Chapter Text
The summer sun beats down hot onto the leaves of Hometown. Always a tint yellower than the foliage of other trees in the region, but it adds to the town’s nostalgic charm. Both children and young adults have been comfortable at home with their families, basking in the sunlight, or dancing between the spots of shade. At the beginning of the season, Asriel was excited just to be back home, relaxing after the strenuous school year.
Granted, there was one person in particular that he was eager to reconnect with. Despite his homesickness, Asriel could rest assured that his family was still there, patiently waiting for his return. But with Pizzapants, who knew how their relationship stood after their stints after high school? Thoughts like these troubled both Asriel and Pizzapants in the earliest hours of the day, and latest hours of the night until they met face to face. It was awkward initially, but they quickly became as close as they left each other. And now they were determined to see each other whenever they could outside of their usual responsibilities. Today is one such day.
