Work Text:

(skipping intro - basically humans hate beastman/woman - like the public execution type of hate)

During his walks through the main palace of the kingdom, Hiroshi had always stopped to admire the painting of Akihiro Katsudδ in one of the hallways. He didn't know if it was the rumors of the cruel punishments the man gave his servants when they failed tasks, or how the artist left the noble's face blank. Either way, Hiroshi knew his chances of serving the high ranked noble would be slim. Mainly due to the man's troublesome beastman allergy, Hiroshi admired the man but didn't want to bring death to him.

He was intrigued by the cruel noble's lack of appearence, it gave a sense of lonesome yet degradation. Hiroshi wondered ,"Someone so wealthy could hold the opinion of commoners being unworthy of seeing his face, I suppose if you're in control of the kingdom's economy, theres not much worth in pleasing the people. As long as everything is stabilized".

"How charming.." He mumbled, turning his attention to the tapping of Mary Janes echoing through the hall.

"Mr. Enki, don't tell me you're distracted again.. Did you even get to packing all your grooming brushes?" A young girl with black hair, red wings with black poka dots, and skinny limbs had approached Hiroshi. She looked up at him with beady eyes and carried a tray of soaps, likely heading to the bathing room to assist the Queen.

He shook his head and smiled, accompanying her to the bathing room. "I wouldn't bare the thought of my fur knotted while serving a new lord, whoever they might be"

"I'll pray that you don't get stuck in the Katsudδ Estate, heard the cruel man hired psychward escapees to be his servants. And when one made his tea very hot, he poured the whole kettle onto the servants hands, burning them. That estate is hell's wrath"

"There's no need for such, my judgements aren't created until my tails chopped off."

Hiroshi stayed stoic, but felt himself mentally sigh. He did find tiresomeness in the Katsudδ estate's rumored chaos. but understood it would all be worth it to serve the cruel noble.

Hiroshi watched as the little ladybug continued her way to the bathing room, taking small but quick steps. He went the opposite direction, heading towards the staff management office.

The wolf stopped at his small servant room to retrieve his lugage, which wasn't much as his trips to the town were few. He opened the door to the staff management office and set his suitcase down beside one of the waiting room chairs, before closing the door behind him.

The staff manager's scaly assistant smiled at him and set out the transfer papers onto the main desk, Hiroshi eagerly signed his name. And spoke up while filling out the boxes, "Does the Katsudδ estate also have a staff manager? I would hope they're not strict"

"No no no.." The lizard assistant answered in a unbalanced voice, as if she were a creaky wooden panel. "The estate has a servant hierarchy, you're supposed to get chores done and get punished if you fail."

"Who were to empty a basket of questions I gather?" Hiroshi's head tilted curiously.

"The head Butler, or if you're feelin' kinky, the head Maid. She's a mad woman, eaten 'em years away."

"Eating their years away? Wh-"

"Cannibal. Filthy bone strippin' whore of a maid!" The scaled assistant raised their voice, sounding more vengeful than informative.

Hiroshi wanted to ask but knew it would somehow end with him being told a bible worth of a story, he just finished signing the papers. But his careful decisions were for nothing as she started rambling, as if the room was full of therapists.

"The criminal was a poor whore feedin' even poorer children..not even payin' for school, my husband could've-"

"Mhm.. I see..understandably so..oh wow.."
The beastmen slowly walked out, just responding in lazily acknowledges."
