Chapter Text

It had been surprisingly easy to capture the Pink hedgehog. It almost seemed like a joke.

Robotnik thought as he touched his mustache. That wasn't like the hedgehog girl Who faced him Two years ago.

"You always understimated me, Robotnik! I always had this skills—"

He could hear that annoying girl's voice echoing in his head, Mocking him.

Not this time, at least.

This time he was the one laughing at her.

This time She was unarmed against him, with nothing but a vain Hope for that spiky Hero to save her.

He could have put her into a Badnik by now, turning her into a royal robot to fight Sonic with but he already knows how It would end -That Blue Pest freeing her- so to save time he just decided to use her as bait, the Metallix could deal with Sonic otherwise he would have to build something quickly.

His cameras don't show neither of them.

What is taking so long? Are they fighting in a blind spot? He hated not knowing.

Robotnik got impatient from not seeing Sonic or the Metallix on his cameras. Were they Broken? That can't be. He made them after he chained little Planet! They're New!

He checks for any messages from his Badniks or his lackey Grimmer -A Green ugly human with black hair in the form of spikes, with weird tubes connect to his shoulders —He never knew why he needed those, Grimmer never told him and he doesn't care to Know about it— His first lackey and Who gave him his very first base. Grimmer would be nothing without Robotnik to inspire him to do more. He would be just a loser.

Giving a annoyed sign he rose from his egg chair, idly crossing the many empty hallways of his New base
and had hand stroking again his mustache as he attempted to ponder what Sonic was planning.

Did he brought that weak pig? The Rabbit? The Fox? He seemed to bring that mutant with him the most.

That blue Pest was too slow for someone Who claims to be 'The fastest Thing alive'. He thought to himself.

Maybe the Chaos energy on his veins failed him and finally Lost? Unlikely. The mad doctor knew that Sonic would never give Up no Matter the odds.

It was something that Sonic always seemed to brag about with that determination on his eyes.

What a strange predicament he was in now. If Sonic succeeded he would lose again and everything would go to waste, if he beat Sonic too early then all his work would go to waste and he won't never get that hedgehog powers, but of
course, if he wanted his empire to succeed then he needed Sonic dead, he was the only one capable of that.

Strange indeed. One Young boy was the only one capable of destroying a army of Badniks single hand and inspire those critters to Rebel.

No other freedom fighther could do what the blue Hero could.

Robotnik decided to check on his captive, not having nothing else to do. His own thoughts while were pleasant company, he grow bored of It quickly.

The Pink hedgehog was still on her cell, trying to open the metal bars keeping her in place but of course, she was weak even with that small Chaos energy on her veins. Truly seemed that It only made her spikes be Pink and nothing else like she said back then.

"Well, well. How It is that our spiky friend isn't here yet?" He mockery asked her With a grin. The Girls scoffs at him.

"I'am Supposed to Know? He could be destroying your Badniks as we speak! My darling Sonic has never failed me before!

"Hahaha! There is always a first time for everthing, Amy. Specially when he doesn't seem so eager to rescue you!

Robotnik laughed in front of her face, a hand on his round belly as she looked indigned, angrily holding the bars separating them with her hands.

"Oh! You can keep laughing All you like but we both Know He Will win."

Robotnik looms over her, she gives a determined look, they both wanted Sonic to come here, Either to win or to lose.

Before any of them could keep chit chatting, the robotic doopleganger of Sonic appeared Next to Robotnik, holding one of the time Stones.

"Master. Sonic the hedgehog destroyed All UFOS on the Zone, he has 6 time Stones as we speak"

The doctor frowns at his creation before taking the gem out of his Metalic hands. Amy for once looked scared, a little by seeing the dictator almost crushing the gem with his bare hands. Some cracks formed over the gemstone but otherwise It was fine.

"Watch over her, I Will confront Sonic myself."

"Objetive: Destroy Sonic the hedgehog."

The robot replied making the human hit It on the head, to Amy's surprise.

"Not now. You're my surprise to him and I don't want to spoil It. You hear me? You Will wait for my command!"

The robotic hedgehog just stood there before nooding at it's máster and do what It was ordered. Good, obedencie was something Robotnik loved.

Now if Sonic IS just going to save the Planet first... Maybe he could turn Amy into a Badnik, make Sonic fight his robot and his girlfriend in Stardust Speedway as he watched from above.

A loud Crash was Heard and when the mad doctor turned around he found his recent creation on the ground, a bit far from the captive and there was a dent on the wall (Robotnik supposed It was the impact from the punch).

But It was certainly impresive, for a small child begin able to punch a robot based on the 'fastest Thing alive' and make a dent on the wall like nothing and yet not begin able to escape that cell.

"You. Girl."

"Go away." was her immediate response, not even bothering to look back at him.

"Don't speak to me in that way, Young lady! Or I Will turn you into a Badnik!"

"Then do It! It Will make Sonic's job more easy to save me!".

Oh. He didn't thought of that. His Badniks, most of them, were easily destroyed on a daily basis by Sonic and his group Friends, Amy was one of them of course, he had Saw her destroy the Badniks and escape in front of his nose. Making her a simple Badnik would be a Huge waste of time, especially when he now has better plans for this girl than begin bait.

Ever since Robotnik conquered Mobius, he had an archive with information about those rodents, their ages, status, etc. So he knew where to look for subjects that would serve his empire to the fulest.

So he knew Amy had No parents or caretakers. Right years old and she joined to be a thorn on his side, He knew Sonic was the only one coming after her. If he killed her Now no one would miss her. Thoughts about what he could make her do reached his mind.

What would happen if she did train, got enhancements even, or had the proper drive to really destroy?

Could she have the guts to go against her former Friends? Could she destroy them if she hated them enough to do so?

He checked his cameras before returning with Amy once again. The Metallix had returned to its feet and went to watch over the captive, this time on a good distance so she doesn't punch It again. The mad doctor had plenty of time to plan and think of this approach.

He Will make of Amy a proper weapon for the Eggman empire in no time.

"All that talk, but Sonic is not coming to save
you."

She gasped, offended, "Yes he is! Don't you lie to me!"

"Oh but I'm not." he chuckled, knowing he was getting on her head "All my cameras, robots, everything! He isn't even coming! I
suppose he doesn't care enough about you! Oh ho ho ho!"

"Liar! Sonic never failed me before and he won't do It now!"

"Ow, so much loyalty for someone Who doesn't care about you!"

He chuckle again before whispering to his robot to Take the girl somewhere else when it's time.

A few moments later and Sonic finally arrives bursting through another line of bots, dust clouds
forming around him as he stood triumphantly with the time Stones on his posesion.

"It's over Robotnik! Hand over the girl and Maybe I Will let you spend the night on a Clean cell!"

Ah yes, he was rubbing the time he managed to capture him but It didn't last long before he escaped. It only lasted a few minutes, almost Two hours but no one else but them knew about It.

"Ho ho ho! The Pink rat? I don't have her!"

"What?" Sonic frowns, not beliving him.

"She escaped her cell before you came so I sended my Metallix to kill her, if she wasn't going to let herself be turned into a Badnik then what use I have for her?"

"You're lying!" Sonic wanted to Argue that he wasn't THAT Evil but what the doctor said was pretty in character for him. Robotnik always but people into the robots and called It a day, if that wasn't posible then he sends someone or a Badnik to get rid of them.

Maybe It was the part of him that still remembers Kintobor, the kind scientist that took him in and raised Sonic into Who he is now. Robotnik was Kintobor but turned wrong, he Know It, he Saw It and yet a vague hope resided in him that some part of the man he used to Know and care about was still in there.

He missed Kintobor so much, he would never admit it.

Robotnik un normal eyes (black with red iris) seemed to shine as he approach the Hero.

"Oh dear Metallix, can you come here and show Sonic that girl last moments?

The metal hedgehog stood there as the blue Blur glared at It in disgust. Yet another lookalike.Generally, the whole thing felt creepy to him, it was quite literally like looking in an evil mirror. It was like Extra Life All over again. It was like the world wanted to spite on both him and Kintobor at the same time.

The Metalic red eyes turned black staring right into Sonic's soul before he heard Amy's voice erupt from it's chest?

"No! Stop! Please! Don't do it! NO! NO! HELP! SOMEBODY! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!"

an ear piercing, screech as Amy's voice grew more distant followed by a thud and a laser shoot in the audio, Sonic felt his heart drop. A moment of denial in his chest as he looked over at the grinning madman.

This was It. That was the confirmation that Kintobor was gone, that The kind man Who wanted to change the world for the better no longer exists but instead a empty shell that wanted to make the world suffer in misery for sick pleasure.

Yet It was hard to belive that Amy was gone just like that. That the dictator just seemed her as useless for escaping and killed her... He couldn't have, the girl was annoying as much as she could be, weird, had lied about her and Sonic begin a couple but she was sweet and kind and cleary had people that cared about her, an entire future for herself, and he just....?.. 

... And Sonic had been such a jerk towards her. She died with having a bad image of him too.

"Maybe next time don't be so slow old pal." That was the last straw.

Sonic glared with newfound fury as the Metallix sparkles to Life once again and launched itself to fight its target.

The doctor decided to retreat. He was done and he had plans to do.

A Young Fox with Two Tails was piloting a red Planet with Sonic's logo on It, sitting there was a pig and a grey Rabbit, both males were wearing the same red jacked and blue pants.

They landed in Never Lake a bit too late as they Saw the blue Blur running away from the Miracle Plannet Who disappeared in blue lights in star shape but before that It drew Sonic's face before fading away.

The doctor Fleetway away with one time Stone but a rock Who was throw at him made his eggmobile explote and made It drop It.

"... Sonic?"

Tails was the first one to ask, seeing how... Shaken Up the blue hedgehog was, of course Sonic was very good at hiding any thoughts that could ruin his image of 'cool, patient and calm' Guy even hiding any pain or disconfort from his Friends. The Fox just wanted to make sure his friend was okey.

"Where is Amy?"

Johnny Lightfoot, Who have noticed that Amy wasn't with him, asked making the hedgehog frown again. He tensed again, his foot almost taking a step back.

"... Gone. I-I didn't reach her in time."

Sonic tried hard to not Take It on his Friends, It wasn't their fault he couldn't save Amy, Sonic was the only one to blame.
