Work Text:

Aaron was sitting in his home office going over the case file. Aaron couldn't stop looking over the case file. His door to the office was a bit ajar. It was a weekend, he was wearing his jeans and a black polo, Spencer was lecturing and would be home around now. Aaron sighed and ran his hands over his face, he didn't hear you come up.

"Papa need hug?" you asked, standing in the doorway, voice incredibly tiny. Aaron sighed, closing the file and looked at his watch seeing that it was 5:40, almost dinner time. He looked at you and nodded.

"Papa could really use a hug, thank you sweet girl." he said taking you in.

You were in your floral pajama bottoms and oversized t-shirt, your blanky fisted in your hand and your pacifier in your mouth, with the clip dangling from it. He stood up and walked over to you, scooping you up in his arms. You wrapped your arms around his neck and legs around his waist, pressing yourself as close as possible to him. He placed a firm hand on your back and closed his eyes, letting himself relax a bit.

The two of you stayed like that for a moment, not breaking contact. Finally Aaron gently rubbed his thumb up and down your shoulder and placed a lingering kiss on your temple.

"Papa need cookie?" you looked at him, eyes so pure and innocent, you were totally gone. He let a soft chuckle and stroked your hair. He and Spencer always let you have one cookie when you felt overwhelmed or stressed and gently guided you into regression.

"I could use a cookie." you both heard your stomach grumble and you looked down at your tummy. He brown eyed man lightly scathed your stomach "and you could use some dinner." Aaron looked around "Is Dada home?" he furrowed his brow a bit and you shook your head. "How long have you been regressed for, honey?"

"Ony hour" you say matter of factly.

"Sweetheart, you know that as soon as you regress you need to come get Dada or Papa so we can care for you." he gently tugged the pacifier from your lips so you could respond.

"I stay outside office, close to papa and no disturb. Is otay." you assure him and he sighs, placing your pacifier back in your mouth.

Aaron cradled your head to his shoulder and carried you to the kitchen. He sat you on the counter and attached the pacifier clip to your shirt. He went to the cupboard and grabbed an unopened box of cookies and took one. He broke it in half and offered it to you, but you shook your head.

"No, dank 'ou."

"No?"

"Papa need whole cookie, 'cause he sad."

"Little love, what a good girl" the voice of your other caregiver came from behind and Spencer walked in.

"She's been a very good girl, taking care of me" Aaron said eating the one half of the cookie and going to the fridge.

Spencer stood between your legs, cupping your cheeks and placing little pecks all over your face. You giggled and wrapped your arms around Spencer's chest.

"How was the lecture?" Aaron asked the younger man.

"It went well." Spencer said rubbing a hand up and down your back. "I'm going to get you some water" the doctor whispered to you.

"Actually, could you make her some chocolate milk? Seems someone was regressed for a whole hour and sat outside my office without informing me she was there and waited patiently." Aaron pulled out the homemade tomato soup you made last night for dinner tonight.

"I a good girl" you nodded and both men nodded at you.'

"You are, little one, however you need to tell us when you have regressed. We appreciate that you don't want to disturb us when we're working, but we can't care for you properly if you don't let us know." Spencer said in a firm, but gentle voice. "Do you understand?" you nodded, tearing up a bit.

"You're not in trouble, sweetheart." Aaron assured you, coming over and wiping your stray tears.

"Mad?" your big doe eyes stare at your caregivers and their hearts break a bit and they shake their heads, both coming over to rub a hand on your back.

"We're not mad, angel." Spencer whispered.

"Promise." Aaron said "Now, I'm going to heat up the soup you made us yesterday and make some grilled cheese sandwiches. Can you sit here and be cute?" you nodded "Good." Aaron kissed your temple and got to work making dinner.

"Do you need help with anything?" Spencer asked as he finished making your chocolate milk.

"No, I think just looking after our girl." he said.

Spencer lightly tugged your pacifier from your lips and handed you your sippy cup. He lightly ran his fingertips up and down the back of your neck which always soothed you. While the soup was heating up, Aaron got started on the grilled cheese. He looked over at you and you waved at him and he smiled and waved back.

It was nights like these that you all looked forward to. The boys could relax, no need to think about work and the horrors that they see almost everyday. They just focused on taking care of you.
