Chapter Text
Jimin absolutely hated everything about his job. Well-
Maybe not everything, so let's start over.
Jimin was incredibly dramatic no matter what it was about , but the situation in his life truly wrecked him over this time so he had a tiny bit of right to get dramatic.
He actually liked his job, he taught teens and kids dance, had a good paycheck and could use the dance practice room any time he wanted for free. He was doing something he truly loved, transferring his love for dance to all his students. What he did not love was people at his work. One person in particular.
The story was messy. You can practically imagine it as if it's from a romantic comedy. The hot shot, attractive man from your work, that everyone has a crush on , pays just a tiny bit of attention to you, so you can't help yourself but fall head over heels for him. No matter how many red flags he waves all around himself, you just keep on falling for that lying charming smile. And only then when you devote your whole self to that particular guy, doing all kinds of stuff for him, taking care of his errands, you realize that he was just playing your poor heart, but it required you seeing him make out with another one of your coworkers to realize that.
Well. That’s what happened to Park Jimin and that stupid smirking asshole Kim Yujun. He got his heart stopped on in the worst possible way, and now needs to face the humiliation of his former crush and his new girlfriend showing off their great love all around the office.
Jimin was a fool. A lonely, completely heartbroken fool.
And what is worse time to be lonely than Christmas time, when everyone and everything around you is screaming about love, joy and happiness of being with your close ones. Christmas is filled with great times , love stories , hanging out with family and friends, and that would be the case if Jimin wasn't living alone in his house by the sea, with absolutely no social life at work or outside.
He needed to get out of there.

Hoseok really thought his life in Seoul would be different. But to be honest what did he expect, getting his shit messed up with the idol industry. That place was filled to the brim with toxicity and manipulation , poor guy let himself be dragged right into it.
He was done with all the dating drama, idols who can't have a real relationship so they used him for one night stand fun, then pull away as soon as things could come out to daylight. If he was being honest he was actually done with all relationships. This was supposed to be the time of his life and he was single, miserable, and completely stuck on his work.
As a choreographer for one of the biggest idol entertainments, he needed to step up into a higher level, and he did have that in him. Hoseok knew he was talented, he knew people recognized his skills. He already succeeded in creating one of the most iconic choreographies of all time, including the one and only “Standing next to you” for Jungkook, the hottest male idol soloist of his generation. But for a couple weeks he has been stuck. No new ideas came to his head, everything felt the same, everything was the same.
Hobi needed a change. And Christmas break was the perfect time to get the hell away for it to come.

That’s exactly how both men, on two different sides of the country found each other on a rental website, specially designed for people who want to swap houses for an established amount of time. Both of them got interested in each other's offers, mainly spotting the note about their mutual love for dance and the circumstances felt perfect.
Jimin wanted to get out of his town, get to know people, and taste what life in the capital would be like. Hoseok's apartment in the middle of the city was just the place for him.
Hobi wanted to rest, he wanted to cut himself away from the spotlight and fully focus on his work for those two weeks, and Jimin's house by the sea seemed exactly like his safe haven.
It took them 2 days of talking and getting everything set up and the deal was done.
They were ready for 2 weeks of complete detox from their normality ,and finally, no emotional drama.
Or they thought.
——-
When Jimin arrived in Seoul he immediately felt the difference that the capital had compared to Busan. It was louder, bigger, and somewhat more flashing. He was keeping his eyes on the phone trying his best to get to the apartment quickly. The blonde was tired after the train ride, his bag big and hours stuck in one place during his trip stuck out to him, his muscles sore and head pulsing . All he wanted was a long bath, hoping Hoseok, the guy he rented from, has a bath, a nice movie and maybe some wine.
Jimin felt like hours went by but he finally arrived at the building, loading himself into the elevator and finally going up to his new home for the next 2 weeks.
When he opened the door he couldn’t be met with a more beautiful view. The open glass windows reflected on the city, showing him that they were pretty high up in the building. The whole apartment was very lively, decorated by someone with a great sense for art and style, someone with a very unique personality. Jimin couldn’t help but let out a laugh when he spotted those gigantic red shoes he saw on tik tok in the hallway. Okay the Hoseok guy must be such a lovely person , it was such a shame they didn't get to meet, but them swapping their houses was part of the deal after all, but he also seemed rich if those shoes, and art pieces were real. Jimin started to internally panic that maybe his house in Busan won't be enough for the big city guy, but that thought didn't stay in his brain for too long.
His attention went from one amazing thing to another, from the pretty living room with a gigantic tv to the big kitchen , and as soon as Jimin was exploring the apartment he found his way to the master bedroom. He instantly jumped on the bed, falling into the embrace of the very very comfortable sheets. He swore he could have fallen asleep right there on the spot but he was way too stinky and sweaty from the ride, so like a good responsible adult he stood up, and managed to find the bathroom.
Thanks to his previous prayers, the apartment had a tub, a very big one, perfect for him to get a bit of that relaxation he needed so badly. The man spent 2 hours there, soaking all of his stress away, all of his worries , and each memory of any asshole who hurt him.
The night was soon getting later and later so when Jimin laid down in bed, he closed his eyes ready to give himself the care he deserved after the last months.
Those two weeks will do him wonders. He could feel it already.
——
Jungkook was confused, he was scared and very much confused why hobi-hyung was not answering his texts. He wanted to ask him for some extra lessons as Jungkook's new comeback was about to drop in a month and then suddenly his choreographer and very close friend disappeared for the whole day into thin air. Someone who usually was always on his phone, and answering Jungkook in a matter of seconds, suddenly not responding, even for one day, it was suspicious.
The man had enough of waiting and spamming his phone, but when the day was coming to an end coming over to the older apartment would be a bit rude, so Jungkook could only wait for the morning to come , as then he could storm over there and find out what the hell is going on.
It wasn’t exactly morning when he finally managed to get his ass out of his own place, and drive to Hobis building but he was finally on it. The man parked his car in the underground parking, as the security recognized the very often guest of Mr. Jung.
He was anxiously tapping his foot down in the evaluator as it went up. Part of him wanted to storm into the place, yelling that Hobi is an asshole for not replying, what kind of hyung he is ,but then a full pallet of thoughts raced through his head. What if he was hurt, what if something serious happened and he is only thinking about himself.
Yeah- breaking in with a yell will be a rather insensitive idea, Jungkook thought, biting his own lip ring as he heard the elevator ting , announcing the arrival of it at the right floor. Walking down the hallway he set his plan straight. A knock will be enough, it will be polite and when he sees that Hobi is well and great then he will yell. Yes jungkook, you will nail this.
But when the door opened, a bit after the series of his knocks, the idol didn't face anyone where his eyes rested, at the usual high of his friend “ you aren't Hobi-Hyun- woah.” The taller male stuttered out as his eyes met with the stranger's face.
That was an angel right there. In an oversized t-shirt, pretty flushed cheeks , as if he just woken up , he looked so soft, so pretty, like a doll, but at the same time his face looked so serious, Jungkook would hate to get scolded by that man.
He didn't realize he was staring until the blonde in front of him raised his eyebrow and sighed “ yeah and you are not the delivery guy. Bye then” a quick smile was sent towards Jungkook before the blonde stranger slammed the door right at his face.
What the fuck was that, and most importantly. Who was that? AND WHERE WAS HOBI-HYUNG?
