All the doctors companions remind him of something.
Donna was fierce and firey, but soft and protective when She opened up like a orange house cat.
Martha Jones reminded him of butterflies. Gentle, caring, and clever like she was on a journey of sorts.
Rose was different.
She remind him of strawberries and he had no idea why.
He'd be off exploring and stumble upon the sweet fruit and think of her.
Maybe it was the sweet shampoo she wore or her soft cheeks smiling in a way that made his hearts flutter.
He promised him self; one day he'd find out.
After the meta crisis mess Rose decided to stay with the doctor, when she told him this he Was overjoyed and almost kissed her on the spot. (as much as he wanted to he contained himself)
Again they could explore, of course he'd done that with Martha and Donna but they weren't like Rose Tyler.
After A particularly death-defying Adventure the two were sitting in the console room of the TARDIS.
He noted that even silence with her was comfortable, although he missed her voice.
Rose turned to him "you alright?" She questioned.
"Yep" he replied, popping the p "always am, life of an adventurourer yea?"
Rose grinned at him and he thought of strawberries.
After A moment of more comfortable silence she inched forward, there eyes met for a moment before she leaned up, kissing him softly. Even though he was surprised the doctor returned the kiss and after what he thought was far to short she pulled away and hestintly whispered "..I love you." The doctor smiled brightly. "I love you too Rose"
Suddenly he knew why she reminded him of strawberries.
She tasted like them.
