Work Text:
Tired of their never ending battle Blade simply side steps before grabbing Tartaglia by his battle worn collar and slamming him against the stone floor with ease. His water blades dissipate and he scrambles to grab at Blade's wrist to get him to let go but he is unmoved. Instead he presses his body weight down on his torso to keep him from kicking at him.
He's like a feral animal, the way he kicks, bites, scratches, and the like just to keep fighting. Blade is unmoved and in a swift movement pins both of Tartaglia's arms to his chest. He struggles some more but he grows tired with his struggling, panting and huffing in frustration. Blade takes in his condition.
They're both battered but Tartaglia is significantly more bloody and bruised than he is, his wounds having already healed up by the time he had pinned him to the floor. Tartaglia continues to struggle and Blade presses his full body weight down on him to finally get him to stop. They're nose to nose now and while Tartaglia tries to nip at him he doesn't move but rather lets him nip at him if only to get close enough to kiss him.
For all their violence it's a rather gentle kiss, nothing more than lips on lips but it's enough to make Tartaglia pause and ease the tension in his body. Blade pulls back just enough to see the blood lust and hunger in his eyes but he won't give into him yet. He's got some more things to teach him before he can take him on.
