Chapter Text
“LANGA! What are you doing?!” Reki shouts through his mic, the horrid sound of crappy mic pierces Langa’s ears. “Reki…I'm pulling for Arlecchino.” Langa said that so calmly that Reki might think he was messing with him. Reki knows better than to believe that, however. “In the middle of her boss fight?!? Are you crazy? Langa we are both gonna lose if you don’t get off that wishing screen.” Reki was not as calm as Langa. His Ga-ming was doing fine, it was his Hu Tao that was about to die. Poor Reki didn’t stock up on healing foods because Langa uses at least two healers per team. “Actually, you’re going to lose. I just got her.” Langa left the wishing screen to see that Reki’s Hu Tao did not make it and right as his Ga-ming was about to die, a bright flash appeared on both their screens, and when it was gone so were they. Cherry was not going to find this very funny.
“What the..?” Reki woke up on the ground of a seemingly foreign place. “Why do I sound so weird? Langa..?” Reki reached for his mic only to find it wasn’t there. He looked around and noticed his clothes were weird, none of it made sense until a red box like screen appeared in front of him. Reki was stunned. He was a kid who skateboarded and crushed on his best friend. What in the world was going on? The red screen started to make noise. “User Ga-Ming, welcome to Teyvat.” Those words suddenly made everything make sense, and not at the same time. “I’m in Teyvat? How? I was in my bedroom like five minutes ago. Maybe Miya was right when he said that fall would affect me. I’m hallucinating.” Reki rambled on and on before the box cut him off. “Transmigrator name: Reki Kyan. Age: 17.” This made Reki pause. “How do you know my name?” Reki spoke before thinking how stupid it is to talk to your hallucinations, and he probably looks like a madman, lying on the ground and shouting at nothing. “That’s unimportant. I will be your ‘guide’ per say, throughout your new journey.” The red box spoke more about things, but Reki only paid attention when he heard the words vision. “Wait wait, vision??” he questioned, looking so confused. “Would you like me to repeat the user introduction?” the red box asked, sounding annoyed. “Uh yeah.” Reki actually listened this time. “User, Ga-ming. Weapon: claymore. Vision: Pyro. Native nation: Liyue. Profession: Lion dancer.” The red box repeated its words and Reki finally got it. “I'm in a video game?!” he shouted to which the box replied, “Yes. You must act accordingly to your character in order to stay.” This was all confusing for Reki and he laid back down on the ground before he heard a strangely familiar voice. “Ga-ming! There you are! Thought we’d lost you for a second!” It was a girl’s voice, he could have sworn he’d heard it before. “He’s clearly fine Hu Tao, there isn’t anything to worry about.” It was a man’s voice, but this time Reki knew who it was. “Let’s get him back to Wangshu inn before Aether gets worried.
In a different area of Teyvat. “Freminet?!” the voice of a young girl was shouted out. Langa was half awake as everything happened, people rushing to his side while a name that was not his was shouted out. “Freminet, are you awake?” The young girl’s voice shook him out of his thoughts. “Yeah.. what happened and where…am I?” He knew where he was, but figured he could use an injury excuse to figure out what’s going on. “You hit your head on that rock pretty badly, lucky you. You’re not bleeding.” The girl he recognized as Kokomi took a sigh of relief. “you’re in Fontaine currently. You and Lady Furina offered to help me get to Palais Mermonia, remember?” Kokomi smiled and helped Langa up. He saw Furina standing at the edge of the beach and looking out at sea. “Lady Furina! I checked him over, we are good to go!” Furina snapped out of her thoughts and made her way over to them. “We aren’t far, it shouldn’t be a long walk. Freminet, are you sure you will make it alright?” Furina asked, sounding worried. Langa, or Freminet, just nodded and they went on. Upon reaching their destination, Kokomi made sure to get a form of contact from Freminet and Furina so they could meet up again soon. Furina talked with someone for a moment before leaving, Freminet made sure no one was watching, and he made his way to a secluded location. And to think Reki told him that getting 100% on the whole map was a waste of time. He sat down and thought for a moment. After he collected his thoughts, he grabbed a note pad and pen. He wanted to write it all down as to not forget anything. He started writing. “So, I'm in Teyvat. I'm also not in my body, but rather a different character. Freminet. I'm either dreaming or I’ve ended up in one of those ‘if blank was in blank’ videos that Miya watches.” He wrote down some more before being grabbed from his thoughts. He saw an icy blue box-screen in front of him and it was talking to him. “User: Freminet. Welcome to Teyvat, transmigrator.” The box spoke and Freminet thought it was crazy. “Can you tell me what’s happening?” he was for sure dreaming, right? “Transmigrator: Langa Hasegawa. User: Freminet. Weapon: Claymore. Vision: Cryo. Native nation: Fontaine. Member of the house of hearth, Fatui.” The box was somewhat happy to tell him everything. “I’m here to help you on your journey, Transmigrator 2.” The box spoke and Freminet’s eyes widened. “2? Does that mean there’s another?” Freminet asked, slightly panicked. “Yes, the other transmigrator is located in Liyue.” This was almost too much. “Is it possible to get their name?” The box seemed to get brighter every time he asked something. “Yes! His name is Reki Kyan! He’s currently in User: Ga-ming!” finally, he’s making a start.
