Chapter Text

Narrators POV: 

Castor looked around the empty bedroom, feeling this weird tight feeling in his chest, was he having a heart attack? No, that wasn't possible, they didn't have hearts…so why did he feel so disheartened? 

Castor looked around the area where Pollux would usually be, but she wasn't there as if now, she's probably doing something stupid again 

Castor felt the tight feeling to linger even further, it hurt, why? 

Castor held back a small choked sob as he wrapped his arms around himself, he wanted it to go away, why did he suddenly feel like he was hurting? He didn't like it, he wanted it to go, it felt icky

Castor felt tears blur into his vision, oh…he was crying? Seriously? Over a silly feeling? Oh he really did hit the deep end…

Castor silently cursed as the tears ran down his cheeks, sniffling as he curled up in a blanket burrito, embracing the soft and gentle fur and the strange but also comforting smell of perfume Pollux seemed to start wear

He liked it, he liked perfum, but he couldn't wear it, that stuff was for girls according to the videos on the internet he found

Silly Castor, he was thinking negatively again…

Castor shook his head, he promised Polly and Lulu he'd stop-…Polly?…Lulu!?

Why was he suddenly using those silly nicknames-

Had he really gone down the line of negative thoughts that he'd fallen to insanity? 

Oh he really is going crazy

He's so lonely

Now that Castor thought of it, when was the last time he actually hung out with anyone that wasn't Pollux nor Lunar? 

He never seemed to open up to anyone other than those two

Was that bad? 

The Earth Lady says it's ok to hand out with only a few minimum people, and that its ok to not want to hang out with more

But that just sounded sad

He read that Humans are usually supposed to be very socially acceptable and that their supposed to have many groups of friends available for support 

he was lonely in human words

He didn't have any friends that wasn't his own twin sister and possible love inter- no- who said that!? 

Castor hid his face under the blanket

He promised his sissy he'd open up more…that he wouldn't think so negatively…but he was already failing to keep a simple promise he made…

So useless…

Castor felt the tears roll up again as he tried but failed to hold back a sob

He wanted Polly…he wanted his big sissy…

Which was silly. He and Pollux are technically the same age in human terms

They were made together and made at the same time

But Castor right now, just felt younger, more younger than he was supposed to

Was that normal? Castor didn't think so 

Was he getting sick? 

Was he possibly infected? 

He didn't know

He wanted his sissy...-

Ugh! Shut up with the sissy stuff already! 

Castor hit himself gently on the head, grumbling in anger at the stupid thoughts

Why was he using such childish terms? 

His chest hurt, it felt too tight right now

He need his big sis 

Wouldn't she think he was being too clingy though? 

He's never this needy for her affection 

Why was he suddenly craving her care

Her love

The unconditional love she always seemed to give him, despite him not knowing how to return, she always gave him so much love

He didn't deserve it

Yes he did

No he didn't 

It felt like a furious battle of tug of war that was banging against his not really existing heart

Castor sniffled, wiping the dry tears on his cheeks with the blanket around his body

Castor slowly removed said blanket as he hopped of the bed

He needs his sister…

Pollux was walking around the Earth's(planet) forest, one nearby the Mega Pizzalex or whatever it was called, Pollux couldn't seem to remember what it was despite Lunar having to have a full lecture on how to pronounce the word and the difference grammar stuff and-

Pollux suddenly sneezed midwalk, pausing in place as she rubbed her nose

Oh, strange, whatever 

Pollux shrugged as she continued walking before stopping to suddenly sneeze again 

Ugh- what the-? Was someone talking about her behind her back!? 

Lunar had told Pollux that some people thought that when you sneeze a lot it means that someone is talking about you, whether it was good or bad, Pollux couldn't remember 

But whoever it was that was talking about her she's going to give them a knuckle whatever it was called, pretty sure it was something along the lines of manwhich or something

Pollux felt a presence near the forest, suddenly stopping to look around her surroundings 

Who was here? 

Taurus? No, they would have made their presence known

Leo- nah that's not possible, Leos too busy to mess with little ol brat like Pollux 

But who-

Pollux stopped as she felt gentle arms wrap around her middle

Ah

"Hi Castor!" Pollux said, placing her hands ontop of Castors and spinning herself around to face her slightly tired looking Brother…was that tear marks around his eyes? 

Castor just hummed as he placed his head ontop of Pollux shoulder, nuzzling against it as he wrapped his arms around Pollux again 

This was weird-

Pollux looked down at Castor, did he have a bad day? Maybe that's why he's acting more affectionate than normal? 

Pollux simple decided to ask him about it another time, right now, Castor looked like he needed her well deserved comfort and Pollux shall be a good sister and give him said comfort! 

Pollux chirped, wrapping her arms around Castor in return, nuzzling her head against his, her long and fluffy hair tangling with Castors short and messy hair a bit

"Wanna talk about it?" Pollux whispered softly, wanting to make sure Castor didn't plan on avoiding her questions later on

Castor didn't respond for a few but slowly shook his head

"Later then?" Castor slowly nodded, burying his head against Pollux shoulder more

Pollux could do with that, at least Castor wasn't planning on hiding anything from her

Pollux and Castor kept this pose for a few minutes, Castors arms around Pollux whilst hers was aswell

"Can…go home and cuddle…?" Castor hesitantly asked, raising his head up slightly to look up at Pollux

He wanted cuddles? Well, cuddles he'll get! 

Pollux chirped happily, nodding 

"If that's what you want" Pollux agreed, raising her arms to hold Castors cheeks in her palms, squishing them chonky cheeks slightly 

God why did Castor get all the cute genes! His cheeks were so chonky! It was soooo cute! 

Pollux couldn't help herself but went to kiss Castors cheeks, Feeling Castor make a tiny noise of embarrassment before…purring? Awww!! He was purring! 

Pollux giggled at the sight before going over and swooping Castor, holding him up with both arms, his legs immediately latching onto her waist wrapping them around it as her wrapped his arms around her neck

Castor purred quietly as he rested his head ontop of Pollux shoulder, it was honestly very cute

Pollux still didn't get why he was being so clingy, but whatever, she wasn't complaining 

"Let's go home then" Pollux said, earning a quiet thrill from Castor 

When they got to their technical home, Pollux looked over at the bundle of Blankets on the bed

Didn't she neat them before she went on her walk? 

Eh she probably forgot 

Pollux walked over, using her magic to move the blankets over so they were not blocking the pillows before setting Castor down and hopping on the bed herself 

Castor immediately clinged onto her, holding her arm gently

Pollux thrilled slightly as she layed against the beds headboard with Castor following, laying his head ontop of her chest as he wrapped his arms around her

Pollux giggled, Castor wasn't usually so clingy and affectionate! It was unlike him but she ain't complaining 

Pollux wrapped her arm around Castors neck as she gently pet and played with his hair

She could get used to this

Narrators POV: 

Castor was tired, Too tired

He wanted to rest

But he couldn't,he had work to do! 

Castor was very occupied and busy with a lot of work Libra had assigned him, he didn't mind it of course 

That's just how life is

You get assigned work you have to accomplish

But it was a lot of work when included with the ones the other Astrals gave him

How many assignments had he been given? He didn't count exactly but he knew it was a lot

He had been working allllll week it was tiring…

He didn't even have time to hang out with Polly…

Again with those stupid childish nicknames!? 

Castor wanted to bash himself in the head, what was wrong with him!? 

Castor sighed as he just leaned against the wall, slowly falling to the ground and rolling up into a small ball

He was tired

He didn't want to work

He wanted to sleep

But he had to suck it up

That's what they say right? 

Castor, in human words, is technically an adult, thus he should act like one

But those words felt icky

He didn't feel like an adult

He felt small

Little

Tiny

Like a baby

Why? 

He felt like those last time as well! 

What was wrong!? 

Castor felt his chest tighten, like last time, but this time it felt more painful

He wanted it stop

Nonono- don't cry, you're not allowed to cry-!

Castor sniffled as he tried to get rid of the tears that threatened to spill

He was useless

He couldn't even do simple tasks! 

It's not like the others gave him hard tasks, he was capable of doing them

But for some reason they just felt difficult to do, difficult to even finish

Why? Whywhywhy-!

Castor couldn't stop himself as he felt tears fall down his cheeks

How pathetic 

Was he really crying over some silly tasks he couldn't even finish? 

That's so pathetic 

Useless

He was so so useless 

Castor choked on his breath a bit as he tried to stop the tears flowing down

He wanted it to stop

It hurt

It hurts so much

His chest hurts

He wants his big siss- sister, sister not that silly childish term, no

He wanted Polly- Pollux dammnit! 

Why couldn't he act normal! Why was he acting like he was younger than he actually was! 

It's so frustrating 

So stupid! 

He's so stupid stupid stupid-

Castor felt himself tug his hair slightly 

Why couldn't he act normal! He should be normal! He shouldn't act like this! 

Castor sobbed silently as he hid his face in beneath his curled up state

He wanted to be small though…

He liked feeling small

It was comforting 

It was nice

But was it wrong? 

Castor hasn't seen anyone else act like this, and they were adults too

Was he just the odd one out? 

Was that why he was so casted out? 

Was that why he was so lonely? 

He didn't know anymore

Castor just sat there, feeling more lonely than he was already, feeling more burdened with his emotions than anything 

It hurt, a lot

Nebula was walking around, being ordered to…chillask? Libra said that Pollux said it was another term for take a break but even Nebula knew that was bullshit

Nebula turned the corner and paused as she saw a familiar small body, curled up in a hunched ball and is seemingly…crying?

Nebula didn't know what to do

Castor almost never crys Nebula thought

Maybe I should go…comfort him? That's what you do when someones crying right? Nebula had to think fast on what to do, otherwise she'd be standing there like an idiot, just watching Castor cry to himself 

Nebula never had much of relationship twith he Gemini twins, not had she had much of relationship with any of the Astrals, Except Libra, they were her close friend 

Nebula though, for some reason felt this sort of- feeling?  It was like what Leo called a instinct they had whenever their cubs…? Are in danger and in need of comfort, who are these said cubs? She didn't now nor did she really want to find out cause what's better than finding out one of your bosses actually has children and has been hiding it from their family and you, not really fun drama but who knows, others might think different 

Nebula shook her head, she was getting too into her internal monologue! Right now, was time to comfort Castor

... 

How does she do that though-

Nebula shook her head again as she just unconsciously took a few steps forward and kneeled down to Castors level

What the hell was she doing-

"Castor?" Nebula called out softly, careful as to not startle him

Castor slightly flinched before looking up at Nebula slightly, his eyes a bit puffy and stained with dried tears

Oh God what do I do now-

Nebula ignored her internal panic as she settled for gently cupping Castors face, slightly surprised in how fast Castor leaned into her touch

"What happened, dear?" Nebula said gently, her eyes shifting in concern as she looked at Castors saddened face

Was she even doing this comforting thing rig-

"I dunno…" Castor muttered, his voice slightly strained and hoarse from crying 

Ok that's a first

Nebula nodded slowly "you want to talk about it?" Nebula asked, nodding again as Castor shook his head, that was expected 

"Would you like me to call Pollux?" at the mention of his sister Castor immediately looked up in excitement before correcting himself and just looking down at the ground

"I-…I duno…" Castor muttered again, his voice sounding hesitate as his eyes shifted slightly 

Ok what does she do know, that's the only thing she could think of to-

"Would you like me to stay with you for a bit?" Nebula asked without thinking 

Girl- 

Nebula mentally slapped herself, of course Castor wouldn't want her to-

Nebula took her words back as Castor surprised her by nodding slowly, raising his head up at her and giving her a slight pleading look

"P-please…?" if both Castor and Pollux knew anything, it was the ability to absolutely be very cutely manipulative, they could explode the entire galaxy and all they had to do is give a slightly cute sorry and bam, everyone forgives them in an instant it ass scary

Nebula nodded as she withdrew her hand and scooted over to sit next to Castor, almost jumping as she felt Castor lean against her arm

"Sorry…" Castor muttered as he went to slightly pull away, but was surprised in Nebula wrapping her arm around his neck and having him lean against her

"It's fine" Nebula said, being caught off guard by the show of slight affection but it's not something she was objecting to

Castor just smiled slightly, something Nebula was even more caught of guard by, and just closed his eyes, enjoying her presence

Nebula looked down at Castor, she didn't know why, but she felt a sort of maternal feeling in her chest

Was this what they called the maternal instinct? 

Anywho, Nebula just hummed, her free hand going and running through Castors hair

So messy, she thought, she had to remind him to brush his hair more, or perhaps get Pollux to brush it more often, whatever, she could do that later

Nebula just leaned her head back against the wall, humming silently and petting Castors head and occasionally running her hand through his hair

She didn't expect to be doing this in her unknown free time, but she wasn't complaining

Narrators POV: 

Why did Castor agree to thi- oh right, friendship bonding stuff…

Why so late at night tho-

He didn't know

But Pollux said it'd be fun, he trusts Pollux, is Polly says it's fun it'll be fun, even if it isn't fun big sissy will always-!

…

God dammit not again! 

Why is it happening again!? 

Ugh…

"CASTORRRR" Lunars loud ass voice cuts through Castors internal monologue as they blink and look at the lunar bot with a confused look

"Huh? Yeah?" Castor mutters as they look at Lunar tiredly

"Why you spacing out" Lunar asked as he got too damn close for their liking, like that one time Pollux got forehead close to Lunar when they went to…French land or something- Castor always forgets the places he's been to a lot-

"You ok Casy?" Pollux asked, wrapping her arms around his neck as she nuzzled  her head against his in a comforting way

Castor nodded, he didn't feel like talking, why? He doesn't know, he's began to go like…silent whenever he's doing this…baby stuff…

Pollux looked at him like she did NOT believe the Amount of bullshit that wasn't even coming outta of his mouth, but didn't say anything thank Go- wait he didn't believe in that, he's a Astral

Lunar looked between the two as they gave eachother knowing stares

Is this a twin thing? Guess I know why Sun and Moon do tha weird stare too-

Lunar thought as he cleared his throat, earning the two twins attention towards him

"So! Movies?" Lunar suggested as he looked towards the poster for the new Inside out 2 movie

Pollux smiled and immediately jumped up and down in excitement, unwrapping her arms away from Castor, much to his- fuck now, we are NOT doing this again brain! 

"EEEE! YEAHYEAHYEAHYEAH! I'M SO EXCITED! I'VE NEVER- WELL- ME AND CASYS NEVER GONE TO THESE MOVIES SO I'M SOOO EXCITED!" Pollux squealed as she jumped up and down repeatedly, earning weird stares from nearby patrons walking around the mall

Lunar looked a the onlookers sheepishly as he yanked Pollux down so she would stop jumping like a monkey repeatedly 

"Yeah- I know your excited juuuust- don't make a lot of noise- especially while in  during movies, they need to be quiet to like- listen to the show they're watching, kay?" Lunar sheepishly said, his eyes shifting towards at the people passing by

"Yeah? Totally totally! I'm just so excited!" Pollux squealed 

"I know you are-" Lunar chuckled and glanced at Castors tired look, like, more tired than usual look

"Say…Lux,why don't you check the place around while me and Cas go get some snackies?" Lunar suggested with a soft tone a he looked at Castor, almost with a knowing look…

"Hm? Yeah suresuresure! This place looks so cool! Take your time!" Pollux giggled as she ran faster than light to look around the movies center

Lunar gently grasped Castors hand, startling them slightly as they looked at Lunar with a confused look, as they looked around 

"Where'd Polly-…Pollux! Pollux, go…?" Castor muttered as they looked around 

Lunars gaze softened as he gestured Castor to follow him to a slightly more isolated place

"You ok?" Lunar asked

Oh God what did I do 

Did I do something weird? 

Ohnonononono-

Castors mental breakdown was stopped as he felt Lunar place his hand over his cheek and almost cursed himself as he leaned into the touch

Oh God I've done it n-

"You small?" Lunar asked

…what? 

Castor thought and apparently also asked as Lunar smiled and graciously explained to him

"Small, as in, does your mind feel like you're a little kid? Like, you feel like a child inside but on the outside you're disagreeing with yourself because you're supposed to be an adult?"

Why did that sound…sorta with what he's been feeling lately? …

Castor thought about it, and nodded, he did feel like that recently

"That's ok, you're completely valid, ok?" Lunar reassured, placing his free hand over Castors cheek aswell

"And if anyone and I mean, ANYONE makes you feel that way…I'll make sure they won't have a mouth to say shi-…mean stuff to you anymore!" Lunar said, despite the implication behind it, it warmed Castors heart…was this what it felt to be comforted with someone that's NOT your sister?…what a dumb question of course it was! 

Castor smiled softly 

"That's a completely normal thing too, that's called age regression" 

"Age regression…?" Castor mumbled, that…did feel correct 

Lunar nodded "yep, that's a coping mechanism that some people use to deal with either trauma or just to feel like a child again, sometimes people just do that for fun!" Lunar added

Castor nodded, he did feel like he was doing this…age regression thing but there was this one thing…

"Why do I do it though…? I don't any trauma stuff…an didn't know 'bout it till now and…" 

Castor felt his chest tightened, god he hated talking about his emotions, always makes him want to cry for no apparent reason 

"Well…I don't know either, but maybe it's because your mind has internalized the feeling of being a child? I mean, you guys are astrals, you grew up in the galaxy practically, I bet it'd feel weird when seeing humans act in different personalities and have different ages, sizes and looks and- where am I even getting at-?" Lunar blushed slightly as he realized he started ranting into a completely unrelated topic

Castor smiled as he giggled slightly, Lulu wa so silly…

Lunar smiled aswell as he leaned in and kissed Castor on the forehead

"Cmon Casy, im sure Lux is practically wondering where we wondered off to" Lunar cooed softly, taking his hands away from their cheeks as he grabbed Castors hand

Castor nodded as he walked with Lunar back the way they were before

Before being tackled by his big sissy ofc

"WHERE THE HECK-ETH WHERE YOU TWO!? Y'ALL ARE TOO MEAN ISTG!!!" Pollux squealed as she wrapped her arms around Castor and buried her head against the crook of his neck

Castor almost immediately purred as he hugged Pollux back

"Yeah…sorryy…we kinda got lost and didn't find the food area…" Lunar sheepishly explained, and honestly even though he's a bad liar, Pollux was stupider

Pollux looked at Lunar as if she were contemplating on believing him before the singular braincell left

"Oh, yeah that makes sense, but DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN OTHERWISE I'LL ABSOLUTE TOSS YOUR BEHIND INTO THE WALL!" 

Lunar felt his shivers timber at the threat, his smile a bit wobbly as his eyes shifted to Castor, blinking a SOS sign

Help- pls

Castor almost didn't want to help because it was funny but Lulu was his friend so…

"Don't throw Lulu- Lunar, please?" Castor mumbled as he looked at Pollux with slight pleading eyes

Pollux practically cooed at the look, perks of having absolutely manipulative cute looks

"Aww…fine fine! You live this time Lunar! Now cmon! I wanna try those twislers stuff!" Pollux said as she held Castors hand and sprinted off

"Hey! Wait up!" Lunar yelled as he ran after them

Castor smiled slightly as he felt his chest warm a bit

Polly and Lulu were so silly…
