Work Text:

Rosa Maria. She was a relatively short girl with dyed purple hair and a sweet personality – Well, truthfully, Ally had never interacted with her personally due to being on different teams, but she'd seen her enough to know that she was a pretty caring person. Someone who didn't like holding grudges and wanted to be a good example to her daughter at home. She truly was an admirable person, and Ally certainly wouldn't have minded being her friend.

Though, when it hit the eventual merge, Rosa Maria had often stuck around with Riya and Lake, and Ally stuck around with Hunter and Tess. On occasion, they'd interacted but that was mostly while waiting for the challenges, nothing more. Rosa Maria had this

thing to her. Though she was supposedly “rebellious”, she was by no means bad. She was probably one of the sweetest people here.

Here they were. The game was close to ending, and neither Rosa Maria or Ally had been eliminated. Due to the now limited number of players, they'd grown a bit more friendly with each other. Tess had been eliminated, it was a saddening elimination for both Hunter and Ally, though it seemed to help Ally eventually make new friends. And, of course, Rosa was one of those friends. They just naturally clicked. Both of them loved to have fun and were overall kind people who loved making friends, and it certainly made their friendship stronger than it would be.

Truthfully, had she expected to make friends with Rosa Maria? Not really. She hadn't been separated from Hunter and Tess this entire game despite her love for making friends, though being more open was certainly inviting. It helped her meet Rosa. She certainly was pretty, wasn't she? Someone as inviting and kind as her would naturally make anyone like her.
Ally had loved to play games, it was obvious and it was all she seemed to talk about. Everyone at home had always thought her obsession was funny, as she seemed heavily hyper fixated on it. That's why when the two would talk, she'd always talk about her favorite games or just make any game references she could. It was geeky, yeah, but Rosa Maria found it kinda cute. The girl was certainly nerdy, but her dedication to the things she loved was certainly sweet. She and Rosa both stood up for what they loved.

As they got closer, the competition slimmed. Elimination after elimination, everyone else was a bit on edge. After all, the risk of losing a million dollars would certainly stress everyone out. Did Ally really care about the money? Yeah, it would certainly be amazing being a millionaire, but she was fine if she didn't win. She came here to make friends and she found some in Hunter, Tess and Rosa. She and Hunter were friends. Best friends, even, and they'd grown closer and closer over the competition. A LOT of people assumed the two were together, but they weren't. It was.. fast, but Ally had someone else in mind. She liked Hunter, but there was someone she admired more. Why? She doesn't even know. It seemingly happened overnight, but a certain purple haired goddess has managed to find her way into her heart. Sure, the crush was probably stupid and would go nowhere, but she couldn't help but feel drawn to her. She'd listened to her rant, she'd even gotten her to play a few games. She'd defend her when she needed it, and Ally appreciated that fact. Did she even have any bad traits? Who knows. Sometimes she wishes real life dating was as easy as it is in cringy dating simulators.

Eventually, when it came down to it, there were only Rosa, Riya, Hunter, James and Aiden. She wasn't particularly close to anyone besides Rosa and Hunter at this point, and she'd even almost been eliminated, but due to Karol being injured she was able to stay. She knew she was probably gonna get eliminated soon, due to her alliance with Hunter being one of the most powerful in the game. She couldn't just let herself go without telling the girl how she felt, she knew that, she'd regret it for like, forever if she did, but she wasn't exactly sure how to confess. Ally wasn't exactly the best with confession, especially since she'd never confessed to a girl before. It was all new, incredibly nerve-wracking, yet it also felt right.

That's why when her inevitable elimination had come, she'd asked if Rosa could go with her. Of course, her best friend had said bye to her, yet when he left it was Rosa’s turn to say goodbye. Ally wasn't sure how to exactly go about this, being a socially awkward girl certainly had it's major faults, but eventually she had managed. It was a bit silent for a few moments. She knew she didn't have time, but she didn't really know how to phrase what she had to say. Rosa Maria had stayed, seemingly picking up on her nervousness. She'd questioned if she was okay, and Ally had responded with a quick nod. She took a deep breath, and right before the bus had arrived to pick her up, she had finally confessed. The words

“I have a crush on you”

seemingly came out impulsively, leaving both of them surprised. The silence after the confession was a bit unnerving, but eventually Rosa Maria went to respond. She had a faint blush on her cheeks, clearly flattered by the other girl's confession. Ally certainly was a likable girl, strange but sweet. Rosa Maria couldn't deny that she enjoyed the time spent together. She'd responded with a surprisingly positive response, telling her she had appreciated the time she spent with her and may have been willing to continue this. Ally certainly hasn't expected that. She knew she hadn't spent that much time with Rosa Maria at first, but when the merge hit, their time spent together was remarkable. They clicked so well, how could they not fall for eachother? She knew her best friends would be cheering her on if she saw this. With a sudden rush of confidence, she had grabbed onto her new found lover's hand, leaning in, but before anything had happened the bus had arrived to pick Ally up. The separation was certainly.. upsetting, but Ally was glad to have Rosa.

“You've got this, okay?”

Ally had said to Rosa. She truly believed Rosa María could win. The girl was certainly someone the others wouldn't wanna vote for, everyone seemed to like her too much to truly vote for her, not to mention she was pretty good in challenges. She'd eventually let go of her hand, waving her lover a goodbye as she got on the bus.

She may not have won, but at least she has a wonderful girlfriend.
