“Yo, Donnie? Can I ask you something?”
Donnie grunts, still typing fast equations on his tablet. They’re lounged on the living room floor of the farmhouse, feet kicked up on the couch. Classic rock blares on the old, tinny speaker he hasn’t gotten around to fixing yet.
“It’s…” Casey gives an awkward laugh, fingers playing with the pill of the carpet. “Kinda crazy. Ya know?”
Donnie glances at him, then goes back to his tablet. Silent approval to continue.
“Well. You and your brothers… I mean. You…”
Donnie’s thumbs slow down. He glances at Casey again. His face is redder than it was ten seconds ago, and his human scent is stronger. Growing, actually.
Ah.
“Spit it out, Jones,” he mutters, for the sake of confirming his own suspicions.
“You wanna fuck?”
Donnie can’t help his snicker.
“I’m just curious!” Casey’s voice raises an octave, but the invisible tension building in him has cracked. He sits up on his elbow and peers down at Donnie. “I mean, we’ve all walked in on Leo and Raph at some point and I caught a glimpse, and you all are working with, let’s say, interesting stuff down there. So can you blame a guy for being curious?”
No, he cannot.
Donnie turns off his tablet and sets it on the floor. “Fine.”
Casey’s face scrunches. “Wait. Really?”
“Yes.” He shrugs. “You’d only be asking if you asked them first, and since you made it this far, I assume they’re all cool with it.”
Casey’s dark eyes are wide now. “Uh. Yeah. But uh,” another awkward laugh, “What do you want?”
Donnie looks down, then back up at Casey. “I’ve thought about it,” he admits.
Casey perks up. “Honestly?”
“Honestly.” Donnie shrugs. “Usually when I wanna shut you up.”
Casey’s breath hitches. After a few seconds, “H-How would you do it?”
Donnie slowly grins.
