Work Text:
Buck put his hands up, letting the music carry him. A carefree night out like this had been long overdue, something to take his mind off the stress of work and help him reset. His body swayed back and forth and his eyes were closed as he simply enjoyed the rhythm, heedless of the other bodies around him. He was in his own world, with just enough of an alcoholic buzz to loosen his limbs and stop him from caring that he wasn't the best dancer in the world.
Coming back down to earth as the song finished, Buck opened his eyes and looked over to see Eddie watching him from the other side of the room. He was staring, a drink in one hand and eyes dark with passion.
Buck smirked, then left the dance floor to make his way over to him.
Though their other friends had been too tired to come out for drinks after their shift, Eddie hadn't even hesitated before agreeing. Buck was thrilled to have his company – without it, he probably would've just gone straight home himself.
Emboldened slightly by the alcohol in his system, Buck stepped close and asked, "Like what you see?"
"What?" Eddie asked, swallowing stiffly. His eyes flitted across Buck's face like two moths fluttering against a light.
"I said, do you like what you see?" Buck asked, stepping even closer.
"I was just… watching," Eddie mumbled.
"I noticed," Buck replied, pressing so close that their bodies were touching. "I liked that you were watching."
Eddie swallowed before asking, "You did?"
"Oh yeah," Buck said, then put his hands on Eddie's hips. "I always want you watching me."
Eddie stared back at him, looking like he was oscillating between a desire to run away and a desire to give in; Buck hoped and prayed that he would just give in. He didn't know if it was the music or the lighting or what, but he was confident he was making the right choice. He could see it in Eddie's eyes.
"How drunk are you?" Eddie asked softly.
"I'm not," Buck replied quickly, giving his head a small shake. "I've only had one drink. I've been too busy dancing."
Eddie hesitated a moment longer, then whispered, "Fuck it," and surged forward to press their lips together.
Buck let out a groan of pleasure, fingers digging into Eddie's hips as he pulled him close. Their lips fed hungrily on each other, years of wanting unleashed in this one moment. Buck couldn't breathe, but didn't want to. All he wanted was to be right here with Eddie. Enjoying the moment, soaking it up. Tasting each other, loving each other.
Eddie pulled back, pressing his forehead to Buck's and sucking in a deep breath of air. Buck tried to follow his mouth and got a hand pressed to his chest, holding him back.
"Wait," Eddie said with a soft chuckle. "Give me a minute."
Reluctantly giving up on his quest to get their lips together again, Buck instead focused his energy on working his fingers beneath Eddie's shirt to find his skin. Eddie was so firm yet pliable beneath him; Buck wanted to take him home.
"Buck," Eddie murmured, sliding his hand up Buck's chest to his neck. "What does this mean for you?"
"What do you mean?" Buck asked, tracing circles on Eddie's skin and staring at his lips like a man starving.
"I mean…" Eddie shifted back a bit more, his thumb caressing Buck's jaw. "Is this just… right time, right place?"
"Hell yeah," Buck said with a grin, and tried to duck in for another kiss.
Eddie turned his face away.
"Buck… I don't want just one night," he said quietly, sounding almost afraid as he spoke the words.
Pulling back, Buck stared at him with wide eyes. He had been so sure they were on the same page, but now he understood: Eddie thought he was just looking for a one time thing because they were both out for the night enjoying the mood and the music. Eddie didn't know how real this was, how deeply Buck felt.
"No," Buck said, shaking his head. "Neither do I. I want you, Eddie. All of you. This… This means everything to me. You mean everything to me."
A smile curled Eddie's lips and his eyes glistened with emotion. Sliding his fingers behind Buck's head, he pulled him into another kiss.
But Buck wasn't finished, so he dragged his mouth free and continued, "I love you, Eddie. I'm in love with you. You're my whole entire world and the person I wanna spend the rest of my life with. I wanna go to sleep with you and wake up next to you and watch your hair go grey."
"Sexy," Eddie teased, but there was love in his eyes. "Now can I kiss you, or do you want me to tell you how in love with you I am first?"
Buck was torn between the two choices, his eyes darting between Eddie's eyes and his mouth.
Smirking, Eddie made the decision for him.
