College Life (Love and Deepspace)

Summary:

After falling in love with the guys from Love and Deepspace, I was thinking how fun it would be to write an alternate universe for them and so here it is! I appreciate kudos, comments and feedback!

Chapter 1: A Chance Meetup

Chapter Text

Sylus spun a coin with his fingers. Bored with the current business lecture, he gazed out of the window, his mind drifting off to his various business ventures.

At first he was excited that he has gotten into Business Administration but after a month of classes, he realised that they were pretty much theory and that he is already much further in his own ventures vs what the lecturers taught. His sidekicks, Luke and Kieran were sitting some distance away from him in the lecture hall, plotting up some mischief that he prefers not to know.

He suddenly stood up as the lecturer droned on. Oblivious to the many admiring female eyes on his tall muscular figure, strange red eyes and silver hair, he hoisted his bag on his shoulders and started to head off.

"What are you doing?" The lecturer was caught off guard and started to bluster at him.

"Your class is outdated. Have you see what's been used in businesses these days? Tch." He smirked at the lecturer, his red eyes taking in the cluster of students and left the room.

He decided to head to the cafeteria to grab a drink. Not that they serve what he likes - grade A Turkish roasted coffee. What they have been serving was some pale insipid dregs sloshing in a styrofoam cup. He wondered whether he should speak to the stall owner and pitched his idea of premium coffee. It will mean higher profit margins for both of them.

He smirked. He might just do that.

Suddenly someone ran into him and jolt his cup out of his hand. Coffee went flying and spilled on... her. Amused, he stared at the interloper.

With coffee dripping down her blouse, she looked up in disgust. Luckily it was only warm, not scalding hot. But it has made a mess of her clothes, staining her white blouse brown. Sylus could see her black bra under her soaked shirt.

"Aaaah! Why didn't you look where you were going?" She was upset, having already been late for her class. She doubted she can walk into her Law Enforcement class like this and she didn't have a spare shirt to change into.

Sylus quirked an eyebrow at her. "I was looking, you weren't. You barrelled into me."

Seeing how woebegone she looked, Sylus offered.

"Look, I've a spare shirt in my locker, you could change into that."

".... ok thanks. Sorry about accusing you."

He took another look at her. Most students on campus have brown hair, dark eyes so she definitely looks different with her silvery white hair and purple eyes. Wait, only one eye is purple. She peered at him again and he realised that she has heterochromia; her other eye an intriguing gold. With the sun shining at an angle at her face, he realised that her gold iris glowed, giving her a mystical otherworld look.

"My locker is this way."

She quietly followed him, heart beating rapidly as she checked how late she's now for her class.

"Here." He handed her a large dark red shirt. It's too big for her but at least she can change quickly and scramble to class.

"I'll wash it and return to you. Give me your number?" She whipped out her phone, ready to key it in.

"No need. You can keep it. In case it happen again?" He smirked at her and she felt her temper rise again. She tried to squish it down.

"Um no. I prefer to return it to you. You shouldn't be losing a shirt just because I'm careless." She pushed her mobile to Sylus.

"Just enter your number and I'll call you tomorrow."

He took it silently and added his details.

"Sylus? Ok. I'm Fayth. See ya, I gotta run!"

She scrambled off with a bemused Sylus looking at her retreating figure. To be honest, he has experienced several women trying to get his contact. Some told him how good looking he was, some tried the bumping into him with drinks and there was one that even asked him to be her boyfriend outright. He was never interested in any of these school girls and just turned them down politely.

But this girl, Fayth. She's strangely immune to his looks, that's refreshing. And that strange golden eye.

He chuckled as he walked out of college. Perhaps he might make a new friend this school year after all.
