The entire squad was seated in the school cafeteria since it was lunch at the time. Kimizuki, Yoichi, and Mitsuba were on one side while Mikaela, Yuichirou, and Shinoa were on the other. They were each munching on whatever they brought with some scattered conversation in between of course.
"Your hair's really soft you know that?" the raven haired teen mumbled on a piece of bread while his index finger of his right hand was twirling a strand of Mika's hair around it.
"T-thanks?"
This irked the other blonde, not because she wasn't happy for them, just that her and Shinoa were the only two single people in the group. Oh, and she had the biggest crush on the small girl.
After five more minutes of Yuu and his boyfriend flirting, she finally decided that today was the day she was going to try to get with the lavender haired teen.
"Hey, Shinoa?" she tried to stay calm while saying but still had a slight pink dusted across her face.
"Yeah, Mitsu?"
"C-can you come out into the hall with me for a second?"
"Anything to get away from those love birds~!" she practically sang out in reply as she stood up which gave cue to the other girl to stand up to.
"Huh?!" the paler one of said boys tensed up while flustered.
"Nothing~," Shinoa teased before following Mitsuba outside of the room and into the hallway, "What is it?"
"I-I, um, have s-something that..." she started off, feeling her face heat up, "I w-want to tell you..."
Fuck, I'm so stupid! the blonde thought while averting her eyes from her crush to the ground.
"Hmm?" the purple haired girl pressed on, still wearing a smile.
"I-I-... I, uh... I just-..." she tried to force it out while glancing everywhere but Shinoa who surprisingly stayed quiet this time.
"U-uhhh..." she went on, staring straight at her now, "I... like you?"
The tiny girl's eyes seemed to widen, plus a light blush formed, before replying, "Eh?- Well, I mean, of course! Everyone likes me!" she rambled a bit as she tried to be her normal, sassy self, flipping her hair for effect.
Thinking that she didn't understand what she meant, Mitsuba closed her eyes tight as if she feared the answer, which she did, and knitted her eyebrows before practically yelling, "I mean, like, I love you- r-romantically!"
Not hearing a response after a minute or two, the blonde opened one eye before the other, only to see a red faced Shinoa. She loosened her expression and just started to stare back at the lavender haired teen.
"D-do you feel t-the same...?"
The shorter girl bit her lip, looking around for a second before refocusing back onto her, and she stepped forward, quickly pecking her lips with a kiss for a response.
In reaction, Mitsuba's brain completely shut down. Not know what to do, she stuttered out, "I-I-I take t-that as a y-yes?"
Shinoa uncharacteristically gave a bashful smile accompanied with a blush as she nodded slightly.
After a minute of just standing in close proximity together, the purple haired girl when back into the cafeteria with their friends, leaving her alone, but not a second passed before the blonde got a text.
