Chapter Text
A rainy night had came and a young orphan girl named Y/n had was left out in the middle of the streets to face it alone. However, Y/n was not a normal girl at all. She has bird wings and psychic powers and abilities. She didn't know how she got them but all she knew was that she somehow mysteriously received them somehow. She remembered her parents, they were both normal, but for some reason, it was just her with wings and abilities. This was a natural phenoma to her parents and believed it to be a supernatural deformity for their sin or a scientific experiment on their child. Even if they loved their daughter, they just couldn't beat the pain of having a child like this. So they ended up just leaving her on the streets to fend for herself against the world.
Of course it wasn't the first time she faced something like that. Her own parents thought of her as an angel before, but others thought she was demonic devil in disguise. It was like her parents trusted what others thought over their their love for her. She tried to hide her wings as best as she could. Then she started to think of herself as a freak of nature and wasn't like other normal humans. That only the only one she could trust was herself and no one else. Her time alone on the streets to fend for only herself taught her that.
She walked around in the rain to find shelter while getting wet, dirty, and muddy. She then found some in a box that was big enough to hide her from the rain. It was much but it was just enough for her. She tried not let her time alone outside make her think or act like an animal. Even if she felt like one, she was wet, cold, dirty, hungry, thirsty, and tired. She sat down quietly and put her head down on her knees with her arms around them while waiting for the rain to end.
Then someone walked nearby. It was a woman. She looked like a nun. She wore black and white robe like clothes that a nun wears. She wore glasses as well. She walked around with an umbrella in her hand holding it above her to keep from getting wet from the rain. She looked around watching the scenery around her to observe all that's around. Then in the middle of an alleyway, she saw a sight she didn't think she would see. It was a young girl. She looked like an orphan. Her clothes, hair, and the rest of her body looked dirty, wet, and tired. She couldn't but feel caring for the young girl. No one should be left alone in the streets like that. She then wanted to help the young girl.
'That poor child.' She said in her mind's thoughts.
She then walked over to the young girl.
Y/n could hear someone come over to her.
"Hello, child. Are you okay? Why are you out here alone?" A woman said to her.
She looked up from her position and saw the nun in front of her and tried to answer her question..
"H...h...hello. I think I'm alright. And I'm an orphan without my parents anymore and I live on the streets." Y/n said.
The nun looked at her with sympathy.
"Oh, my child. I'm sorry to hear that. No child should be like that. I can help you if you'd like. I'm Sister Madeline. What's your name, child?" She asked.
She came slowly closer.
"I'm Y/n." Y/n answered.
"That's a nice name." Sister Madeline said back.
"Thank you." Y/n replied.
"Would you like to come with me? I can give you a place to stay, be cared for, and live at if you'd like?" Sister Madeline asked.
Y/n then thinks about this and nods her head with a smile.
"Yes, I would like that a lot, Sister Madeline." She said back.
"Come with me, Y/n." Sister Madeline said as she held her hand out for Y/n to take.
Y/n then stood up and walked over to Sister Madeline and held her hand.
She didn't know why but she felt warm, protected, and safe when she held her hand with her. Sister Madeline soon felt the same way. She felt needed, protective, and loved with her hand in hers.
"Come along, Y/n." She said.
They both walked together hand in hand a few blocks, more steps, and a couple of miles and then arrived at a new place Y/n hadn't seen before.
It looked like a church chapel like building. Like a school of some kind. She looked at the sign on it. It was called "Eagle's Junior High School." Y/n just stared at it.
"Here's our stop. This is Eagle's Junior High School. It's a boarding school for children that come here. I think you'll like staying here, Y/n." Sister Madeline said to her.
They walked up to the front gate. Sister Madeline got out the keys to it and used it to open it. They both walked through the gate and walked to the front door of the church school building. Sister Madeline knocked on the door and another nun opened the door.
"Come on in." Sister Madeline said kindly to Y/n.
She nods back with a smile and walked with Sister Madeline.
Then they entered the building together hand in hand at the entrance.
