The girl at the bench

Summary:

Sage Moon had a pretty shitty life.

Hey this is like my first fic ever. Its basically my oc in the marvel universe. Ill update the tags and stuff as i go along as im not quite sure how this stuff works yet.
Also this is basically one of those peter parker gets saved from skip by tony stark fics except i replaced peter with my oc. Im not sure whether ill add peter into this fic or not yet.

Notes:

Just a quick warning, im like horrible at punctuation and writing so theres no way can promise this will be good.
Also theres referenced to rape/abuse in this fic so please don't read if its going to make you uncomfortable.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Sage Moon had a pretty shitty life. The wonderful perks of being a foster kid meant her life sucked. She's been passed around like she's nothing since she was 2. Foster home, group home, oh look! Foster home again. The cycle continued. She'd had her fair share of cruel foster home's but the one she was currently in was the worse. It was alright at first, she thought she'd finally gotten lucky. She was placed with a man called Steven Westcott, or as he wanted her to call him, Skip.

Skip wasn't that bad at first. He'd welcomed her into his home, given her a room, fed her and enrolled her into Midtown Tech. He was kind at first but she later realised it was a trap when she woke up with him straddling her lap with a hungry look in his eyes. At first she had no idea what he was doing. It wasn't until she had a sex ed lesson a month after and she had left to go throw up, had she realised what he was doing. It wasn't often that he did that, but when he did Sage awoke covered in sweat and tangled in bed sheets that weren't hers. She never tried to fight back, not after Skip had threatened her with a knife.

That was two years ago. Now here she was, fifteen years old and still stuck living with Skip. Other than her home life, nothing else was that bad. However, she didn't have any friends, but she prefered it that way. Friends were too much work. She couldn't have someone asking her if she was alright every time she fell asleep in class after she'd had a horrible night. Or when she turned up to school with a fresh bruise on her face. She knew if she had friends they'd ask her things like, "what happened?" Or, "who did this to you?"

What was she supposed to say when someone asked her that? Thats why she prefered not having friends. They were too much hassle anyway. She just needed to get through school and turn eighteen so she could leave the system.

Most times after school she would find herself at a park nearby. She always sat down at the same picnic bench and sat there for hours. Anything to avoid going home to Skip.

Sage was on her way home from the store, (buying bandages because of course Skip had to go and sprain her ankle). When she heard a grunt coming from next to her. Her head turned and she came face to face with the (injured?) superhero known as Iron Man.

"Holy Shit"
