In Mikha's POV:
We find ourselves at the cliff's edge. We can feel the ocean breeze upon our faces, the breeze hits me yet I feel no chill but I look to the person next to me shivering. I took off the jacket that I have grown accustomed to for so long and covered her shoulders to stop her from feeling the heavy cold.
"Thanks..." was all she can muster as she looks down on the ground seemingly embarrassed.
"It's nothing." I replied, "You need it more than me."
We found ourselves once again in the calm silence. It's not a silence that you hate but a silence that you have grown to accept, throughout the many times that I have been with her she had been silent, only speaking rarely. At first, I was irritated, furious, angry even, all because she just wouldn't talk until I saw the fear in her eyes and felt my whole world crumble. How can such innocent eyes be cast upon this one being? Regardless, I changed my attitude. I learned to enjoy the silence and in time we found ourselves kind of having this psychic link between us.
"Mikha?" She suddenly said which made my eyes go wide, this was the rare moments she said my name.
"What's up, Aiah?" I asked, tilting my head slightly as I await her question
"What did you want to be when you grew up?" She asked innocently
"Kind..." were all the words that could come out of my mouth, I had no idea why they were the ones that came out but it happened.
"Really?" She gently spoke yet her eyes managed to show a glint that sparked curiosity
"Yeah... When I was little, I always wanted to be an angel. I wanted to be one of the big ones, help assist Michael as he slays the big demon but..." I paused looking at the color of my skin, dark red. "seemed like fate had different plans for me..." were all the words I can say. I wanted to say more, I wanted to scream, to shout, to be angry at fate for giving me this fate, for making me a demon, for making me... me.
"It sucks... That sucks..." She responded
"Right you are, Aiah. It does suck..."
"But even if people don't think you are kind, I think differently Mikha. I think you are one of the kindest beings I have ever met and heaven lost out if they think otherwise." She nonchalantly says as she smiles in my direction
I feel wet drops on my arms, I looked up to see if it was raining only to find that it was my own tears. We can only stand in silence again, comfortable yet emotional.
