Work Text:

Felix stood in front of the towering glass building, eyes wide with a mixture of awe and anxiety. Today was his first day as an intern at one of the most prestigious companies in the city. The building itself seemed intimidating, with its sleek exterior and bustling energy, people hurrying in and out as though their lives depended on the very seconds they wasted.

Clutching his bag tightly, Felix took a deep breath, trying to calm the jittery butterflies in his stomach. He had worked hard to get here, and he wasn’t about to let nerves get in the way of making a good impression. This internship was an incredible opportunity, and he knew he had to give it everything he had.

As he stepped inside, the cool air conditioning hit him immediately, a sharp contrast to the warmth outside. The lobby was even more overwhelming than the building’s exterior. Polished floors, expensive artwork, and the constant buzz of busy professionals filled the space. Felix swallowed hard, feeling small amidst the grandeur of it all. He was used to being diligent and thorough, but this was a whole new level of professionalism. Everyone around him seemed so put together, so… adult.

Glancing at the company’s logo plastered across the reception desk, Felix reminded himself why he was here. He wanted to learn, to prove that he belonged in a place like this. He squared his shoulders and made his way to the reception desk to check in.

"Good morning! I'm Felix Lee, the new intern," he said, trying to keep his voice steady as he offered a polite smile.

The receptionist, a woman in her mid-thirties with perfectly styled hair, gave him a brief smile before checking her computer. "Ah, yes. You’re in Marketing, right?" She handed him a badge with his name on it. "Just take the elevator to the 12th floor. Your supervisor will meet you there."

Felix nodded and quickly clipped the badge onto his shirt. As he walked toward the elevators, his heart hammered in his chest. Marketing. It was where all the creativity happened, but it was also where deadlines and expectations ran high. Would he be able to keep up?

The elevator doors slid open with a soft ding, and Felix stepped inside. The ride up felt like an eternity, each floor passing with an agonizing slowness as his thoughts raced. He had heard a lot about the head of the company—Bang Chan. An innovator, a perfectionist, someone who expected nothing less than excellence. And now, Felix was going to be working under him, even if indirectly.

When the elevator finally stopped on the 12th floor, Felix stepped out into the spacious, open-plan office. The atmosphere here was different—busy, yet creative. Employees chatted in clusters while others sat at their desks, typing away furiously. The scent of fresh coffee lingered in the air, and the sound of keyboards clicking filled the space. It was almost comforting.

Before Felix could take in more of his surroundings, a voice called his name. "Felix?"

He turned around to see a man in his late twenties approaching him with a clipboard. “I’m Hyunjin, your supervisor. Welcome aboard." Hyunjin flashed a friendly smile, his long hair tied up in a bun. "You’re just in time for a brief meeting. We’ll be going over the latest project we’re working on."

Felix nodded eagerly, grateful for the warm welcome. "Thank you! I’m excited to be here."

Hyunjin gave a light chuckle. "You won’t be saying that once you’re knee-deep in paperwork," he teased. "Come on, I’ll introduce you to the team."

As Felix followed Hyunjin through the maze of desks, he couldn’t help but feel a growing sense of optimism. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all. Sure, it was intimidating, and he still had no idea how he’d keep up with the fast pace, but he was here to learn. This was his chance.

And then, right as he was about to settle into his new workspace, his first real obstacle appeared in the form of a stubborn printer.

The device whirred, blinked, and then… nothing.

Felix sighed in frustration. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” he muttered under his breath, tapping a few buttons in the hopes of restarting the machine. Of course, on his first day, the office printer would choose to malfunction just when he needed it the most.

“Come on, work, you piece of junk,” Felix groaned, louder this time, unaware of the figure approaching from behind. He jiggled the paper tray, pushed more buttons, and even whispered a quiet prayer under his breath, but the machine remained stubbornly silent. His frustration boiled over, and he let out an exasperated sigh. “Why won’t you just work?”

A deep laugh rang out from behind him, catching Felix off guard. Startled, he turned around to see none other than Bang Chan, the head of the company, leaning against the doorway of the nearby office with a knowing smile on his face. Felix’s heart skipped a beat, recognizing him immediately from the company’s website.

Chan crossed his arms, amusement dancing in his eyes. "Need some help with that?" he asked, his voice warm and teasing.

Felix froze, his face flushing pink as he realized the CEO of the entire company had just witnessed him having a full-blown argument with the office printer.

Great. Just great.

Felix’s heart raced as he turned to face the man standing in the doorway. Bang Chan, the head of the company, was not just any executive—he was the person everyone spoke of with a mix of reverence and awe. And here he was, witnessing Felix’s less-than-stellar moment with the printer.

“Uh, hi, Mr. Chan,” Felix stammered, his voice coming out as a high-pitched squeak. He fumbled with the paper in his hands, suddenly feeling acutely aware of how disheveled he must look. “I, uh, seem to be having a bit of trouble with the printer…”

Chan’s lips curled into a playful smile. “I can see that,” he said, his voice smooth and reassuring. “Looks like the printer’s got a mind of its own today.”

Felix felt his cheeks heat up as he nervously scratched the back of his head. “Yeah, it, um, doesn’t seem to want to cooperate,” he admitted, trying to sound more confident than he felt. “I’ve tried everything, but it’s still not working.”

Chan walked over to the printer, still smiling. “Let me take a look,” he offered, his tone light and easygoing. As he knelt down to inspect the machine, Felix watched him closely, feeling a mix of embarrassment and awe.

The CEO’s presence was commanding, yet there was a warmth to him that made Felix feel oddly comforted. Chan’s casual demeanor and the way he casually flipped through the printer’s manual, making small jokes about the “uncooperative” machine, made Felix’s nervousness start to fade.

“Let me guess,” Chan said with a grin, “this printer’s been plotting its rebellion all day. It heard you were coming and decided to make a dramatic entrance.”

Felix couldn’t help but chuckle, despite his embarrassment. “I guess it really wanted to make a memorable first impression.”

Chan glanced up from the printer, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Well, it certainly succeeded. And here I thought my day was going to be boring.”

As Chan continued to work on the printer, he threw more lighthearted jabs at Felix. “You know, most people yell at their computers. It’s a bit of a tradition, really. But yelling at a printer? That’s a new one.”

Felix tried to laugh it off, but his cheeks were still flushed. “I guess I wanted to make sure it got the message.”

Chan’s laughter was warm and infectious, filling the space with a friendly energy. “Well, if it helps, I think you’ve convinced it to work for now. The printer’s back to normal—or at least, it should be.”

Felix felt a rush of relief as the printer whirred back to life, finally printing the documents he needed. “Thank you so much, Mr. Chan. I really appreciate it.”

Chan stood up, brushing off his hands and looking at the badge attached to Felix’s shirt. “No problem at all, Felix. It’s part of the job description to handle stubborn machines and even more stubborn interns.”

The two shared a smile, and Felix felt a flutter in his chest. It was a simple gesture, but there was something about Chan’s presence and the way he had handled the situation that left Felix feeling warm and oddly hopeful.

He realized, with a slight pang of anxiety, that he was attracted to Chan. The boss was not only handsome but also had a charm that was hard to ignore. Felix tried to push the thought away, focusing instead on the professional setting and the need to keep things appropriate. After all, he was an intern, and Chan was his superior. It wouldn’t do to let his feelings get in the way of his job—or worse, make a fool of himself further.

“Uh, thanks again for your help,” Felix said, trying to sound casual. “I’ll make sure to keep an eye on the printer from now on.”

Chan’s smile softened, and he gave Felix an encouraging nod. “Anytime. And if you need anything else, don’t hesitate to ask. You’re doing great so far, Felix.”

As Chan walked away, Felix watched him go, a mix of admiration and frustration swirling inside him. He knew it was going to be difficult to navigate his feelings, especially with the boss so close. But for now, he had to focus on his work and prove himself, hoping that his admiration for Chan would remain just that—a harmless crush that wouldn’t interfere with his professional growth.

With a deep breath, Felix turned back to his desk, the memory of Chan’s smile lingering in his mind, if only that smile was for him and him alone.

Felix settled into his new routine at the company, feeling more confident with each passing day. The initial nervousness had faded, replaced by a genuine excitement for the work he was doing and the people he was working with. His tasks ranged from mundane office duties to more creative projects, all of which were helping him grow both professionally and personally.

Despite his growing familiarity with the job, one thing remained constant: his admiration for Bang Chan. Chan’s occasional visits to the marketing department were always a highlight of Felix’s day. The CEO had a knack for offering just the right amount of encouragement, making Felix feel valued while maintaining a respectful distance.

One Tuesday afternoon, Felix was deep in concentration, typing up a report when his phone buzzed with a new message. It was from Chan, which immediately made Felix’s heart skip a beat.

“Hi Felix, do you have a moment? I’d like to discuss some of the recent marketing strategies with you. Let me know when you’re free.”

Felix’s fingers hovered over his keyboard as he read the message. He quickly replied, “Hi Mr. Chan! I’m available now if that works for you.”

“Perfect. I’ll be over shortly,” came the prompt response.

Felix felt a mix of excitement and nerves as he tidied up his desk. Chan’s presence in the office always had a way of making his heart race. He tried to shake off the fluttery feeling in his stomach and focused on preparing for their meeting.

A few minutes later, Chan entered the marketing department with his usual confident stride, his suit jacket casually draped over his shoulder. Felix’s pulse quickened at the sight of him. Chan’s easygoing demeanor and the way he carried himself with an air of authority was both captivating and intimidating.

“Hey, Felix,” Chan greeted with a friendly smile. “Got a few minutes to talk?”

“Of course, Mr. Chan,” Felix replied, trying to sound professional despite the butterflies in his stomach. “Please, come in.”

They moved to a small conference room where Chan took a seat at the head of the table. Felix sat across from him, mentally preparing for their discussion.

“So, I’ve been reviewing the latest campaign results,” Chan began, his tone casual yet focused. “I noticed some interesting trends and wanted to get your perspective on them.”

Felix nodded eagerly. “I’d be happy to discuss them. I’ve been analyzing the data as well, and there are a few insights I think we could explore further.”

As they delved into the details of the marketing strategies, Chan’s attention was wholly on Felix. He listened intently, occasionally nodding and asking insightful questions. Felix found himself growing more confident with each response, grateful for Chan’s genuine interest and constructive feedback.

“So, what’s your take on the customer engagement metrics?” Chan asked, his eyes fixed on Felix with an encouraging smile.

Felix leaned forward, his enthusiasm evident. “I think we’re seeing a positive trend, but there’s room for improvement. I’d suggest we focus on personalized content to increase engagement further.”

Chan’s eyes lit up with appreciation. “That’s a great idea. I like the way you’re thinking. It’s refreshing to see such innovative approaches.”

Felix felt a warm flush of pride at Chan’s praise. “Thank you, Mr. Chan. I’ve been trying to incorporate more creative strategies into our campaigns.”

As the meeting wrapped up, Chan stood and extended his hand to Felix. “You’re doing an excellent job, Felix. Keep up the great work. And if you ever need anything or just want to brainstorm ideas, my door’s always open.”

Felix shook Chan’s hand, trying to ignore the spark of electricity that seemed to pass between them. “I appreciate that, Mr. Chan. I’ll definitely take you up on that offer.”

Chan gave him a reassuring smile before heading out of the conference room. Felix watched him go, feeling a mix of exhilaration and nervousness. The interaction had gone well, and Chan’s support was incredibly encouraging. But Felix couldn’t shake the growing realization that his feelings for Chan were becoming harder to ignore.

Over the following weeks, their interactions continued to be a blend of professional and personal. Chan would occasionally drop by the marketing department to check in on Felix’s progress, and their conversations often extended beyond work. They’d share light-hearted banter, discuss new ideas, and sometimes, their conversations would linger on more personal topics.

One Friday evening, the office was unusually quiet. Most of the employees had already left for the weekend, and Felix was working late to finish up a project. The dim lighting and the stillness of the empty office created an almost serene atmosphere.

Felix was deeply engrossed in his work when he heard the soft click of a door opening. He looked up, surprised to see Chan standing in the doorway, his suit jacket now draped over his arm.

“Felix? I didn’t expect to see anyone still here,” Chan said, his tone warm and friendly.

Felix blinked in surprise, his eyes wide. “Mr. Chan! I didn’t think you’d be here this late either.”

Chan chuckled softly as he walked into the office. “Just tying up a few loose ends. It seems we’re both burning the midnight oil.”

Felix laughed nervously, feeling the awkwardness of the situation. “Yeah, just trying to get this report done before the weekend. I didn’t realize how late it was.”

Chan nodded, his gaze lingering on Felix. “Well, if you’re up for a break, I could use some company. It’s a bit lonely in here after hours.”

Felix’s heart skipped a beat at the suggestion. “Sure, that sounds nice.”

They moved to a small lounge area in the office, where Chan settled into a comfortable chair and Felix took a seat across from him. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the faint hum of the office lights provided a soothing background noise.

“So, what’s been keeping you busy?” Chan asked, leaning back in his chair with a curious smile.

Felix took a deep breath, trying to shake off the lingering nerves. “Just working on a new marketing campaign. It’s been a bit of a challenge, but I’m excited about the results.”

Chan nodded, clearly interested. “That’s great to hear. I’ve been keeping an eye on your progress, and I’m really impressed with what you’ve been doing.”

Felix felt a rush of warmth at Chan’s praise. “Thanks. That means a lot coming from you.”

As they chatted, Felix found himself more at ease. Chan’s presence was calming, and their conversation flowed naturally. It was a welcome change from the formality of their usual interactions.

After a while, Chan stretched and glanced at his watch. “Well, I should probably get going soon. But I’m glad we had a chance to catch up.”

Felix nodded, feeling a twinge of disappointment. “Yeah, me too. It’s nice to have a break from the usual routine.”

Chan stood up, and Felix followed suit. As they walked toward the exit, Chan suddenly stopped and turned to Felix with a playful grin. “You know, I never thought I’d see the day when both the CEO and an intern would be working late together. It’s a bit like a movie scene, don’t you think?”

Felix laughed, the tension easing from his shoulders. “Yeah, I guess it is. Just missing the dramatic background music.”

Chan chuckled and reached out, lightly ruffling Felix’s hair in a friendly gesture. “Well, it’s been a pleasure, Felix. Keep up the great work, and I’ll see you on Monday.”

Felix looked up at Chan, his heart fluttering at the unexpected touch. “Thanks, Mr. Chan. Have a good weekend.”

Chan gave him a warm smile before heading out the door. Felix watched him leave, feeling a mix of admiration and longing. The late-night encounter had been both awkward and endearing.

With a hopeful smile, Felix headed out of the office, ready to enjoy his weekend, even if he was only going to sleep and read.

The office was abuzz with the usual end-of-day activity. People were wrapping up their tasks, chatting with colleagues, and preparing to head out for the day. But amidst the hustle and bustle, Felix felt a quiet sense of detachment. It was his birthday, but he preferred to keep things low-key and didn’t mention it to anyone at the office. He wasn’t one for grand celebrations or making a fuss. His plan was simple: finish up his work, sneak out quietly, and spend the evening in solitude.

By the time the clock struck 6 PM, most of his colleagues had already left. Felix was the last one remaining, his desk a clutter of papers and empty coffee cups. He was just finishing up the last of his tasks, eager to head home and put the day behind him.

As he shut down his computer, he heard the faint sound of footsteps approaching. Felix looked up, expecting to see one of the cleaning staff or maybe someone who had forgotten something. To his surprise, it was Bang Chan, looking as composed and charismatic as ever.

“Hey, Felix,” Chan said with a warm smile. “Still here?”

Felix straightened up, feeling a mix of surprise and nervousness. “Oh, Mr. Chan. Yeah, just finishing up. I didn’t realize it was so late.”

Chan nodded, his eyes twinkling with something Felix couldn’t quite place. “I was just about to head out myself when I noticed you were still here. I wanted to talk to you about something.”

Felix’s curiosity was piqued. “Sure, what’s up?”

Chan gestured toward the door. “Why don’t we step into the conference room? It’s a bit quieter there.”

Felix followed Chan through the office, trying to ignore the flutter of nerves in his stomach. They entered the conference room, and Felix was immediately struck by the sight before him.

A small cake sat on the conference table, surrounded by a few colorful balloons and a tiny birthday crown. The room was softly lit by the warm glow of a few candles that had been set up around the table. It was a simple setup, but the gesture was incredibly thoughtful.

Felix’s eyes widened in surprise, his heart fluttering at the sight. “Mr. Chan, what’s this?”

Chan smiled, clearly pleased with Felix’s reaction. “I noticed in the system last week that today is your birthday. I know you didn’t mention it, but I thought it would be nice to celebrate a little. It’s not much, but I hope it makes your day a bit brighter.”

Felix felt a lump form in his throat. He was touched by Chan’s thoughtfulness and the effort he had put into organizing this small surprise. “I… I don’t really like to make a big deal out of my birthday. I was just going to head home and keep it quiet.”

Chan shook his head, his expression sincere. “I understand. But everyone deserves to have their birthday acknowledged, especially someone who works as hard as you do. And I thought it would be a nice way to show my appreciation for everything you’ve done here.”

Felix felt a rush of warmth at Chan’s words. He glanced at the cake and the crown, a small smile tugging at his lips. “This is really sweet, Mr. Chan. Thank you.”

Chan chuckled softly. “You’re welcome. I hope you don’t mind the little celebration. It’s just a small token of appreciation.”

Felix’s eyes met Chan’s, and for a moment, he felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and affection. The simple gesture of kindness meant more to him than he could express.

“Would you like to cut the cake?” Chan asked, his eyes twinkling with genuine enthusiasm.

Felix nodded, feeling a surge of happiness. “Sure. That sounds great.”

Chan helped Felix cut the cake, and they shared a few slices together, chatting about work and other light-hearted topics. The conversation was easy and relaxed, and Felix found himself enjoying the moment more than he had anticipated.

As they finished up, Felix took a deep breath and turned to Chan with a heartfelt smile. “Thank you again, Mr. Chan. This really means a lot to me. I didn’t expect anything like this, and it’s made my day special.”

Chan’s smile softened, and he reached out, lightly placing a hand on Felix’s shoulder. “I’m glad you enjoyed it. You deserve to have a happy birthday, even if you prefer to keep it low-key.”

Felix felt a shiver at the touch, but it was a pleasant one. He looked up at Chan, his eyes full of appreciation. “Thank you. I really mean it.”

Chan nodded, giving Felix a reassuring smile.

As they wrapped up and prepared to leave, Felix felt a deep sense of contentment. The unexpected birthday celebration had turned out to be a memorable and touching experience. It was a reminder of the kindness and support he had found in his work environment, and it made him appreciate his role and the people around him even more.

With one last smile at Chan, Felix gathered his things and headed out of the office, feeling a renewed sense of happiness. The small celebration had added a special touch to his birthday.

As weeks passed following Felix's birthday surprise, the office environment felt increasingly charged with a subtle, yet undeniable, tension between Felix and Bang Chan. What started as a simple, thoughtful gesture had blossomed into a deeper, more personal connection. Their interactions, once strictly professional, now carried an undercurrent of something more intimate.

Felix and Chan continued to work closely together, often finding themselves sharing moments that went beyond mere work discussions. Chan would frequently stop by the marketing department, not just to check on progress but to engage in casual conversations that often lasted longer than necessary. Felix, in turn, found himself looking forward to these visits, eagerly anticipating the friendly banter and meaningful exchanges.

One chilly Friday afternoon, as Felix was working on a new project, he heard a knock on his office door. It was Chan, holding a stack of documents and a warm smile.

“Hey, Felix,” Chan greeted, his voice carrying a hint of familiarity that made Felix’s heart flutter. “Got a minute?”

“Of course, Mr. Chan,” Felix replied, trying to keep his composure as he gestured for Chan to come in.

Chan took a seat across from Felix, his demeanor relaxed. “I was just going over some of the new marketing strategies you proposed. I have to say, I’m impressed with your work. You’ve really brought a lot of creativity to the table.”

Felix felt a blush creep up his cheeks at Chan’s praise. “Thank you. I’ve been putting a lot of effort into it.”

Chan leaned forward slightly, his gaze softening. “I can tell. And it’s not just the work you do—it’s the way you approach it. Your dedication is inspiring.”

Their eyes locked for a moment, and Felix felt a pang of warmth in his chest. The intensity of Chan’s gaze was both comforting and exhilarating. He had grown accustomed to Chan’s presence, but lately, their interactions had started to feel more personal and meaningful.

As the days went by, Chan began to make more frequent appearances in Felix’s life. He would often bring coffee or small treats, surprising Felix with little acts of kindness that brightened his day. They would chat about their favorite books, movies, and even share personal anecdotes from their lives outside of work.

One evening, as they were finishing up a project together, Chan suggested they grab dinner. Felix hesitated for a moment, then agreed, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

They decided on a cozy little café near the office, a place known for its relaxed atmosphere and delicious comfort food. Over plates of pasta and shared laughter, the conversation flowed effortlessly. Chan’s easy charm and genuine interest in Felix made the evening feel both intimate and natural.

As they finished their meal, Chan reached across the table, lightly touching Felix’s hand. “I’ve really enjoyed spending time with you, Felix. It’s been nice to get to know you better outside of the office.”

Felix’s heart raced at the touch, but he managed a shy smile. “I’ve enjoyed it too. It’s been a nice change of pace.”

Chan’s expression grew more serious, his eyes searching Felix’s. “You know, I’ve been thinking a lot and I can’t help but feel like there’s something more here—something worth exploring.”

Felix felt a surge of emotions, his cheeks flushing. “I’ve been feeling the same way. But I wasn’t sure if you felt the same.”

Chan’s smile returned, this time with a hint of relief. “I do. And I’d like to see where this could go, if you’re open to it.”

Felix’s heart swelled with happiness, and he nodded. “I’d like that. I really would.”

From that moment on, their relationship began to evolve into something more than just colleagues or friends. Their connection deepened with each passing day, and they started to explore the romantic aspect of their relationship more openly.

The office became a backdrop to their blossoming romance, filled with stolen glances, subtle touches, and shared moments that only they understood. They would often find excuses to be near each other, whether it was discussing work projects or simply enjoying each other’s company during lunch breaks.

One evening, as they worked late in Chan’s office, the atmosphere was unusually charged. Felix was seated on the couch, his laptop open but forgotten, while Chan stood near the window, looking out at the city lights. They had been talking about their dreams and aspirations, the conversation flowing seamlessly between them.

Felix felt a surge of affection and longing as he looked at Chan. Without thinking, he stood up and walked over to where Chan stood, his heart pounding in his chest. “Chan, I… I’ve been thinking a lot about us and about what the future holds.”

Chan turned to face Felix, his expression soft and attentive. “What are you thinking?”

Felix took a deep breath, feeling vulnerable but determined. “I want to be with you, more than just in the office. I’m planning to look for a new job after my internship ends, somewhere that will allow us to be together more easily.”

Chan’s eyes widened in surprise and delight. “Felix, that’s… a lot to do. Don’t get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to be with you without any judgment, but I need to make sure you’re sure.”

Felix nodded “I’m sure,” his voice trembling slightly. “But I also know that our relationship will have to remain a secret until I’m no longer your employee. I don’t want to deal with all my coworkers' judgement for dating my boss, but it’s important to me that we make this work.”

Chan stepped closer to Felix, closing the distance between them. His hand gently cupped Felix’s cheek, and he looked deeply into his eyes. “We’ll figure it out. And no matter what, I’m committed to making this work with you.”

Felix felt a rush of emotion and took a step closer, their faces just inches apart. Chan’s gaze was filled with a mix of tenderness and passion, and Felix felt his heart race.

Without another word, Chan leaned in and captured Felix’s lips in a kiss that was both deep and passionate. The kiss was slow and lingering, a blend of their longing and desire. Chan’s lips moved against Felix’s with a deliberate slowness, savoring every moment. His hands cradled Felix’s face, his thumbs gently brushing against his cheeks as the kiss deepened.

Felix’s arms wrapped around Chan’s neck, pulling him closer as the kiss grew more intense. The warmth of Chan’s body against his own was comforting and exhilarating. Their breaths mingled, and the world outside seemed to fade away, leaving only the heat of their connection. Felix felt every sensation amplified—the way Chan’s lips brushed against his, the soft caress of his fingers, and the powerful emotions swirling within him.

When they finally pulled away, both of them were breathless, their foreheads resting against each other. Chan’s eyes were filled with affection, and Felix couldn’t help but smile.

“That was…” Felix started, his voice soft and trembling.

“…perfect,” Chan finished, his smile matching Felix’s. “I’ve been wanting to do that for a while.”

Felix’s cheeks flushed with happiness, and he nodded. “I’m glad you did.”

As their relationship continued to grow, so did the rumors circulating about them. Whispers of their closeness began to spread among the staff, and some of their colleagues started to notice the undeniable chemistry between them. While Chan and Felix tried to keep their relationship private, the office buzzed with speculation and curiosity.

Felix and Chan mostly chose to ignore the rumors rather than address them directly. The gossip didn’t impact their relationship significantly; instead, they focused on being more discreet with it.

As the weeks turned into months, Felix and Chan continued to navigate the delicate balance between their personal and professional lives. The rumors about their relationship simmered in the background, but Felix and Chan remained steadfast in their commitment to each other. They chose to embrace their love quietly, cherishing the moments they could share without the scrutiny of the public eye.

Their relationship grew stronger with each passing day. Felix’s decision to look for a new job after his internship came to fruition, allowing them more freedom to explore their relationship outside the confines of the office. They spent their weekends together, enjoying simple pleasures like cooking meals, watching movies, and strolling through parks. These moments of normalcy and intimacy became the foundation of their connection.
