   “We.. we..” Lucy runs toward him, tripping on her own feet in excitement. On her way down, she catches onto him, “We did it!”

    

   Cooper's eyes lock onto Lucy's as she stumbles towards him. His gaze is drawn to her flushed, sweat stricken face, her dark brown hair disheveled from the fight. He can smell the metallic tang of blood on her skin, but it only adds to his attraction. "We sure did," he says, low and husky. Cooper wrapped his arms around to catch her, preventing her from falling face first to the ground, but when his arms wrapped around her waist, he couldn't help but inhale her scent.
