Work Text:
I was apprehensive about trusting Dorian. After all, he had attacked my friends before he attempted to tarnish my reputation. The others understand my qualms about this, but they vacillate between being supportive of my feelings on the matter, to insisting that because we're twins I have to forgive Dorian. This insistance does not change the fact that I find Dorian's apology to be dubious. Still, I tentatively accepted his apology, although I refused to let him go anywhere near the Mondstadt. I instead keep him on Dragonspine for my peace of mind. Dorian doesn't seem to care much, though. He just seems happy that he gets to spend time with me. He also seems to enjoy the Travelers company. He, doesn't seem to enjoy Paimon's company as much. Which is fair. When Klee comes up, he also seems to like her. Klee also has the unequivocal opinion that he's another "big brother" of hers, much like myself and Kaeya. I am still of the opinion that this is a precarious position that I am in, and I'm getting tired of waiting for him to act. Durin's awakening heart is very close by just a drop down a cliff. Dorian could be down there before I knew what was going on. It feels wrong to doubting my twin, but he's already proven that categorical trust in him is a very bad idea. It's not hard to be conclusive about this. I just wish I didn't feel so bad about this.
