After dropping a tweet today asking GEMMS for their celebrity crushes outside of GLAMM, Noeul responded to several replies, revealing many things. 1. He knows what the Big Tittie Committee is. 2. He’s a Deadpool fan. 3. He is aware of and a fan of(?) celebrity Thai actor Prapai. That last one has been stirring up fans because of his peculiar reply, calling the person who mentioned the actor his ‘favorite GEM’.

I have a very exciting announcement, stay tuned for my live later today!! 📣📣📣

Rain excitedly clicks the button to go live. He checks a couple of diagnostics as the first viewers stream in, bouncing from foot to foot. Sky is standing in front of him, out of view of the phone camera, smirking. ‘Calm down’, he mouths, clearly amused. Rain shakes his head. “Hi everyone, I am here with a very important announcement. And, I’ll say it now, it is an official announcement. My manager’s right there.” He points, but doesn’t actually turn the camera. “This is, like, real. And I’ll show you the proof in just a second.” The view count is climbing and climbing. A lot of sources and accounts, more and less reputable, had started talking about his tweet early, but really, this is not going to get its proper audience until after he’s done. Plenty of fans of the others might not even know who he is.

Sky looks around and nods to Rain, “You’re good. Time to start performing, Noeul.” Rain can’t resist giggling at his friend’s teasing, but he pushes off the wall.

“All right, everyone, it’s time for me to show you around,” he winks. Then, he walks out a couple of steps and starts turning slowly, showing the scenery behind him. He’s showing off his favorite part of the set, bathed in bright, industrial lights at the moment but still resembling a comfortable bar and lounge. He waits a few seconds for it to sink in for anyone who might recognize this particular set. “This is Noeul Lee, my friends call me Rain, coming to you live from my newest gig, the set of Secret Findings!” He stops again, letting people get out their pure screaming in the live chat. “Now, this is my first major acting role, but my company has been building my repertoire. I promise to act for my life here, and I’ll do my very best not to disappoint.” He’s rambling a bit, which he tries to avoid when he’s working, but it doesn’t seem too bad. As long as he veers toward humble then it shouldn’t matter if he talks a lot.

”No way!” Prapai pops up beside him, slinging his arm around Rain’s shoulders and leaning into the camera. He’s all half-unbuttoned shirts and easy confidence, as per irritatingly usual. Rain has no idea how he does it. “I know some people, including fans of mine, unfortunately, are gonna come at him because the big secret actor isn’t a well known actor or something. But Rain’s great, there’s no way you guys are gonna be disappointed. Come on, we are meant to show them around the set.”

”I am,” Rain retorts teasingly. “You have other work you’re meant to be doing. But I guess you’re my cohost now.” He grins at the camera. “This is Rain and Prapai, coming to live from the set of Secret Findings.”

It’s official. Our very own @noeul-lee-GLAMM is guest starring in the highly anticipated show Secret Findings! Not too much is known about the project as of right now, but the creators are calling it a heartfelt drama that means to say something. Noeul is predicted to be in some, not all, episodes. From there, we can only hypothesize.

@glammleaveqxent And there are some hypotheses to be made, but i wanted to keep the main post strictly factual. The excessive promotion and tightly kept secret of Noeul’s involvement MIGHT imply that his role will specifically hold some plot significance, perhaps to do with that deeper message the producers want to send. If this is true, that he is plot relevant but not one of the main characters, then I would anticipate that his role will be in the latter half of the season, maybe with an appearance or two early on.

@glammleaveqxent @peachhhh I’m a fan of Prapai’s and one of the people highly anticipating the show. I don’t know much about Noeul (still confused about the Rain thing) but from what I saw on the live and what I’ve been looking into since, he’s going to be great for the show!

@glammleaveqxent @theerapanyakunactorsbiggeststan I’m so glad that he’s getting outside support, because Noeul has been noted for his strong ability to perform and put on a show in terms of everything from their live performances to music videos! As for the name thing, while Kuea is Thai, working with a Korean company, both Noeul and Jeong-woo are Thai-Korean. They both use their Korean name as their stage name, so while those around them tend to refer to them by their nicknames (which are more serious in Thai culture but thats a whole other thing) fans and such usually stick to their stage names! Noeul’s Thai name is Rain, and Jeong-woo’s is Team (yes, his stupid twitter handle is a pun, we love him).

Rain promptly closes twitter. He loves the inside jokes and knows how to take the less serious jabs of his fans, he has been in plenty of fandoms in his time, he gets it. Even the harem jokes were funny, it’s the sort of joke he would love in some show he’s obsessed with. He can’t actually talk about his sexuality, Korean culture isn’t super open to queer people, he can at least make jokes that stir up fans’ nature. You know, actually being willing to consider that he might not be straight, unlike mainstream media. But it’s never been like this before.

It’s different, somehow, when someone calls out that he might be flirting with Phayu. Phayu is put together and calm, always sensible, handsome and respected. Phayu is on another level. In the short time Rain has known him, he’s been great. He’s been helping Rain around set a lot, and they’ve become friends. Phayu is different from Prapai, even. Prapai is handsome and charismatic, and sure Rain gets a bit flustered thinking about acting with him, but Phayu is the definition of tall, dark, and handsome. He’s hot, really hot, and Rain definitely does not have budding feelings for him because that would be a disaster. It’s easier to hide the fact that he’s bisexual when he isn’t actively crushing on a man!

”Rain,” Sky says softly, leaning in against his shoulder. “I can hear you overthinking.” There’s a kind smile on his lips and concern in his eyes. Sky has been the best on set, better than Phayu or anyone else. He gets Rain’s anxiety, he gets everything about Rain, and he knows the stresses, too. He’s been doing everything he can to support Rain, this is an incredible opportunity, after all.

”I’m just overly stressed,” Rain sighs, dropping his head back against the wall. “I’m so anxious about the main thing that I’m getting anxious about everything.” Sky ruffles his hair sympathetically.

“Don’t worry,” he smiles, “I’ve got’cha. Besides, today’s your last day on set for a while. Maybe start worrying about all the stuff Kuea’s got on your schedule instead of our dear producer.”

Rain groans, “Oh my gosh, Kuea’s going to go crazy on me. Or Ple! Kuea’s got samples and partially constructed songs already, she’s gonna drag me into starting choreo! God, I’m gonna get the work out of my life, huh?”

”Don’t worry,” Sky soothes. “You’re having a comeback in a few months, you’ve got a lot of promotional material on your schedule.” Rain groans again, looking at him pleadingly as if his manager could do anything about it.

“Damn, you sound busier than us,” Prapai strolls up to them, smiling widely.

“I’m always busy,” Rain sighs dramatically. “You do your acting. I perform, promote, record, train, and now, apparently, act.”

Prapai shrugs, “Honestly? Fair enough. But we’re up, now.” He winks at Rain, as if he isn’t the one who’s about to have to act all nervous and sheepish while Rain gets to have all the fun.

Sky drags him up by the shoulder, “You want to rest, finish quick. You’ll have the rest of today if you finish early.”

Rain stands on the edge of the set, decorated like a bar, as Prapai takes up the position that would set up the transition when edited together. They haven’t filmed that scene yet, because of Rain’s scheduling they have him here in the early days to film his first appearances and then he won’t be back until near the end of filming.

Cameras rolling, Prapai looks around hesitantly, and Rain strolls onto set. He really quite likes his costuming for all of this. Embroidered silks and golden chains wrapped around his frame, giving him an aura of easy arrogance and mystery, while making him feel very pretty. The sort of beauty that makes one powerful, which is the point of dressing his character this way. “Well, well,” he grins, “Look what we have here. You’re out of your depth, tiger cub.” Prapai stares at him, eyes a mix of wonder and fear. “You meddle with forces beyond your understanding.”

”I’m not afraid,” Prapai finally says. “So are you another enemy?”

Rain chuckles, “That entirely depends on you. I bear no ill will, I assure you. Perhaps even some good will, I pity a poor mortal cast into this so suddenly. Although, you do seem to be holding your own. How about a gift, is there something you seek? I would gladly help you.”

”You still haven’t told me who you are,” Prapai points out. He shifts his feet subtly, eyeing Rain with suspicion. “Phiphek,” Rain smiles, strolling forward. “You’re afraid because you can sense that I am a demon. Fear not, Phra Ram—”

”That’s not my name,” Prapai growls.

Rain steps closer, leaving little distance between them, “Ram, then? The name your dear mortal parents gave you? I suppose you only wield his power, like I do. You are hardly Phra Ram himself. So what is it you want, Ram? My offer still stands.”

Prapai flicks his eyes up and down Rain’s body, “You… are a demon? Demons are chasing me.”

”Demons are individuals. I might say humans are chasing me, does that make every single one of you my enemy?” Rain pulls Prapai in by his collar, “Come on, there must be something more interesting that some information on this spat you have. Believe me, this troublemaker is not your true enemy.”

”Who is?” Prapai asks desperately. “What must I do, what is happening?”

”I don’t have to help you,” Rain sighs, releasing Prapai’s collar and stepping back. He isn’t good at showing disapproval and disappointment as a person, but it's much easier to express things like that when he is acting. “Make it interesting and I will.”

Prapai pauses, then takes a slow breath. This time, he closes the gap between them, looking down slightly to make eye contact with Rain. “What about me do you find so interesting?”

”There's a good question,” Rain purrs. “You hold more power than you realize, nothing is as it seems. But you might actually be capable of holding your own.” Rain twists his hand, deftly producing a ring, hoping it came out well enough to not have to reshoot a dozen times to make it look ’magical’. “A gift, for you. You’re but a cub right now, but you might grow into a fearsome tiger yet. I’m willing to help you survive your more pathetic times in order to witness that magnificence.”

Prapai reaches up hesitantly, and Rain shoots out his other hand. Holding the other man steady, he slips the ring onto his finger. Prapai shudders subtly, “What does it do?”

Rain winks, “That’s for you to figure out, handsome warrior. Consider it a test, to prove yourself worthy of the reward.” He steps backward, and holds still for a moment.

“Cut!” The producer yells. “Great work, Lee Noeul, that was perfect!”

Rain smiles sheepishly, “What do we need re-done?”

The producer smiles and shakes his head, “No, no, that was perfect.” Rain blinks, not fully processing the praise, and Prapai claps him on the shoulder.

“That means no reshoots, Rain,” Prapai teases. “Means we were perfect.” People around the set have been giving their compliments, and one of the assistants comes forward to offer them drinks. Rain accepts the distraction gratefully.

“Excellent work, Rain,” Sky offers from where he sits, cross legged on the floor. “You’ve got the hard part down, now we just need like three unique scenes of you brooding suspiciously.”

That is actually the annoying part, because his makeup is sort of complex and he keeps needing to change clothes for the various shots. Prapai will not even be on the same set to keep him entertained. But the tiresome task does finally come to an end.

Yeah, noeul looks alright but doesn’t this just go to show that they brought noeul on for his looks. He’s a visual isn’t he? Like, I’m worried about what acting skill he could possibly be bringing to the table, esp alongside Prapai.

Just cus Noeul’s hot doesn’t mean he’s pure visual, he’s a great dancer and performer, that’s why he got cast. Don’t hate on him just because you don’t like the fact that idols do actually have skills when you want to pretend they’re just pretty and nothing else. Like damn your insecurity is showing.

Someone has to look after you.” He squeezes the younger man’s hand. “You’ll be out of here in no time, but you shouldn’t be alone.” Rain smiles shyly, looking away.

The boy is far too unconcerned with his own wellbeing, Phayu worries about him. He focuses so much on doing well, he’s a serial people pleaser. Phayu doesn’t even know where all of Rain’s anxiety comes from, all the idol does is portray skill after skill. ”I feel bad,” Rain admits softly. “I caused a big fuss, and I was supposed to go live today!”

”With Kuea,” Phayu reminds, “Who you insisted do so anyway. So the live is still happening.”

”I know, I know,” Rain whines, sufficiently chastised.

After a lot of secrecy, Jeong-woo’s promotional project is releasing tomorrow! Advertisements go live at midnight!

Team laughs at the post despite himself, or really laughs at the comments. He gets why Rain enjoys the fans sometimes, it doesn’t feel bad that this many people think he’s hot. “Staring at your own praise is a little stuck up, isn’t it?” Win leans over his shoulder to look at Team’s phone.

”It’s hilarious,” he shrugs. “Gotta enjoy it before you outshine me.” He squints against the sun as he looks up at his friend, but he can’t bring himself to not enjoy the fresh air and lack of industrial lighting.

Win raises an eyebrow, “You’re the idol.”

”And you’re the athlete with a cult social media following,” Team laughs. With his slight concern about Rain’s injury subsided, he has been in a very good mood. He hasn’t seen his senior in a long time, since they were on the same swim team in high school, and running into him here almost felt like destiny. Getting to reconnect with Win was a stroke of fate. “You’re gonna steal my spotlight.”

”Aw, you poor thing,” Win teases.

“Team!” Someone yells, a girl handing out the window of a car as it pulls up.

Team laughs, “Manow, you look like a crazy fan girl.” Manow shrivels up her face, “Ew, not for you.” Once the car pulls to a full stop, she jumps out of the car. “You’re not cute enough for fangirls.” Team raises an eyebrow and holds up his phone, but his friend just rolls her eyes. She swings the car door shut and bounces over, briefly greeting Win, then turning back to Team to sneer again. It’s kind of upsetting that one of the greatest insults to one of his closest friends is insinuating that she’s a fan of his work. Like come on, he’s good at what he does.

“Manow, chill,” Pharm slips out of the driver's seat. “Come on, wait five minutes before you start a fight.” He turns to Team and Win. “P’Win,” he greets politely.

“Hello, Pharm,” Win returns the smile. Looking down to Team, he adds, “You’ll be going then?”

”I do not get a lot of days off, I’m outta here,” Team grins. He stands up and raises his arms above his head, stretching out his spine. “I’ll see you later, though. Have fun working, Hia.” Win smacks him over the head as he ducks away, waving goodbye as he slides into the backseat of his friend’s car.

“You look worn out,” Manow teases, leaning into the back from the passenger seat.

”I’ve been working for, like, a week straight,” Team defends. “I’m ready to chill out for, like, twenty four hours straight. But today wasn’t as busy, at least. And I’m sorry about that, Pharm. It was a light day, so you didn’t get to see your favorite senior.”

Pharm does not take his eyes off the road, “What do you mean?”

Manow cackles, “Don’t worry, I’m sure that once all the ads come out, a half naked P’Dean will be plastered all over his walls.”

”Manow!” Pharm shrieks, much more reactive to the much more explicit teasing. He has the self control to not do much more than tighten his fists on the steering wheel, thankfully, but he does shoot Team an accusatory look in the rear-view mirror. “Oh my god, I had a crush on him in high school!”

”And every off hand time you’ve met him since,” Team argues right back. “You can’t see the man without turning pink. It’s a bit more than a high school crush when you’re still blushing over him in your twenties.”

Pharm groans, “I hate you both.”

”See,” Team says to Manow, “He’s grumpy because P’Dean wasn’t here on the day he showed up.”

As Manow continues taking the piss out of Pharm, his phone buzzes. Win sent him a text with an image attachment reading only ‘did you know they were using this one lol’. Slightly concerned by that sentence, Team opens the message immediately. He is promptly greeted by a picture of him and Win at the photoshoot.

Team remembers this, it was while they were working and Team made a stupid joke, he doesn’t even remember what he said. But the picture was snapped at the perfect moment, with Team leaning in slightly, grinning up at Win, and Win looking equal part exasperated and fond.

“Oh, fuck me,” he says aloud. He remembers the photographer showing him that picture, approving of how ‘natural’ it came out, but he didn’t realize it was going to be in a train station with the words: ‘Speedo, the world’s leading swimwear brand’ or something.

Unfortunately, the slightly-too-intimate photo lowered Team’s defenses, and Manow snatches the phone out of his hand. “Oh my god,” she laughs. As they pull to a red light, she holds the device out to Pharm, “Imagine just straight up being outed to the whole world!”

”It’s not that bad!” Team insists. “…Right? God, this is terrible. How come I don’t get a say in which pictures they use!”

”There are exclusively pictures of you half naked going up around the country and only now are you getting embarrassed?” Pharm chuckles. “At least I’m not the only one who dragged their high school crush into adulthood.”

”I thought I didn’t! We’re friends, it’s so natural, we get along, but I’m looking at that stupid picture and—”

”Realizing that you’re still down bad?” Manow asks. “Because I could’ve told you that. It’s not really your fault that a little fifteen year old Team was still figuring out his sexuality was met with a very attractive and charming senior on his swim team who he proceeded to spend so much time shirtless with. Who wouldn’t imprint, honestly?”

”There was something utterly terrible about how you said any of that,” Team groans. “It isn’t that bad, right? Like, of course I think he’s hot, anyone who’s attracted to men would think so.”

Manow looks back at him, teasing while also sympathetic, “You should probably figure it out, you know. Simplify it as much as possible.”

”How?” Team asks miserably, “This doesn't feel simple.”

”Just take your time,” Manow explains, “And figure out if you want to have one night of wild sex with him or wake up next to him every morning. Lust versus love, simple as.” Both Team and Pharm start scolding her at that, because even if Team usually finds her vulgar humor hilarious, it isn’t as funny when he’s the target.

And Pharm still needs you to maintain plausible deniability about approaching P’Dean because he doesn’t have the ball otherwise.”

GLAMM were all close friends even as trainees, so there’s a strong chance that Noeul knew some of the people around Kuea or Jeong-woo. There’s also a STRONG possibility that Noeul met one of both Theerapanyakuns in their current sphere, celebrity, and realized they had mutual friends. Rain has one trump card, considering he started something he immediately lost control of. He doesn’t even greet the person who answers the phone. “P’Phayu, you go to all these fancy events, right? I know you do, it’s a whole thing for you, right?”

“You’re freaking out, aren’t you?” Phayu has the gall to sound amused. “You’re this worried about what to wear?”

”I publicly asked out your cousin and Park So-mi,” Rain groans. “Even if it’s as a joke, there’s going to be a lot of cameras!”

”Okay, okay,” Phayu soothes, even though he still sounds like he finds the whole thing funny. “It was pretty brave actually, you really want to cover for Kuea, huh?”

Rain sighs, “The whole ‘partner’ thing is getting backlash from homophobes, and they haven’t even revealed that Kuea’s actually engaged to a man. Besides, all three of us are queer, not to mention Prapai, and I’m kinda sick of all of it. I guess I’m making a statement?”

“I understand that,” Phayu chuckles. “Here.” He video calls Rain, who immediately holds up the shirt in his hand.

“Prapai’s probably gonna wear red, right?” He demands. “And I can pull off red, I think, but I’m sort of feeling this black shirt. It’s got, like, hold on,” he rifles around in the mess of clothes around him, “It’s got this silver star embroidery on the back, it’s a personal favorite of mine.”

Phayu nods, “To answer your question, Prapai does especially like red, but I can’t be sure. And you might be better off with the black. For one thing, black goes with everything, and for another, it’ll be better for your nerves if you’re wearing something you like.” He is smiling softly and not taking his eyes off of Rain, and it hits him very suddenly that this was a bad idea. Why did Rain think asking Phayu, or all people, would ease his nerves? Having Phayu judge the way he looks is not easing anything.

“Yeah, um, but I have no idea what pants to wear then, that’s the problem. If it was the red shirt, I could wear, like, simple black slacks, but with the black shirt I wouldn’t necessarily want to?” Rain’s only hope is to mask his growing hot-guy panic behind public appearance panic.

“Do you have any white pants?” Phayu asks, “or something to match the embroidery? Or if you have stylized pants then you would be okay with more black.”

Rain blinks, “Hold on a second.” He has these loose, flowy white pants that have a tight waistband. He pulls out a different black shirt, this one cropped short. “It isn’t my pretty star embroidered one, but this works with this.” He puts his phone up on his desk and steps back. “Thoughts?” He’s looking at the back in the mirror, so it takes him a moment to realize there is no reply. “Phayu?”

”Yeah,” Phayu rushes. He looks normal when Rain looks at him, “You look good.” And Rain is examining the back of his outfit again, to hide his flushing face. “You should tie your hair back.” He walks up to the mirror to play with his hair. it is getting longer, to the point where he probably should ask his stylist about tying it up. “Do the top half,” Phayu suggests, “leave it half down.”

”Oo, maybe!” He starts pulling at his hair, but he can’t seem to tame the fly away. “God, this is why I have stylists. I’m hopeless, with my hair, at least. I need to cut it.”

”You like it short?” Phayu asks.

“Mm… not necessarily,” Rain shrugs. “It’s more manageable short, I guess.”

”I get that, but it looks pretty when it’s long,” Phayu hums. Rain freezes mid hair-tug.

“You, uh, you think so?” His voice is embarrassingly high pitched. “I mean, I do like it, I’d just need to figure out what to do with it.”

“I can think of a few things,” Phayu supplies.

”What?” Rain squeaks, immediately having his whole face heat up at the possible implications of that freaking sentence.

“I’ve had my hair long for a while, I think you’d look nice with it tied up in a couple of ways.”

”Right, right,” Rain smiles weakly, scolding himself internally. “Thanks for that. And this, too, really. You’re a miracle worker.”

Phayu laughs, “I talked to you for five minutes while you figured yourself out. Give yourself a bit more credit. You’re gonna have a great time on your date.”

”Oh, please don’t say that. It’s terrible, it’s not a real date,” Rain insists.

”Yeah, but does that matter?” Phayu really is actually enjoying this, the bastard.

Rain sighs, “Because if it is a sorta real date, then my first real date is a not real date.”

”You’ve never been on a date before?” Phayu is smiling, looking amused. There’s a glint in his eyes that Rain can’t quite place.

“I became a trainee when I was fourteen,” Rain explains. He isn’t exactly embarrassed, but for some reason talking about it to Phayu of all people is making his body temp spike. “I kissed one girl in my second year of high school. Once I started picking up steam, I never wanted to accept any of the confessions. Felt weird. Team’s had one instance of really serious feelings and has been in denial about it for… six years? Kuea’s been pining after the guy he’s been engaged to since he was three and has only started dealing with those feelings, like, eight months ago. I don’t have a lot of exposure to healthy, casual dating.”

Phayu raises an eyebrow, “Fair enough, but to be honest, I don’t think many idols do. Or child actors, or anything like that.”

”I feel much better,” Rain deadpans. “But seriously, Phi, thanks. I owe you one.”

Phayu smirks, “I might just hold you to that.”

Competitive sports are a big commitment, so I can’t just sign up for a relay on a Friday afternoon.”

”You should see him when we do get to go swimming,” Rain jokes. “Me and Kuea are, like, splashing around and doing handstands and he’s just swimming laps around us. He tries to get us to race like he won’t absolutely smoke us.”

Rain has a bad habit of being impulsive, he is well aware of this. And awareness is important, it’s what helps him address the issue. When something sticks with him for this long, it usually means something. Maybe not something good, but something worth thinking about a bit. So Rain does what he always does, he goes to his best friend. “I want to come out, like, publically.”

Sky stares at him calculatingly, and for a moment he seems aggravated, but it melts away. “Why?” He asks slowly.

”Before Kuea’s wedding. I mean it, Sky, he’s already gonna get shit for getting married, and for being gay. I at least don’t want him to stick out like a sore thumb, I don’t want him to stand out that much more.” Rain doesn’t think it’s a bad reason. Maybe just throwing himself in front of the mob wouldn’t be, but he has wanted to do this for a while. This is just a reason to do it now.

Sky taps his foot, a reoccurring habit to deal with excessive energy, “I’ll bring it up, see what I can do.” It isn’t like Rain can just get Sky’s approval. Sky is Rain’s age, the only reason he’s able to be one of their managers is because Rain’s friendliness with him resulted in Sky being close with all the members of GLAMM by the time GLAMM was created. But he’s viciously efficient and a hell of an employee, he has his respect in the office, for the most part. “Be a hero all you want, Rain, I know you’re an empathetic person. But don’t make yourself a martyr.”

Sky looks scared, just the slightest bit, and it’s unnerving, but one of the assistants calls Sky away. At just the same time, Phayu appears at Rain’s side. Quietly, he asks, “What was I just hearing about making a martyr of yourself?”

”Oh,” Rain laughs, “it was just, uh—”

Phayu knits his brows, “Rain… you can’t make a martyr out of yourself, because you won’t be left alone.” He cracks a small, reassuring smile, “You’ve got plenty of people who aren’t gonna throw you to the wolves.” It’s making Rain nervous, all of the sudden, the thought of coming out to Phayu. There are rumors about Prapai, of course most of those talk about salacious affairs when it obviously just means ‘with a man’ but still, that sort of rumor does mean he might be queer. But regardless of his feelings for Phayu, there’s a difference between having feelings for a man who doesn’t reciprocate and having feelings for a man who’s homophobic.

“Oh my shit, wait,” Rain groans, “You know Kuea and Lian, you’re— okay, I’m a moron.” Phayu gives him a questioning look. “I asked Sky about… well, I’d like to come out before Kuea gets married.”

Phayu’s eyes soften, “share the media outrage?”

”Yeah,” Rain laughs. “And, you know, there’s a whole air that I’m gonna get right in the middle of after the show, there’s a whole thing about actors being queer or not that just feels a bit wrong no matter what stance you take. It would make me feel really weird about it, I think.”

”Wait, after the show?” Phayu asks.

Rain grins, “Oh, you don’t know, do you?” He can resist giggling. Maybe, just maybe, he gets a little embarrassed about the whole topic. “I have to make out with Prapai in the finale, you actually didn’t know?”

Phayu stares for a long moment, “I… did not. Is this why you were freaking out about not having a lot of experience?”

It’s Rain’s turn to go silent. “It is now.” Phayu has the gall to chuckle. “Why would you say that? Come on, I’m not gonna stop thinking about that now, oh my god. Am I a bad kisser? This is the plot of a movie for thirteen-year-olds! I’m too old to be asking myself a question like that!” Rain rubs his hands over his face. “You did this to me!” He shoves Phayu’s shoulder with very little force.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Phayu has that stupid, indulging smile and golden, tanned skin. He has dark eyes, sparkling with humor, and he’s leaning just close enough for this whole conversation to be muttered, and Rain might be losing his mind.

Rain manages to get out of the dorms easily enough, they aren’t exactly held captive or something. He only has to not be seen by a couple of specific people who would ask him questions, and he’s on the road in five minutes. The drive to Phayu’s is a bit long, he lives further out instead of being at the heart of the city. Rain finds out why soon enough, because rather than pulling up to some luxury apartment complex, that is fully a house. He can’t say mansion, because it’s not that big or, like, grandiose but at the same time it is large and modern and very expensive looking. Phayu is leaning against the door frame when Rain pulls to a stop. “You’ve no idea how much this means to me,” Rain smiles.

Phayu leans to the side to let Rain in, “Anytime. I get the feeling of being stifled.”

Rain moves into the sleek foyer, “That’s the reason for all of this? Big, fancy house with all the modern amenities?”

”It was actually a pet project before it was a place to call my own,” Phayu explains. “I designed it.”

Rain blinks at him, “the house?”

”If I wasn’t an actor, I’d be an architect. It’s always been an interest of mine.”

Rain shakes his head in utter disbelief, “I think this qualifies as you being an architect. You designed a building, it’s an architect thing. Do you live here alone?”

Phayu leads him down a large hallway into a large open room, with an L-shaped couch. “No, my brother lives here too.”

”I didn’t know you had a brother.”

”And I didn’t know we had a guest,” a voice says from the side of the room. A young man stands halfway up the staircase, leaning over the railing. He has a lazy smile and bright eyes, somewhat resembling Phayu. “Which is rude, really, because I’m a better host than you, Yu, so I feel like I should know.” He starts back down the stairs. “I’m Saifah, by the way.”

Rain returns his smile, “Lee Noeul, just call me Rain.”

”Oh, I’ve heard a lot about you,” Saifah says excitedly. “You’re working with Prapai, right? You have my pity.”

Rain bursts out laughing, “Everyone says that! I know he’s a bit extra but come on, he’s fun. And despite all the extravagance while he does it, he’s good at his job.”

”You haven’t been dealing with extravagance since you were born,” Saifah points out.

”You talk like you aren’t almost as bad,” Phayu fires back. There is light and easy humor between the brothers, none of the weight of expectations that dog your steps when you live in your workplace. Rain feels more at ease than he has in a while.

”You look exhausted, P’Prapai,” Rain comments quietly. They don’t have too long of a break on days like this, and Prapai hides it well, but there’s a slight shadow dragging down his every movement. “Did something happen?”

Prapai glances at him, “You’re way more perceptive than you seem. It’s, ah, it’s nothing, I just had some trouble sleeping last night.” Rain stares at him carefully. He doesn’t look upset, per se, but there’s tightness in his muscles. His whole body is stiff with tension. Rain tries to follow his gaze, but he keeps sweeping over the whole room, never settling on anything. Except when his eyes keep drawing back to Sky and shooting away, only to repeat the process.

”What kept you up?” Rain asked innocently. For good measure, he adds, “I can’t imagine there’s much out of reach for a man like you.”

Prapai snorts, “You’d be surprised.” After a moment, perhaps of waiting for more banter, he turns to Rain, receiving a playful look. He narrows his eyes, “You mentioned something earlier, though. When did you meet Saifah? He doesn’t like bothering around sets and stuff, never cared for the publicity and stuff.” It’s Rain’s turn to shrink back. “And didn’t this whole food fiasco start with Phayu critiquing the lunch you were making early this morning. I think I recognized the countertop in that picture.” Rain knows he’s turning red, but Prapai isn’t giving up, only waiting for a response.

“I didn’t mean to spend the night,” Rain argues weakly. “I just wanted to get out of the dorms for a bit. P’Phayu and P’Saifah were very welcoming and kind, and I just… oh my god, leave me alone! This doesn’t change the fact that you visibly lost sleep because you were having wet dreams about my manager!” Having it said so openly manages to fluster even Prapai.

”Damn, okay, you don’t hold back,” Prapai mutters.

“What’s going on?” Sky pops up out of nowhere. Both Rain and Prapai jump. “You know what, I don’t want to know. Lunch is done in five, have whatever this is half-settled in time to get back on set.”

”I can lean on ‘em,” Kuea suggests. “We get a lot of leeway thanks to my name, and I don’t much care if they think I’m spoiled for giving my members a break.”

”That would probably help,” Sky admits. “I guess that leaves talking to them,” he gestures to Team and Rain, “to me.” Kuea smirks, and he groans. “At least I can call on some decent backup this time. Give them a reason to take the time off.”

A smile stretches over Kuea’s face, “A big get together would be nice, actually. Really, we don’t get to socialize enough. The one damn thing I miss about school.”

im so enamored with the complicated and strange things that have been happening with GLAMM since noeul started filming Secret Findings. I hope we don’t lose this strange energy because goddamn are things happening

Rain is not hiding on his own set. He isn’t. He doesn’t have to be on set right now anyway, so who cares if he wants a little peace and quiet.

“Found you.” Fuck. Phayu walks out from around a corner, one eyebrow raised. Rain ducks his head to avoid looking at the irritatingly attractive man. “You are nervous, aren’t you?”

Rain groans, “Only because of you. You’re the one who brought it up in the first place. I might not have any feelings for Prapai, but it’s still gonna be sort of embarrassing if I can’t keep up with him. That’s just, like, anyone with anxiety. It doesn’t matter if you hate someone, you still don’t want to embarrass yourself in front of them.”

Phayu smiles softly and closes the distance between them. “You worry too much. I don’t think you’re the one who should be nervous in this situation, but I might be biased.” Rain isn’t sure he gets what that means, but the other man isn’t perturbed as he leans in closer. “You really don’t get it? You undervalue yourself that much?” There’s something undercutting Phayu’s voice, equal parts teasing and testing. Something about Phayu has always been paradoxical like that. He sparks nerves and excitement through Rain, but at the same time puts him at ease. Phayu reaches out and gently grabs his chin, pushing his head up so their eyes meet.

”P’Phayu?” Rain asks breathlessly, fighting back the deep flush threatening to overwhelm his cheeks. Sure, Phayu is warm, and sweet, and Rain knows that they’ve come to care about each other, but he still can’t be quite sure about what’s going on. Phayu is untouchable, not something one could dare covet, but he’s looking at Rain like he’s thinking the exact same thing about him.

”I understand it though,” Phayu murmurs, not needing to speak any louder given their proximity. There’s a slight smirk on his lips, “Not wanting to have your first real kiss as a role on screen.” Rain lets out a soft breath, flicking his eyes to Phayu’s lips for a moment. “I can help with that, though.” Rain knows he can’t reply, he can barely keep up with the conversation, but he makes a small, needy noise almost subconsciously. It’s all Phayu needs to lean forward and press their lips together.

It sparks something, fiery and sharp, in Rain’s chest. He moves hesitantly at first, but Phayu’s hand finds his waist and it is enough to spur Rain forward, reaching up to wrap his arms around Phayu’s neck and pulling him in closer. Phayu hums against his mouth and pushes him into the wall, tilting Rain’s head up a little further and deepening the kiss. Rain whines despite himself, frantic for more of the warmth of Phayu’s skin. When Phayu finally pulls away, Rain is breathing hard, desperate for breath but even more desperate for the press of Phayu’s lips. The man chuckles at whatever look Rain unintentionally gives him. “I know, baby,” he croons, voice deep and rich as honey and wow, Rain did not realize how into Phayu he was until right now. “I’m not all too pleased with the idea of you walking back in there and kissing anyone else, let alone Prapai, but I know how it is for you both, and I have no desire to get in the way of your work.” He leans in and pecks Rain on the lips, “But I couldn’t resist at least doing this first. I promise I’ll take you out on a nice date and be all proper about it.”

At Phayu’s casual intimacy, Rain is finally able to make his body listen to him again. “I can’t even say you have the worst timing,” he mutters, “because you do this on purpose. I still have to get through this damn day acting normal.”

Phayu hums, “Oh? Are you embarrassed? You just pretend this didn’t happen until you’re done with work, isn’t acting what you’re here for?” Holy shit, he really is bitter about this thing with Prapai. Rain hadn’t taken Phayu for the jealous type, he was so calm and sure of himself. Phayu leans in again and presses a featherlight kiss to Rain’s cheekbone. “I’m sorry, I don’t mean to tease.” That’s just a lie. “Forgive me?” He pulls back just enough to look Rain in the eyes.

Rain ducks his head, “Maybe I will, if you make it up to me.”

Phayu laughs lightly, “Now who’s teasing, naughty boy?” Rain knows it is probably biologically impossible to blush any more, but he feels like his face is just getting redder and redder, even as he can’t hold back a smile. Phayu catches his lips in one more kiss, pressing him against the wall again. “But I really can’t resist when you’re looking at me like that.” Rain bites his lip in a weak attempt to hold back a massive grin, but he knows Phayu sees it anyway.

“You keep going like this and I’m going to be way too wired to do my job,” Rain huffs. As much as he loathes the very thought, he needs to be calm and level headed when he goes in for filming. The overwhelming joy and excitement currently coursing through his veins won’t serve him well in trying to act the part of a cool and sexy fox demon.

“My apologies,” Phayu says, “I don’t mean to be a bother.”

“That’s—!” Rain looks up sharply to catch the sly grin on Phayu’s face. “That’s not what I meant,” he finishes meekly.

“I know,” Phayu whispers. “I leave you alone, for now.” Rain is going to implode.

Kuea really loves his fans sometimes. He closes his laptop and puts it in his desk drawer just in time for the doorbell to ring. He has to run downstairs to get it because he has gotten way too complacent in letting Lian handle… just, people, at their shared home. Usually no one just shows up what he refuses to call a fucking man cave, no matter what Team says, so someone is just here way too early. A huge majority of people who ever come to his dragon den (not a fucking man cave) is just Khondiao. Kuea’s best friend alone makes up literally ninety percent of guests.

He opens the door to find a very panicked looking Rain, of all things, chewing on his lip and kneading his hands. “Tell me,” Kuea demands to give Rain the kick in the ass he needs to be present enough to explain anything.

”P’Phayu and I kissed,” Rain blurts, “I held it together for filming but oh my fucking god I think I’m having a panic attack.” Kuea grabs his arm and gently tugs him inside, walking down the front hallway.

“Okay, I don’t think you’re fully having a panic attack, but you’re overwhelmed. I’m gonna need you to close your mouth and try to breathe through your nose to avoid building up to hyperventilating. I’ll get you a bottle of water.” Rain nods distractedly and slumps onto the couch while Kuea turns to the kitchen. He made himself one promise when he became the leader of GLAMM, and that was that he would never take Team’s appetite or Rain’s anxiety lightly. No matter how foolish something might seem, he didn’t care as long as Team is eating and Rain is talking.

Kuea returns to the living area to find Rain breathing close to normally, so he hands over the water. Rain gulps down half the bottle, but when he’s done, he doesn’t need any more prompting. “It’s not even like anything bad happened, but holy fuck, Phayu kissed me. He asked me out on a date! I think.” Ah, there’s the problem.

”What exactly did he say, about the date? We’ll start there.” Kuea moves close and pulls Rain into his side with an arm around the younger boy’s shoulders.

“Uhm, well his exact words, well basically he kissed me, or we kissed? And then obviously we had to talk about it, ‘cus what?!” Rain talks in a roundabout manner when he’s like this, because he doesn’t always know what he is or isn’t supposed to say. Kuea doesn’t mind just letting it happen. “So he, gosh it feels so weird to talk about it because he wanted to kiss me. P’Phayu wanted to kiss me, holy shit.” Rain shakes his head a little, “Anyway, he said, uhm, he said that he wanted to kiss me before the, uh, whole scene with Prapai, but that he’d take me on a nice, proper date.”

”Okay,” Kuea nods, “That definitely counts as asking you out. It’s not so different to ask ‘will you go on a date with me’ and say ‘I’m taking you on a date’.

Rain nods slowly, “Yeah, yeah you’re right. But what do I do? Do I call him?”

This time Kuea cuts off the rant, “There’s no protocol on this part. But I think you should, because I think you want to talk to him, to set your feelings and the record straight.” Rain nods slowly, looking up from Kuea’s shoulder. “You wanna wait a few minutes and get your head on straight?” Another nod. “Just don’t wait too long, or your anxiety is gonna start swarming.”

Team grabbed Manow and Pharm on the way, relayed the address to Pharm to text Dean because apparently he forgot, even though he’s sure he didn’t, and didn’t get lost once until they pulled right into Kuea’s driveway. Someone pulled in right behind them in a very expensive car.

”P’Lian!” Team recognizes as the man gets out of his stupid super car or whatever. “I haven’t seen you in forever. You remember Pharm and Manow?”

Lian doesn’t look friendly, but he has something of a resting bitch face. He’s nothing but friendly as he replies, “Hello, Team. And yes, I believe I’ve met your friends before.”

There’s something to the way he says it, and— “Oh, yeah, I forgot Pharm’s more famous than us.” Team turns to his friends to clear up the confusion, “For a total nepobaby, P’Lian’s a damn good cook, but he can’t bake. He wants some of your pastry recipes.”

Lian sighs, “Those are Kuea’s words, verbatim, aren’t they?” Team nods, holding back his laughter. “I do very much appreciate your culinary skills, nong Pharm.” Pharm goes a little bit red, so Team starts ushering them inside.

“I hope you have no plans of cooking tonight, P’Lian. We love your food, but we’re ordering. There’s just too many people.”

This startles a small chuckle from Lian, “Don’t worry, Kuea already delivered that lecture, in full.” The door swings open, not Kuea but Rain, wearing a goofy grin.

“You’re here,” he looks over Team’s shoulder. “Oh, P’Lian too. P’Kuea,” he calls back, “Your fiancé is here.” He steps to the side. “Come in, come in.”

”What are you doing here early?” Team teases.

Rain pouts at him, “I’ll have you know that it doesn’t take a crisis for me to get somewhere early. This time it was, but overall—”

”Overall, you’re barely even on time for most things,” Team interrupts. “P’Kuea!” He launches himself at his friend and tackles him into a hug, and then gets up just as quickly. “Okay, you can go to your boy toy now.” Kuea chokes on his sudden laughter and takes a moment before he can greet everyone else, before leaning up and pecking his fiancé on the cheek.

”Pharm!” Rain grins, hugging the boy, and then Manow. “I’m glad you guys could come.”

Manow returns the hug eagerly, “We missed our favorite boys. The closest we’ve been able to get is seeing you vicariously through this nerd.” She jerks a thumb at Team. “Between you and Pharm, please tell me we’re baking something.”

”I want to,” Rain shrugs once Manow releases him, “I’m not gonna force Pharm to help.”

Pharm winks, “Many have tried to keep me away from a kitchen, none have succeeded. What did you have in mind?”

”Nothing as fancy as you’re used to,” Rain chuckles.

Team turns away, “Kuea! Who else is showing up?”

Kuea pauses, “Uh, you guys, I’ve got three Theerapanyakuns incoming—”

”P’Saifah’s coming? Hell yea!” Rain grins.

”— Win and Dean, obviously, Khondiao and P’Yi, um… Sky goes without saying but I don’t actually know where he’s at.”

Rain sticks up his hand, “He’s on his way. Texted if I needed a lift, told him I was already here. You know, he had the same reaction as Team.” Kuea snorts. There’s no smart remark, but Rain still glares, albeit weakly. He knows he doesn’t really have a leg to stand on, he loses track of time too easily.

“It’s been a while since I’ve seen Prapai or Phayu,” Lian hums. “I did see Win a couple of weeks ago, but still.”

Kuea stares judgmentally, “You have way more relaxed of a schedule than us, how do you never see your friends? You’re so antisocial.” Lian frowns slightly, but doesn’t argue either. ”You’re so lucky you have me.”

”That I am,” Lian responds, smiling softly.

“Ew, love,” Rain sneers from where he has flopped back onto the couch.

Kuea looks over his shoulder, “You wanna talk, pretty boy?”

Rain blanches, “No. Not today, no.” Team and Manow exchange looks, successfully redirected. Unfortunately, the doorbell rings again.

Kuea checks his phone, “That would be Win and Dean.” A timer rings out. “Oh, uh, could someone get the door?”

”I got it!” Pharm offers happily. Kuea gives him a grateful smile and drags Lian off to the kitchen.

“I hope he didn’t try to make appetizers,” Team mutters to Rain.

”Don’t worry,” he mutters back, “I helped, nothing should cause food poisoning.” Team nods sagely. After a couple of moments, Pharm appears in the hallway, chatting with Dean and Win. It’s comical to see him standing between them, dwarfed on either side.

“Hia Win,” Team greets. “P’Dean. I’m glad you guys could make it.”

Rain pops up from the couch, “Any word on Khondiao? I need to ask him something very important.”

”Is it actually important?” Manow asks, “Or is it important?”

”The latter,” Rain replies without hesitation. “If anyone knows the stupidest things P’Kuea’s ever done, it’s him.”

”Wouldn’t that be Lian?” Dean asks.

Pharm shakes his head, “Not at all. Boyfriend is who you’ve gotta look good for, best friend is who you call when you’re about to make or have just made an absolute fool of yourself and don’t want boyfriend and-or crush to know. And I can’t believe they managed to be dating and crushing on each other simultaneously, by the way.”

”You sure know a lot,” Manow teases, “Got a lot of experience with one making a fool of themself?”

“Yes?” Pharm blinks, “Look at you and Team.” Rain bursts out laughing as both Team and Manow start hollering their displeasure.

Honestly, Rain is enjoying himself. As intimidating as a lot of this company can be, Kuea’s darling and Team’s seniors are quite nice. Rain only takes a break and heads to the back yard for fresh air because they’re here. Phayu had promised they’d talk tonight, in fact he insisted upon it, because he hadn’t the time earlier and refused to leave Rain hanging.

Phayu seems to be keeping his word, because he finds Rain outside almost immediately. He doesn’t wait for Rain to start, “Now why did you run away from me, pretty boy?”

Rain really wishes he wasn’t so flustered, “I— I didn’t…”

Phayu sits down next to him and leans in, “Sweetheart, I’m not going to get mad at you, but you did run from me.” God damn him, always with the nicknames. It’s very distracting. “I know you’re flustered, but I didn’t like it when my pretty boy up and disappeared on me so suddenly.”

”I… panicked,” Rain explains weakly. Phayu reaches up and brushes his hair to the side, sweeping behind his ear then running his hand down Rain’s jawline.

”I know, but next time I want you to come to me, when you’re panicked, not run from me.” Phayu’s dark eyes look infinitely deep, it’s unfathomable to Rain how much attention is focused solely on him.

He takes a deep breath and meets Phayu’s gaze, “You were the one I talked to about how I’ve never really dated, never really seen anyone. And… you know what it’s like, for idols. This is just really complicated.” His breath stutters, “I just need you to be considering that.”

Phayu knits his brows, “I know, Rain. We’re both public figures, but you’d be under much more scrutiny than me, and I hate that it has to be that way. But that doesn’t mean I’m willing to live my life trying to obey hundreds of contradicting social rules and meaningless opinions.”

”It’s not fair,” Rain replies miserably. “I’m scared, and I don’t know how this is going to go, and that’s not fair to you.”

Phayu looks incredulous, “Rain, part of wanting to be with you involves, you know, your emotions. I just told you, I want to be the person you run to when you’re scared. So I can hold you and tell you it’ll be alright.”

“Why?” Rain’s voice is barely a whisper.

Phayu shakes his head, “I can’t give you a reason, that’s not how it is. But if you’d like me to list contributing factors, well… you’re sweet and compassionate, and naturally an open minded person. You’re gorgeous, and every time I look at you it’s a struggle to look away. You’re incredibly talented and so dedicated to whatever you do.” Rain was not built to handle this kind of praise, he isn’t used to this much genuine adoration coming at him all at once. “If you don’t understand it right now, then you aren’t going to. I hope one day you can. But it is true, and so is what I said before. I want to take you out on a date, I want to be there for you when you’re scared or hurting, I want to be with you. Will you let me?”

God, he wants this. He wants it so bad it’s painful. He doesn’t know why Phayu is offering this to him, to be a shield, a sanctuary, a security blanket. And he doesn’t know how he’s going to do it, he doesn’t know how they do this. But he desperately wants to try. “It’ll be an open secret. I can’t own up to that in public, at least for a while. And… it’ll be difficult for you, people won’t—”

”I don’t care what people say to me, or about me,” Phayu insists. He grabs Rain’s hands in his own, pulling them close. “Rain, I need you to tell me, now, what you want.”

”You,” Rain breathes out before he even considers it. With a smirk, Phayu pulls him in. The kiss only lasts for a few moments, but it reminds Rain exactly why this debate has stuck in his head since the first press of Phayu’s lips. The man is all consuming.

“Not much worth doing is easy,” Phayu hums, “and a lot of things to do with our personal lives are difficult for people like us. Don’t let it stop you from living your life.” Rain could fall into his embrace for eternity.
