Forever in my memories...

Summary:

I asked someone in my class to give me something to write fanfiction about, so yeah. My style of Steve and endermen + the enderman language actually typed out. I will provide translations within text in (these), so dw about that. Anyway, enjoy this random fanfic. Updates will be random as I'm busy with life and school off of this site. <3

Work Text:

A new world was never easy to start on, the heartbreak of leaving behind another that you poured your heart and soul into. A tragedy, really. Though, for Steve, it was even harder. He grew attached to everything and anything. Villagers, animals, mobs, the like. He knew it was stupid, that he shouldn't be getting attached to things that wouldn't matter in the end...but he couldn't help it. Playing in hardcore only made things worse. He knew he could always play it safe and never go to the Nether, or the End, but he was a stubborn bastard and liked taking risks. Deadly or not. This world wasn't going to be any different.

It was the same routine. Fall in, punch a tree, craft some things, go mining, and repeat the process until he made pretty good progress. Just going through the motions. Made sheers, sheered some sheep, built a cozy little cottage house on a peninsula surrounded by a dark oak forest, pale oak forest, snowy mountain and birch forest in one fairly gigantic circle. It was a sight to behold, really. One of the best spots Steve had found across the many worlds he's been through. He placed down his bed on the second floor, the official confirmation that this was where he was settling down the remainder of his time on this world. Lighting up the place with lanterns, he decided to focus on making the place look nice, especially if he was going to be trying to stay here for longer than he usually did. Like a "Forever World" almost. Soon enough, it became dusk. Climbing up to the top of the highest surrounding mountain peak, Steve plopped down onto the snowy ground in his iron armor, and watched the sun set below the ocean. His helm lay beside him, the polished metal catching the orange-yellow lights. He found himself dozing off, the last thing in his ears being the sound of an Enderman. He wasn't sure what it said, he didn't speak the language, maybe it was just rambling to itself like most of them did. Laying back on the snowy ground, he let the peaceful moment lull him to sleep.

However, the Enderman watching him didn't like that. This one was different. He actually cared for players....or at least, he wanted to. He carefully walked up, not wanting to disturb the sleeping Steve. Curious, he lifted the helmet in his hands, and placed it on his head. Of course, nothing was blocky except the materials. Everything else was like the fanart you can find online. Putting the helmet on his head, he found himself strangely happy. So, thinking he could make Steve happy, he lifted the man up in his arms and teleported all the way down to the little cottage home Steve had built. He had watched, of course. Endy, as we'll call him and he'll soon call himself, had found himself infatuated with Steve. Even though he had no idea he could, he somehow managed to pull the brick wall of a man into the small home, and into the classic red bed. A wolf lay in the corner, sleeping and unaware. Curious, Endy snooped around the mans home, even going as far as to count how much precious gold and diamond he had stashed away. He counted the ratio between smelted and unsmelted items. Piles of uncooked and unmoulded gold and iron sat in a chest labeled "uncooked", along with some raw meats. Of course, nothing spoiled in this world. Just one of its many quirks. Endy didn't know if Steve was saving the uncooked materials, or just forgot to cook them, so he took a few of each item and smelted them himself. He left them in an empty chest with a note; "⋏⍜⏁ ⌇⎍⍀⟒ ⟟⎎ ⊬⍜⎍ ⋔⟒⏃⋏⏁ ⏁⍜ ⌰⟒⏃⎐⟒ ⏁⊑⟒⌇⟒ ⎍⋏☊⍜⍜☍⟒⎅, ⌇⍜ ⟟ ☊⍜⍜☍⟒⎅ ⏁⊑⟒⌇⟒ ⏃⌇ ⏃ ☌⟟⎎⏁." (Not sure if you meant to leave these uncooked, so I cooked these as a gift.) After a little more snooping, Endy finally left the small home and ventured off outside to see what else he could fine. Preferably for Steve. He wasn't sure exactly what he was looking for, but Endy knew he'd know it when he found it.
