Chapter 1
In the typical PE class they would share a few loving glances but wont do anything else. On this particular day they were on the same team standing by each other's side.
The excitement floating in the air. Mid game Shon tried to return the ball to the opposite team with a big jump but lost balance and fell on top of Dan caging him on the floor. They stare at each other embarrassed, feeling their heartbeat becoming rapid . Shon stood up fast trying to hide his blush and his growing feelings. The sass he possessed has left his body leaving him disarming from the cruel world around him.
He has denied his feelings in middle school and couldn't be his true self afraid his friends will disown him . Dan was shy but wasn’t too humble about his preference, sure he never said it out loud but he always was pretty touchy with the guys around him. After the game Ron approached Dan questioning him about the ”accident” earlier. Ron has been fooling around with Tomas but was really possessive of Dan as his true love . Hurt from Ron’s recent ignorance Dan made a snarky comment “Go to your side bitch and leave me alone you don't have the right to act jealous now. Next time you decide to ignore me for a week don't come upset . It’s not even like that he just fell. ” And like that Dan left hurt but also hopeful for the thing that can bloom between him and Shon.
Later that day Shon's fluttering heart couldn't stop thinking about how good it felt to be this close to Dan the way his larger body felt underneath him. Stefan definitely notes that Shon was daydreaming all day. He was jealous as well but didn't dare to say anything considering he was in a public relationship with a girl from the class. Stefan was always attracted to both men and women as long they were the one in control, he was happy with Anna but couldn't leave behind his first true love. They didn't really click physically and that's why Shon didn't mind Anna in the first place and because he didn't truly love Stefan. Something he wasn't ready to admit out loud trying to delusion himself wasn't true. ‘’You enjoyed being so close to him didn't you?’’ Stefan said, snarky trying to act unimpressed. "It's not like I did it on purpose, I am over him for years now.“ Shon lied trying to fool himself as well .”Well do what you want I don't care anymore , there is no point in talking to you about this.” Stefan said as he got up to meet Anna in the halfway leaving Shon alone and miserable.
At the same time both of them thought of one another's loving embrace and the lingering loneliness around them.Somehow they ended up separated by lovers and fate itself. Dan looked hopefully at Shon trying to find comfort but was left even lonelier with Shon turning his back to him running in the bathroom to let his tears free.
At the end of the school day Ron decided to be sweet and took Dan home and bought him a meat treat (zuner).Ron was determined to keep Dan for himself and won't share him with anyone. The young lovers speed through the afternoon eating and gaming. Ron decided to stay the night watching podcasts cuddling with the boy of his dreams. Their parents unaware of their kids having heated makeout seasons leaving hickies all over Dan’s torso . They haven't gone further mainly because Dan wasn't ready yet but he has promised his virginity for Rons 18th birthday.they spent the rest of the night soundly asleep in each other embrace.
Shon fell apart when he got home he had to hold himself all day and just couldn't anymore being so close to Dan had brought all his feelings he had pushed deep down inside him for so long. “Why … I should be over him by now. I can't do it anymore. I can't look at him and Ron being so close.” Shon sobbed quietly wishing that he could be in his arms again. He fell asleep crying in his bed wishing for the love he deserved.
