And if dreams can come true
What does that say about nightmares?

It all started with a vacation to Natlan
The Traveler had first suggested it after mentioning the mass popularity with tourism there, and said it might be a good idea to find a way to host a show there.
They had also mentioned it would be a good break from everything, especially after the flood and all the rebuilding. Lyney was sold, and while it took a while to convince Lynette, she eventually caved in and agreed to go.
Surprisingly Freminet did too, but only after hearing about Koholasaurs, a Saurian species that can swim in water and phlogiston (which he didn't know was LAVA until he asked the Traveler.)
"Be careful if you want to go into phlogiston caves, it hurts like a bitch." The Traveler had warned. "Luckily I know just the guide."
And nobody wanted to ask how the Traveler knew how phlogiston felt

They had first arrived in the Children of Echoes tribe, meeting up with the guide the Traveler had mentioned, as well as another friend
They're names were Mualani and Kachina, Mualani being a guide from the People of the Springs.
"So what are you guys doing in Natlan? On a vacation?" She inquired, scanning the pathway.
"Correct! Me and my sister are just looking for a break of sorts. My brother however, he's interested in meeting some Koholasaurs, as well as checking out phlogiston caves. The Traveler said you were quite the expert." Lyney responded, fidgeting with a coin in his pocket.
"Indeed! Still, be very careful when going down into them, ok? But I do admire how you came here for the Koholasaurs!" Mualani said, turning to Freminet. "You guys are from Fontaine, right? You guys must have some pretty cute sea life as well!" While those two started talking about marine life (Lyney was ecstatic his brother made a new friend), Lynette, Kachina, and the Traveler had started a conversation aswell (something about music?).
So Lyney spaced out, thinking. About Father, the future of the House of The Hearth. Him becoming the next Father.
Did... he really want to become the next-
"Sorry guys! Me and Kachina are meeting up with a friend, so we'll need to take a detour to the Scions of the Canopy. It's not too far out of the way, so it won't take too long." Mualani announced, bringing Lyney out of his thoughts. He started to pay more attention to his surroundings as they continued their journey.
Something caught his eye, however.
"What's that?" Lyney asked, pointing at a small green saurian, eating a strange fruit.
"Oh, that's a Yumkasaur! And looks like the little guy's also having a Flamegranate. But let's steer clear, we don't wanna scare the lil guy." Mualani responded, moving the group a little off the path. That was ok though, the Yumkasaur was fucking adorable.
And so the group continued on their journey to the Scions of the Canopy.
