Work Text:
One moment he was a champion, an elite among masters
The next he was gone, like leaves in the fall
Yet his name was already known, a brand that can never be forgotten
For all his victories and his glory, were never just tall
A powerful flame, a blazing spirit of passion
But then snuffed out so fast and sudden
He was gone, hiding somewhere far away
'From what?' One wondered, another questioned
Whispers and theories flowed, like wine on a festive night
Yet this was no cheery time, for they all felt abandoned
He left, with no traces or evidence
And suddenly, the world felt far too cold
After a time the masses moved on, interest was lost
A word no one would ever have associate with the man
But now they had another boy to champion, another showman for the watchers
Another to take the place of the forgotten, just like the fates planned
And so the boy faught and battled, trained to be the best
Anything he could do to soothe the tyranny of voices
To be the very best, like no one ever was
That was his goal, not that he ever had a choice
At last he travelled to the mountain that pierced the skies
A cloud of white stained red from beastly fights
Days and nights begin to bleed into each other
As he climbed to the peak, where he could finally see light
Where the sun shone upon vast snowy white
He felt the heat and gazed around
Only for his throat to go tight
There stood another child forced to become a Master
A title that was fated forever his, even if he's dead
Yet he will never call himself that
So instead, his name shall be, Trainer Red
Just as the legends whispered, like the stories fortold
He's just like the mountain, unmovingly majestic
Scars and scrapes of a thousand stories untold
And his crimson eyes, so very, very cold.
