In her three decades on Earth, Nico Robin has been called many names by those she has come across. Most of those names follow her with negativity, with words like "witch", "devil", "wench", and "demon" spat in her face by those too ignorant to understand the hypocrisy behind preventing the gain of knowledge in a world as vast as theirs.
During her stint with Baroque Works, the archaeologist of Ohara became "Miss All Sunday", playing the former warlord's sick game and to further her own agenda to gain access to the Alabasta poneglyph.
To the Straw Hat Pirates, she is "Robin" and "friend" when the crew members (particularly Nami and Luffy) introduce her. Robin's heart swells at each mention of her name.
Roronoa Zoro, predictably, is not one for pet names.
When they begin their relationship, Zoro settles on one nickname for Robin and runs with it for the rest of time.
"Sweetheart," murmured huskily in his deep voice, particularly during their times alone, will always send a chill down Robin's spine.
There is a power in names. Robin finds that those her lover and friends bestow upon her are her favorites.
Until one day when "Mama" tops them all.
