Work Text:
Despite their betrayal and the distance that had grown between them, Jouno and Tecchou still couldn't shake their feelings for each other. They were partners, after all, and their bond ran deep.
Every time Tecchou visited Jouno in prison, he couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness and guilt. He knew that he had failed Jouno as a partner, and he wished that things could go back to the way they were.
But as he looked at Jouno through the bars of his cell, he couldn't help but feel a spark of hope. He saw the same man he had always known, the same man he had fallen in love with.
One day, Tecchou finally gathered the courage to confess his feelings to Jouno. He told him how much he missed him, how much he regretted what had happened between them.
To his surprise, Jouno didn't push him away. Instead, he listened intently, his eyes fixed on Tecchous face.
When Tecchou was done speaking, Jouno finally spoke up. "I miss you too," he said quietly. "I miss the way things used to be."
Tecchous heart leaped with joy at those words. He knew that it wasn't enough to fix everything that had gone wrong between them, but it was a start.
They continued to visit each other every week, their conversations becoming more intimate and meaningful with each passing day. Tecchou would bring Jouno books and snacks, and they would talk for hours about everything and nothing.
One day, Tecchou finally mustered up the courage to ask Jouno a question that had been weighing on his mind for a long time. "Do you think we can ever go back to the way things were?" he asked tentatively.
Jouno looked at him for a long moment before answering. "I don't know," he said honestly. "But I do know that I want to try."
Tecchou felt a wave of relief wash over him at those words. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to do whatever it took to make things right between them again.
As they continued
As Tecchou and Jouno continued to visit each other, they slowly began to rebuild their trust in each other. They talked about their past, their hopes for the future, and everything in between.
One day, Tecchou decided to take a risk. He reached through the bars of Jouno's cell and took his hand. Jouno didn't pull away, and instead, he held Tecchou's hand tightly.
Tecchou felt a surge of emotion as he held Jouno's hand. It was a small gesture, but it meant so much to him. It was a symbol of their love, of their willingness to fight for each other despite everything that had happened.
As they held hands, Tecchou couldn't help but think about what their future might look like. He knew that it wouldn't be easy - Jouno was still serving his sentence, after all. But he was determined to do whatever it took to be with him again.
Weeks turned into months, and Tecchou continued to visit Jouno every week. He brought him flowers, chocolates, and even a small plushie that he had found in a store. Jouno treasured each gift, knowing that they were a sign of Tetcho's love for him.
One day, Tecchou finally received some good news. Jouno's sentence had been reduced, and he would be eligible for parole soon. Tecchou couldn't believe it - he had been hoping for this news for so long.
For the first time in a long time, they both felt like things might actually work out between them.
As the days passed, Tecchou waited anxiously for the day that Jouno would be released from prison. He knew that it wouldn't be easy - they would have to rebuild their lives together, and they would have to face the consequences of their past actions.
But as he looked at Jouno through the bars of his cell, he knew that it was all worth it. He loved Jouno with all his heart, and he was willing to do anything to make things right between them again.
