Work Text:
In the days his thoughts lead him astray, worries and anxieties would rise in him, never quite letting him forget for a split second the future and fate he'd have to pursue, Idia would instead flood his mind and focus on his games. They brought a temporary solution for his unchangeable fate.
Tied to the Island of Woe by his family curse, his freedom snatched from his hands. His games, his hobbies felt like they were his, belonging to him and no one else could take away from him.
And in the days he spent his whole day hiding away from his responsibilities, his head would rest on the desk, his games left running and his work splayed on every surface the found space in. And at least in dreams he could feel free.
Walking forward with his brother in hand, ready to explore every place and sight Twisted Wonderland had to offer. The sunrise in front of them, the light blinding but welcoming, calling the two brothers forth to experience the world had to offer.
Striving for more, their limits being the horizon and the never ending blue sky.
They'd see endless sights, many nights adorned with thousands of shining stars, blinking down at them along with the moonlight lightning their way forward.
Freedom has never tasted better than this.
And the sweet dream of freedom would end, leaving a bitter taste for Idia. Always reminded of what he could've had, the life he could've lived if his whole life wouldn't have been forsaken from the moment he was born. Alas, he can only dream. Or he could be able to change it. Rewrite his own future where he and Ortho fitted in.
