no matter the person, she could always keep her cool. Or at least look like it. But with her...
She took a deep breath, closing her eyes ad turning away from Junko, making the idols heart skip a beat. Celeste turned back, her straight, intellectual face returned. Eyes half-closed, lips limp in a perfect line.
"I see. It seems neither of our date plans will do... That's fine. I need a moment, Enoshima. Stay here, I'll return in due time."
With that, Celeste turned around, walking to their front door, grabbing her car keys, putting on her shoes and walking out the door. Junko was stunned by the sudden swing of the mood. She could barely muster up more than a sounds or two before Celeste closed the door behind her. Junko slumped. Staring at the door for a moment before retiring to the dinner table. She sat in her usual seat, one in the middle of the table. She didn't sit with her legs spread, or up right and formal. Not curled into herself or tall and proud. She just put her head in her hand, pressing her palm into her cheek as she stared at the wall. Her eye catching a photo of her and her girlfriend. It was one they took on her birthday. Junko wearing a big party hat, leaning towards the camera and holding a peace sign with a big, toothy smile adorned on her face. Celeste sat next to the birthday girl. Her perfect posture holding her up tall on the couch. Wearing a deep red dress. Junko's favorite color. She held her left hand on the Ultimate Despair's back, wearing a special smile on her dolled-up face. Yet none of this was Enoshima's favorite part of this photo. No, that was Celeste's right hand. It sat on her lap, pressing into her poofy dress. And it was curled into a fist... aside from her index and middle finger. A peace sign. A few tears welled up in her eyes.
"Damnit... I really fucked up this time."
...
Celeste stepped into her car, making sure all the numerous curtains on their house were closed before she let go of her face muscles, and let a massive smile flood over it. As always with her partner, it was one of the hardest poker faces she'd ever held. She opened one of her phones, scrolling into her notes, she had to input a complex password to access it. She kept her most important info in these documents. Her toughest opponents weaknesses, shady businesses deals and some of her strategies, but at the very bottom of her collection sat a folder which was her favorite. She opened and navigated to the document labeled "Beloved's favorite restaurants" She had debated renaming the folder multiple times, since many of the establishments she had written down she didn't consider to be 'restaurants' but nevertheless, Junko liked them and tonight, Celeste would 'make do' with them. She pulled out of the lot, and made her way to the furthest one on the list labeled "Fast Food"
...
Junko had only walked a little bit while Celeste was gone. She continued to stare at the picture, but mostly the wall. She pulled out her phone, Celeste had been gone for nearly an hour now. She was debating texting her, until she heard the front door reopen in the distance... She bolted out of her chair, running towards the sound before another one hit her ears
"Don't run into me!!"
She slowed down, a little, her face lighting up as she saw Celeste coming in carrying some stuff. She got as close as she could without breaking Cece's demands
"Celestia!! I'm sosososososososososo sorry I didn't mean to-"
"Enough of that! You can apologize later, for now, can you please help me carry in your food?"
"Oh yes, of cour- My food?"
She looked down to see that her lover was carrying in a variety of decorated bags! Some with grease stains visible. A big smile enveloped her as she fought the urge to wrap Celestia in her arms. She quickly grabbed as many bags as she could and walked with her girl to their dinner table. They laid the bags out on the table, over ten bags were on Junko's side of the table, only one was on Ludenberg's
"Is this what I think it is?!"
Junko excitedly looked back and forth between all her food options and her girlfriends face. Her eyes beaming with the light reflecting off her tears of joy.
"I'd assume so. I went to all of your favorite fast service restaurants that were open at this hour and got your favorite picks from each. I hope this can make up for my out burst earl- HMPH!"
Suddenly, the lips the Ultimate Gambler was using to speak were filled with the tongue of her beloved. Junko pressed her lips into Celeste's. For a few moments, Celeste's mouth was completely wiped down by Enoshima's tongue. She only responded with a few surprised moans before she finally reciprocate with her own tongue. The two Ultimate girls explored each other's mouth, twisting their tongues and trying the suckle and steal the other's tongue into their own kissers. Eventually, the girls pulled away, heavy breathing onto one another as the last bit of spit connecting them breaks. Celeste slowly took her hands off Junko's arms, clearing her throat and walking over to pull her lovers chair out. Junko sat down with great pride.
"Ahahahah! Finally! A feast feat fit for the queen! I have my lovely queen to thank for it. What are you going to eat, dear?"
"Hmhmhm!~ I'll be just be having a salad. It's one of the only things I can bare from these places. Honestly, I don't understand how you can eat such things."
Junko got multiple items from her bags, burgers, sushi, gyudon and more. As well as a multitude of drinks!
"Well I don't see how you can sustain yourself on just a simple meal!... That's what makes you so much fun to observe, I suppose."
"I feel much the same, dear..."
Celeste looked around for a drink, but in her haste she had forgotten to prepare more tea before she left! She certainly didn't want any of Junko's drinks and she didn't want to spend time in the kitchen on their date night! But Junko quickly noticed this, and bolted up dashing into the kitchen before coming back out with a fresh, warm cup of tea. The milk having been added during the brewing. Junko had made it while Celeste had gone. She stared down at her tea, Junko retook her seat and Cece looked up her with a wide smile. Wiping a single tear from her eye.
"...I love you, Junko."
"I love you too, Celeste."
