Work Text:
That short and almost chaste kiss was not a farewell, but it seemed that way because of the bitter mixture of feelings that burned and rotted in his barely existing heart.
It was more like an "I missed you." Roier did not even show any reaction of surprise or anger, because he lay deeply asleep between the silky crimson sheets of the matrimonial bed he shared with his husband.
Killer instincts began to grow in ElQuackity's chest. Cellbit had everything right in front of his nose, but he still decided to go away for days to solve puzzles, leaving his husband, no, leaving Roier unguarded, that is possibly the only thing El Quackity was grateful for.
The silence was barely broken by the accelerated beating of his own heart and the soft exhalations of Roier's pompous lips, Quackity ventured once again to kiss those reddish lips, this time a careless kiss without worries, he already knew in advance that Roier was a deep sleeper.
Thirsty kisses that were not reciprocated and desperate hands clinging to the sleeping body, as if he were afraid (of being taken away and imprisoned again).
The appearance of a clear blue in the sky let him know that he had to leave before his beloved woke up.
He had spent hours watching him and still it wasn't enough, there would never be enough of Roier for him.
One last glance, before leaving the dark castle, promising in the silence and darkness remaining to kill any obstacle that dared to separate him from Roier once more, even if that obstacle was from the federation.
ElQuackity swore that his precious one would return to his arms, that Roier would stay by his side and never leave just as he promised, and that oath had to be fulfilled, even if that meant having to get rid of Cellbit and his own brother.
