Is Fourth Nattawat A Cat?

Summary:

Gemini conducts a classic research and compares the two cats in his life.

Notes:

I've taken some notes from the researches I actually conducted because I've never owned a cat in my life, and has always been a dog person. This is what I've come across. Hope you enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Gemini had always wondered why Fourth reminded him so much of Lord Jumu, his favorite non-human companion on earth.

There were moments—strange, fleeting moments—when he could almost swear he heard Fourth meow. He’d blink in disbelief, his mouth hanging open as he watched his best friend curl up under some piece of furniture and promptly doze off. The sight was both amusing and confusing, and no matter how many times it happened, it never failed to leave Gemini stunned.

It wasn’t just him who noticed the similarities either. Their fans often compared Fourth to a cat and Gemini to a dog, a comparison that never quite sat right with Gemini. Sure, he was loyal, energetic, and always ready to help, but Fourth as a cat? He couldn’t wrap his head around it—at least not entirely.

Still, the idea gnawed at him. Determined to prove it wrong, Gemini decided to make a comparison. A thorough one. Fourth Nattawat couldn’t really be a cat, could he?

So he watched. Carefully. He noticed how Fourth’s eyes would soften just like Lord Jumu’s whenever he was feeling especially cozy, how Fourth would stretch out languidly across couches, much like Lord Jumu sprawled across the carpet. It was unnerving, how the similarities piled up. Fourth had a certain feline grace to him, and as much as Gemini wanted to prove himself that he was right, he couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, his best friend was more cat-like than he’d ever realized.

“Fourth can’t be a cat,” he muttered to himself, trying to convince his racing thoughts. But the more he compared, the more he wasn’t so sure anymore.

“Can he?!”

  1. Signs your cat is happy and relaxed

There’s nothing more heartwarming than seeing a happy cat, or at least, that’s what Gemini thought—until he saw Fourth giggling, his face lighting up with pure joy.

Lord Jumu, his beloved cat, had this way of greeting him: tail upright, sometimes curved at the tip, padding over with soft eyes half-closed—more like a rugby ball than the wide-alert gaze of a cat on edge. When Gemini scooped him up for a cuddle, Lord Jumu would look up at him, gentle and trusting, eyes brimming with warmth.

Gemini thought that kind of affection was strictly feline behavior, reserved for his furry companion. But he couldn’t have been more wrong.

As he sat on a beanbag, lazily sprawled, waiting for Phuwin to hurry up and put on the movie, Fourth arrived. And the moment Fourth saw him, there was a noticeable skip in his step, an undeniable glint in his eye. Gemini blinked, stunned, as Fourth all but bounded over, snuggling in beside him, pulling his legs up, and leaning into Gemini’s chest with a soft, contented sigh.

And was he... purring?

Phuwin, on the other side, was pretending to be unfazed by the scene, but Gemini couldn’t look away. Fourth’s warmth enveloped him, his familiar scent filling Gemini’s senses. The way Fourth was slowly blinking at him, a soft smile playing on his lips, sent Gemini’s heart racing. He knew that cats blinked slowly to show trust and relaxation. He’d even done it back to Lord Jumu a few times—blinking slowly, then turning his head away to show he wasn’t a threat.

So, just for fun, he tried it with Fourth. He stared at Fourth, his boba eyes gently blinking as Fourth mirrored his expression.

Fourth’s smile widened as he melted even further into Gemini’s chest, before wriggling onto his lap, rolling onto his back like a kitten looking for belly rubs.

Huh?

Gemini just stared, dumbfounded, at his clingy best friend. Phuwin, who had been quietly snickering at the scene next to him, burst into loud laughter.

“He’s acting so smitten with you, Gem,” Phuwin managed between fits of laughter.

“Ai’Fot,” Gemini groaned, playfully smacking Fourth’s forehead, eliciting a bright laugh from the younger boy. “What’s wrong with you?”

“Are you kittenish?” Fourth asked, blinking slowly at him, his grin mischievous.

What?!” Gemini blinked back, thoroughly confused.

Phuwin’s giggling turned into full-blown, uncontrollable laughter, his whole body shaking as he doubled over. Fourth was laughing too, their laughter filling the room and bouncing off the walls. Gemini’s eyes darted between the two of them, utterly lost.

“I asked if you’re ticklish,” Fourth explained through his giggles, grabbing Gemini’s hands and placing them on his own stomach. “Time for belly rubs!”

That was the final straw. Gemini had had enough. He pushed Fourth off and stood up, his face a mixture of disbelief and exasperation. The other two were rolling on the floor now, laughing so hard they were practically gasping for air. Needless to say, no one managed to watch the movie in peace that night.

And Lord Jumu? He was banned from Gemini’s room that night.

  1. Signs your cat is anxious or stressed

Gemini had learned that a lot of things could make a cat anxious—other cats, loud noises, or even something as simple as the hum of a new washing machine. Whenever Lord Jumu felt uneasy, he’d stay close to the ground, ears flattened against his head, his wide, alert eyes scanning the room. And then, just like that, he’d bolt—darting away to hide in some obscure corner, completely ignoring Gemini’s calls. No matter how hard he tried to coax him out, Lord Jumu would only come back on his own terms, once the world felt safe again. Gemini had come to understand that space was what Lord Jumu needed, even if it pained him to wait.

When it came to Fourth, however, space wasn’t exactly the plan.

Gemini needed to practice for their kiss scene in “My Love Mix-Up”, and if there was one thing he didn’t want, it was delivering a lackluster kiss onscreen, especially with their last one still circulating on social media—accompanied by all sorts of bizarre captions. So, with some hesitation, he asked Fourth if he’d come over to practice. And to his surprise (and mild relief), Fourth agreed, though he seemed a little unsure himself.

After driving them both home, Gemini stepped into his condo, and Lord Jumu—who was staying with him for the week—took one look at Fourth, flattened his ears, and disappeared without a trace. Gemini stared after his cat, confused. Lord Jumu rarely got along with anyone besides him, so maybe that was why he ran off... Or maybe it was something else. Something that Gemini didn’t want to admit—a feeling deep down that compared Fourth to another cat, invading Lord Jumu’s territory and stressing him out.

“So…” Fourth started, standing in the middle of the living room with his hands awkwardly at his sides, “Where do you wanna…?”

He trailed off, but Gemini knew exactly what he was asking. Clearing his throat, he pointed at the sofa. Was that the right spot for this? Fourth didn’t seem to mind. He hopped onto the couch, tucking his legs beneath him, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Gemini dropped his bag beside the sofa and joined him, his legs dangling over the edge as he tried to act casual.

Although casual was far from what he was feeling.

“Alright, before we do anything, you need to relax, okay?” Fourth said, his tone oddly soothing as he reached out to gently stroke Gemini’s cheek.

The touch sent a shock through Gemini’s entire body, and he swallowed hard, nodding in agreement even though relaxation seemed impossible right now. Fourth’s fingers were drawing maddening patterns on his skin making it almost impossible to even think straight (hah), but Gemini decided to shake his head to rid his mind of, frankly unnerving thoughts. He brought his hands up to cup Fourth’s cheeks, feeling the warmth beneath his palms, his heart thundering against his chest. Fourth leaned into his touch and Gemini all but melted right then and there.

“You ready?” Fourth tilted his head slightly, and in that moment, he looked so much like Lord Jumu—head at that odd angle, eyes soft, curious.

Gemini shook his head, instinctively, without even realizing what he was doing. He was too lost in the mental whirlwind of comparing Fourth to Lord Jumu; too tangled in the thought that maybe Fourth indeed was Lord Jumu’s competition. It took him a couple of seconds to realize that Fourth was trying to pull away—trying to give him space to ready himself.

But Gemini was ready.

And before Fourth could pull away, before he could second-guess everything, Gemini leaned in, closing the space between them. His lips pressed against Fourth’s, soft and uncertain at first, but then fuller and warmer as the seconds ticked by. Fourth’s lips moved against his with a hunger that made Gemini's heart pound in his chest. When Fourth deepened the kiss, Gemini let him in, surrendering to the warm, insistent press of his lips. He could feel Fourth’s hands sliding from his cheeks down to his neck, fingers gripping the fabric of his t-shirt as if to anchor himself. He breathed into the kiss, lips parting slightly to welcome more oxygen—except it wasn’t oxygen that he received. It was Fourth’s tongue, and that too, ardently.

The sudden rush of heat between them sent a groan slipping from Gemini’s mouth, raw and unrestrained. Fourth’s grip loosened on his shirt, only to settle at the back of his neck, pulling him in closer, tighter. In those moments, there was no space, no thinking—just the feel of Fourth’s arms wrapping around him, the warmth of their tangled bodies on the couch. The sound of their kisses—messy, loud—was the only thing breaking the silence in the room.

A soft, almost desperate mewl escaped Fourth’s lips as Gemini lowered them both onto the sofa, his legs tangling with Fourth’s as if they couldn’t bear to be apart. He couldn’t even tell where Kongthap and Atom’s fictional kisses ended and where his and Fourth’s real ones began, and frankly, he didn’t care anymore. The boundaries had long since blurred, and the moment felt so real, so electric, that nothing else mattered.

Another quiet sound left Fourth, and this time, Gemini pulled back just slightly, his breath coming in uneven gasps—as their lips separated with a loud, embarrassing smack. He hovered over Fourth, staring down at him. Fourth blinked up at him with dazed, half-lidded eyes, his lips red and swollen, glistening from the aftermath of Gemini’s fervent kisses. He looked thoroughly wrecked, and Gemini felt a strange sense of pride at the sight—but then, a creeping sensation settled over him, like someone was watching them. He gently turned to his head sideways and narrowed his eyes at the image right in front of them.

This lil sh

“Gem?” Fourth’s voice broke through the haze, rough and unused, as Gemini turned to look down at Fourth once again, “What’s… what’s wrong?”

It hit him then—they hadn’t been practicing for a while now. What was meant to be a brief rehearsal had turned into something much more intense, much more real. Five minutes had passed—maybe more—and it felt like a lifetime in the best way. Gemini’s hand instinctively reached up to brush Fourth’s fringe away from his eyes, a tender, almost instinctive gesture.

But that small act seemed to jolt Fourth back to reality. His eyes widened in alarm, and before Gemini could react, Fourth was sitting up, pushing him away, and darting off into his bedroom without a word.

Gemini sat up, chest heaving, staring at the now-closed door in confusion. The room felt suddenly empty, and when he turned around, his gaze met Lord Jumu’s again. The cat was perched on the floor, staring at him with what Gemini could only describe as disapproval.

“What?” Gemini asked, scrunching his eyebrows in frustration. “Do I need to get your permission to kiss boys now?”

Lord Jumu let out an angry meow, as if in response, and Gemini groaned, rubbing his face with his hands. He was talking to cats now.

  1. Signs your cat is feeling very threatened

Ever since that life-altering kiss he had with Fourth, Gemini had felt Lord Jumu’s disapproval all the time.

He walked around the condo with an arched back and a tensed tail—as if he was trying to look bigger and more intimidating—as he would regard Gemini with a look that could only be described as a permanent scowl. Whenever Fourth visited his condo—with “practicing” excuses, where they’d basically either watch a movie, cuddled up or end up making out on the couch—Lord Jumu would walk around, fur standing on the end and his whiskers would point at Fourth—as if he was sizing up his competition.

Thankfully though, Lord Jumu didn’t hiss, and Gemini knew that he wasn’t scared or extremely threatened—he was just fighting over Fourth to mark his territory. In Lord Jumu’s mind this was his condo and Fourth was walking all over his condo and trying to control his Gemini.

At first, it was funny—Fourth’s little quirks, the way he’d act almost cat-like around Gemini. But that amusement began to wane when Fourth started behaving the same way around their friends. Especially whenever Indy, Gemini’s high school best friend, was there.

At first, Gemini figured that Fourth was just struggling to blend in with the group. Maybe he was having trouble getting along with people. But then Gemini started to notice a pattern. Whenever Indy laughed or joked with him, Fourth would sit up straighter, his gaze fixed solely on Indy. It was like nothing else in the room existed.

“Why’s your boyfriend—sorry, bestie—looking at us like that?” Indy asked, during one of their dinners.

His tone was light, but there was a flicker of curiosity behind his words. Gemini, startled, turned to look at Fourth. The scowl on Fourth’s face made Gemini freeze. The joy drained from his expression, his brows knitting together in confusion.

“I—” Gemini stammered, tilting his head slightly as he met Fourth’s gaze. As soon as their eyes locked, Fourth’s scowl softened into something more neutral, almost innocent. “I literally have no idea.”

Indy let out a knowing laugh, as if a light bulb had just gone off in his mind. “He looks a bit like Lord Jumu when I used to come over to your condo. It’s cute.”

Gemini blinked, turning back to Indy. “You think he’s cute too?”

Indy’s laughter died down as he clarified, “Not like you do. I mean, you’re down bad for him. But, yeah, he has these cute little quirks. Except for that glare—it's cute unless you're the one he's aiming it at. Which, right now, is me.”

Gemini scoffed, shoving a few pieces of sushi into his mouth to avoid responding too quickly. “I’m not down bad for him.”

“Yeah, sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night,” Indy teased with a casual shrug before slipping an arm around his girlfriend's shoulders.

Gemini scratched the back of his neck, the weight of Indy’s words settling over him as he glanced over at Fourth again. Fourth was smiling, talking politely with a few of the others at the table, but as soon as Indy spoke directly to him, that glare returned. It wasn’t just a quick glance or an annoyed look. It was a full-on laser-focused stare that sent shivers down Gemini’s spine. He wanted to laugh it off, but the intensity of it was... unnerving. And as much as he didn’t want to admit it, a part of him was scared too.

That evening, Gemini decided to drive Fourth home, hoping to get to the bottom of things. He felt the tension simmering between them all day, and now, alone in the car, he couldn’t let it slide any longer. As Fourth buckled himself into the passenger seat, Gemini turned to face him, eyes narrowed.

"What was that earlier?" he asked, his voice probing, curious.

And there it was—Fourth's entire demeanor changed. His back straightened, his eyes flickered with alertness, and he puffed out his cheeks, like he was trying to look tough, defensive. Was he feeling... threatened?

“What was what?” Fourth asked casually, though Gemini could hear the slight edge in his voice as he fumbled with the seatbelt.

“Be a bit more specific, Gem.”

Gemini nodded slowly, starting the car and pulling onto the road. "Do you hate my friends?"

Fourth scoffed immediately, sounding almost offended. “Why—why would I hate your friends?”

"Okay, let me put it this way." Gemini's tone softened, though his curiosity remained sharp. "Do you feel threatened by my friends? By Indy?"

Another scoff, this one louder, but no quick answer followed. Gemini stole a glance at Fourth, catching the flush creeping up his neck and the redness blooming across his cheeks. He was embarrassed.

“Fourth?” Gemini asked again, his voice softer now but still prodding.

“Fine,” Fourth muttered, swatting at his thighs in frustration before turning to face Gemini. “What was all that ‘before GeminiFourth, it was GeminiIndy? Or IndyGemini?’ huh?”

Gemini’s foot pressed the brake harder than he intended as he stared at Fourth, wide-eyed. So, Fourth wasn’t just acting out—he was jealous. Fourth, who was always so playful and carefree, was actually jealous of Indy?

A smile tugged at Gemini’s lips, amusement and disbelief coloring his voice. “You’re jealous.”

Fourth’s eyes flared with frustration as he glared back. “Does my misery make you happy? You’re impossible.”

“No, you’re impossible,” Gemini shot back, unable to stop his grin from widening. “You’re literally acting like a jealous boy—jealous... person right now.”

“Well, obviously!” Fourth’s voice spiked with annoyance, his nostrils flaring. “Indy is your best friend. I’m your best friend too. Of course I’d feel jealous. Do you have zero brain cells, Gem?”

Gemini leaned against the steering wheel, still grinning, watching Fourth as his blush deepened. His face was flushed red, and the tips of his ears were tinged the same shade. He was embarrassed, flustered, and mad all at once.

It hit Gemini then—Fourth looked exactly like Lord Jumu. And for the second time that day, the comparison made Gemini's heart swell with affection.

"You really are like Lord Jumu," Gemini murmured, shaking his head in amusement.

Fourth groaned, slumping into his seat, but that only made the corners of Gemini's smile lift higher.

  1. Why do cats hide?

It’s normal for cats to hide—it’s their way of finding safety, comfort, or just a peaceful corner to nap. And that was fine, Gemini thought, until Fourth started hiding too. He’d been trying to reach him for days, calling, texting, even leaving voice notes, but all he got back was a clipped "I’m busy" before the line went dead. The eerie similarity between Fourth and Lord Jumu was driving him crazy because, just like Fourth, Lord Jumu had started hiding too.

At first, Gemini thought it was stress or maybe Lord Jumu was sick, so he booked a vet appointment, just to be sure.

After the check-up, the vet reassured him, “Lord Jumu’s perfectly healthy. Cats just need their space sometimes. They’ll come out when they feel safe again. Trying to coax them out might make things worse.”

He was perfectly fine, but something might’ve triggered him so much that he went to hiding immediately. Maybe it was a surge of emotions, maybe it was general anxiety. But it could even be fireworks that went off recently next to his condo during New Year celebrations. Gemini decided to use the same method when it came to his feline-human companion too.

But the silence stretched. Fourth never called back. Days passed, and it was as if he’d vanished from Gemini’s world, leaving an empty space where his best friend used to be. Gemini wandered around his condo, restless, phone in hand, but with no messages or calls from Fourth and no sign of Lord Jumu either.

A week later, the impossible happened. Fourth showed up at his door, standing there with his arms full of containers, looking completely out of place.

"Mae wanted me to give these to you," Fourth said, voice steady but his eyes flickering with something Gemini couldn’t quite place.

Gemini blinked in surprise, murmuring a soft thank you as he took the containers, the weight of them heavier than it should’ve been. Fourth’s mother has always been affectionate when it came to him and this was no any difference from her usual treatment. If he went to Fourth’s place, his mother would do the same.

Fourth lingered awkwardly, as if unsure whether he should stay or leave. Gemini seized the moment, not wanting him to slip away again.

"Want to help me eat these?" Gemini asked, holding the containers up as an excuse. "I’d burst if I ate all this alone."

"You can keep them in the fridge," Fourth countered, avoiding his gaze.

"There’s no space in the fridge," Gemini lied easily.

With a resigned sigh, Fourth walked in, nodding slightly. They sat down at the dinner table, containers open between them, but the silence hung heavier than the food. Gemini’s eyes kept flicking over to Fourth, searching for something—an explanation, an apology, maybe even just a reason for the distance. But Fourth said nothing, and the weight of what wasn’t said seemed to fill the room more than the meal in front of them.

Gemini decided to break the silence, his voice soft but probing.

"You’ve been busy these days?" He asked, holding his chopsticks between his teeth, eyes locked on Fourth like he was waiting for something more than just an answer.

Fourth looked up, startled, "Hm? Oh, no—yeah, well. A little..."

"A little, huh?" Gemini's gaze dropped back to his plate, a shadow crossing his face. "So little that you couldn’t even answer my calls?"

The sharp clang of Fourth's chopsticks hitting the plate filled the room. His mouth hung open, panic flashing in his eyes. "I—I—I did answer—"

"Just to say you were busy," Gemini shot back, the hurt in his voice unmistakable. "Fot, what’s going on? Why are you avoiding me?"

Fourth scoffed, a defensive reflex he’d developed recently. "I'm not avoiding you."

"Then stay over," Gemini leaned back, crossing his arms, challenging him.

"What?" Fourth's face flushed instantly, and Gemini noticed, a small smirk playing on his lips. It was a small victory, and he savored it. He didn’t even know why he enjoyed making Fourth blush so much, but he did—perhaps it was revenge for all the times Fourth had left him flustered in front of their fans.

"Stay over," Gemini repeated, nonchalant but insistent. "It’s not like it’s the first time."

Fourth's hand trembled slightly as he reached for his phone, standing abruptly. "I—I’ve got to go act—"

"Fourth," Gemini cut him off, his gaze never leaving his plate, but his voice firm. "You haven’t eaten."

But Fourth ignored him—or maybe he was just pretending not to hear—as he made a beeline for the door, steps quickening. A heavy sigh escaped Gemini as he stood, determination flashing in his eyes. He sprinted towards the door just as Fourth reached it. Before Fourth could step outside, Gemini slammed the door shut, pinning him between the wood and his body. Fourth gasped, turning to face Gemini, whose breath ghosted over his skin, far too close for comfort. There was no escape.

"What’s wrong, hm?" Gemini's voice was low, dangerously smooth as he leaned in, his eyes tracing every detail of Fourth’s flushed face.

"Nothing's—" Fourth began, but Gemini’s hand slammed against the door, trapping him completely.

"Fot, what’s wrong?" Gemini demanded again, his voice softer now, but relentless.

Fourth squeezed his eyes shut, his breath shaky and uneven, as if just being near Gemini overwhelmed him.  Gemini could feel the tension in the air like an electric current, buzzing between them as he pressed his hand against the door, trapping Fourth in place. His breath was shallow, his pulse steady but fast, and yet—there was this knot in his chest. He didn’t want to scare Fourth, but he couldn’t keep pretending like nothing was wrong. Not when Fourth had been avoiding him for days, brushing off every call, every attempt to talk.

“Nothing’s wrong,” Fourth said again, but Gemini could hear the tremor in his voice.

It was a lie, one so flimsy it would’ve shattered under any real pressure. Gemini narrowed his eyes, leaning closer, searching Fourth’s face for the truth. He could see it there—the uncertainty, the hesitation, the fear. But why? What was it that Fourth couldn’t say?

“If nothing’s wrong, then why are you running?” he asked, voice low but steady.

The way Fourth swallowed hard and looked away only confirmed what Gemini had suspected all along. He wasn’t just busy. He wasn’t avoiding Gemini because of some random reason. He was hiding—from Gemini, from whatever was going on between them, from the kiss.

The kiss that had changed everything.

Fourth cleared his throat, blinking rapidly as he avoided Gemini’s gaze. "I’m not running. I—I just... needed some space."

“Space? Or are you hiding?” Gemini's tone softened, hoping it would get through. The last thing he wanted was to push Fourth further away, but he wasn’t about to let him slip through his fingers without understanding why.

Fourth’s lips parted, but no sound came out. His chest rose and fell rapidly, like he was trying to catch his breath, and that was when it hit Gemini just how much Fourth had been struggling. But instead of saying anything, Fourth stayed silent, his eyes wide and uncertain, as if he didn’t know what to do next.

Gemini’s hand drifted down to Fourth’s arm, brushing against his skin softly, and he felt Fourth shiver at the touch. It was almost painful to see him like this, so tense and defensive when all Gemini wanted was for things to be easy again. Like they used to be.

“You’re not yourself, Fot,” he said gently. “I know you better than that.”

When Fourth finally looked at him, there was something in his eyes—something vulnerable, raw. Gemini’s heart clenched, and suddenly, everything else fell away. The awkwardness, the silence, the distance—it didn’t matter. All that mattered was the person in front of him, the best friend he knew was hiding something big, something important.

Gemini leaned in slightly, his breath catching as he spoke softly into Fourth’s ear. “Talk to me. Don’t shut me out.”

For a moment, Fourth just stood there, eyes darting around like he was still trying to figure out his next move. And then, finally, his hands clenched into fists at his sides, his voice breaking the heavy silence.

“Gem, I... I don’t know how to deal with this,” Fourth whispered, voice shaky, “I don’t know how to deal with you.”

Gemini froze. Deal with him? His heart skipped a beat, his mind racing as the words sank in. All this time, he’d thought maybe it was something small—something Fourth could just brush off. But now, standing there, hearing those words, he realized it wasn’t small at all. Fourth wasn’t just confused. He was lost, trying to figure out how to deal with the feelings between them, just like Gemini was.

"You don’t have to deal with me, Fot." Gemini’s voice softened as he released his hold on the door and let his hand slide down to gently wrap around Fourth’s wrist. "You just have to let me in."

There was a long, agonizing pause where Gemini could feel Fourth’s heartbeat beneath his fingertips, fast and unsteady, just like his own. Fourth didn’t say anything right away, but Gemini could see the tension slowly easing out of his shoulders, his defenses crumbling little by little. He wasn’t running anymore, wasn’t hiding.

Fourth nodded finally, exhaling a breath that seemed to carry all his pent-up confusion with it. "Okay," he whispered, barely loud enough for Gemini to hear. "I’ll stop hiding."

Gemini felt relief flood through him as Fourth relaxed, finally lowering the walls he had been hiding behind for days.

“Good” he said, before leaning down to close the gap between their lips.

  1. Why do cats purr?

When Gemini fluttered his eyes open the next morning, a gentle warmth pressed against his chest, accompanied by a soft, familiar purring. For a brief, blissful moment, he thought Lord Jumu had returned from hiding. But the weight on his body was far heavier than the small cat.

As the fog of sleep lifted, flashes of last night danced behind his eyes—Fourth.

Carefully, Gemini tilted his head down, and there he was—Fourth, sprawled over him like a living, breathing blanket. His heart swelled at the sight, a tender smile tugging at his lips. So this was what people meant by the post-coital glow. Fourth embodied it perfectly.

Gemini couldn’t tear his eyes away. Fourth’s long lashes grazed his flushed cheeks, lips soft and slightly parted in a dreamy pout. His messy hair spilled over Gemini’s chest like a halo, and the steady rise and fall of his breath was calming, almost melodic. One of his arms was loosely wrapped around Gemini’s waist, as if he instinctively clung to him, even in sleep.

He looks like a cat, Gemini mused with amusement. Their fans had always said Fourth resembled a cat, and now Gemini couldn’t deny it. Down to the soft purring noises he was making in his sleep, Fourth was every bit the feline his fans had claimed him to be. Even Lord Jumu seemed to think so—no wonder the cat had been sulking.

Another soft purr escaped Fourth’s lips as Gemini gently brushed the stray strands of hair from his forehead. A soft frown flickered across Fourth's face, and Gemini chuckled quietly, unable to resist tracing the delicate lines of his expression.

“Mm,” Fourth groaned, stirring slightly, his glossy boba eyes fluttering open. Confusion clouded them at first, before recognition slowly settled in as his gaze met Gemini’s.

“Gem?” Fourth murmured, his voice soft and sleepy, and the sound sent a wave of warmth through Gemini’s chest.

Gemini smiled softly as Fourth blinked in confusion, gradually waking up and meeting his eyes. There was a mix of warmth and amusement in Gemini's gaze as he stroked Fourth's hair again, feeling a strange sense of affection bubble up.

“Morning,” Gemini said, his voice quiet but teasing, unable to resist poking fun at Fourth’s adorable post-sleep daze.

Gemini’s grin widened. “You were purring again,” he teased lightly, his hand trailing through Fourth’s hair, "Just like Lord Jumu."

“You’re not done with that, huh?” Fourth asked, burying his face against his pillow as he turned to face Gemini who was looking at him confused, “I saw what you were doing—comparing me to Lord Jumu. P’Phuwin told me to pretend to be like a cat”

Ah, that’s why he acted insane during their movie night. Gemini groaned as he ruffled his hair, “How long?”

“You’re really not subtle when you’re on social media” Fourth smiled, as his hands gently brushed against Gemini’s cheek, “Reposting all those videos of me looking like a cat? You’re insane”

“Well, it’s true though” Gemini replied, pulling himself closer to Fourth, who’s eyebrows quirked up with confusion, “You really do remind me of Lord Jumu sometimes, and I’ve come to a conclusion. You are a cat”

At that, Fourth groaned again but peeked up from his hiding spot, his cheeks flushed. "I'm not a cat, Gem," he muttered defensively, though the way he was curled up on top of Gemini said otherwise.

"Sure you’re not," Gemini said, his hand finding its way to Fourth’s hair again, stroking it gently. "You’re just lying on me, purring, and acting like you own the place. Definitely not cat-like at all."

Fourth narrowed his eyes, lips twitching into a reluctant smile despite his efforts to seem serious. “You’re insufferable.”

Gemini shrugged, unable to wipe the smile off his face. “Maybe. But you like it.”

Fourth didn’t deny it. Instead, he sighed and shifted slightly, getting more comfortable in his position on top of Gemini.

“So,” Fourth began, blinking at Gemini with feigned innocence, “last night happened.”

“Mm,” Gemini replied, a shy smile creeping across his lips as he wrapped his arms around Fourth’s waist. “How do you feel?”

“A little exhausted… but I’m happy.” Fourth’s voice was genuine, but the way he bit his lower lip hinted at a shyness that made Gemini’s heart race. “So, what does that make us?”

“Definitely not best friends,” Gemini chuckled, dodging Fourth’s playful smack to his shoulder. “Leave that position for Indy.”

He pulled Fourth back onto his chest, where Fourth nestled comfortably, wrapping his arms around Gemini’s shoulders. The tousled hair framing Fourth’s face made him look even more ethereal, and before he could think twice, Gemini leaned in, pressing a quick kiss to Fourth’s lips.

“What was that for?” Fourth gasped, eyes wide with surprise.

“A new beginning?” Gemini suggested, tilting his head slightly, uncertainty lacing his tone.

Just then, a soft purr echoed from the floor, breaking the moment. Both boys turned their heads, alert. Lord Jumu was crouched there, eyes narrowed at Fourth as if sizing him up. The moment Gemini called him over, however, the cat leaped onto the bed, unceremoniously toppling Fourth aside before curling up on Gemini’s chest.

Fourth shot Lord Jumu a playful glare but quickly leaned beside Gemini, pressing a gentle kiss on his shoulder. “Is he jealous?”

As he reached out to pet Lord Jumu, the cat hissed and swatted at him, reinforcing the idea that he wasn’t in the mood for affection.

“Just like someone I know,” Gemini teased, a knowing glint in his eye.

At that, both Lord Jumu and Fourth mirrored expressions of shock and mock annoyance, directing their glares at Gemini. He couldn’t help but laugh at the uncanny similarity between the two. He really did have two cats in his life.

And to answer the burning question: ‘Is Fourth Nattawat a cat?’ The answer was a resounding yes—most definitely yes.
