Chapter Text
Prologue
Eijirou missed his home, he missed his parents, his family; he missed the warmth that all of those things brought him. Now he was alone in an iron cage. He was stuck in this form, unable to think properly.
He stared towards the door in front of him, he hated that door. Every time it opened it he’d be faced with another creature that was considered a worthy opponent, sometimes they were like him, and sometimes not. It never mattered, Eijirou won all of his fights. They called him a champion, but he didn’t feel like a winner. He felt cold, lonely and afraid.
Outside his cage, yelling and chanting was starting to grow louder, signalling a restless crowd. Eijirou knew that meant the door would open soon, he felt a shiver run down his scaled spine. He looked out of the small gap in his cage’s door.
